2011 Nissan Juke

Defect. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2011-2012 Nissan Juke vehicles previously remedied under recall 12V-069. During that recall remedy, the fuel pressure sensor may not have been properly tightened, potentially causing the sensor to loosen and leak fuel.

Risk. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will tighten the fuel pressure sensor to the proper torque, free of charge. The recall began on April 24, 2018. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669.

Defect. NISSAN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011-2012 JUKE, INFINITI QX AND INFINITI M VEHICLES. THE FUEL PRESSURE SENSORS MAY NOT HAVE BEEN TIGHTENED TO THE CORRECT SPECIFICATION. AS A RESULT, THE FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR MAY LOOSEN DUE TO HEAT AND VIBRATION CAUSING FUEL TO LEAK.

The contact stated that on several occasions while driving up hills, mostly at approximately 30 MPH, the vehicle jerked and lost power. The contact stated that on other occasions when gas was added to the vehicle and the vehicle began driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where the failure could not be replicated. The contact added that on several occasions while parked, the vehicle did not start. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer after being notified of the recall associated with the vehicle to have the recall repaired, but the dealer stated that they did not have the right tools to make the repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

My 2011 nissan juke has approximately 118,000 miles and I've ran out of gas several times even when it said there was 88 miles left in the tank and the traction control light won't go off it stays on constantly along with the check engine light and tire pressure warning light and its making a squealing noise and its losing power I've only had it a year I know they have been recalled for certain reasons but I'm not sure if this car has been fixed or not i can't afford to get it fixed due to health and medical bills including hospital bills from when my wife passed away I'm finding several issues people have had with the jukes why isnt nissan extending the recalls because for people who buy them from private people dont know if the car has been recalled or fixed its very unsafe I've lost power while driving at 45 miles an hour because it ran out of gas even when it displayed 88 miles left my car needs fixed and its expensive I had to replace the ball joint and was told it was going to be almost 700$ or it wouldn't pass inspection this car has turned into a money pit i can't even resell it i need help getting it fixed please

Engine Failure and Exhaust issue.

I bought this car LATE 2019, from a used dealership. I WAS ON THE FREEWAY ON MY WAY BACK FROM A 1 1/2 HR DRIVE. AND THE CAR SUDDENLY STOPPED ACCELERATING.! I WOULD PUSH DOWN ON THE GAS PETAL AND NOTHING. FREEWAY WITH TRAFFIC. IT WAS SO SCARY! THE CARS BEHIND ME ALMOST HIT ME! I MANAGED TO PUT ON MY HAZARDS LIGHTS ON AND PULLED OVER. THEN WAITED A WHILE, AND THEN TURNED IT BACK ON AND IT WORKED. THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN. AN SO ON UNTIL I MADE IT BACK HOME, MY 1 HOUR DRIVE TURN INTO 3HRS BECAUSE I KEPT PULLING OVER., UNTIL I GOT INTO THE NEAREST TOWN TO A AUTOZONE TO CHECK IT. BECAUSE THE ENGINE LIGHT TURN ON, THEY WERE ABLE TO GIVE ME SOME CODES REGARDING THE ISSUE. APPARENTLY IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE ●POWER TRAIN SYSTEM. CVT. TORQUE CONVERTER. IM NOT TO SURE WHAT IS THAT. IT HAPPENED ON THE FREEWAY, AND I WAS TERRIFIED! ITS ALSO IMPORTANT TO MENTION THAT JUST ONE MONTH AGO I PAYED AROUND $700 TO FIX THE SUSPENSION, AND CV JOINTS, NOT SURE THE NAME OF THE PROBLEM IT HAD. BUT IT WAS SOMETHING THAT KEPT EATING MY TIRES OUT.! I KEPT BUYING NEW AND USED TIRES, I EVEN TOOK IT TO GET IT ALIGNED. BUT IT KEPT EATING MY TIRES UP, THEN IN A TIRESHOP THEY TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO A MECHANIC BECAUSE IT SEEM THAT SOMETHING WAS VERY BAD. BECAUSE THE TIRES THEY WOULDN'T LAST, I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC AND HE SAID THAT I WAS IN DANGER BECAUSE THE CV JOINTS (I THINK THAT IS WHAT HE SAID) WERE ALMOST ABOUT TO FALL OFF.! BECAUSE THEY WERE DAMAGED AND THATS WAS ANOTHER ISSUE I HAD WITH THIS CAR.

The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.

Transmission has a problem with overheating on any trip longer than an hour, leading to the car going into limp mode and being unable to maintain speeds and/or climb any high % grade. This has happened to me multiple times, leading to an immediate loss of power and the need to pull over and park on mountain roads to avoid rolling backwards. This is a known issue on juke forums, and nissan themselves have code read countless cars with the CVT transmission being the issue.

The timing chain rattled, wearing a hole in the timing cover causing oil leak. After driving my car and parking it, all of the oil leaked out on to the ground. When trying to drive the car, even before the oil leak, the car would completely shut off whenever I would slow down, including in the middle of intersections. After taking it to a mechanic, they told me that the timing chain had worn a hole in the timing cover, and a Nissan dealership service shop told me that I would need to get the engine replaced. Even before all of the oil leaked out, I was put in great danger not knowing when my car would shut off when driving it and slowing down. At one point, the service engine soon light came on, but it went away and the car drove like normal for a period before the oil leaked out. I was never informed about any recalls or service notices when I bought the car or when getting it routinely serviced.

Problem with EVAP system. Many different codes are showing which means paying an extreme amount of money to diagnose problem and repair. Could be solenoid issue with the turbo part. CANNOT GET MY CAR SMOGGED because of this. The need service light does not go off. I am going to have to spend thousands at the dealer. This should be a recall issue.

REPORTED TO NISSANUSA ABOUT SITUATION AND WAS TOLD ALL RECALLS WERE CLOSED ON VEHICLE, I'M JUST CONCERNED THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE RETAINING TO A PART THAT WAS ALREADY RECALLED FOR FEAR OF FAILURE AND RISK AND REPLACED WITH ANOTHER PART THAT IS INFERIOR OR REINSTALLED INCORRECTLY. SECOND FAILURE OF TIMING CHAIN AND FRONT COVER AFTER INITIAL REPAIR UNDER CAMPAIGN P4213. FAILURE IS OF EXACT SAME PARTS REPLACED UNDER CAMPAIGN, BUT NISSAN IS REFUSING TO ASSIST IN ANY WAY WITH A SECOND REPAIR. FAILURE OF THESE PARTS CAUSES A MASSIVE OIL DUMP, STALLING OF VEHICLE, AND FURTHER DAMAGE IF DRIVEN. CAR STALLED WHILE TURNING INTO A GAS STATION AND DUMPED ALL OIL.

CAR SUDDENLY WILL NOT START OUT OF THE BLUES, TOOK THE CAR TO DEALER AND FOUND IPDM E/R AND ECM WENT BAD SUDDENLY. NOW IT'S ABOUT $1700 IN REPAIRS BILL FOR A NO START ISSUE.

WHEN DRIVING FOR 40 MINUTES OR MORE, GOING 60 MPH OR HIGHER, CAR WILL LOSE SPEED AND EVENTUALLY STOP. NO LIGHTS WILL COME ON AND NO WARNING. GAS PEDAL WILL HIT FLOOR BUT THERE WILL BE NO ACCELERATION. SEEMS LIKE TURNING OFF THE CAR FOR 20 MINUTES OR MORE WILL REBOOT IT, BUT ONLY FOR A SHORT TIME PERIOD. THIS HAPPENS MOSTLY ON HIGHWAYS, NOT ON SMALLER ROADS AS STATED PREVIOUSLY YOU MUST BE DRIVING FOR AT LEAST 40 MINUTES OR MORE GOING AT LEAST 60 MPH OR HIGHER. WENT TO DEALERSHIP AND SAID IT WAS A BAD DRIVE SHIFT BUT UNKNOWN REASON AS TO WHAT CAUSED IT. NEVER HAD PROBLEMS BEFORE THIS.

THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS BEEN TURNING ON WITH A STEADY YELLOW ORANGE COLOR INDICATING A MASS AIR SENSOR ISSUE EVEN AFTER THE SENSOR HAS BEEN REPLACED. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO LOCATE ISSUE, NO ONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO FIND REASON FOR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT INDICATOR TURNING ON. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE, MANY CASES HAVE COME UP WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. IT'S TIME NISSAN INVESTIGATE THIS POSSIBLE MALFUNCTION RELATED TO THIS INDICATOR LIGHT. THE LIGHT GOES ON WHEN THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TURNED ON FIRST THING IN THE MORNINGS WHILE PARKED IN MY GARAGE.
