1. The engine in my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is subject to manufacturer Recall 78C. According to the recall notice from Stellantis, the engine may be contaminated with sand from the casting process. This contamination can damage internal engine components and lead to catastrophic engine failure, loss of drive power, or a vehicle fire. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. 2. The recall states the engine could fail catastrophically, potentially causing a vehicle fire or sudden and unrecoverable loss of drive power. If this occurs while driving, it could lead to a crash without warning. This creates a significant safety risk to me, my passengers, other drivers, and property. I am also three months pregnant so it is also putting my unborn child at risk. 3. The safety defect has been confirmed by the manufacturer through Recall 78C. My vehicle is listed as affected by the recall, but there is currently no repair or remedy available. 4.The manufacturer has acknowledged the defect through the recall notice. I currently have an open case with Stellantis regarding this safety recall. The vehicle has not been repaired because the manufacturer states a remedy is still under development. 5. There have been a few times where my check engine light comes on, but then it turns off by the time I go to the dealer. Other than that there have been no warning lights or symptoms. However, the recall indicates that catastrophic engine failure and loss of power may occur without prior

Battery completely died, randomly. Issue was “fixed”. Now check engine light is on. Engine sounds bad.
1. COMPONENT FAILURE & TECHNICAL IMPAIRMENT: The vehicle is experiencing a total failure of its hybrid and internal combustion systems. On Jan 30, 2026, the vehicle received the "68C" battery software update. By Feb 6, the system failed, rendering Electric Mode Unavailable and triggering "Electric Mode unavailable" warnings. This is not a software glitch; it is a failure of the manufacturer's official remedy to conform the vehicle to warranty. Additionally, documented external oil pooling on the engine cover indicates internal pressure/seal failure directly related to the sand-contamination defect in Recall 78C. 2. HIGH SAFETY RISK: My safety is at extreme risk every time I operate this vehicle. • Recall 78C (Engine Fire/Failure): The manufacturer admits a 100% defect rate for my engine block (NHTSA 25V766). The defect involves abrasive sand circulating in the engine, which leads to "catastrophic engine failure" or fire. Stellantis has issued an advisory in multiple jurisdictions because this failure can happen without warning at highway speeds. • Recall 68C (Battery Fire): The high-voltage battery has an internal short-circuit risk. The fact that my EV system failed on Feb 6 proves the internal battery cells are unstable. Driving a vehicle with a known high-voltage fire risk and an unfixable engine defect creates an intolerable safety hazard for me and other motorists. 3. SUBSTANTIAL IMPAIRMENT OF VALUE AND USE: The vehicle’s value has been destroyed. I am paying for a high-
The engine failed and they lied about the reason of failure. I know this because I've changed the oil myself since 5,000 miles. Every 5k the oil and filter was changed, idled for a few minutes and shut down. Followed by a 10 minute timer and a oil level check. The Jeep was around 24900 miles when I did the oil change for that interval. One week later I took it to Jeep as it had an oil leak from one of the valve covers since around 20,000 miles. They stated that they found metal slurry in the oil and they needed to replace my engine under warranty. The said the reason of failure was oil starvation. They lied and I think it's to avoid a massive recall on the 3.6 liter that was in my Jeep.
After taking my Jeep in on January 16th for the 68 C recall I’ve had multiple issues with the jeep hybrid/engine. While driving the Jeep it suddenly becomes unresponsive even when pushing the gas pedal to the floor. After a minute the engine will start up and lurch forward. I’ve almost caused an accident multiple times. This is a huge issue and needs to be addressed. I’ve taken my Jeep back to the dealership and they don’t have any answers to why it keeps doing this. After reading multiple post on line it seems like this is a common issue following the last update.
The hybrid system in my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe repeatedly fails, causing the vehicle to lose propulsion, drop out of electric mode, hesitate, and shut off while driving. These failures have occurred in traffic and at highway speeds. The vehicle has experienced multiple safety‑related power‑loss events, including on JR Allen Parkway and I‑185, where the hybrid system failed to transition between electric and gas modes and the vehicle began losing power. Beginning in April 2025, the vehicle generated repeated Jeep Connect alerts stating “Electric charging failed for your vehicle.” These alerts occurred dozens of times over many months, indicating an early hybrid‑system malfunction. The issue is not related to home charging equipment, as the alerts come from the vehicle’s telematics system and the hybrid system later failed while driving. On February 5, 2026, the dealership’s Service Director informed us that the defect was identified, no fix exists, and the vehicle is unsafe to drive. FCA has not provided a remedy. The vehicle cannot be safely operated in electric mode due to hybrid‑system failure, and it cannot be safely operated in gas mode due to engine‑related safety concerns. The vehicle is unsafe in all modes of operation. This defect creates a serious risk of collision due to sudden loss of propulsion, inability to accelerate, and unexpected shutdowns while driving.
Vehicle and purchase details Vehicle: 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe VIN: 1C4RJXR6XRW251767 Purchase date: September 13, 2024 Selling/servicing dealer: AutoNation West Location: Golden, Colorado Key timeline 09/13/2024 – I purchased the vehicle new from AutoNation. By November 2025 – The vehicle had approximately 21,537 miles, still under 24,000 miles. October 2025 – The vehicle was serviced for recall 56C and was out of service for several days. Early November 2025 – Jeep/stellantis announced recall 76C (and also 68C) affecting my VIN, involving significant safety concerns and instructions limiting how the vehicle can be used/charged. At that time, my vehicle had roughly 21,537 miles, well below 24,000 miles. As I understand it, no actual fix was available at that time. Late 2025 into early 2026 – I continued to use the vehicle subject to Stellantis’ restrictions and with the open safety recalls still impacting my ability to use the vehicle normally and its market value. Approximately three weeks before today (around early February 2026) – AutoNation took the vehicle into its shop to perform recall 68C work. The Jeep has now been in the shop for roughly three weeks with no firm completion date. Stellantis is paying for a rental, but it is not comparable to my Jeep. Current status and problems As of February 22, 2026, the Jeep has about 27,900 miles on it. My Jeep is unavailable to me and has been at the dealer for about three weeks; I have no clear estimate for completion or for a f
Driving around a fire hazard Jeep. Jeep offer no rental even if it fails the 68c. Called Jeep dealership times and will not take in Jeep for recall. Jeep needs this recall done asap and offer a rental if need be. Rental reimbursement is a nightmare with stellantis and could be up to 2 month. If jeep wants to get a lawsuit from one day the battery catches fire then rather getting it fixed now then I know they have deep pockets
Recall issued for engine containing sand but no fix in sight. Told not to drive a car we just purchased?!?!
Ever since the 68c recall update my Jeep has been having a hard time knowing what system it should be using to drive. The electric system shuts off, but the engine doesn’t start up until I press the gas pedal to the floor. I’ve had multiple instances on the freeway where this has happened and almost caused me to wreck. I’m very concerned this is happening.
After stopping at a stop sign and proceeding through an intersection cruising over ac one way street my vehicle lost power in the middle of the intersection. Thankfully the vehicle traveling straight was far enough away and was able to Shan this brakes and stop avoiding a tbone collision. Out of no where the car stopped and started back up but not before almost causing an accident
Hi, my name is [XXX] . I own a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe. My vehicle has been at the dealership since January 19 due to a defective hybrid battery, and there is still no estimated arrival date for the replacement. It has now been over 30 days without my vehicle. I need a formal case opened INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
I took this vehicle to the dealership for two recalls, but there is no remedy available. I Keep having these issues, every time I drive my vehicle to keep cutting off sometime it wouldn’t start and the warning light for the battery pops up, I am really scared to drive this vehicle and also I’m really scared to charge this vehicle because it might catch fire .
I was driving my car when it powered down and had an unrecoverable loss of propulsion. It's a miracle I didn't crash and kill myself or anyone else on the road. This aligns with NHTSA Recall Number 25V-766. Jeep dealer identified the issue is failed transfer case assembly, then had to replace transfer case motor, then updated the software for the electric battery, but that software update is an ineffective remedy for the recall. I'm afraid to drive car because it might spontaneously catch fire or power down while driving again, which is terrifying because you lose all steering control. My car has been at the Jeep Dealer in Lynnfield, Massachusetts since January 7, 2026. The Jeep dealer said they couldn't buy my Jeep from me because they can't certify it's safety due to open recall. I can't park car in my parking garage or anywhere in Boston per recall notice. Bought Jeep Wrangler Rubicon X 4xe brand new 1/20/24 for $76,500 and have $25,000 of equity/payments in it, but it has a note of $52,500 outstanding and due to recall issues the car is only worth maybe $32,500 but should be worth at least $60,000. I want manufacturer to buy my car back from me because it's under warranty and they can't fix the battery in a way that makes it safe to drive or even park near anything.
I am the lessee of a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4-Door 4xe (Mileage: 7,168) affected by open recall 78C (NHTSA 25V-766). The recall notice states my vehicle's engine may be contaminated with sand from the casting process, which can cause catastrophic engine failure, resulting in vehicle fire or unexpected loss of propulsion without warning. The recall was issued November 6, 2025. Today is February 19, 2026—over three months later—and despite contacting FCA/Jeep and my dealer, NO REMEDY OR REPAIR PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. I have been told to wait indefinitely with no estimated fix date. I am making monthly lease payments for a vehicle the manufacturer admits is unsafe to drive. I fear for my safety and my passengers' safety every time I operate this vehicle. The risk of fire or sudden power loss on a highway could be deadly. I request that NHTSA compel FCA US LLC to provide an immediate remedy or repurchase this vehicle so I can exit my lease safely. Consumers should not be forced to pay for and drive vehicles with uncorrected, life-safety defects.
When running the vehicle in electric mode (and sometimes hybrid), there seems to be an issue with acceleration. When pressing the pedal, the vehicle begins to accelerate until it reaches around 50% power. Once that happens, it either barely accelerates or doesn't at all - even if you are pushing the gas pedal completely to the floor. After a short period of time, the engine kicks on to compensate, but there is of course a delay there and many times causes the vehicle to lurch forward. After taking my vehicle to the dealership twice for this, I was told that although Stellantis is keeping quiet about this, during the 68C recall software flash fix Stellantis installed something into the vehicles to essentially throttle the battery's power. They claim this is to avoid the battery from getting too hot. I was never notified that they would be completely altering the functionality of my vehicle and how it drives - which is inappropriate - and I believe this also poses a safety risk as the loss of propulsion/delay in acceleration and the lurching of the vehicle could cause an accident you're pulling out onto a road or are in traffic. Stellantis is claiming nothing was done to the vehicle and my dealership is now claiming it is functioning as intended, which makes sense because if they DID make this change, it is technically running how they want it to. However, I have had this vehicle for nearly 2 years and it NEVER drove like this before. I have also seen numerous posts and comment
Back on October 10th, 2025, I took the software update related to the A7C recall. On October 11th, my vehicle became totally bricked and undriveable due to this update. I had it towed to a dealership where they supposedly "fixed" it by rolling the software back. However, my recall letter stated that this was not a permanent fix and there currently is none. It has been 4 months since this began and there is STILL no remedy or any updates on when a remedy may be available. This recall poses a dangerous risk for myself, other owners of 4xe's, and other drivers on the road as sudden loss of propulsion can lead to crashes. Submitting this report because while we were notified of this recall, Stellantis has not remedied it in a timely manner.
The 78C recall associated with Jeep Wrangler 4xe's poses a great safety risk to myself, other 4xe owners, and other drivers on the road as it can lead to, "catastrophic engine failure, which can result in a vehicle fire or an unexpected and unrecoverable loss of propulsion." While Stellantis did notify us of this recall, it has already been 3 months since the recall was announced. The initial recall letter stated that the fix was estimated in Q2 of 2026, so another 2-4 months from now, which would be a total of 5-7 months from start to finish. We have not heard any updates on when this remedy may actually come. In my opinion, this is not remedying the issue in a timely manner and it is nerve wracking knowing this could happen whenever I get in my vehicle.
Engine light, engine has been rough and loud
1. Loss of motive power at freeway speeds (drops to ~40 mph) despite >40% battery charge 2. Uncommanded switching between electric and gas propulsion; driver cannot control the transition 3. Unintended acceleration in reverse / tire spin even after releasing accelerator 4. Steering wheel shaking at highway speeds → potential loss of control ***All of these items create a high risk of rear-end crash, parking-lot collision, and pedestrian/property hazard This is not “normal hybrid operation.” It is an intermittent propulsion control failure (loss of power + uncommanded acceleration behavior) that materially affects safe operation, so it should be handled as a warrantable defect and a safety defect, regardless of recall status. And because the vehicle cannot reliably maintain electric propulsion and instead experiences unpredictable loss of power and forced transitions to the gasoline engine—even with significant battery charge remaining—it is not functioning as a hybrid/electric vehicle as advertised. I paid an additional premium for hybrid/electric capability, but due to these propulsion-control failures the vehicle cannot be safely or consistently operated in electric mode and therefore is not providing the advertised hybrid/electric functionality.
I own a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe with approximately 14,000 miles. The vehicle is subject to multiple safety recalls involving fire risk and potential catastrophic failure. Recall 1 involves the high-voltage battery. The manufacturer instructed owners not to charge the vehicle and not to park near structures due to risk of fire. The recall notice states that not charging may lower the risk of fire. Recall 2 indicates that manufacturing contamination (dust/debris) may cause fire or catastrophic engine failure. No remedy is currently available and no repair timeline has been provided. To perform the battery recall, the dealership advised that the vehicle must be charged. However, the dealer indicated limited charger availability and no loaner vehicles, requiring the vehicle to be left for multiple days. Recall 1 has been repaired, but it took multiple attempts because the dealership was not properly equipped to handle it. Recall 2 remains outstanding. Due to manufacturer safety instructions and unresolved recall conditions, the vehicle cannot be safely or normally operated as intended. There is now a pattern of recalls involving acknowledged safety risks with potential fire and catastrophic failure. I sought manufacturer-sponsored arbitration regarding these safety concerns. Relief was denied on the basis that risk of catastrophic loss does not constitute a defect unless a failure event occurs... I am submitting this complaint due to concerns regarding vehicle safety, operability,
There was no specific incident with my car. This was a voluntary safety recall due to issues with the hybrid models of JEEPs. There is risk of fire. There is no remedy. This is a safety issue and I am unable to use the car with benefits of hybrid and battery technology as it was sold to me.

My vehicle has an open safety recall (Campaign 78C) related to the hybrid system. The manufacturer has confirmed that no repair remedy or parts are currently available, and no timeline has been provided. Despite the unresolved safety recall, I have been informed that I may continue operating the vehicle. I am concerned about the safety risk of operating a vehicle with an unresolved safety recall and no available fix. I contacted the manufacturer (Jeep/Stellantis) to request documentation and review. While a case was initially created, I was later informed that a proactive repurchase is not being offered and that my request for continued review would not be documented or kept open. I am submitting this complaint to document the unresolved safety recall, the lack of an available remedy, and the manufacturer’s refusal to continue internal review of the safety concern. The recall notice did not include a consumer issue date; the date provided reflects when the safety recall was officially posted and became known to me.
I have a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe that was caught on fire at 2am 2/10/26 when parked in my garage. Jeep issed 68C recall for its defective EV battery, and I had finished the recall on 1/20/26 in Fremont CDJR in CA, but it was still caught on fire. I have every thing saved, Ring footage and invoices from the dealer about recall. Just want to report that the remedy from Jeep does not help at all.
Vehicle has open Recall 25V-766 / FCA 78C (engine fire risk). No remedy available. Manufacturer directing customer to call but no resolution. Requesting manufacturer buyback due to unresolved safety defect.

Summary of Risk: 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Thermal Runaway/Fire Hazard: Per NHTSA Recalls 25V741000 and 25V766000, the high-voltage battery contains damaged separators, causing internal short circuits that lead to fires even when the vehicle is parked and turned off. Non-Stop "Turnover" Failure: The vehicle’s current state (constantly attempting to start/turn over without stopping) is a documented electrical/hybrid system malfunction. This indicates the high-voltage system is in a state of failure, significantly increasing the risk of a "thermal event" (fire). Proximity Danger: Per manufacturer guidelines, this vehicle is currently a Life-Safety Risk as it is immobilized within 50 feet of a residential structure housing a toddler and pets, violating the "Park Outside and Away from Structures" safety directive. Absence of Remedy: The dealership has admitted there is no current fix or available parts to resolve this hazard, rendering the vehicle "permanently impaired" under Maine Law. Summary of Dealership Response Failure to Secure Safety: Despite the vehicle being a non-drivable fire hazard, the dealership has not provided an emergency tow or a no-cost loaner vehicle to remove the threat from the residence. Predatory Pricing: The dealership is attempting to leverage a safety crisis to increase the lease payment by over 60% (from $500 to $800+). Misuse of Incentives: The dealership is failing to apply the $8,000 Stellantis "Recall Relief" rebate to lower the monthly payment. Inst

Fuel leak / gasoline fumes in the cabin — After repairs on Feb 4, 2026, strong fumes entered the cabin while my children were passengers. A second dealer confirmed the leak and retained the vehicle as unsafe. sensor failures — Reported since July 2024, still unresolved. Failure to document safety sensors — Repeatedly requested, ignored by dealer and Stellantis. Dealer GM and Stellantis negligence — Cases closed prematurely; repairs rushed without confirming the Jeep was safe to drive. The Jeep continues to pose serious risk to passengers, including my children, due to fuel fumes and non-functioning safety systems. I cannot trust this vehicle to transport my family safely, despite being only 12,000 miles. Documentation: Emails, texts, certified letters, and repair orders document repeated safety defects and communication with Stellantis and Lakeland Motors Jeep. Request: Immediate investigation and warranty repairs Written confirmation that the Jeep is safe before return Buyback under Florida Lemon Law due to repeated unresolved safety defects
While driving at approximately 70 miles per hour, the vehicle experienced a sudden loss of power and felt as though the engine was going to shut off. This created an immediate safety hazard and forced me to pull over to the side of the road. Despite feeling unsafe, I continued driving directly to the dealership to have the vehicle inspected due to an engine warning light related to the fuel system. The vehicle has only been serviced and inspected by the dealership. I was informed that there is currently no available remedy for Recall 78C. With the recall unresolved, the vehicle continues to pose a significant safety risk. The potential for engine failure while driving at highway speeds places me, my passengers, other motorists, and nearby property in danger. Due to these conditions, I do not feel the vehicle is safe to operate or park until the recall issue is properly resolved.

Within 40 miles of purchasing and departing the dealership, this brand-new 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4 Door Sport S experienced two severe and uncontrollable steering oscillation events (commonly known as "Death Wobble"). The first incident occurred on I-265 East (from I-65) in Indiana after going over a standard bridge expansion joint/hump at approximately 60 MPH. The steering wheel and front axle shook with such violence that vehicle control was nearly lost, necessitating emergency braking and pulling onto the shoulder. The event repeated under identical conditions within two miles. The vehicle was brought back to the dealership where tire balance, pressure, and alignment all appeared normal. Dealership took the vehicle for a test ride and was able to replicate the issue. Odometer leaving dealership: 133 miles.
Started vehicle in the morning and radio/infotainment system had a problem. The radio functions seemed to work but when I put the vehicle in reverse the backup camera screen went black. I tried putting the car back into park and then restarting the vehicle and putting it back into reverse, but it didn't work again. Drove about 25 miles to my place of work and parked in a parking spot. I then proceeded to put the vehicle in reverse again and this time noticed the camera started to work but it was working intermittently. The screen kept flashing on/off and also the image from the camera flashing in blue. During the initial startup and later when parking at no time were there any warning lights or anything to indicate a malfunction. I have had issues with the radio/infotainment system multiple times and have brought it into dealership for issues with it. They have stated that they can't replicate the issues and just check to make sure it has the most up to date software. In those instances, the software was up to date at the time of the issues.
Catastrophic Loss of Motive Power and Power Steering at Road Speed Following Recall 68C Update. Description: On February 6, 2026, my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (Mileage: 24,947) suffered a catastrophic safety failure while in motion on a public roadway. This occurred about 25 hours after the vehicle was "cleared" by a dealership for Recall 68C (NHTSA Recall 25V-741). While driving at approximately 25/30 MPH in Electric Mode, the vehicle suddenly displayed a "Service Transmission" warning and a red high-voltage "Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System" error. The vehicle immediately lost all motive power and entered a "Limp Mode" (Turtle icon) that restricted speed to under 5 MPH. Simultaneously, the vehicle lost power steering and displayed errors for "Service Shifter," "Auto Emergency Braking (AEB) Unavailable," and "Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Unavailable." I was forced to drift the unpowered vehicle across lanes of traffic into a shoulder without power steering where another vehicle almost hit me. The vehicle revved excessively but would not provide propulsion. After a hard restart, I was able to move the vehicle at 20 MPH to a safe location, where it was subsequently towed to the dealership. This failure occurred after the manufacturer assured me the vehicle was safe following the Recall 68C software update. This is a life-threatening defect that caused a total loss of control on a live roadway. I am requesting a formal investigation into the effectiveness of the 68C softwar
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? YES GAS LEAK Engine oil leaks: Timing cover gasket Valve cover gasket with spark plug tube seals Injector O-rings Upper oil pan reseal Leaking rear shocks (suspension issue affecting vehicle stability) Upper oil pan replacement seal (additional engine oil sealing issue) Collision sensor failing (forward collision warning / crash-prevention system) The vehicle is currently at a dealership and available for inspection. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The active fuel leak created immediate fire and fume inhalation hazards inside the passenger compartment, where occupants, including children, were seated. Fuel leak could have caused an engine fire. Engine leaks created risk of stalling or mechanical failure while driving. Leaking rear shocks affected vehicle stability and handling. The malfunctioning forward collision warning sensor impacted a crash-prevention safety system. These combined issues posed serious risk to vehicle occupants. Klamath Falls Dodge Dealership and Stellantis have failed to repair the defects cited in the A7C, 68C and 78C. My vehicle is subject to sudden stops and sudden fires. The vehicle has been at the dealership since 12/28/2025. I filed a claim online and with certified mail with Stellantis. No action has been taken to correct the defects and the vehicle can't be driven in a safe manner.
I am writing to report an additional safety‑related incident involving my 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe. This vehicle previously experienced propulsion issues that I reported under NHTSA Case Number 11692887. On the morning of February 4, 2026, while driving to work on a busy interstate (approximately 12 miles from home), the vehicle again began exhibiting propulsion instability. The vehicle experienced repeated surging and thrusting movements that became progressively more severe during the drive. During these events, the check‑engine light intermittently illuminated and then turned off. This incident occurred exactly seven days after my vehicle was evaluated by Sam Leman Dodge on January 27, 2026, for three open safety recalls. At that visit, I was provided paperwork indicating that the issues had been addressed. However, as of today, the official Jeep/Mopar recall website still shows multiple serious and active safety recalls for my VIN, including recalls involving fire risk and sudden loss of motive power. After the February 4 incident, I contacted the dealership, and their service department advised me not to drive the vehicle and recommended that it be towed to the dealership for evaluation. I followed this guidance due to the severity of the propulsion behavior and the safety concerns involved. Given the recurrence of propulsion instability, the worsening severity of the surging behavior, the dealer’s recommendation not to drive the vehicle, and the presence of multip
Vehicle Safety Incident & Recall Case Summary In approximately October 2025, while my son was driving the vehicle on Highway 85 at approximately 70 mph, the car suddenly shut off and lost power without warning. He was able to safely pull over to the side of the road and had to restart the vehicle in order to continue driving. At the time of this incident, the vehicle had only a few thousand miles. As a parent, I am deeply concerned about my son’s safety, particularly given that this power loss occurred at highway speeds without warning. Shortly after this incident, I personally experienced a separate failure while driving the vehicle, during which the car would not accelerate as expected. This created an additional and serious safety concern during normal driving conditions. We brought the vehicle to an authorized Jeep dealership for evaluation. The dealership informed us that this issue was associated with a known recall and advised that there was no available fix or remedy at that time. In addition to this recall, the vehicle is subject to two other active safety recalls, both of which also lack available repairs: A recall involving sand or debris in the engine, which may impact engine performance and long-term reliability. A recall involving the high-voltage battery, for which we have since received additional notices advising us not to charge the vehicle and not to park it inside or near structures due to a fire risk. There is currently no fix available for this defect. W

My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is subject to multiple active safety recalls involving fire risk, including Safety Recall 78C which currently has no remedy and is under stop-sale status. The manufacturer has issued written advisories restricting normal use and parking. I requested a manufacturer buyback due to loss of use and safety impairment. Stellantis corporate acknowledged the issue but has not provided a written determination or resolution despite multiple follow-ups and compliance escalation. The vehicle remains unsafe for normal use with no repair timeline, and the manufacturer is refusing to address loss of use.
My 2024 Jeep Wrangler experiences violent front-end oscillation at highway speeds after hitting bumps, resulting in temporary loss of steering control. The dealer suspects the steering stabilizer but refuses warranty repair due to inability to replicate. This is a safety issue that I am gravely concerned about.
Unknown exactly but started Jeep & backed out of parking spot & placed in drive and only got a few feet & vehicle slowed & stopped Placed in park & turned car off then waited a few seconds & turned back in and showed it was in run but not able to place into gear Turned off again & waited longer & was able ti get started & into gear then towed to dealership This also happened in October but I was driving on the road & lost power was able to pull to side & then return home & get to dealership a couple days later when open & was told it was power train related
Vehicle experiences sudden unintended stopping and loss of propulsion. There are known safety recalls with no available remedy. Vehicle is unsafe and inoperable. Smoke/burning odor present. Children were in the vehicle during incidents. Manufacturer has not provided a fix. I was on my way to work towards the end of September with a SEMI behind me and it stopped out of the blue while driving! Thank God I acted fast and pushed start then stop to get it to go and out of the way, I was right infront of my job. Other times I have been alone and most recently during Christmas break my brother in law was in the car with me when it happened and he screamed and said to turn around, he’s a mechanic and he wanted to see what I was talking about. We didn’t even make it but out of the apartment complex when it happened.
The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that when attempting to accelerate from being idle, or while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would suddenly jerk, accelerate at an unexpected speed, or fail to accelerate. There was a ticking noise coming from the front end of the vehicle that could be heard when standing outside the vehicle. The Check Engine light and the explanation warning light, as well as others not specified, would illuminate intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times; however, the dealer was not able to diagnose the failure. The dealer updated the vehicle's software but was unable to provide a remedy for the failures. The dealer informed the contact of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V741000 (Electrical System) and 25V766000 (Engine); however, the parts to do the recall repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. While driving approximately 25 MPH, after accelerating from being idle at a stop light, the vehicle suddenly jerked and stopped. The contact pressed the accelerator pedal, and when doing so, the vehicle accelerated at a high speed, immediately causing the contact to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle ended up crashing into a fire hydrant, causing it to stop. The air bags did not deploy. The contact received injuries to their shoulders, lower back, neck, and left knee. Medical attention was needed. A police report had been file
After having the 68C recall software update completed on my Jeep at an authorized dealership, I now experience sluggish and decreased acceleration (even deceleration) upon pressing the accelerator more than half way (approximately). This happened twice on hills in which I needed to increase power while in Electric mode. What happened was the jeep seemed to lose power and decrease in speed while trying to go up the hill. I continued pressing the accelerator farther down and the jeep seemed to be even more sluggish until all of a sudden the combustion engine kicked in at a very intense level and high RPM, lurching be forward, almost into the back of another vehicle. The sudden decrease in power to an even more sudden and drastic (sharp) increase felt dangerous.
To address what system failed: The Engine shuts off while driving at highway speeds without warning. The Electrical system suddenly and completely shutdown. Loss of Propulsion while driving. To address the safety for myself and others at risk: The Vehicles sudden loss of propulsion at highway speeds created an immediate risk of rear-end collision, loss of control of the vehicle or being stranded in active traffic lanes. Surrounding vehicles were forced to brake and maneuver unexpectedly, placing myself, passengers (children) and other motorists at risk of serious injury or death. No warning lights prior to failure and the vehicle will be inspected on February 2, 2026 at Westgate in Raleigh.
I own a 2024 Jeep 4xe in Alabama with approximately 9,000 miles. The vehicle was towed to a dealership due to safety concerns related to active recalls, including Recall 68C involving the high-voltage battery, as well as a second engine-related recall for which no remedy has been issued. The vehicle was checked in and a repair order was opened. Dealer diagnostic notes indicate trouble codes related to the high-voltage system, coolant heater, and EVAP system, and state that certain components “need to be replaced.” Despite this, I later received a text message stating the vehicle was “ready for pickup,” even though active safety recalls remain and it was not clearly communicated that the listed components were replaced. Because these recalls involve potential fire risk and high-voltage system faults, I do not feel the vehicle is safe to operate, especially with children riding in it. The vehicle has remained at the dealership for almost 2 weeks with limited communication. I am currently paying for a rental vehicle out of pocket while awaiting reimbursement from Stellantis, with no clear timeline for repayment or confirmation of continued coverage. Attempts to obtain updates from both the dealership and Stellantis case management have often gone unanswered. I am submitting this complaint due to unresolved safety concerns, extended vehicle downtime, unclear repair status, and financial impact related to rental transportation.
After 68c recall vehicle on electric mode looses complete power “maximum throttle input”uphill for roughly 5-10 seconds until gas engine kicks in to support. On 2 drives after getting the vehicle back i almost got rear ended by an 18 wheeler both times

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
