The vehicle is makeing clicking noises whenever a tight turn left or right is made from a stop. The noise is louder in cold weather and when the car is first driven.

I am writing to express my serious concern regarding an ongoing issue with my vehicle, which began pulling to the left at around 3,500 miles. I promptly brought my vehicle to Bay Ridge Honda's service department for inspection, where I was advised to return when the regional service technician was available for a more thorough diagnosis. I returned to the service department at 6,600 miles, and after lifting the vehicle and conducting an inspection, the technician performed a road test. He identified a problem with the front axle, stating that it would need to be replaced. However, the technician also indicated that replacing the axle would not resolve the issue, as the same problem would likely recur within 700 miles. He further explained that the only way to permanently address this issue would be for Honda to issue a recall for the faulty component. Given that this problem concerns a critical safety feature of the vehicle, I am extremely concerned about driving a vehicle that may be unsafe. This is particularly troubling, as I purchased the vehicle brand new and have taken no action to cause this issue. The prospect of continuing to drive a vehicle with a component integral to both the safety and daily operation of the car is unacceptable. I would greatly appreciate your urgent attention to this matter and would like to explore any potential solutions that may be available in the interim. My primary concern is ensuring the safety of both myself and others on the road.
When turning the vehicle and accelerating the axle makes a loud clicking noise. Sounds like something to do with the CV joints
Leased the 2024 Honda Prologue EX AWD on [XXX] and attempted to get the HondaLink app setup so I could see the charge level and other vehicle features. Also wanted to select my charging option and access EVGO credits. Received the text link but would not activate. I waited a week before stopping by the dealership to see if it would correct itself. Contact Honda Support and they resent the text link and told me it would take up to 24 hours to activate. I waited 48 hours and called Honda support, I proceeded to tell them that in addition to the app not working the integrated Google Maps was not functioning as it indicated the car was in Mexico, when in fact I was in Virginia. The Honda support person elevated my case to 2nd tier support and they indicated it would be 24 to 48 hours before I would get a response. I talked to tier 2 support person the next day and after some basic troubleshooting they transferred me to OnStar support as none of the OnStar buttons functioned either. After troubleshooting with OnStar they told me that 5he telematics module was probably bad and that I needed to take it to dealership, so 11 days and less 400 miles later I took my vehicle to the dealership. That was late on [XXX]. The dealership contacted me on the following Monday to tell me they need the car a little longer so their technician that was most familiar with the Prologue could look at it on Tuesday. The dealership called me back on Tuesday and said the telematics module needed to be rep
Car has 20 miles on it brand new cracking sound when turning left and right on steering wheel and front tires
Loud clicking noise when accelerating from a stop turning left.
There is a loud clicking noise that comes from the front wheels when making a normal accelerated right or left turn. It’s most noticeable when the car has been sitting the cold for a while. Honda says they are aware of the problem but it is not clear if they know how to fix it. Other Prologue owners have been having their axles replaced under warranty.
While driving on the gateway both my screens shut off. The one on my driver dash that displays my speed etc. my telematics screen also shut off. Stayed off while driving for about 5min then suddenly reset.
While driving in traffic, the car unexpectedly applied the brakes and displayed a 'Service High Voltage System' warning on the dashboard. Shortly after, another message appeared: 'Service Vehicle Soon,' followed by 'Reduced Acceleration - Drive with Care.' The car isn't charging and lacks the speed needed to drive on the highway.
High Voltage system error 2 days after it was determined that it was fixed at the dealership.
Service High Voltage System warning. Have had this come up on my car and I have seen that this is a design issue with the battery cooling system. I am glad that the car did not just shut off while I was driving. Honda/GM need to make this car right. And this issue is happening to everyone. Please help us.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The emergency break system abruptly activates. It has happened on reverse and going forward. One of the times it happened while on reverse it was raining so I thought that was the issue but it has happened on other occasions too. While going forward it happens when I am in fact getting close to a car however there is no risk of a crash and the system over reacts. Instead of allowing me to break on my own smoothly it goes to a complete stop unexpectedly. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The sudden breaking hurts my neck and back, and that of my passengers. It also puts my car at risk of getting rearended by the car behind me due to the sudden and complete stop. Ignoring the crying children that get scared by the sudden stop and think there has been an accident. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No. I emailed the sales rep this morning to complain but no response yet. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No.
Vehicle restarted while on the freeway. My Child was in the car and was extremely frightened.
Vehicle makes clicking noise went to dealer many times no answer till they decide to change front right axe noise went down 70% but the noise is coming back up 2 weeks after repair. Is a new car. My spouse bought another same brand and model is is starting to do the same. Noise is louder and louder. When turning any direction, worse when turning and applying brakes.
At 667 mi. car started making a clicking noise when turning left from a complete stop.
Back up camera is not working, dealer inspected it and can't repair it. Dealer ordered the camera but is been on back order for 6 weeks, this really sucks , because this is a safety issue.
When turning and accelerating, there are a series of loud clicking or creaking noises. Seems to happen more in cold weather, although I notice it all the time.
Clicking sound coming from be front wheels when turning
On 2/16/2025, I was slowly (maybe 5mph or slower) backing out of an Electric vehicle charging stall. Rain was falling lightly. The AEB system activated more than five times in a span of 60 seconds. The vehicle thought there was an obstruction in my path, even though there was no vehicle behind me or in front of me. There was a vehicle that was parked in the other stall charging.
A knocking or clicking sound occurs when the vehicle is changing direction; for example, when stopped at a corner and turning either left or right, oftentimes at low speed. This same clicking or knocking sound appears to come from the front (I am assuming at the axle) began appearing sometime in late December 2024. I did not know it was a problem experienced by other Honda Prolgoue owners until I watched a video on YouTube. I have made an appointment with the dealer, who said there is a charge to diagnose this problem on a car I bought in November 2024 at that dealership.
Multiple times the Prologue has been in service for high voltage system and reduced acceleration errors that have come on during charging.

CV joint needs replaced. Hearing clicking noise when making sharp left and right turns. Has been occurring for several weeks now.
All ADAS systems have to be turned off. Even if switched to alert only the vehicle will randomly break very hard while driving. Also will randomly not allow you to back out of your garage. Or when raining will not allow you back up.
Braking for no reason slam on the breaks so hard we all got so scare. Also the rear brakes engaging with no obstacles on the way.it felts like I hit something. took to the the dealer of purchase and very much make me field like I was insane. and what the technician did was turning off the automatic breaking system. that was the solution. now at when I turn right of left it makes a ticking noise on the suspension. started at 4k miles. plus a win noise is so heavy that I need to the radio volume. I got this car because of the automatic breaking technology offer, but I can't utilize it do to the failure of the system.

CV joints click loudly when turning left or right. Honda knows about the issue. No warning lights appear.
High Voltage error in car and unable to charge at 3100 miles. Now without a car and dealership/Honda will not give courtesy car. The front suspension makes clicking noise in cold weather when turning.
When making turn left or right there is a noticeable cracking, ticking, knocking noise coming from suspension, sometimes it feels that i am about to loose the control of the steering. Went to Honda Dealership where I purchased the vehicle located at 35 Magee Ave, Stamford, CT 06902 they diagnosed the vehicle and confirmed that there was a noise due to faulty CV Axle Joint, however refused to fix it, they stated there are no recalls for this models and stated that the it is the vehicle characteristics. For me it raises serious safety issue, I can lose the control of steering whenever I am turning and cause fatal results. Please take this issue in consideration and review carefully.
When I turn from stop or an uneven piece of road, I can hear a knocking noise come from my car. I know that other Honda Prologue owners have experienced the same issue.
Loud clicking when turning sharply left and right, believe it’s related to faulty axel or CV joints on vehicle. Only 1500 miles on odometer.
The contact owns a 2024 Honda Prologue. The contact stated that while making left turns, there was a knocking sound coming from the front driver’s side wheel well. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 2,401.
I bought Prologue ELITE AWD on January 31st 2025 and drove 1000 miles. The steering is very stiff and makes squeaking noise while parking and turning. This sound is audible while the car is going slow; however, when the car speed is above 20 mph we may not hear, but my guess is it still there. If this fails during sharp turns, there is chance of damaging my own car and even other cars putting others and myself into safety risk. There are no warning lamps and messages. The problem first appeared after 5-7 days after the purchase; however, I thought the car is new and being adjusted for the ride with the huge 21 inch tires it has. Additionally, the car has problem with suspension, after a ride and when placing it in park mode, the suspension of the car swings enabling the car to move forward and backward possibly hitting the car infront or back damaging the other cars too.
On [XXX], I leased a Honda Prologue from Honda Carland in Roswell, GA. Within a week, the vehicle displayed multiple braking system failure warnings, including “Braking system failure,” “Service Stabilitrak,” and “Brake assist failure.” One-pedal driving also became unavailable. Upon attempting to drive, the brakes were completely unresponsive, causing the car to roll down a ramp uncontrollably before eventually stopping. Despite multiple attempts, the brakes failed entirely, making the vehicle out of my control. I immediately called Honda’s OnSite service, and the car was towed back to the dealership. The dealership initially diagnosed the issue as a loose connector that was allegedly not properly attached during assembly. They assured me the vehicle was now functioning as designed. However, about a week later, the same critical brake failure occurred again. The car would not brake, forcing me to request another tow back to Honda Carland. This time, the dealership claimed the issue was due to a faulty brake master unit, which they replaced—a far more serious defect than initially diagnosed. Given the life-threatening nature of repeated total brake failure, I refused to drive the vehicle and attempted to return it. In researching this issue, I have found similar complaints in online searches, including the NHTSA database, suggesting that this may be a much broader issue affecting Honda Prologue vehicles manufactured in 2024. This is not a minor issue—it is a safety hazard tha
The car has a very loud knocking noise when you turn left or right drop it off at the dealer today they didn’t want to look at it they said it was normal that there was nothing we can do freeway honda of Santa Ana Ca. They were seems careless about the situation they keep trying to blame GM Multiple times I felt something was gonna snap when turning according to the Maintenance manager multiple cars have came in with that issue pretty much they try to send me home I told them I still want to car to be check out
I've had to turn off all the safety features in my car on multiple occasions. I nearly got hit by several cars turning into driveways because the car's sensors detected a vehicle on the driveway. Additionally, the sensors mistakenly detected another car pulling out of a shopping center, which caused heavy brake locking. This has even happened to me twice on the freeway. When I mentioned this to the service manager, he laughed and said, "I know what you're talking about. I have one too, and it happens to me as well. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do about it except turn off the sensors." And be careful with your neck the ways brakes lock in
Very frequent and sudden breaking when no objects or any moving vehicles in the line of sight. This keeps happening and I am not able to use the safe system as is without turning it off
Returning home from a 75 mile trip. No warning vehicle displayed "service high voltage system. Lost all heat from HVAC system. No defrost, blew cold air. Display of power usage used was not accurate. Car manual mentioned the vehicle could be disabled if the warning was not seen by a Honda dealer service center.
When making a sharp turn out of a parking lot I noticed a ticking or popping sound coming from the wheels. This was replicated a couple of times but not consistently. If the part is defective it could cause loss of control of the vehicle while turning. This issues has not been reproduced by the dealer nor has it been inspected. No warning lamps or messages appeared prior to or after the incident occurred.
When I turn left or right from a complete stop it makes a clicking noise. I believe it is the CV joints. I brought it into Honda for them to look at. They know about the issue but don't have a fix for it.
When making a hard turn from a complete stop most of the time there is a clicking or knocking noise through the tightest part of the turn. The noise is louder the colder it is outside.
While driving during a rain & snowstorm, the front windshield wiper stopped working completely all of a sudden. Adjusting the dials on the left stalk did nothing. The rear wiper worked perfectly throughout this incident. It is available for inspection. After the car was turned off and back on (of course during a stop), finally the front wiper started working again. Without the front wiper, any precipitation or dust makes safe driving impossible, greatly increasing the risk to myself, other drivers, pedestrians, and property. I have not taken it in for service as I do not know how to trigger / reproduce it again. There were zero messages / lamps / other symptoms. The screens did not give any alerts nor messages regarding any malfunction: the front wiper dial simply did nothing. For reference, this is the Elite trim with ~1000+ miles. Automatic wipers were off (and have been for many days now—they were too unreliable & confusing).
Car braked extremely hard causing whiplash twice even though there was ample room. This has happened multiple times. Reported that it is normal by dealership
Drove off the dealer lot with a brand new prologue with 31 miles on the odometer. Taking a left hand turn out of the dealer lot, I immediately hear a clicking/clunking noise coming from the front end. It’s my understanding that this is due to a CV joint in the drivetrain. Honda does not have a solution available.
When accelerating from a stop, knocking clicking noises can be heard. At first, it was only while making a left turn, but now it can be heard when turning in either direction or going straight. It only happens at low speeds. This puts my safety and the safety of others at risk because a failure could result in loss of power to the wheel and/or control of the vehicle. The problem has been confirmed by the dealer and at first, I was told it here was no fix. I was also told it was normal for this vehicle. I completed a survey about my experience with the service department, and received a message that Honda identified a fix and that axles are on back order. No warning messages have appeared.
When accelerating into a turn from a complete stop, left turn or right turn, there is a knocking sound coming from the cv joint. Vehicle made this sound when driving off the lot brand new. Vehicle also experienced a battery fault error/reduced propulsion warning at 700 miles and is currently at the dealer to investigate. The error alternates with the battery fault light indicating a fault with the high voltage battery and the propulsion power is limited light. This error occurred after preconditioning at 30% battery charge in 32 degree weather. The vehicle warmed up the interior but displayed the message as soon as I put the car into reverse gear. Both of these issues are safety issues in potential loss of steering and loss of propulsion power on the road.
There is a problem with all Prologues with the CV axels. Mine has had an issue for awhile and I brought it too a Honda dealership and they said no fix for it. Anyone that has had it replaced is still having the same issue.
Front differential is making loud clicking noises when turning right and is failing according to service center but Honda has no remedy for this and they can't assure me that it is safe to drive in this condition.
CV joint pops extremely loud when turning left or right! Louder in cold. Loud rattling in interior of vehicle when going higher speeds

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
