Temsa: Equipment › Other › Labels
Temsa reported this defect to federal regulators on Sep 6, 2019 and put the number of vehicles at risk at 557. The repair is free for as long as the recall stands.
The defect
Temsa Global Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S. (Temsa) is recalling 2013-2020 certain TS35C, TS35E and TS45 buses. The instruction label of the emergency exit windows may be inadequate to clearly describe how to open the push out windows quickly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release."
The risk
Delays in opening emergency exits can increase the risk of an injury in the event of an emergency.
The remedy
Temsa will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the labels, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began October 16, 2019. Owners may contact Temsa customer service at 1-407-271-8935.

What this page is, and what to do next
A recall is not an opinion. It is a Part 573 report a manufacturer is required by federal law to file once it decides a defect poses an unreasonable risk to safety, and it commits them to repairing the vehicle at no cost to the owner. The three passages above are the manufacturer’s own wording as published by NHTSA.
This page describes the campaign. It cannot tell you whether one particular car has already been through the shop — that is tracked by VIN, and only the manufacturer knows it. Check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a franchised dealer, quoting campaign number 19V646000.
