My tranmission is not liable. My vehicle jerks, steering wheel vibrates when I hold it at a speed like 45. I have written you before. Nothing will be done. I waiting for it to just die and not move. I know a lot of Nissan Roque have Transmission problems and there is a recall out there. But since mine doesn't show any codes nothing will be done. I don't understand why wait before it does leave me stranded. Or maybe I have a lemon of a vehicle

In my 2017.5 Nissan Rouge, which I purchased brand new, I am experiencing a serious life-threatening issue. It has occurred five times in the last 3 months when I attempt to accelerate from a stopped position, pressing the gas pedal,It does not move until I press very hard. The engine lags and seems to be in 1st gear for about 15 min or so until I turn it off and restart it again to return to normal operation. The vehicle has a mileage of only 62000. I believe it to be a defective CVT transmission. Dealership had been informed and waiting for their response. will update once I get a response.
Key wouldn't start the car. It was in lock mode. Had to get it repaired. I had issues with the stario before where it went blank and nonsound will come out. Got it fixed, how, there are times where it comes and goes.
My vehicle is starting to jerk at times. Doesn't do it all the time, but it is bad. When driving it will jerk, and if the speed is 45 mph and you hold it at that speed the steering wheel will shake. The engine doesn't sound right. I have had it checked and it is the transmission. Yes there's is a recall on it. But since no lights have come on the Transmission can not be replaced. Something needs to be done before I am stranded some where. Don't know what the big deal is for you to fix it when you know there are problems with it.
While driving i started to notice my RPM increasing and my acceleration decreasing. I have stayed up to date and proactive on maintenance. at 110000 miles my transmission has started to have gear slips, My RPMs increase and my car will randomly lose the ability to accelerate at random times leaving me vulnerable to an accident car crash.
The liftgate has been malfunctioning. It will go up, and out of now where completely falls. It has fell on me and my 1 year old when I was getting something in the trunk and had to quickly throw my 1 year old into the trunk so he did not get injured, but it fell on my back. My car was taken to the dealership on [XXX] to confirm there is something mechanically wrong with the liftgate. There were no warning signs of the trunk just dropping. AWD LIGHT WARNING ARE STAY ON WHILE THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR LIGHTS ARE ON
The Supplemental air bag warning light illuminated. I call dealership and they are willing to schedule an appointment and charge $225 for a diagnostic test. Depending on the issue, the solution/remedy may cost anywhere between $300 and $1000. In my situation, the supplemental air bag warning light remains on after approximately 7 seconds.
Was driving on [XXX] from Sioux Falls, SD to Rapid City, SD on [XXX]. Just east of the [XXX], SD exit, we hit black ice driving approximately 75mph. We lost control, and the car went head first into a metal cable guard rail. The front end is destroyed, and the front doors and roof also received significant damage. I do believe that insurance is going to consider it a total loss based upon my observation and the response of the body shop it is currently at. None of the airbags deployed, even given the speed we were driving and the direct head on impact. The Trooper originally said that he was not going to ticket me for anything as I was driving under the speed limit and not overdriving, however, came back later and said that he would have to ticket me because the DOT would throw a fit if he didn't because they would have to fix the guard rail. Front collision sensor goes off every once in awhile it seeming that there's a person in front of the vehicle when there's no one on the street and also it goes off when it rains or snows or it's foggy out it doesn't work.
Vehicle consistently loses power, very loud noise as it is revving up, no lights are on for warnings, sounds as if it is trying to change gears but will not. The a/c also quits working during small climbs or long trips or especially in hilly areas.
Passenger air bag lite does not detect person in seat. Have seen this recall but told by vin number doesn't qualify even though it is same problem. $3100 to fix
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the vehicle was designed to turn off when pressing the Push to Stop button regardless of which gear it was in. The contact stated that while turning off the vehicle while it was in reverse(R), in drive (D), or in neutral (N), the vehicle rolled. The contact stated the failure also occurred when turning off the vehicle while it was in the park(P). There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that on one occasion, the vehicle rolled and hit his wife while she was attempting to stop the vehicle from rolling. The contact's wife fell on the pavement. The vehicle then hit another unoccupied parked vehicle. A police report was filed. The contact's wife sustained pain on the left shoulder and left knee, but did not see medical assistance. The dealer was notified of the failure and charged a diagnostic testing fee. The contact declined to pay the fee. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000. The VIN was not available.
My car is a 2017 Nissan Rogue hybrid. It jerks a lot when moving, when it starts moving, I feel that the electric engine does not provide power and it switches to a gasoline engine, while the car jerks strongly and can jerk sharply when I release the gas pedal. When moving backwards, it also jerks strongly; when moving uphill, you have to press the gas pedal hard to climb the hill. I found out that this car model often had problems with the brakes and the Nissan company repaired these cars and recalled them. 2022-2024 Nissan CVT Transmission Settlement Update (Rogue ... Nissan agreed to pay over $277 million as part of the settlement to resolve certain defective transmissions claims. The following Nissan models are included in the 2022 Nissan CVT settlement: 2014 – 2018 Nissan Rogue. 2015 – 2018 Nissan Pathfinder. One of the auto mechanics reported that when you press the gas pedal a little, the electric motor does not push the car, does not move the car forward, there is no force in it. But already when driving, it is triggered, since the car is on the move and moves by inertia. This auto mechanic reported that the problem is with this electric motor and it is attached to the transmission, and to replace it, you need to completely change the transmission with this electric motor. I ask you to please help me in solving this problem, because of this I am very worried and worried, it is difficult to communicate with Nissan representatives.
I am the owner of a 2017 Nissan Rogue SV FWD. Bought the vehicle back in October 2022 with a clear history with no prior accidents reported on the vehicle. Recently while driving to work, my brakes on my 2017 Nissan Rogue suddenly braked or locked up without me pressing the brake pedal. There was no vehicles in ahead of me nor in back of me yet still the brakes engaged. This has caused my 2017 Nissan Rogue to lose traction and hydroplane across the lanes on the freeway and in doing so sending me crashing into the concrete barrier in the medium. It has been raining that day and while it was raining at the time of the incident, me hydroplaning unexpectedly was inevitable. The impact with the concrete barrier send me careening backward to now face the oncoming traffic that were behind me more than two hundred feet away. I look to the dash and discovered the "automatic braking" light on. Not wanting to get struck by oncoming drivers, I managed to move my vehicle to a safe location and turn the engine off. I like to also add that the driver side airbag on the 2017 Nissan Rogue DID NOT deploy from the impact. No drivers or other vehicles were struck damaged or impact from the incident. I have started a claim on the night of the incident and my vehicle is currently being inspected by my insurance agent.
On many occasions, the AEB (FEB) engages on its own, when there is not vehicle or item in the car's path. This is a safety issue, as it can happen in traffic, which is likely to cause a collision. This week I took the vehicle to Regal Nissan in Roswell, GA and made them aware of the situation. I was told, "This is a technologically advanced vehicle. If dirt or debris is on the front of the vehicle, it can cause the AEB to engage." The dealership said there was a software update to the AEB that they would perform. They did not inspect the AEB system, but said if it happens again bring it back and they will look at it further. When I got in my care to leave, I found a photocopied page (page 5-85) of the owner's manual that they left for me. The highlighted a sections that said: The radar sensor may NOT detect a vehicle ahead in the following conditions: - Dirt, ice, snow or other material covering the radar sensor". Again - it's not that the system is not detecting something in the path of the car, it's that it is engaging on its own. The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving at approximately 35-50 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. The Fire Department arrived and pushed the vehicle to the nearest highway exit. The vehicle was able to be restarted, but the failure recurred. The contact stated that the RPM fluctuated, and the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to AutoZone, where the DTC Code for the CVT judder was retrieved. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 131,000.
The hood does not seem secure while driving 55mph or above.
The heat in my vehicle only works on the passenger side. It does not blow out warm or hot on the driver's side. This is due to a stripped actuator in the blend door. Yes, it is available for inspection upon request. I live in Colorado where it gets very cold. Because the heat doesn't work on the driver's side, the windshield doesn't defrost well. This is a hazard because I cannot see through my windshield when I'm driving and it's cold out. Yes, this problem was inspected and confirmed by a local Nissan Dealer in Lakewood, Colorado. There are no warning messages. There are a LOT of other people having this exact same problem. See some of the blogs below. There are also some YouTube videos... check out the comments for even more people experiencing the same issue. The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while the vehicle was being serviced at the dealer, the contact was informed of a CVT failure after a diagnostic test. The contact stated while driving 15 MPH and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to respond and failed to exceed 15 MPH. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact pulled over to the side of the road. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle, and the vehicle responded as needed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 117,000.
The contact owned a 2017 Nissan Rouge. The contact stated that upon his wife's arrival home, she smelled a sweet odor in the interior of the vehicle. Later that morning, after the contact attempted to enter the vehicle utilizing the keyless entry, the vehicle failed to unlock. After a visual inspection of the interior of the vehicle, the contact observed that the front driver's side door control panel had been damaged and melted consistent with a fire. Additionally, the front driver window was cracked. Local emergency services were called, but the fire had been extinguished on its own. A fire report was filed, with no injuries reported. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic and was instead deemed a total loss. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to Campaign Bulletin PC934. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but did not assist. The failure mileage was 119,000.
Around 80,000 miles our car, when it's been driven about an hour, starts to hesitate when I escalate when slowed or stopped. It's about a 3 second hesitation that is very dangerous if I try to drive across a busy 4 lane road. I have come very close to being hit several times due to this hesitation. I am very aware there has been lawsuits in regards to this. I read in the lawsuit that Nissan put some sort of chip in the engine to allow it to last longer but it also causes this hesitation when the engine gets warm. In order to stop this, I have to literally shut the car off, back on, then this hesitation stops for awhile. It's as if the microchip has been rebooted or something when the car is shut off. I called the dealership here an they say they never heard of this but I find it hard to believe since others like me with this 2017 ROGUE, have the same issues and some have paid for a new transmission. I cannot afford that especially when it's Nissan who is causing it. I did contact Nissan and they told me since the mileage is over 100,000 now they will do nothing. I haven't taken it to the dealer service after a conversation I had over the phone. I was treated unfairly and talked down to for being female. They spoke to me as if I was terribly ignorant. I told them I read about other people's issue with the ROGUE from the class action suit. I didn't just read it off some web page. Besides, even if they diagnosed my car for what I have described, I Don't have the money to replace
I have water leak and mold growing in the passenger side of the vehicle for about a month. I took car to Rockaway Nissan, where i bought the vehicle. The dealer Stated that, they found sunroof drain hoses clogged with water and debris causing back flow of water into cabin which they claimed cleared and tested for leak and should remedy the issue. Unfortunately, i am still having the leak even after the work they did. I took my car to get inspected and check for leak again. Now they are saying that they don't know where the water is coming from and they advised me that it is safety hazard to drive this car and advised me to call Nissan Corporate office directly. I called Nissan Consumers affairs, and they are saying that it is the dealer that is supposed to fix not them. am worried that driving this car can create fire and other safety hazard with all this water leaking. Thank You
I was driving home from work and my car braked really hard without me touching the brake. The dash board light flashed a warning that was red and white and an alarm went off. This is available upon request. My safety was put at risk because this happened as I was accelerating through a green traffic light. There were people behind me who could have slammed into me, endangering me and them. This happened one other time last week but for a short period of time and it barely braked. It has not yet been inspected, but I plan to call my local dealership.
August 2022 Passenger Vehicle Seat Belt system light came on, concern was if the seat belt would work when occupied. Vehicle was taken to Baytown Nissan for Passenger seat belt light malfunction, was advised to replace the Occupant Control Unit and Occupant Pressure Sensor with Callibration 3.0. The light eventually corrected itself. August 2023 The Passenger Airbag Light stayed on and says the Airbag is turned off when someone is seated in the vehicle, concern is occupant safety. Took vehicle to Baytown Nissan for diagnostic, code is b00a0 module malfunction, again advised to replace OCS Control and Callibrate. I have seen previous recalls on air bag malfunctions and would like to know why this is not a safety recall. This is my fourth Nissan vehicle and never had this problem and the other vehicles were older.
The contact owned a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at 5 MPH and turning, the vehicle had shut off independently which caused the contact to get rear-ended. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle shutting off caused the crash. The air bags did deploy. The contact was not sure how fast the other vehicle was going at the time of the crash. A police report was filed. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to reach out to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 101,500.
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that the vehicle occasionally stalled while idling. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and the vehicle operated as needed. While driving at various speeds, the vehicle independently decelerated with the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the intake manifold had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired due to parts being on back order. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 83,000.
Intake manifold part number 14001-7FH0C broke down while driving. Vehicle would not accelerate, when taken to mechanic, the code indicated that the intake manifold needs to be replaced. Nissan is aware of this and i have a case number with them. Case # [XXX] I was on the freeway when this happened, me and my wife were both very worried because there was no exit nearby as we were going up and down hills with other vehicles going around us. The component was inspected by a mechanic at Sun Devil Auto. I contacted the Nissan dealership and when they received the code error, they said I did not need to bring the vehicle in for inspection as that part is needed to be replaced. There were no warnings, no symptoms, and no warning lamps initially. This all happened as I was on a road trip from Gilbert, AZ to Williams, AZ. Then suddenly before I reached Payson, AZ it stopped accelerating. It took about 3 hours of driving this way maybe between speeds of 35-40mph back from Payson, AZ to Gilbert, AZ before the check engine light ignited and I was able to get the vehicle diagnosed at my nearest mechanic. I ordered the intake manifold and paid for it on 7/31/2023, but it has been on backorder because they stopped production on the original version and only want to sell an "updated" version of it as this failure known to Nissan USA Inc. The transmission is jerking going from first to second gear. The rpm's will rev up but I get no speed. This vehicle only has 96,000 miles currently. The problem started occurring around 90,000 miles and took our family a while to figure out what was happening. It started out as a slight jerking and now is becoming quite problematic. I have reached out to the Nissan manufacturer to file a complaint but have not got anything from them with the exception of an apology. As we research this is a very common problem and yet there has not been a recall on the transmission unfortunately. This is putting our family in danger as we have to visit our family in two different states and often do not have good cell phone reception due to the mountainous regions. Now we do not feel safe traveling with this vehicle. We expected to get many more miles on this vehicle as our last vehicle was a Murano and got well over 200,000 miles. We have read that there has been instances where the transmission was replaced and covered up to 120,000 miles. Customer service at Nissan corporate informed us otherwise and stated it was only for models up to 2010. Our extended warranty is now out and we are not covered for the power train currenly.
The automatic emergency braking system activated when there was no hazard. it was a full on panic stop with ABS engaging. The event lasted about 2 seconds. There were no other cars near by so there was no incident. This is the first time this has happened and the Rogue was fine for the rest of that drive. the front sensor was free from obstruction when looked at about 10 mins later.
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 MPH, the vehicle experienced unintended braking. The failure recurred approximately 3 days later. The contact stated that there was a RED triangle with an exclamation warning light indication a Critical Warning message. The vehicle had not been taken to the dealer or independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 45,000.
The defrost only blows out cold air, along with the drivers side heat. Heat comes out of the passenger side but the defrost and drivers side is always cold. The cold defrost makes for LESS visibility and freezes the windshield making it unsafe to drive in winter conditions or cold conditions. The actuator door has been replaced twice and did not fix the issue. The dealership has recommended the entire Heater / AC Unit Assembly being replaced for $3000. This is a common safety concern with the Nissan Rogue and should be recalled before further accidents/injuries/problems occur.
Forward collision warning failed leading to accident. Automatic emergency braking didn’t engage leading to accident. I didn’t have ANY warning of impending collision. The car made no attempt to brake or alert. I heard a beeping sound on impact but nothing prior. No lights, no warnings, and all assistive safety features failed to activate prior to impact. My safety was put at risk when assistive features failed. The car hit was damaged and pedestrians were in danger from car impact and flying debris. The car was a total loss and my life was in danger. I was injured and taken by ambulance to ER with head injury, broken rib, severe bruising and torn rib cage. The car was inspected by police and insurance. Police report indicated No emergency braking.
On multiple occasions this vehicle has lost power whilst driving on public roads including but not limited to interstate roadways. The vehicle will be operating normally at speeds of up to 75 miles per hour (depending on the posted speed limit) and will suddenly lose power and speed to such a degree that it is unsafe and the speed cannot be regained. Vehicle has been inspected and "fixed" on multiple occasions, in multiple states including but not limited to Missouri and South Carolina where the incidents have occurred, however the issue has continued to occur. The locations the vehicle has been inspected and "fixed" include both dealerships and independently owned garage repair shops. The Nissan dealership has advised this issue is not under warrantee and is not part of a recall. They have advised there is a recall of the engine of the 2017 Nissan Rogue Electric vehicle only for the same issue.
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, the vehicle hesitated and lost motive power. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle returned to normal functionality. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed the vehicle with exhaust manifold, air-fuel ratio sensor, and O2 sensor failures. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related it to Voluntary Emission Recall Campaign PC717, but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 90,000.
BEFORE THE 3 YEAR WARRANTY ON CAR RAN OUT. WHEN WE BROUGHT CAR INTO DEALERSHIP FOR OIL CHANGES AND CHECKUPS WE MENTIONED THAT PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG LIGHT WAS GOING ON AND OFF. BROUGHT BACK INTO DEALERSHIP AFTER 3 YEARS AND ASKED THEM TO REPAIR PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG THAT WAS STAYING ON CONSTANTLY...THE DEALERSHIP SAID THAT THEY WANTED AT LEAST $600 TO REPAIR OR TRY TO FIX IT AND THEY SAID THEY HAD NO RECORD OF OUR COMPLAINTS LISTED FOR OUR CAR! LEFT DEALERSHIP WITH NO WORK DONE DUE TO WE DID NOT HAVE FUNDS FOR THAT. TOOK OUR CAR IN 11/2022 TO AN AUTO REPAIR SERVICE SHOP AND THEY RAN A DIAGNOSTIC AND RECALABER ON THIS PROBLEM. NOTHING WORKED AT THE COST OF $265. WAS TOLD BY BOTH PLACES THAT PASSENGER FRONT SIDE AIRBAG COULD OR COULD NOT WORK..NO WAY OF TELLING UNLESS AIR BAGS WERE DEPLOYED. TOLD TO TAKE BACK TO DEALERSHIP AND HAVE THEM DO WORK.....LIKE CHECK WIRING UNDER SEATS ETC. DO OTHER NISSAN ROGUE OWNERS HAVE THIS SAME PROBLEM?
This has happened multiple times on Interstate 20. I will merge onto the interstate and my Rogue will lose power completely. I can have the gas pedal almost at the ground and there is no acceleration. The RPM will go up to 4 but literally no acceleration is happening. I can feel the car get to 60 and then it won’t go any faster. At times when idle at a red light or in a parking spot so many warning lights will come on about pedestrian crossing and some other odd ones. If I turn the car off for 30+ seconds the car resets back to normal until the next time it does it. I don’t know if these two issues are related but both are impacting the trust I have in this vehicle to get me where I need to go and arrive alive. I have cell records and photos from some of the times the lack of acceleration situation happened because I was so frightened I called my spouse or son to ask what was happening. The incidents on I20 my children were also in the car and could feel that we were not going fast enough to keep up with traffic and could no accelerate or increase speed with the gas pedal going down, down
The vehicle is well maintained with about 102,400 miles. There has been no previous indication that the transmission had any issues. While operating the vehicle under normal conditions. I drove about 10 miles and entered the highway. While accelerating to meet the speed limit of 70mph the vehicle began to experience a sudden loss of power. The RPMs would spike but the vehicle would decelerate. There were no warning lamps or other indications of what was wrong. I left the highway at the next exit and when I stopped to inspect the vehicle I found that the vehicle would not initially go into gear when I tried to get back on the road. The vehicle eventually went back into gear, though accelerating was jerky and inconsistent. I took it to Valvoline for an inspection and oil change. They found that the fluid levels were normal and could see no other indications of faults. I then took it to the Nissan dealership, where it is right now. The dealership recommended a transmission replacement.
Twice in two years the sunroof drains have clogged causing severe water leaking into the cabin of the vehicle. The first time, the dealer cleaned them out and took everything out of my car to clean it, including seats and carpet. Now they are saying I will have to pay for it. Nissan has a recall regarding a leak into the dash side harness, I am wondering if this is only on vehicles with sunroofs. I talked to Nissan, they said there is nothing they will do for the issue. When I called the service department at the local Nissan dealer, I was told by one of their managers, "Thats why I will never buy a Nissan with a sunroof". This is clearly a known issue, there are thousands of people talking about this issue on forums. I was criticized when I was asked if the vehicle is usually parked outside. I told them that it was, which is not an abnormal practice in the US. Basically they said its my fault for the leak because I park outside. The main issue now is that the car is so waterlogged that it is starting to mold or mildew. Everything in the car is soaked, it is unusable. I do not understand how they know about this issue but have not done a recall to fix it.
The automatic emergency brake will activate when it's not supposed to. Then it will take several seconds for me to be able to drive again. This has caused me to almost be rear ended several times. I can turn the auto brake system off but it will come back on, on it's own.
It does not detect forward collision especially when it rains heavy.

It failed at 109.422 miles. This is shocking and unacceptable and expensive! Approximately $6,000 to repair/replace transmission which made the vehicle more costly than its trade in value. Repair estimate performed by South Austin Nissan. Contacted manufacturer and was referred to the Kbb class action website for information.
The car siezes and stops instantly with a MALFUNCTION that is sensing something that is not present. It has happened over 6 times, within 2 weeks. It has been reported to Twin City Nissan (409)727-2779 three times. Nissan serviced a recall by “reprogramming” on 8-2-2023. The incident has continued to occur. 8-3-2023 a Nissan technician was riding in the car when the MALFUNCTION siezed the car to a stop again. No code was detected on their computer monitoring system at that time. The dealership said they could no longer assist with repairing the defect because they can not even determine what is causing it. It was suggested by the technician that I manually disarm the Emergency Brake System every time I start the car. Service manager told me there was nothing else to be done and wished me “good luck”. I have requested the service information for the follow-up on 8-3-2023. The dealership states the information has not been entered by the Service Manager nor the technician who performed the computer analysis.
2017 Nissan Rouge should be recalled due to Faulty Transmission (Transmission Malfunction). 2017 Nissan Rouge is dangerous and places the life of driver, passengers and others at risk. Vehicle is available for inspection. On 07/20/2023 at approximately 10pm I arrived home with my Senior Mother and 5-year-old son who were seated in the back seat of my 2017 Nissan Rouge. I placed the car in park in my driveway, my 2017 Nissan Rouge remained in park for approximately 2 minutes while I removed an item from my driveway. When I returned to my vehicle that was in park for approximately 2 minutes with my Senior Mother and 5-year-old son in the backseat, I proceeded to turn the key that was in the ignition and pulled it out of the ignition. When I pulled the key out of the ignition the car proceeded to roll back while I was standing in the driver's door. My Mother and child began to scream that the car was moving and I was stuck between the driver's car door and the vehicle, so I reached for the emergency breaks as I was thrown to the ground, dragged and injured. Car rolled away and crashed into my neighbor's vehicle with my mother and child inside Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center: Problem was confirmed by a class action lawsuit (Case No. 3:21-cv-00099). Other Nissan Rouge car owners experienced their Nissan Rouge rolling away after placing vehicle in park due to transmission failure. Nissan did not recall the vehicles and awarded

Occasionally, when attempting to start driving from a complete stop (from a stop sign, traffic light, etc.) the Rogue will delay to accelerate and not move more than a few miles per hour for a few seconds before fully engaging. This is a safety issue when attempting to turn left at a green light, or crossing streets from a stop sign because there is no way to tell if the Rogue will delay in accelerating until you press the gas pedal. I have found that this is more likely to start happening after driving in stop and go traffic or on a route that has frequent stops. Also, occasionally after driving in stop and go traffic, the Rogue will begin to rev high and not accelerate. In both cases, if the Rogue is turned off and restarted, the problem stops and the Rogue accelerates normally again.
Sadly disappointed in the fact that my transmission is failing and is a known issue with these vehicles. I have contacted Nissan and their Infinity Consumer Affairs has called back. I try to call them back and get nothing but a voicemail. They don’t seem to want to address this issue. The transmission will not initially engage in either reverse or drive. It also upshifts for no reason when driving. It has about 93k miles on it and the transmission is junk. The company should have recalled all these cvt transmissions. I pulled it from my daughter to have her stop driving it due to I didn’t want her stranded on the side of the road while Nissan dances around my issue and other customers’ issues with these junky transmissions. I put a lot of faith in the Nissan brand to only be soured by this experience.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
