Defect. ON CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES BUILT ON FORD CHASSIS, THE FASTENERS HOLDING THE FUEL TANK MOUNTING STRAPS MAY NOT HAVE BEEN PROPERLY TIGHTENED, ALLOWING THE POSSIBILITY FOR THE FUEL TANK TO LOOSEN AND FALL.

Risk. IF THE FUEL TANK FALLS, THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR THE TANK TO IGNITE, RESULTING IN PERSONAL INJURY, VEHICLE AND PROPERTY DAMAGE.

Remedy. DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND PROPERLY TIGHTEN THE FASTENERS TO THE FUEL TANK STRAPS. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 15, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT WINNEBAGO AT 614-585-6939.

REAR BRAKES FAILED AFTER DRIVING 31 MILES FROM HOME. TOLD IT WAS A COMMON OCCURRENCE ON WORKHORSE CHASSIS. REAR BRAKES WERE REPLACED, AND FRONT BRAKES SERVICED. DROVE ANOTHER 30 MILES AND THEN THE FRONT BRAKES FAILED. AM CONCERNED THAT IF I CONTINUE DRIVING THIS UNIT I MAY HAVE FURTHER PROBLEMS. THIS SOUNDS LIKE A MANUFACTURING PROBLEM.
