This recall is potentially life threatening. It has been months & the dealer is still saying there is no fix. I believe they are not giving it the proper attention because this recall affects only Diesel engines & there were not many diesel jeep models purchased compared to traditional gas engine jeeps. I own 2. Both are affected & I feel unsafe. Please see that they remedy this problem asap before an accident occurs due to this problem. Thank you

While driving on the highway the car started to shake violently as if one of the wheels was about to fall off. Pulled over to call jeep service and they said it was most likely a faulty steering dampner and that this has been a major issue for many new wranglers. So much so that parts were on back order at most dealerships. Only way to get expediated was to call Jeep Cares and plead my case. Advice was to drive below 50MPH until they could locate a new part and replace.

My Jeep Wrangler has the famous "Death Wobble" and they cant seem to pinpoint what is causing it. Steering dampener fixed it for 3 days and it came back. It literally feels like I am about to be ejected out of my vehicle when I drive on any highway. FCA is throwing band aids at a known issue instead of bringing permanent fixed to the market.

I made appointment with Galena Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat, Fort Myers, FL for May 4, 2023 at 9 AM to repair the Frame Stud defect (28A/NHTSA 23V-191) on this vehicle. After having received no communication from this dealer after 5 days, I went to pick up the vehicle the evening of May 8, 2023 and discovered no attempt to remedy this defect had been made. My plans are to drive this vehicle from FL to WI for the summer months later this week. Besides making you aware of this situation, I want to have it on the record that I attempted to have the defect remedied in the event it is involved in a motor vehicle accident and would catch fire.

Vehicle will stop working in electrical mode...says "electrical mode unavailable" Dealership does NOTHING, vehicle performance is unpredictable. Sometimes will not start without a jump when the battery is fully charged from a 220 outlet. I've had it towed as I was stranded... dealership said "nothing wrong" ZERO diagnostic test to see if battery has a bad cell. Yet less than 24 hours from picking up at dealership, will only operate in gas mode. NOW it seems to down shift when I take my foot off gas....makes a grinding sound. Appears I purchased a lemon.

Vehicle has fluttered off and on for 2 months. Drove on the highway yesterday and the fluttering progressively got worse. It began to lose power and a Service Electronic Throttle Control light came on. I pulled off the side of the road, turned it off and back on. I went 45 mph with hazard lights to the nearest exit. It continued to flutter and the light reappeared. I’ve called many jeep dealerships before this as well as now and they all say there is nothing they can do due to no solution/remedy. I don’t feel safe driving my Jeep back home 3.5 hrs so I have to borrow a family member’s vehicle while my Jeep sits at a dealership until there is something they can do.

Vehicle sat in garage for about a month or so. Then recall. On return to dealership , it crapped out in front of dealership. They had to clear all the codes to get it in service. So now into 5th month without vehicle. Recall goofed up my vehicle. Or it was already like that waiting to happen. Reliability ? Not ready as it is. It's just continues to sit @ dealership. ?

The first time the violent shaking of the steering wheel and vehicle was at highway speed. Fortunately I was able to pull over safely. I called to make an appointment with my closest dealer immediately and was made to wait 30 days. That first time my vehicle had 34,000 miles on it, by the time of my appointment they said it was out of warranty for the steering dampener since I was then over 36,000. I paid the diagnostic fees, labor and the replacement part. It has not fixed the issue, it has happened more frequently and more violently. I’ve taken it two non-dealer specialists who have not been able to pin point any problems. Spoke with Jeep customer service and they are requiring it to be diagnosed by a dealer at my cost, again. The last time the shaking happened I had to hit my brakes in the middle of the highway winding up with a tractor trailer narrowly missing me. I’m afraid to drive my $45,000 vehicle and now I have to wait multiple weeks again since my dealer (and called three others) has no available appointments before I can get any help.

Same issue as the last time, and the time before that. Very dangerous, battery completely fails. The instrument meters are wrong and it shows that there is gas when there is really not any gas. Also more recently, we were driving on the highway in the express lane in the car just suddenly came to a stop. We could have died - luckily there was no one behind us. I managed to get the car over partially into the other lane so people could go around. The car had to be towed and I’m done paying for this.

I received a recall notice regarding my Jeep that states that it has a high pressure fuel pump ("HPFP") that could fail prematurely. This notice was sent on 10/13/2022 and my vehicle has still not been serviced. The notice states that a HPFP failure may introduce internally failed component debris into the fuel system potentially causing fuel starvation. The fuel starvation could cause loss of motive power, which can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. Also, it is possible that this issue could cause additional fuel system components to fail causing further damage to my Jeep. I drive my Jeep regularly, on a daily basis, and its my sole transportation for myself and my family. I feel unsafe driving it and would like to know what is the work around until parts are available to have this issue resolved.

My Jeep was brought to Carl Burger Jeep because the check engine light stays on all the time. The dealership performed several software updates. The Check Engine light still stays on and has been on every since. About two months now. It was discovered that there is a part required for the EV battery that is not available due to back order. The service dept. said it was safe to drive. How do they know that? There has been a case opened up and a person assigned to my case. Who knows what that means. All I know is I'm very uncomfortable driving around with the Check Engine light on 100% of the time, especially with the size of that battery sitting right in back of me. I was told by the service dept. that they do not have an ETA for the back-ordered part. Nor have I received any updates on Please give me your recommendation on what to do. When on the highway if I hit any kind of bump, especially if it is on any kind of turn it goes into what I learned it to be a "death wobble". I took it to my dealership and was told that it is the steering damper? No factory warranty on this part even though I have 100k warranty I believe. They also said no factory parts available, for several months, due to this issue, but I can upgrade to the "Fox" version for twice as much money and that the dealership just ordered 70 of these because of the problem. >

While driving on the interstate, I passed over an expansion gap doing about 65 mph. As soon as I my left tire hit the expansion gap, the front of the vehicle started shaking uncontrollably to the point that I had to quickly decelerate from the middle lane and get to the shoulder to avoid an accident. Since November of 2022 the vehicle has been violently shaking in the steering wheel that occurs at speeds ranging from 50-70+ mph. It tends to happen on pavement change see such as bridges or potholes. The wheel shakes so violently that you need to slow to under 50 to get it to stop. I have brought it to multiple dealerships. The first replaced the steering damper on 2/1/23 with the newest FCA approved Damper. Within about 2 weeks the issue returned and seemed worse. I brought it to the dealership who couldn't replicate the problem because their techs could not drive 70mph. Talked with jeep wave and opened a case with them and they advised to bring to a different dealer. Brought to new dealer who drove the vehicle and experienced the violent shaking. They removed the damper and reinstalled. A week later the issue has returned and another appointment has been made. While traveling on the interstate this happened 7 times in 1 two hour trip. I had to pull over to the shoulder in traffic that many times which puts everyone in danger. Jeep keeps claiming it's the steering damper that is the issue but even after replacing with the newest version this still happens. It is very scary to have it happen randomly and puts everyone at risk at those speeds. I was able to film it happening and have that video readily available. I keep bringing the vehicle back to the dealership but there has not been a fix as of yet. Please hold FCA accountable and help resolve this issue.

2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4xe has now lost total power twice and had extreme 'Death Wobble' issues. In 08/2021, at approx 1,400 miles, the vehicle lost all power and control on the highway while going speed limit at 70 mph. The screen reported issue with electronic stability control system. It was a dangerous situation trying to move to the side of the highway with no power nor power steering. Once on the side, multiple warning lights were on and vehicle would not start but control lights remained on. I called the dealership/service department of South Point Dodge and their recommendation was to disconnect the battery connection to reset. I was driving from Houston so I was desperate to get the car to start as my family was waiting outside of the car on the highway as well. I reconnected battery terminal and was able to restart the vehicle. At around 12k miles, I started experiencing extreme Jeep Wobble aka 'Death Wobble.' This occurred often while doing speed limit between 55-65 mph/higher on the highway and if vehicle hit a bump. The only way to stop the shaking was to slow down by braking to approximately 35-40 mph. In 02/2023, dealer changed out the 'dampners' and did update for electrical recall. On 03/14/2023, at approx 23k miles, the vehicle again lost complete power, would not restart and multiple warning lights came on. Having owned a 2012 Wrangler before and with less than 20,000 miles on this Jeep and no modifications, I was quite surprised. After slowing down the wobble stopped. It must have been significant, during the second wobble incident a nearby truck rapidly flashed his lights at me and pulled alongside me and motioned at my front tires.

When driving on the highway any bump in the road triggers the vehicle to shake uncontrollably. (front end and steering wheel) Problem does not correct itself until I have to get into the emergency lane and fully stop. I feel this is not safe nor something normal. This happens quite often. Too often. Every time I drive. Dealership states that this may be "damper shock" not covered by warranty. Any information online that I can find states that this is a common defect in Jeep Wranglers making them unsafe for highway driving if the part is defective.

I was notified of recall ZB7 affecting my 2021 JEEP Wrangler 4xE by phone on February 3, 2023. During this call I made an appointment with JEEP for the issue to be fixed on February 24, 2023. On Wednesday, February 22, 2023, two days before my scheduled appointment, the engine of my Jeep failed ~6PM while I was driving on highway 495S near Merrimac, MA (mile 114.8). I was in the far left lane traveling at about 70 mph and lost all power steering, power brakes, everything. The engine completely lost power without warning. No messages, warning lights or other signs of any issue before a total loss of power.
