The vehicle has experienced intermittent loss of power/acceleration when taking off from a stop. When the accelerator pedal is pressed, the vehicle sometimes does not accelerate normally or has substantially reduced power. This creates a safety concern because the vehicle may not accelerate as expected when entering or crossing traffic or in other situations where predictable acceleration is necessary. This has been happening off and on for several month. Around the same time, the vehicle's fuel economy decreased significantly. The vehicle had previously averaged approximately 37 MPG and is now averaging approximately 22–25 MPG under generally similar driving conditions. The vehicle was taken to an authorized Toyota dealership for inspection. The dealership was unable to identify a mechanical problem and reset the vehicle's computers. I was told the reduced fuel economy could be related to the computers relearning my driving habits. After the vehicle was returned to me, the loss-of-power/acceleration condition occurred again, so the issue remains unresolved. There have been no warning lights or dashboard messages associated with the loss of power. The specific component or cause of the malfunction is UNKNOWN. The vehicle is available for further inspection. Toyota corporate has also been notified and has opened a case regarding the unresolved condition.

There is an interior design defect on the 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross XSE regarding sharp, overlapping hard plastic edges located directly underneath the steering column and lower dashboard assembly. The clearance in this specific area is too narrow for normal vehicle ingress and egress. As a result, the driver's knees repeatedly strike and scrape against this sharp plastic seam when getting in and out of the vehicle. This has caused multiple bodily injuries within two months of ownership: a recent open skin abrasion with bleeding on the right knee, and a dark scar from a previous injury two weeks ago on the left knee. This recurring injury hazard poses a safety and ergonomic risk to drivers.

I purchased this vehicle new December 2025. 4 times now it has lost throttle control after turning in traffic. Only to after a second or two to suddenly accelerate unexpectedly at full throttle. This has been periodic for 4 months now. The dealer says they can’t replicate the incident, and they are finished investigating it. Leaving me in fear that an accident is eminent.

2nd incident. As I was driving on the highway, approaching an exit on my righthand side. I kept following the straight path in my lane, the lane assit of my vehicle assumed I was exiting my lane and jerked the steering wheel from my hands. My car dangerously veered into the lefthand lane.

Pooling of water on passenger side of vehicle. Drain tube clogged HVAC under 2300 miles. They stated it was because I ran through a mud puddle and denied the warranty and will not cover the interior of the vehicle. The interior is moldy from the water exposure, and the electrical system has been compromised. I cannot use the vehicle as the mold poses an immediate environmental safety concern for my family to include by 1 year old child.

I was driving on my way into work on highway 169 Northbound going 65 mph in the left lane with nobody in the front of me, and nobody to the right of me, and head a loud popping noise, turns out that my windshield cracked. It started as a 6"-8" crack, and then it grew across the entire windshield over a couple of days. The crack is on the inside of the car, not on the outside, which means that it does not have an impact point on it. A crack to suddenly appear with a loud pop is a stress fracture. To have a windshield spontaneously crack while driving is extremely concerning. I brought the car into Burnsville Toyota Service Center, who denied warranty work when the car never moved from the spot, as confirmed with my Toyota App as it updates when the car was last moved. I argued with them by showing photos, pointing out that the crack was on the inside of the windshield, and spoke with the Toyota Customer Service Line, who told me to try a different dealership. When I brought my car to Bloomington Toyota, they said that they would not do anything as they "didn't have any skin in the game since I didn't buy it from them." Ultimately, I had my windshield replaced by Safelite, who confirmed with three separate techs that the windshield cracked on the inside, and did not have an impact point. Furthermore, my fiance stopped by Burnsville Toyota, and they tried to claim that they brought my car to a nearby LaMettry's to confirm it had an impact point, none of which was communicated to

UNKNOWN. There’s been chatter going around with the L and LE trim line of the Corolla Cross having bad lighting at night. I’ve been told by multiple people to “turn on my lights” meaning my tail end of the car has only two small red LED lights and license plate lights. the 3rd break light only comes on to break then off. there are no other lights in the back. In the rain a few weeks ago I saw other cars pull far back from myself due to they could barely see me on the road.

As of June 22, 2026, the vehicle has been out of service for more than 120 days. Toyota has failed to provide a repair date, repair timeline, or meaningful resolution despite multiple contacts, a certified mail notice, and attorney involvement. Toyota Case Number: 260323003356.

The tail lights on the Toyota Corolla Cross LE 2026 are not as bright as one would think they should be. I've been informed of this by a few passerbys and other drivers. The tail lights on the Cross are very dim and there only two. Very hard to see on a late night. Been told by other Cross drivers of this issue as well, and believe Toyota should make them tighter for the evening hours.

On the freeway after around 10 miles a vibration starts at 70mph and up to 80mph, it gets worse, its from the rear, you can feel it in the steering, through the floor, and seat, over 80 the whole car is one constant resonating vibration, tires have been replaced and conformed ok. Toyota are not doing anything to resolve the issue, and will not drive it as I request, and will not invite me to drive along with them.

I own a 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross XLE with very low mileage. The windshield cracked unexpectedly and Toyota replaced the windshield under manufacturer warranty on February 9, 2026. Shortly after the replacement, the windshield cracked again. The vehicle currently has only a few thousand miles (3315 mileage) I am concerned there may be a defect involving the windshield, vehicle structure, frame stress, or windshield installation. The issue has now happened more than once on a nearly new vehicle. The repeated windshield cracking creates a safety concern because it affects visibility and could compromise driver safety while operating the vehicle. Toyota has escalated my case internally for further review. The windshield and repair history are available for inspection upon request.

No unusual pattern of severe incidents in the complaint record.

Complaint counts track how many cars were sold and how long they have been on the road as much as they track quality. A common model from 2013 has had a decade to accumulate reports; a rare one from last year has not. The signal worth weighing is in the severity columns, in whether the same component keeps appearing, and in whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.

Most recent recall on file: none. Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation.
