2014 Land Rover Range Rover

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2014-2017 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles. The front suspension upper knuckle joint may crack, which can result in suspension arm detachment.

Risk. Suspension arm detachment can cause a loss of vehicle handling and control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect the front suspension knuckles and install a retaining bracket or replace the knuckle, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 11, 2026. Owners may contact Land Rover's customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's numbers for this recall are D019, N759, D041, and D027. This recall expands and replaces previous NHTSA recall number 24V840.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2014-2016 Range Rover vehicles. The front suspension upper knuckle joint may crack, which can result in suspension arm detachment.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2013-2016 Range Rover and 2014-2016 Range Rover Sport vehicles. These vehicles were previously recalled and repaired under Recall 19V-392, however the repair may not have been completed properly. Due to a problem with the Keyless Vehicle Latching System (KV Latch), the doors may appear to be closed but may be unlatched.

Risk. Unlatched doors may open while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will inspect for any issues with the KV system, disabling the KV mechanisms if necessary, and update the KV Latch software, free of charge. The recall began November 30, 2020. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Land Rover's number for this recall is N476.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2013-2016 Ranger Rover and 2014-2016 Range Rover Sport vehicles. Due to a problem with the Keyless Vehicle Latching System (KV Latch), the doors may appear to be closed but may be unlatched.

Risk. The unlatched door may open while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will inspect for any issues with the KV system, disabling the KV mechanisms if necessary, and update the KV Latch software, free of charge. The recall began July 18, 2019. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N335. Note: Vehicles in this recall were previously recalled under recall number 15V-385 and need to be remedied again.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2013-2016 Range Rover vehicles manufactured July 26, 2012, to March 9, 2015, and 2014-2016 Range Rover Sport vehicles manufactured February 18, 2013, to March 5, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the doors may unlatch unexpectedly when closed.

Risk. If a vehicle door unlatches, the distraction may increase the risk of a crash and/or a vehicle occupant may fall out of the vehicle if they are not wearing a seatbelt, increasing their risk of injury.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will update the keyless entry software, free of charge. The recall began August 6, 2015. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is P068.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles manufactured August 23, 2012, to February 5, 2015, and 2014-2015 Range Rover Sport vehicles manufactured June 16, 2013, to February 5, 2015. In the affected vehicles, a light weight adult front seat passenger may be improperly classified by the occupant classification system (OCS) and, as a result, the front seat passenger air bag may be disabled.

Risk. If the front passenger air bag is disabled during a vehicle crash, there is an increased risk of injury.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will update the OCS software, free of charge. The recall began April 9, 2015. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is P059.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles manufactured August 16, 2012, to January 8, 2014, and 2014-2015 Land Rover Range Rover Sport vehicles manufactured May 7, 2013, to February 12, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the brake vacuum hose may have been incorrectly routed allowing a hole to be worn ito it.

Risk. If a hole is worn into the brake vacuum hose, a complete loss of braking assistance could occur, lengthening the distance required to stop the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the brake vacuum hose and correctly route it, as necessary, free of charge. Any brake vacuum hose that is damaged will be replaced, free of charge. The recall began March 2, 2015. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is P052.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2014 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport and 2013-2014 LR4 vehicles manufactured September 16, 2013, to June 30, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) may fail to learn the locations of the individual sensors while the vehicle is being driven. As a result, the low tire pressure warning light will illuminate, despite the the tire pressures being within specification. Should one of the tires subsequently lose air pressure, the driver would not be notified of the change in air pressure.

Risk. If the TPMS light illuminates because the sensors cannot be located, it could mask an actual low tire pressure condition, possibly resulting in tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will update the Body Control Module (BCM) software, free of charge. The recall began on November 6, 2014. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837, Option 9. Land Rover's number for this recall is P050.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2014 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles manufactured from May 7, 2013, to October 10, 2013. In the affected vehicles, the turn signal indicator may not flash at a double rate or click at a double-rate to give a notification to the driver of a front turn signal malfunction. Thus, these vehicles fail to conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 108, "Lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment."

Risk. Without a warning that a front turn signal is malfunctioning, the driver would continue to use the vehicle, unaware that other drivers on the road are not being notified that the vehicle is turning, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will update the vehicle software, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on, or before, May 27, 2014. Land Rover's number for this recall is P042.

Defect. Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 Range Rover vehicles. In the affected vehicles, due to insufficient clearance, the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) connector located in the driver and front passenger side seat of the vehicle may become disconnected.

Risk. If the connector becomes disconnected, the driver and/or passenger seat side air bag may not function. In the event of a crash necessitating side air bag deployment, the seat occupant is at an increased risk of injury.

Remedy. Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will modify the area around the connector to prevent it from becoming disconnected, free of charge. The recall began on January 16, 2014. Customers may contact Land Rover at 1-800-637-6837, Option 9. Land Rover's number for this recall is P037.

The contact owns a 2014 Land Rover Range Rover. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and making a turn, the front driver's side door unexpectedly opened due to a latch failure. The contact stated that he drilled some holes and installed wires to keep the front driver's side door securely closed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 147,260.

The failed component is the fuel tank cover that is rusted through. This poses a risk of fuel tank puncture because of the rough terrain I travel for work. This rust has been confirmed by the servicing agent. No warning lights appeared to indicate problem.

We first received notice of the recall on December 18, 2024. The front right suspension knuckle joint was making a clicking noise for several weeks and has now cracked and detached the suspension arm on the front right wheel. Thus making my car completely unsafe to drive. The manufacturer gave me an unclear answers for an extended period of time. They have now confirmed that the part is on back order and unavailable to order and they don’t know when it will be available to order. At this point, I don’t feel safe driving my car. I need the manufacturer, Land Rover, to either buy back my vehicle or to give me a rental or loaner car for the foreseeable future, until they are able to repair my car or replace my car altogether. I live in Woodland Hills, CA and there are two dealerships in close proximity which are available to provide a solution for me. I am a mother and I have three small children. This is our family’s primary car for daily transportation for my children to and from school and all activities. It is imperative that this is addressed immediately.

The contact owns a 2014 Land Rover Range Rover. The contact stated that while the vehicle was at the dealer for inspection, the contact was informed that the front suspension knuckles were fractured. The contact was advised not to drive the vehicle because of the failure. In addition, the contact was informed that the parts were not available to repair the vehicle. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V840000 (Steering); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was 72,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

The contact owns a 2014 Land Rover Range Rover. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact stated several unknown warning lights illuminated, and the vehicle lost motive power. The contact attempted to start the vehicle; however, the vehicle failed to start. The contact stated that the failure had occurred while the contact was driving on a major highway. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with engine failure. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 165,000.

The contact owns a 2014 Land Rover Range Rover. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V840000 (Steering); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and making right turns, the vehicle shook abnormally, and the front driver's side tire rubbed against the fender. The dealer was made aware of the failure but confirmed that parts were not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Front wheel knuckle failure. I received an email last year on a recall for specific VINs for this failure and my VIN does not apply within the specific years of 2014-2016. I have a 2014 L405 Land Rover and am very concerned of this failure. I would like this complaint filed and Land Rover to replace these knuckles before someone dies or is seriously injured.

Land Rover has been made aware through several complaints that there is a widespread issue with their vehicles that requires recall. Thousands of customers have reported issues in their vehicles with cylinder 4 cracked pistons resulting in engine failure. Land Rover refuses to address the issue in their vehicles causing this malfunction and costly vehicle repair. Land Rover needs to issue a recall to address and rectify this issue in their vehicles as this issue results in the vehicle losing speed and coming to a complete halt with no warning from the vehicle. The vehicle does not display any warnings even if dangerously low on oil - no warning sign will display. This could result in death of multiple people and cause crashes. It is highly dangerous and needs to be addressed by Land Rover with urgency.

It is becoming very apparent that the front, Left and Right Steering Knuckle on these cars are failing due to cracks forming and in some instances the wheel breaking free from the car. This is a death trap for the cars affected and Range Rover needs to step up in the U.S., like they did in the UK and recall these and have them replaced. Thank you

The front suspension knuckle has developed a significant crack at the top where a ball joint attaches. This crack will result in a catastrophic failure of the knuckle as has been experienced by many owners of this type of vehicle. (see [XXX] ). This has resulted in serious accidents even at low speed. I found this issue on my vehicle during a routine check before a road trip. the crack is such that this will fail at any moment. I am entering this case BEFORE i have a serious accident, and will have to get the vehicle repaired at my cost given that the manufacturer will not recognize this issue. The side/front airbags wire harness system are in and under the driver/or passenger seat and become disconnected when you move the seats, therefore making it so the side and front airbags won’t work. This is said to be a known issue says the dealership but not covered under any circumstances even though they detailed my car after having for two months trying to fix my brakes with no airbag issues and now I have this airbag light on and issue with my airbags. But it’s also a known safety issue flaw I was told by the manager at the mission viejo ca dealership ! Unacceptable!

Malfunction light is on

The contact’s husband owned a 2014 Land Rover Range Rover. The contact stated while driving at 40 MPH in the rain, she moved into the slow lane as another vehicle was passing her vehicle, the vehicle started sliding back and forth, felt unstable, and was heading towards the median lane. The contact stated that as she extended her body and was moving her dog from the front passenger’s side seat onto the floorboard, the vehicle flipped a total of 8 times and landed upside down. The contact stated that an unknown door of the vehicle flew open in that process. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V387000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages). The air bags deployed. The contact was able to exit the vehicle. The emergency units arrived at the scene and provided first aid to the contact. The contact sought medical assistance and it was diagnosed that the contact’s gallbladder threw a stone that was blocking a bile duck. The contact underwent two emergency gallbladder surgeries. Additionally, the contact sustained neck and shoulder injuries that aggravated a preexisting condition. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot where it was totaled. A police report was filed. The contact notified the Porsche dealer where the vehicle was purchased but no assistance was provided. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was unknown.

MY CAR DID NOT TELL ME WHAT THE RECALL WAS, AND IT WAS NOT REPAIRED SUCCESSFULLY, BUT MY MAIN DRIVING DOOR COULD NOT BE UNLOCKED AND LOCKED AUTOMATICALLY; ANOTHER FAULT IS THAT THERE IS ALWAYS A LOUD FRICTION SOUND WHILE DRIVING, WHICH HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED FOR ME; THERE IS ALSO THE FEELING THAT THE LOWER HALF OF THE DOOR IS ABOUT TO FALL OFF, LIKE A BROKEN CAR; BECAUSE OF THE ABOVE FAULTS, MY CAR WAS BASICALLY PARKED AT HOME.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER. UPON TURNING OFF THE VEHICLE, THE "BATTERY LOW, START ENGINE" WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT NO FAILURE WAS FOUND. THE MECHANIC ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN NUMBER: Q343 (LOSS OF COMMUNICATION/BATTERY WARNING LIGHT). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,800.

MY DOOR LOCKS ARE FAILING AND LAND ROVER / RANGE ROVER IS TELLING ME IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR PRIOR INVESTIGATION, RECALL OR OTHER. FIRST, I COULDN'T GET MY PASSENGER DOOR TO LOCK, THEN IT SUDDENLY STARTED WORKING AGAIN. NOW, I CAN'T GET MY DRIVER SIDE TO LOCK, AND MY PASSENGER IS FINE. LAND ROVER CLAIMS THEY ALREADY UPDATED MY "SOFTWARE" BUT I THINK IT'S SOMETHING MUCH MORE DETAILED THAN THAT, AS THERE ARE LITERALLY 1000'S OF PEOPLE ASKING ON THE INTERNET ABOUT THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM. NOT SURE IF THIS WILL RESULT IN MY DOORS FLYING OPEN SUDDENLY, AS HAS BEEN DOCUMENTED IN PRIOR CASES WITH NHTSA FOR MY YEAR RANGE ROVER - BUT I TRULY FEEL AS IF THEY KNOW ABOUT A PROBLEM WITH THEIR DOOR ACTUATORS, SOFTWARE AND LOCKS BUT ARE UNWILLING TO FIX THEM IN THEIR DEALERSHIP UNDER RECALL OR WARRANTY. SEVERAL DEALERS HAVE NOTED FOR MY VIN, THEY'VE DEVELOPED NEW ACTUATORS BECAUSE OF FLAWS IN PREVIOUS VERSIONS AND WANT ME TO SPEND UPWARDS OF $2K TO HAVE REPLACEMENTS.

I HAVE THE 2014 RANGE ROVER WITH THE V6 SUPERCHARGED GAS ENGINE. DURING A ROLLING START, SUCH AS ROLLING START TO PERFORM A U-TURN OR MERGING INTO A HIGHWAY, THE ACCELERATION IS DELAYED BY AT LEAST 2 SECONDS, WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS. ESPECIALLY DURING MERGING ON TO THE FREEWAY THE 2 SECONDS ACCELERATION LAG COULD SEND FALSE INFORMATION TO THE OTHER CARS AND MADE ME ALMOST CRASH FOR A FEW TIMES. IT SHOULD BE A TRANSMISSION OR ENGINE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE UPDATE TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE.

ROOF TRIM PIECE BLEW OFF WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. HEARD A BANG NOISE ON MY ROOF AND WHEN I PULLED OVER I SAW MY PASSENGER ROOF TRIM STRIP HAD BLOWN OFF. WAS ONLY GOING 40 MPH.

WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP WHILE TURNING EITHER RIGHT OR LEFT THERE IS A SKIPPING/GRINDING NOISE COMING FROM UNDER VEHICLE AROUND THE TRANSFER CASE. I'VE HAD THE FLUIDS FLUSHED BUT NOISE STILL REMAINS. SEEMS TO BE WORSE WHEN UNDER MORE TORQUE LIKE GOING UP A HILL.

SAFETY RECALL N335, RECALL WAS DONE AND DOOR STILL DOES NOT SHUT, AT TIMES OPENS WHEN DRIVING. IT DOES NOT SHUT WHEN ONE THINKS IT IS SHUT
