I've tried 6 times in 3 years to get my recall done since I learnt of my fuel relay . Now according to my mechanic my catalytic converter is messed up due to waiting on the recall. The first 3 times was back ordered, the 4th time I went to my appointment and was told there computers were messed up just needed to see the car to still be on recall list. 5 and 6th time they never got part in. This recall is messing up my car. My check engine light will not go off due to the converter due to the fuel relay. If my check engine light is on I can't remote start it in cold weather . When will I be able to actually get my recall done before it messes up more of my car.

The contact owns a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, the vehicle was idling rough idle almost causing the vehicle to stall. The contact stated that while depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle seemed to operate and run normally. The contact stated that the check engine and the electronic throttle control warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that after shifting into drive(D) and accelerating to approximately 10 MPH, the vehicle hesitated, revved, and then lunged forward. Additionally, the contact noted that the vehicle had been consuming an unusual amount of coolant that required him to add about one gallon of coolant per month. The contact stated that there was no leaks or puddles of coolant around the vehicle when the vehicle was parked in the driveway. The contact had driven the vehicle to an independent mechanic who attempted to download data from the computer but was unable to find any failure data on the engine "DTC" data. The mechanic retrieved fault code number: P0627 (PCM Engine Control Module). The independent mechanic was unable to repair the vehicle. The contact stated that the independent mechanic researched online and related one of the failures to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V813000 (Electrical System). The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 110,800.
The contact owns a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving at an unknown speed, the blind spot indicator was not operating properly and would notify an object was ahead of the vehicle; however, there was no object in front of the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the blind spot indicator to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 136,000.
PASSENGER SIDE VANITY MIRROR CAUGHT FIRE. MY EYES STARTED BURNING AND SMOKE FILLED THE CAR SHORTLY AFTER STARTING THE CAR. I WAS SITTING IN THE CAR WAITING FOR THE RAIN TO SLOW DOWN BEFORE I STARTED DRIVING OTHER WISE I WOULD HAVE BEEN DRIVING WHEN I REALIZED WHAT WAS HAPPENING.
The brake booster of my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was supposedly inspected and or replaced as part of a recall that I had performed on the vehicle on 12/22/2017 has intermittent failure. Prior to having the recall work performed on the brake booster I had no issues with my power brake systems. However, within a year of having the recall work done I had the BRAKE warning light come on while driving and noticed that my brake pedal was extremely firm when trying to start my vehicle. I made an appointment at a Jeep dealer to have the problem diagnosed and fixed immediately but the problem went away before my scheduled appointment. The problem recurred (BRAKE warning light and extremely firm brake pedal upon starting) about 2 weeks ago. I immediately drove to the nearest dealership and asked that they scan what error code was causing my BRAKE light (suspecting that it was a faulty brake booster but wanting a definitive diagnosis prior to pursuing the matter). Thankfully even though the light had gone off by the time I got it to the dealer they said the error code was still stored and came back as "C0021-02" or "Brake Booster - General Signal Failure" that likely indicates a failing brake booster BUT the dealer also said I was out of warranty and so no work would be covered even though the brake booster recall work led to this dangerous intermittent failure. I have had multiple occasions recently where my vehicle has taken longer to stop than expected and I never know when its

The contact owns a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving approximately 30 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact had an emissions test scheduled and failed due to the check engine warning light. The contact stated that the vehicle engine was idling roughly. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed and determined that the number two cylinder had been misfiring and needed to be replaced. The independent mechanic referred the contact to a dealer where she had been advised that there had been a manufacturer recall associated with the VIN, however, the recall warranty had expired. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000. The contact stated that they were never notified of the extended warranty for the vehicle.
Airbag warning light flashes on and off at random times, whether care is moving or not. Noticeably more frequent when driving and breaks are applied.
Car stalls out while driving causing serious safety risk as it happened on the highway. Happened twice on the highway, once on a local street and another time in a tunnel
The entire leather dash has become the delaminated they had issued a recall on us for a six-month period in early 2020 they kept pushing back saying they didn’t have the parts and six months lapsed I am just worried if I were to get into an accident that the airbags on the passenger side would not operate properly due to the fact that all the leather has sagged and become unglued how can a manufacturer only make a safety recall good for six months the mechanic told me it’s because they only have a certain amount of budget on labor and parts to do safety recalls and that the shops don’t want their time taken up because it is such a time extensive process there were thousands of vehicle’s affected and a lot of them were unable to be fixed because of part shortage and the six-month timeframe they gave everyone How do I get this fixed without paying $3000
I have an outstanding recall on my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee which the dealerships in my area refuse to fix. The NHTSA Recall Number 19V-813.
There is a failure in the driver seat belt system resulting in the car not knowing if the driver is buckled. This affects the function of the airbag system in the vehicle. The sensor in the seat belt restraint buckle assembly (P/N 1GQ92DX9AC) that is responsible for reporting if the buckle is fastened has failed resulting in 2 error lights on the dashboard: seat belt and airbag. When evaluating the codes stored in the ECU, I found code B1B51, "Active 1st Row Driver Seat Belt Sensor Circuit High", was triggered. This is indicating a failure of the sensor or harness in the buckle assemble attached to the drivers seat. I am unable to source a replacement part 1GQ92DX9AC since they seem to be backordered everywhere. I've contacted several dealers and parts distributers. This means my vehicle is currently stuck in an unsafe condition. I'm unsure about the affect that this failure has on the airbag system but since the airbag error light is illuminated on the dashboard, I'm worried that the system is disabled since the vehicle doesn't know if the driver is buckled. I've researched this issue on various forums and this isn't an uncommon issue. There are many posts about people trying to diagnose and repair this. This same part number is shared between the WK2 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the corresponding Dodge Durango sharing the same model years. I have not brought the vehicle to a dealer to confirm my diagnosis. I'm a mechanical engineer and typically maintain and repair my own vehicl
This vehicle has had issues starting from the beginning. It occasionally sputters for ~10 seconds when I push start and then stalls. At other times, it starts, then immediately shuts off. It often takes several attempts when either of these things happen for the car to start and keep running. Jeep eventually came out with a recall related to the fuel system that causes starting issues. I have been on a waiting list since October 2021 for the replacement parts so I can have the recall issue fixed, and Salerno Duane Jeep in Summit NJ is still telling me they have no idea when the part will be available. I am therefore selling the car because my kids drive it and I can’t have a car that won’t start for safety reasons. How can Jeep know this issue exists, keep me waiting for nearly a year and still not be able to tell me when it can get fixed?
Vehicle stalled without warning. No power whatsoever. Illuminated battery light came on. Noticed a burning odor coming from vehicle. Checked engine bay and noticed heavy smoke coming from alternator for a good 10 minutes. Vehicle would not take a jump nor could I put into gear. Battery is completely dead. PCM also seems to be fried. Will have to be towed to Dealership. Called Jeep costumer care and referenced the t36 recall but my vin does not fall under it even though vehicle fits EXACT description of recall. Also noticed that many others are have same problem with Jeep and them not expanding the recall to their vin. How terrible!! This could have easily been a fatal situation. Jeep needs to take some responsibility and action!
I have been waiting for over 2 years for Jeep to complete the recall for V62/NHTSA 19V-813. In May of 2020, the fuel pump relay failed and my Jeep would not start. The dealer (Fort Collins Jeep in Fort Collins CO) replaced the relay with the same previous version of the relay, which fixed the problem but did not satisfy the recall. They did not have parts available to fix the recall and I was put on a wait list. In the fall of 2020 I moved from Colorado to Tucson, AZ. In June 2021, I called Larry H Miller Chrysler/Jeep dealer in Tucson and was put on a wait list for the part. It's now been almost another year since then and they are still telling me that they don't have the parts available. For what is considered a safety issue, it seems wrong to have to wait for years to have it fixed. (Note: The date I entered, 5/19/2020, is the day that the Jeep failed to start. The recall was originally issued long before this.) (RECALL RELATED INCIDENTS) TS
I began having issues with my vehicle stalling in the middle of turns and when I came to a stop at a stop light in September of 2019. I took my vehicle to Holden Doge Jeep in Dover, De. I was told it had a recall to replace the TIPM and the fuel relay switch. I was told that mine had gone bad. I was placed on a wait list. I called over 15 times checking on the status, still having issues with my vehicle stalling. Last week it stalled at a light and would not start at all. I had to have it towed to the dealership. I was told that they finally had the part in and I would be able to get a loaner until my car was finished. When my vehicle got there, the service guy told me, the part was for someone else and I would have to wait again. They refused to give me a loaner and the manufacturer called me back and said a loaner wouldn’t be covered under this recall. They told me they ordered the part and it would take 5 days to get there. Here it is a week later and I am still without a vehicle and now I am getting the run around.

The contact owns a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 mph when traffic began to back up. When the contact was attempting to get into the left lane, the vehicle's ahead suddenly stopped. The contact depressed the brake pedal, however, the vehicle suddenly accelerated forward causing them to rear-end the vehicle in front. The air bags did not deploy. There was damage to the vehicle in front where their entire rear end was crushed inward. The contact's vehicle was towed. A police report was filed. There were no injuries. There was no medical attention needed. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 131,000.
Since owning this vehicle (2013), it periodically stalls while driving. There is no warning and most times I am on a highway or getting off an exit. When this happens, I have no power steering ability. I have been lucky so far and I have not caused a serious accident when these episodes have occurred. My wife refused to ride or to drive the Jeep because of this problem. I see online that other Jeep owners have experienced the same problem. I have taken it to a Jeep dealer for service since 2013 and they are never able to diagnose the root cause of this problem. This problem seems to be happening more often - I fear for my life and those around me due to this sporadic problem. Please hold Jeep responsible for getting to the root of this issue with these vehicles.

Vehicle has inexplicably, and randomly stalled, and lost power steering and power brakes while operating. This has happened on multiple occasions, during random times of the day/season, while in movement, and while stopped at a traffic light/stop sign. There is no rhyme or reason to how or when this happens, and frustratingly cannot not be reproduced by a mechanic or dealership. When it happens, all other systems that were operating continue to operate (eg. radio stays playing, climate control (AC or heat), and the instrument panel doesn't indicate that anything is abnormal. Safety is a huge concern, as its difficult to control and/or slow the vehicle down, and we have barely avoided collisions. It has been taken to a dealer on multiple occasions, but to no avail, as the condition could not be reproduced. Other than the dealership's service department, the vehicle or component has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. There were NO warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. We took ownership from the vehicles first and only other owner (my father in law) upon his passing back in April 2018. The condition happened within months of taking ownership, and has happened at least 8-10 times since then. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. We would like to sell the vehicle (for this, AND other reasons), but do not feel comfortable selling an unsafe vehicle to anyone. We have incurred r

The contact called the local dealer and it was confirmed that parts were not yet available. The dealer stated that there was a waiting list and that they were only receiving two parts to perform the recall repair per week. There is an existing recall on my vehicle. My vehicle was (still is) randomly stalling while driving, sometimes at high speeds. I brought my vehicle in to a local dealership to get it fixed. About 2 weeks later, it vehicle completely shut down while I was driving it. I really just want to get away from this vehicle all together, as it is an obvious risk to be dirving.
I have been trying to get this vehicle recall taken care of at my local dealership since it was issued. They have never been able to complete it. I have also taken it in because of stalling when running. Luckily it only stalls occasionally, maybe once every 6 months or so. I am also lucky that it has always been in town and not on the highway. The dealer was unable to reproduce the problem. The Jeep just shuts off with the dash lights still on. Once you get to the side of the road then it will restart when you put it in park and not happen again for quite some time. The fuel level does not seem to affect this condition. It has happened probably 6 time since I purchased the vehicle in 2014.
I have an on going issue with the vehicle stalling while slowing down for intersections, roundabouts and exit ramps. This has been happening since 2018. The vehicle traveling around 35-25 decelerating, the RPMs will just drop to zero and the engine will shut off. No warning lights, codes or indication I have lost power. Latest incident was on 1/14/22 in Mukwonago, WI after have only driven the vehicle for about 10 minutes. Coming from a 55 zone donw to a stop at an intersection the vehicle stalled with no warning around 30-25 MPH. 1/16/22 I was entering a roundabout and saw the RPMs dropping below idle to zero and was able to stop the stall by shifting the transmission into neutral. RPMs immediately went back to idle.
The contact owns a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving 15 MPH, the vehicle would shake uncontrollably while driving over a bump in the roadway. There were no warning lights illuminated. The dealer was notified of the failure and an appointment was scheduled for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000. The VIN was not available.
I did the fuel pump relay recall and the problem that it was supposed to fix isn’t fixed.I’ll be driving along and the jeep will stall as I’m driving when turning off the highway and exit ,the power steering and power brakes cut out I pull over put the jeep in park and it starts right up.Then it’s ok for a couple of weeks and it happens again no engine light or close faults . Jeep needs to correct this problem as it is very dangerous
The recall is V62 but after the recall was preformed the vehicle is doing the exact same thing. While slowing down and braking the vehicle will stall without warning, with the vehicle not running the steering and braking systems are disabled which makes getting out of danger impossible. The vehicle needs to come to a complete stop, be put in park, then be restarted. This will be the third time this happened. I had the recall done then I had to pay the second time to get it fixed and now I need to bring the vehicle back to the dealership for the same issue. Chrysler will take no responsibility for the issue.
Symptoms are identical to recall W47, Where loss of engagement between transmission and the differential inside PTU (Power Transfer Unit)
My 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland with 5.7 hemi has had all recalls and the one for fuel pump relay V62/NHTSA 19V-813 completed Aug 2021. It is still shutting off while driving with no warning. This has occurred 3 times since August with the most recent being on Dec 26th 2021 in Leesburg Va. Stalls while driving causing the power steering to not function as well as the brakes. This engine power turns off randomly at around 10-15 mph (when making turns, stopping and/or decelerating) but there are no warning lights that appear on the dash. All electrical power to the car still functions and the engine stall is not noticeable until applying pressure to the brakes or trying to steer the wheels. Once i get the vehicle manually stopped and put the gear shift in Park, hit the start button, the vehicle starts up every time and will run for weeks or months before it happens again. Very dangerous. This recall needs to be reconsidered as this did not solve the issue. Matter of time before it is involved in a crash.. Taking to dealership tomorrow 27th or 28th. While driving down a main road, the power steering went out, the brakes locked up, and the accelerator locked up. I had to put the car in park and then turn it off and back on. Yes, it is available for inspection. My safety was put at risk because since my brakes were not working, it means my brake lights also were not, meaning someone would not have seen me stopping and I could have been rear-ended. Others were put at risk because my car could have hit someone else. This has happened 4 other times on different dates and a Jeep dealer has done a fuel pump relay BYPASS twice, but the fuel pump itself was never replaced. There were no warning lamps or messages to warn me about the problem before it failed. I am terrified to drive my own car. This needs to be addressed asap.
The contact owns a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the vehicle would only start after several attempts. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the fuel pump relay had failed and needed to be replaced. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle could not be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V813000 (Electrical System) because the recall repair was already performed once. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 140,742.
The contact owns a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle in 3rd gear, the speed would suddenly reduce, and the vehicle would stall. The local dealer was notified of the failure. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number 19V813000 (Electrical System) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The local dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that the part was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was unknown. Parts distribution disconnect.
I was driving home from work and entering a highway merging into traffic at about 50mph, all was operating normally the Jeep was accelerating and I was turning the steering wheel to merge into the traffic. Suddenly without warning there was a noise from under the hood that can best be described as a "pop" which was followed by a burning smell and power loss. I managed to coast out of traffic and onto the shoulder of a 12 lane highway and called my roadside assistance who when they arrived immediately said it was the alternator without even lifting the hood. The incident occurred without warning on a major highway with busy traffic which could have easily resulted in an accident for myself and others. The Jeep was taken to the dealer who diagnosed an alternator diode failure, which also damaged the battery I had recently replaced. i authorized the repair which was accomplished without any issues, I have attached the paid invoice for this repair which totaled $874.06 +/-.
I experienced a strong fuel smell on filling the tank of my Jeep. The dealer and an independent diagnosed a cracked fuel tank. The tank had 3 cracks in the top of the tank which allowed fuel fumes to enter the car. The fuel tank was replaced at my cost of $785.11, the problem was solved. This created a very hazardous situation with risk of explosion or fire at any time.

I went to the dealership and was informed the fuel pump relay recall is not available. My Jeep Has been misfiring, stalling, vibrating, and I am smelling gas fumes when I drive.
Driving and all the sudden all warning lights on and off, wipers came on slowly, radio and air shut off car completely died. Towed to a mechanic and alternator shot. Alternator and battery replaced only to immediately do it again as I barely made it home who’s is 1.1 miles from the shop that fixed it.now completely dead
Driving Service air suspension light came on then front end dropped as pulled into driveway and put in park. Turned car off then on and suspension didn’t lift towed to mechanic and air suspension was changed. Air suspension light came on not even two years later saying service suspension towed to shop and they said Transfer Case Control module was not working
When purchased vehicle was told to take it to local dealer. Vehicle was taken to local dealer on May 2021. To this day, they claim that they are still waiting for parts. I am 80 years old and disabled and stressing big time because I keep receiving information on mail stating that my vehicle is not safe. I have called your number and all I was told that they are waiting for parts. Please help. Thank you.
2012 JEEP CHEROKEE. CONGRESSMAN JODY HICE WRITES ON BEHALF ON CONSTITUENT REGARDING FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES FAILURE TO REPAIR RECALL IN ON 582, 000 VEHICLES. THE CONSUMER STATED THE MANUFACTURER HAS EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME COMPLETING THE RECALL REPAIR.
In the span of about 2 years, I have had the fuel pump TPIM safety recall performed about 3 times. I’ve had a new fuel pump, battery, new alternator, power board installed, all out of pocket and my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Hemi continues to randomly stall. The dealer always says there are no codes and basically cannot do anything for me at this point. Do I have to wait until I am in a serious accident before Chrysler does anything? Go on any jeep forum and I know I am not the only person experiencing this issue. This is a safety issue that needs to be corrected before someone is seriously injured or killed.
There is an open recall for the fuel pump relay on my Jeep Grand Cherokee, [XXX]. I've called every dealership within 50 miles of where I live and all of them tell me that Chrysler has only allowed them to order parts for 1 vehicle a week and they all over 100+ vehicles backlogged, meaning if circumstances don't change it will be 2 years plus before my vehicle is repaired. Now I'm going to have to pay for temporary repair out of pocket as my vehicle is already intermittently failing to start due to the relay failing. This is ridiculous and Jeep needs to get their act together before someone gets killed when this relay dies at the worst possible time. NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
