The vehicle experienced a loss of motive power while stopped at a traffic light and would not accelerate when the accelerator was pressed. The failure appears related to the powertrain/electrical system. The vehicle was unable to move and required a restart to regain propulsion. The vehicle remains available for inspection upon request. This failure placed my safety and the safety of other road users at risk due to the inability to proceed through an intersection as expected, creating a risk of collision. The problem has not been reproduced on demand, but it has occurred at least once and is consistent with an active safety recall (A7C) related to loss of motive power. The issue has been discussed with the manufacturer and a dealer, both of whom confirmed that no repair or interim remedy is currently available. The vehicle has not been physically inspected by the manufacturer due to the lack of an available repair. No warning lamps or messages were present prior to the failure, and the loss of propulsion occurred without warning.

I took my Jeep into the dealership for the 68C recall and when I got it back they stated they updated the software. I checked the history of the Jeep and did not see that the dealership charge the battery to 75% or do a test drive. My understanding is that these two things out of three were to be done for the recall to be completed. I just want to make sure it was done correctly. When I contacted the dealership they did not want to answer my questions about charging the HV battery to 75% or the test drive. Also according to the paperwork from the dealership it just shows "updates per recall."
Following a manufacturer over-the-air (OTA) software update released in Fall 2025 and subsequent completion of Safety Recall 68C, my vehicle exhibits new and dangerous driving behavior that did not exist prior to these updates. While operating in electric mode, the vehicle can unexpectedly lose power during acceleration, including at roadway speeds and while climbing hills, creating a risk of sudden deceleration in traffic. Under electric operation, the vehicle accelerates normally up to approximately 45 mph. Beyond that point, electric power output progressively decreases even as accelerator input is maintained or increased. Vehicle speed can decline while the accelerator is further depressed, and the electric power indicator visibly drops. This often results in abrupt internal combustion engine (ICE) engagement, aggressive downshifting, and sudden acceleration. This loss-and-surge behavior is unpredictable and hazardous, particularly in traffic or on inclines. Prior to the OTA update and recall action, the vehicle provided consistent electric power well beyond 45 mph, and ICE engagement was smooth and nearly imperceptible. I consistently achieved approximately 22–23 miles of electric range on the same daily route. Post-update and post-recall, usable electric range has been reduced to approximately 14–15 miles under similar conditions, regardless of weather. The issue also occurs at low speeds, including complete loss of electric momentum while climbing hills, followed by ha
Front brakes and rotors 0n 2024 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4xe had to be replaced at 16,926 miles due to disintegration, rusting, and break down of components. No prior warnings or messages. Damage to front braking system put vehicle occupants at risk due to difficulty stopping. Defect identified by dealer and components replaced at cost to consumer of $394.95.
Driving down the road with vehicles on opposite side and vehicle shut off with no warnings and had no steering. Had to turn vehicle on and off 3-4 times to get back to home. Had to get vehicle towed to dealership and now has 3 recalls on it and two have no remedy. It has been since October of 2025 since this has been going on with no fix, no solution, no reimbursement for payments still being made on a vehicle that is not drivable.
I am writing to demand the immediate buyback of my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe due to catastrophic safety defects, multiple recalls, and Stellantis's own actions that have rendered this vehicle unsafe, unmarketable, and virtually worthless. The confluence of critical safety recalls, stop-sale orders, and the announced phase-out of this model line has created an untenable situation that warrants full repurchase of this defective vehicle. CRITICAL SAFETY DEFECTS AND RECALLS My vehicle is subject to the high-voltage battery fire risk recall, which poses an imminent danger to my safety, my family's safety, and public safety. The risk of spontaneous battery fire—even when the vehicle is parked and turned off—is unconscionable and represents a fundamental failure in engineering and quality control. I purchased this vehicle with the reasonable expectation that it would not pose a fire hazard that could destroy my property or endanger lives. Additionally, this vehicle is affected by the engine casting contamination defect, which compromises the structural integrity and reliability of the engine itself. This is not a minor defect; it strikes at the core functionality of the vehicle and raises serious questions about long-term durability and safety. STOP-SALE ORDER AND PHASE-OUT ANNOUNCEMENT Stellantis has issued a stop-sale order on these vehicles, effectively acknowledging that they are unfit for sale to consumers. If this vehicle is too dangerous and defective to sell to new customers, i
I cannot park my car in my garage or in my driveway for fear of the fire. This could happen while I am driving or parked. 2nd is that my Jeep could lose power and my Jeep could stop running while I am driving. This could happen on a highway going 65 MPH causing a crash which could kill or seriously injure myself, passenger and anyone else around. I received a recalls stating these warnings and that there are no fixes for it. I live in a townhouse development. If my car catches fire in my garage of my driveway all the houses will catch fire as well. And the 2nd goes without saying...I don't want to drive anywhere but to and from work. Crazy when I am making huge payments on a vehicle I cannot drive.
Recall 78c issued with no remedy in a timely manner. Had to move from HI to CA on military orders and vehicle is stuck in Hawaii until there’s a remedy because it cannot ship with this recall. Manufactures only advice was to leave at dealership until remedy is out. Dealership would not hold our vehicle until remedy is ready.
I have two open serious recalls on my Jeep Wrangler 4xe. There is a recall for the batter/charging system so I cannot plug it in to the charger I purchased for my home. I also have a continuing issue with my gas tank - it will not fill and the nozzel clicks off even though I have next to no gas in the tank. I can't charge the car, yet can't fill it with gas. I have brought it back to the dealership 3 or 4 times in the less than two years of owning the car. There is also a recall that effects the engine so I am scared to drive it on the highway. Basically I was tricked into leasing a $60,000 piece of absolute garbage. I can't get out of the lease early without having to -pay some type of penalty or losing money, which is really unfair. The company knows about these issues and took advantage of customers.
Instrument cluster/panel went blank; unable to tell speed, temperature control, fuel, tire pressure, blinkers, lights. unable to see controls or displays. unable to see warning lights.
UNKNOWN I did not get a letter from the manufacturer alerting me to these recalls. I was told by the service center that there is currently no remedy available. I was told there was no restrictions. I then contacted the manufacturer and was told there are no remedies available and no timeline as to when they would be available. The recalls cite possible fire, and stopping while being driven. No one can guarantee my safety.
After the 68C / NHTSA 25V-741 Recall was completed, the Jeep can be difficult to drive and will dangerously lose power or accelerate unexpectedly. When driving in Electric Mode it will suddenly lose power and often start the engine abruptly. I've nearly been rear ended when it lost power, but also almost crashed into the car in front of me when the engine started abruptly and gave full power unexpectedly. This is a new characteristic since the recall was completed. I spoke with the dealer assistant service manager, and he said that unless the vehicle is displaying an error or warning, that it is operating as Stellantis has written the software for the recall. I spoke with Stellantis and told them of the severe safety issue, and that I feel unsafe driving it. Since I've been told this defect is normal, I asked for a refund/return. They said "sorry" and can't help me and referred me to arbitration. This is a defective vehicle that has been rendered even further defective. Stellantis refuses to take any responsibility.
Hybrid mode, parking vehicle 2mph stopping/breaking. Vehicle lurches forward toward trees. I continue to apply breaks place into park and pull up break, while turning wheel to left doing circles to avoid collision w anything for approximately 30 feet. The hybrid mode seemed to go from electric to gas, which may have triggered the erratic jolt forward?
I have a Jeep Wrangler 4xE and have issues with various recalls with the battery and unable to charge it. The screen constantly flickers since the update.
Loss of motor power recall has been present since October 17, 2025 - #25V710. This is an issue that started with our specific Jeep prior to this recall. It is January now and no remedy has been found. The manufacturer will not provide a loaner or rental for us even though the car has shut off on us personally on multiple occasions. They asked us to take it into the dealer to perform a diagnostic, they are unable to reproduce the shut-off issue we've experienced and have told us there is nothing they can do at this time. I looked up at your website and see there is an "interim corrective action" that has been implemented to avoid loss of motive power using an update to the backend policy while a final remedy is still under development. When I asked the dealer to either confirm if they at least performed the interim corrective action or if they can guarantee we will not experience loss of power anymore. I was told they could not answer the question and that they did not have anything they could perform on the vehicle at this time and told us we can pick it up. Again, this issue has happened to us personally on multiple occasions and have been fortunate that it's only happened on residential streets thus far. We do not feel safe to drive the car around on a daily basis and just hope the car doesn't shut off again in a more dangerous situation until a remedy is found. We originally brought this car into the dealer for a similar issue on October 14th - the dealer updated some soft
I am filing a safety complaint regarding my leased 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. The vehicle is subject to an open safety recall involving the risk of engine fire and sudden engine shutdown. At this time, there is no available remedy. I have contacted Jeep Customer Care and Stellantis Financial Services multiple times and was advised that because the vehicle is leased, the issue is "out of scope," and arbitration may be my only option. I have received no written response to my safety concerns. I am concerned about operating or storing a vehicle with a known fire risk and no repair available. I am seeking manufacturer action to address this unresolved safety defect.
Driving around town and the car just dies on me. I had my kids with me in the car this time when it happened. This is now getting scary when my car is my daily driver and I should not have to worry if I have my kids in the car when I drive it and it just dies. If my kids get hurt due to an accident from this dang recall that is taking MONTHS to get any remedy I should be able to get out of my lease with my jeep. If my kids get hurt in any way with this damn recall it my car catches fire with my kids in the back seat. I am coming full force with lawyers.. something needs to happen soon before my kids get hurt because jeep does not care about the safety of their customers. Their apology is a $100 gift card.. they need to just take them off the market and get anyone one out of their leases without any penalties.. if they do not make it right they will loose a long time customer..
Vehicle has 3 recalls, 2 which there is no available remedy. Vehicle shut off while driving.
Car check engine light went on and began shaking. Brought to service center at which point a recall was identified by the service inspector.
The vehicle experienced repeated loss-of-power and stalling events while driving, including after a software update, which required the vehicle to be towed to a dealership. Similar drivability issues occurred earlier after purchase. The vehicle currently has multiple open safety recalls. Despite repeated attempts to work with the manufacturer and assurances of follow-up by assigned specialists, no direct contact or resolution was provided. My wife will no longer drive the vehicle because it has stalled due to software loads, and we can’t park it in our garage in fear of fire and there are other recalls as well. We bought it because it was electric and Jeep advised you should not plug it in to charge the battery.
This compliant is based on the manufactures unwillingness to provide a rental car despite the fact the car is in the shop now for over a week. They have stated in writing that they will not provide a rental car or alternative transportation until the repair for NHTSA recall number 25V-766 or 78C is determined. This leads me without a usable vehicle for an unknown period of time and their refusal to provide a rental in the main time while the vehicle is under factory warranty is a dereliction of their responsibility to provide a working product to the customer. I have a call with the manufacturer FCA which is #95240670.
I am submitting this complaint regarding my leased Jeep Wrangler 4xe, which has been affected by two recalls: Recall 68C: My vehicle was not drivable for over 60 days while awaiting a repair under this recall. For 60+ days this recall was a fire risk, left me unable to charge my vehicle, and I was advised to park away from structures or other vehicles. This caused a significant and unreasonable loss of use, even though a fix is now available. Recall 78C: My vehicle is currently affected by Recall 78C, for which no remedy is available. Because of this recall, I have been instructed to limit vehicle operation due to safety concerns, including the risk of engine failure, unexpected vehicle crash, and fire. These restrictions prevent normal and safe use of the vehicle. The combination of these recalls has resulted in substantial impairment of the vehicle’s use and safety. Stellantis has had more than a reasonable opportunity to repair these defects. I am concerned that the vehicle poses an ongoing safety risk and that delays in remedy are unreasonable. I request that NHTSA document this complaint and investigate Stellantis’ handling of Recalls 68C and 78C, and I am submitting this in conjunction with a formal Ohio Lemon Law demand for lease repurchase.
Under recall 78C, Sand Contaminated Engine, I was advised by the manufacturer FCA to contact the dealership immediately if there were any unusual sounds/movements while operating the vehicle. On January 10th, 2026, the vehicle is noted to be making a new clicking/vibration sound. I contacted the dealership Milton Ruben Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Augusta GA who towed the vehicle to their location. Upon vehicle arrival, the sales manager Ben at number [XXX] called this consumer and stated he did not want the vehicle and wasn't going to service it because they catch on fire, and that he will just place it on the back lot. So now I am without a safe vehicle to drive and this is a leased vehicle that is under manufacturer warranty. The vehicle does not always turn on after coming to a stop. The auto start-stop function does not work at all times. There have been a few situations where the car will not turn back on and takes anywhere from 10-30 minutes to turn back on, and leaves us stranded at stop signs, red lights and turning lanes and we are unable to get out of the traffic which we feel is very unsafe as people have to try and go around us as we impede traffic . The vehicle displays error message stating their is a problem with the battery system, but once it turns back on (no specific time or way to get it going that we are aware of) the error light disappears. We have taken it to the dealer but they state since they cannot recreate the error , happened at ~3k miles, ~10k miles, ~16k and last time ~24k and the error turns off once the car is able to go, they will not do anything.

My vehicle is affected by a serious safety defect involving engine fire risk. FCA US LLC Stellantis has issued a safety recall 78C/NHTSA 25V-766 for this condition and has publicly stated that the remedy for this condition is not currently available. I have been instructed to park outside and limit the use of the vehicle. This defect presents an unreasonable risk of fire and is unsafe and unreliable. A loss of drive power may result in a vehicle crash without prior warning. This defect poses a substantial impairment of use, value, and safety. This defect poses a substantial danger to life, health, and property. This defect constitutes a serious safety hazard, and FCA US LLC Stellantis has failed to provide a timely or effective repair remedy. Because no repair is currently available, the vehicle is unsafe to operate. Under Texas law, a manufacturer is not permitted unlimited time to develop a repair when a vehicle presents a dangerous condition. I have sent a demand letter on January 8, 2026 to FCA US LLC Stellantis, certified mail return receipt of my demand to buyback the vehicle at the paid purchase price, including sales tax, finance charges, down payment, registration fees, etc.
My vehicle is unsafe to drive. Recall 1 The battery can go on fire/explode. Recall 2 The engine can just cut out - complete loss of power at any time resulting in a vehicle crash with no warning. Recall 3 Engine Fires I keep getting recalls and there are no estimated dates for repairs.
Open recall with no available remedy. I am leasing this vehicle and do not feel safe operating it.
THIS IS A LEASED VEHICLE THAT HAS HAD 3 RECALLS : 2 RECALLS , THAT AFTER MONTHS OF WAITING, COULD BE SCHEDULE FOR A POTENTIAL FIX (DONE ON 12/31). THERE IS 1 THAT STILL HAS NO FIX. THESE ARE HIGHLY DANGERS RISKS (FIRES, EXPLOSIONS, COMPLETE SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING, ETC) THIS IS MY FAMILY VEHICLE, CHILDREN ARE IN THIS CAR. I AM CURRENTLY PAYING WELL MORE THAN THE CAR IS VALUED AT SINCE IT DEPRICIATED DO TO RISKS OF SAFTY, AND I AM RISKING MY CHILDREN'S AND MY OWN LIFE BELIEVING THAT THERE WILL BE A FIX AND I DONT EXPLODE TAKING THEM TO SCHOOL OR MYSELF TO WORK. THIS VEHICLE HAS SHUT DOWN ON ME TWICE IN 8 WEEKS BEFORE HAVING THE RECALLS THAT COULD BE DONE SCHEDULED. IT JUST DIES NO INTERIOR LIGHTS, NO WAY TO SHIFT IT OUT OF GEAR TO GET IT TO SAFE PLACE TO BE IN A DEAD VEHICLE. SINCE HAVING THE 2 RECALLS AND THE 12V LOOKED AT IT HAS BEEN RUNNING IN FORM MODE..NOT WHY YOU PURCHASE A HYBRID. JEEP CUSTOMER CARE IS A JOKE AND STALLANTIS (ALSO MY LEASING COMPANY) WILL ONLY RETUNS MY CALLS IF I “FORGET” TO MAKE PAYMENT BY THE 10TH OF THE MONTH…FINALLY FIGURED THAT OUT. I own a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN: [XXX] ). A high-voltage battery safety recall for fire risk was issued on October 30, 2025 (NHTSA 25V-741 / Stellantis 68C). From the date of the recall, I did not use the plug-in battery function as intended because of the fire-risk recall instructions. A remedy was not available until mid-December 2025. When I brought the vehicle in for the recall remedy, the battery failed the recall procedure/diagnostic and now requires a full high-voltage battery replacement. The vehicle will be out of service for approximately two weeks. This recall has prevented normal safe use of the PHEV battery function and has resulted in extended loss of use while awaiting battery replacement. My vehicle was previously subject to the earlier HV battery fire-risk recall(s), including NHTSA 24V-720 (FCA 95B) (and earlier NHTSA 23V-787 (FCA B9A)), before the newer battery recall campaign INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
While driving, the vehicle lost all propulsion and came to a stop. Fortunately my wife was able to pull to the side of the road safely. It has not been inspected because we believe it falls within the A7C recall for which there is no current remedy.
The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start. The contact stated that after several attempts, the vehicle started, and the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the failure was not duplicated. The dealer informed the contact that an error code was reset and was a communication error. In addition, the contact was informed that the check engine warning light was off. The contact had received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (Electrical System) and 25V766000 (Engine); however, the parts for the recall repair were not yet available. The contact was informed that the recall repair for NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (Electrical System) was performed and that the battery did not need to be replaced. In addition, the contact was informed that the vehicle was safe to drive. The contact was concerned about the potential fire risk regarding the repair. The contact requested a signed document including the statement; however, the dealer declined. The contact was informed that the signed document was not part of the policy. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000. The VIN was unavailable.
After a bad OTA update in October, in November before the stop charge recall was issued I noticed on Nov 21, when in "ELECTRIC" mode, after 10 or so minutes of driving the vehicle loses the ability to accelerate past half application of the accelerator. This lack of power continues until the accelerator is FULLY pushed on the floor forcing the gas engine on and causing immediate and dangerous acceleration. After this incident on the 11/21, I didn't charge again until I had the 68C recall performed where the dealer told me they think it's fixed. On my way home from the dealer it happened again. From here I emailed the dealer over the holiday and sent them videos of the problem. I opened a case with Jeep and brought it in. I was then told they replicated my issue but that it's normal now since all the updates. They refused to go for a quick ride along and closed my Jeep case with no resolution or help. This problem that did not exist before the OTA update. I don't know if it's related to the OTA update or related to the A7C recall, wither way I don't feel safe driving this with any amount of charge in it, even though the dealer gave an OK to charge. The dealer wants nothing to do with addressing this because I think they can't fix it since there is no CEL or codes in the computer. I don't know what to do from here. You will find attached the email chain and see YouTube addresses. I can share these directly if needed or produce much better ones. This is completely repeatable and

THREE urgent fire risk/catastrophic recalls with no remedy avail. Urged not safe to drive or charge due to fire risk. Urged to park away from buildings due to fire risk. Cannot schedule an appointment for repair as no remedy is avail. Considering, vehicle is not serviceable since September 2025. Requesting a buyback as I need a reliable and safe vehicle ASAP. Currently posing a catastrophic risk to my family, neighbors and employer/co-workers as this is my only means of transportation. Unsafe and hazardous. I purchased this vehicle back in August 2024, currently only has 17,000 miles and all services are UTD minus the recalls considering no remedy avail.
When driving in the highway 101, the car lost its power, stopping abruptly in the highway lane, which almost cause a serious car crash. this happen twice in a span of 20 min. Based on the recalls that my car has, it can be caused by Manufacturer Recall Number78C (NHTSA Recall Number25V-766), or Manufacturer Recall NumberA7C (NHTSA Recall Number25V-710)
I purchased this certified preowned vehicle in the month of 10/2025 from manahwkin jeep. ii drove the vehicle aproximately 1000 mile since i purchased it. i contacted the dealership that the vehicle is hybrid battery not staying charged and that the motor is stalling and losing power when i drive it along with abnormal sounds from the engine . i had to pull over and recycle the ignition numerous times . when i checked the oil i noticed that there was a dirt /sandy substance on the dipstick, the service advisor told me this is normal and i believe is abnormal . i feel my issues that i am experiencing are consistent with the current recalls 68c and 78c . i feel that the dealership is giving me the runaround
Recall 78C on my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe poses an imminent threat. Jeep has no current fix for the issue. Jeep is providing no buyback options or trade-in assistance to get out from under the vehicle. I was told by Stellantis not to drive the vehicle and that I was to fully front the cost of a rental (and be reimbursed later) while still paying a car payment for a vehicle they said not to drive. I am now saddled with a dangerous vehicle I can not trade in and Jeep is providing no assistance or fix for the 78C recall.
I am reporting an unresolved safety recall on my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (recall 78C). This recall involves manufacturing debris left in the engine, which can cause sudden loss of power while driving and, in some cases, engine fires. There is currently no fix available for this recall. Despite the known safety risk, Stellantis is instructing owners to continue driving the vehicle. I have told the manufacturer that I do not feel safe operating a vehicle under an active safety recall with no remedy, but I was told there is nothing they can do. This vehicle is leased, and while a separate battery recall (68C) was addressed with rental reimbursement, Stellantis is refusing to provide any interim accommodation for recall 78C, even though it remains open and unresolved. Being told to continue driving a vehicle with a known risk of sudden power loss or fire, with no repair available, presents a serious safety concern for drivers and the public. I am concerned about the risk of an accident or fire occurring before a fix is available.
On Thursday, December 18, 2025, while driving approximately 70 mph on US-30 in Indiana, my vehicle suddenly displayed a warning indicating speed would be limited and that I needed to place the vehicle in Park and restart it. At the time, I was traveling in the left lane with semi-trucks beside and behind me. The abrupt loss of speed and ability to accelerate created an immediately dangerous situation. Luckily, I was able to maneuver across traffic to the right shoulder. After placing the vehicle in Park and attempting a restart, the vehicle did not recover as expected and could not be shifted out of Park. I was stranded on the shoulder of a high-speed highway with heavy truck traffic. I have an open case with Jeep Customer Care and have made numerous calls. I have been routed between Customer Care, the Recall team, and Roadside Assistance. The vehicle currently has multiple open recalls, including those for potential power loss due to software defects, engine contamination with debris that can cause failure, fire risk, or loss of drive power, and fire risks from the hybrid battery system. No representative can confirm whether these recalls are related to my failure, despite the symptoms (sudden speed limitation, failure to restart, and inability to shift out of Park) closely matching descriptions in the power loss and engine failure recalls. On December 18th I was promised a case manager callback within one business day. That did not occur. I called again 12/22 and was routed
Subject: Safety Complaint – 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN: [XXX] ) – Recall 68C High Voltage Battery Fire Risk Dear NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation, I am filing this safety complaint for my leased 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Plug-in Hybrid (VIN: [XXX] ) regarding Safety Recall 68C (NHTSA Campaign Number 25V-741) – High Voltage Battery Defect. The recall notice states that the HV battery may become damaged during normal vehicle operation, leading to internal short circuit, overheating, and potential vehicle fire – even when parked or not charging. This poses a serious life-threatening risk to occupants, family members, and bystanders. Current interim remedy is insufficient: Owners advised to refrain from recharging and park away from structures/other vehicles. Permanent remedy (battery replacement) is still under development as of December 2025. Vehicle is effectively unusable for normal family use (cannot park in garage, constant fire fear). I operate in E-Save mode only (no charging), but risk remains per manufacturer notice. Family details: Wife and two children – safety severely impacted. I request NHTSA to: Escalate investigation into this defect. Pressure Stellantis/FCA US LLC for immediate permanent remedy by way of lease termination. Consider expanding recall scope if needed. Attached letter addressed to co-signee. Thank you for your urgent attention to this life-threatening safety issue. Sincerely, [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] Lease through Chrysler Capital INFORMATION REDA
My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is affected by multiple active safety recalls, including recall 25V-741 related to a high-voltage battery fire risk, recall 25V-710 involving software issues that may cause loss of propulsion, and recall 25V-766 concerning potential engine contamination from casting sand that could result in engine failure. These defects place my safety and the safety of others at risk due to the possibility of sudden loss of power, vehicle immobilization, or fire, including while the vehicle is parked. The vehicle has not experienced a fire or complete failure to date; however, the recalls have been confirmed by the manufacturer and dealer, and I have been informed that no permanent remedy is currently available, with estimates extending into 2026. I have received recall notifications and operational guidance, including limiting battery charging and taking safety precautions, which restrict normal use of the vehicle. No warning lights or fault messages have occurred beyond standard recall notifications, and the vehicle remains available for inspection upon request.
This vehicle had multiple issues as a 1 year old vehicle. Shaking in the front end on the highway, leading to replacing front sway bar and dampeners. Now multiple fire hazard recalls for the battery and for engine while driving, charging, and just being parked. The vehicle has shut off while driving placing my life and others at risk in the road. No warning lights prior to any of these issues.
On Monday, December 15th at approximately 4:30pm, after having turned East onto highway 556, aka Roy Avenue, accelerating to the speed limit of 45 mph, I crossed over a "seam" connecting the roadway to the bridge, which immediately set off the infamous "death wobble" on my 2024 Jeep Wrangler JLU. I was unable to control the vehicle, and I had to slow down while wrestling with the steering so that I could pull off to the right hand side of the road. Had I not been able to react in such a quick manner, I could have easily collided with oncoming traffic, killed or injured others, or been killed myself. I took the vehicle to the dealer two days later, who said that the issue was a "steering stabilizer", which appears to be the default response from Stellantis as all steering stabilizers are on back-order. There were no warning lights, no indicators that this event was imminent and the dealership indicated that all other parts were in normal working order.
My vehicle is subject to two open safety recalls: 68C (PHEV High Voltage Battery) and 78C (PHEV 2.0L Engine Fire / Loss of Propulsion). Recall 78C currently has no available remedy and involves risk of engine fire and sudden loss of propulsion without warning. The manufacturer has issued guidance advising modified use and safety precautions, including parking the vehicle outside and avoiding certain operating conditions. Based on these warnings and the lack of a remedy, I do not feel safe operating or using the vehicle as intended. I contacted Jeep/Stellantis Recall Customer Care multiple times and was assigned a case number. However, no loaner vehicle or transportation assistance has been provided, my assigned case manager and supervisor did not follow up, and my local Jeep dealer has not contacted me to schedule service or provide alternatives. Due to the unresolved safety recall, lack of remedy, and lack of manufacturer follow-through, I am unable to safely use the vehicle.
1. Hybrid battery fire hazard – presents a real risk of fire while the vehicle is parked or in operation. 2.Engine debris from factory build – the engine contains debris from the manufacturing process, creating a risk of engine failure or further damage. I’ve reached out to dealership and Stellantis they offered no resolution but say they are “working on it.” No timeline given when resolution will be available while I’m still making my monthly lease payments on a defective, hazardous vehicle. Dealership said no resolution from Stellantis, Stellantis telling me to reach out to Jeep..
Jeep shakes violently when going above 50 mph
I have experienced TPSM issues that suddenly "resolve" by itself when taken to the dealership. On top of this, I also experience electrical issues from time to time such as audio from the radio not working, the screen glitching or not turning on, and other electrical issues. The worst issue is that I have a serious recall that can't be fixed due to parts not being available. I didn't purchase a brand new 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe so that I could have these issues. I should not have to worry about my jeep catching fire or parking it away from my home or other vehicles. You're welcome to inspect everything.
