2021 Indian Scout

Defect. Indian Motorcycle Company (Indian) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Scout, Scout Bobber Sixty, Scout Bobber, Scout Icon, Scout Sixty, Scout Bobber Twenty, Scout Bobber Icon, 2022 Scout Rogue Sixty, Chief, Chief Bobber, Chief Bobber Dark Horse, Chief Dark Horse, Scout Rogue, Super Chief, and Super Chief Limited motorcycles. The fuel pump may fail while riding.

Risk. Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the fuel pump and the fuel pump seal, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 6, 2022. Owners may contact Indian customer service at 1-877-204-3697. Indian's number for this recall is I-22-06.

Received a recall dated 12/1/2022 for Campaign 22V837. Have been trying for 3 months to schedule an appointment with the Indian Dealership Maddie's Power Sports in Dansville NY to include using their online customer contact form and received a call 15 FEB from their Sales Agent that he would have Service Department call me. Was able to make contact with service department who stated they will put me on a list to call me around 2 MAY 2023 to hopefully schedule appointment if fuel pump comes in. Called Indian Motorcycle Owner Connections Department and was told is there another shop I can go to and NTTS is already aware of the Problem, there is nothing more they can do. This is an unreasonable time for a repair and will not afford me the option to ride again to mid to late May. I feel that I should be offered a buy back option for the cost of my loan since I am paying for motorcycle i cannot safely drive per NHTS.
