When I turn left or right from a complete stop it makes a clicking noise. I believe it is the CV joints. I brought it into Honda for them to look at. They know about the issue but don't have a fix for it and will not do anything for it. When backing you the car randomly puts on the break with nothing around the rear of the vehicle.

“While driving with my family, my car’s displays suddenly went black, which was a serious safety concern. I had to pull over for about an hour until they came back on, as I couldn’t see anything.”
"high voltage system failure" and inability to charge - co cooling and limited acceleration - took 7 1/2 weeks to repair - Tech found p1c0100 ac compressor motor underspend, recharged ac system nd found excessive freon
Start vehicle and warning lights flash. "service high voltage system" Drove to service center. Heat did not work on the cold morning. Defrost would not work. Service center informed me the main 440 volt battery needs replacing. wait times, one to two months for new battery.
I noticed a clicking sound whenever I made a turn, whether it was left or right. I reported the issue to Honda’s service department, and they were able to reproduce the problem. Initially, I was informed that the required parts were on back order. However, I recently received a call informing me that the parts were now available. I brought the vehicle in for the replacement, but when I picked it up, I was told that the problem had not been resolved.
Charging Port. car will not charge no more under 6000 miles under 10 months of ownership. I have a 3 year at least. I haven't even had it a year yet. No vehicle now waiting to hear back from Honda. They gave me a loner the dealership. Did I think this is an unsafe feature of this vehicle? And I think I should receive. A new vehicle. This vehicle needs a recall, so no one gets hurt. Or stranded on the side of the road. Because the car won't charge no more. Please help me with this matter sincerely. [XXX] of Portland Maine. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
After updating my Prologue and driving it for a few miles, I'm now seeing a message that says: "Service High Voltage System / Service vehicle soon." The car will not accept a charge at all and the heat/defroster will not work. It will only blow cold air (which may just be outside air circulating meaning full hvac isn’t working).
When driving slow and on turning radius, suspension clicking noise
My 2024 Honda Prologue that has only 2486 miles. I took it into the dealership only to be told that they are making new parts for the known problem! It is a safety issues that the CV joints could fail completely while driving, that could cause a fatal accident. I can't believe I was reassured by the dealership it is safe to drive. I do NOT want to be a statistic from a lethal car accident. Not to mention what other problems will it have if I continue to drive the vehicle. It may not show up today but it could cause problems long after the warranty is up.
After having my car plugged in over night, I unplugged my vehicle and put the cap on the charger. Since I was going to be gone for 4 days, I decided to unplug my charger from the wall. Since I had turned my back to the charging port, I didn’t notice the charge door was still open. I got in the car and I proceeded to back out of the garage with the door ajar. There is a warning light on the dash but while in reverse in a garage, a number of parking sensors are always beeping so I was desensitized to beeps. The charge door caught the side of the garage door and bent too far backwards and broke. I really wish the vehicle either made you acknowledge the warning before it would move or the warning showed up on the camera screen as well, where your eyes are drawn while reversing versus the screen in front of you.
Multiple problems. Suspension/axles grinding and popping when go around corners, multiple messages to service high voltage system, complete loss of power while driving, loss of awd system, extremely loud thunking under hard acceleration (merging onto freeway etc), that shakes the whole car and can cause it to go off track a bit. deathtrap on wheels, dealer's no help, corporate is no help.
Where to begin? not even 2 weeks after having this vehicle it nearly caused a major accident and gave me whiplash & neck problems (have doctors documentation as proof) when the automatic breaking system hard breaked my vehicle twice in the same trip (20 minutes from work to home) with the second time resulting in my car skidding quite a few feet on a highway in the middle of rush hour traffic (want to note the distance in front of the car was quite significant both times) also both CV joint axles need replacing on top of rear passenger door is not the right size & often pops open. Honda dealership has my vehicle for 31 days back in December January stating parts for door would be in within the month and the cv axle would be beginning of march. here it is March 26th and I've heard nothing from the dealership after multiple attempts of trying to get a hold of them. also worked with Honda and opened a claim who also is ignoring my calls. I hardly want to touch the vehicle as I'm afraid of it causing a major accident or the door popping open as I'm driving with my children in the car.
High voltage system errors. Won’t charge. Car is 2 weeks old!
After updating my Prologue and driving it for a few miles, I'm now seeing a message that says: "Service High Voltage System / Service vehicle soon." My Prologue only has 1,096 miles on it.
Break failure on highway causing MVA- multiple attempts were made to slow down and break vehicle to no response what so ever. Pressed breaks all the way down, nothing, no air, no resistance, no sounds, vehicle kept on going. In an attempt to save myself from an accident that could have been much worse, I jumped out of the moving vehicle, landing the back of my head on the cement highway floor toward left end of bumper. This vehicle is not safe and should be taken off the roads. I have 2 toddlers and am traumatized. The vehicle stopped after some impact in the middle of the highway. From the moment of receiving this car there has been some sort of issue with it's breaks. Initially short stopping on it's own when gas peddle not pressed- had the setting fixed for that to then experience multiple whiplashes for no reason while driving. Attempted to connect the starlink on multiple occasions as well to no success and just a bunch of wasted time trying. In addition to all the alarming safety concerns, this car would not heat up well- 40 minutes into my ride I'd start to feel some warmth. I would love to have this case investigated further and sue honda for allowing such a dangerous vehicle on the roads. My accident was bad but the honest truth is that it could have been worse and no one should have be subject to this danger.
Broken axle I was driving and kept hearing a tidying click sound when making turns
Every time this car comes to a stop, it rocks back and forth significantly on its suspension. Even at low speeds, it is noticeable when breaking, with about a second and a half of five to six rebounds back and forth. It is highly prominent with stronger braking or stop-and-go traffic, resulting in about two seconds of hard rocking back and forth. This problem happens more when the car is being driven in normal mode, meaning using both the acceleration and brake pedals; it’s less pronounced when driving in “one-pedal” mode. I took the car to the dealer service department, and they tested my car and other Prologues. The service department manager said this seems to be a problem in all the Prologues, even a 2025 model they tested. This problem is causing motion sickness for me and my wife, which can lead to distractions and potentially unsafe behaviors as explained below: * Distraction: Passengers experiencing motion sickness may be too focused on their discomfort to pay attention to the road or the driver, which can be dangerous. * Nausea and Vomiting: Nausea and vomiting can cause a passenger to become ill, which can be a distraction and potentially lead to unsafe behaviors like reaching for a trash bag or losing control of their body. * Safety of the Driver: If a passenger struggles with motion sickness, the driver may be distracted by the passenger's discomfort, which can lead to unsafe driving behaviors. * Increased Risk of Accidents:If a passenger becomes ill and the drive
I have two problems: 1. When I steer full left or right and move forward, I have clicking noise coming from the front. 2. Usually when I push break, my car gets into emergency brake .I guess the sensors are too sensitive and it gets into emergency break and stop the car without no reason.
As I was coming to a stop light, the radio stopped working. A message came up..."Tuner unavailable. This may fix itself. If not, restart your vehicle. Vechicle may need service." Soon after this, my blinker stopped working. I was able to proceed with the left hand turn but then dashboards (left and radio one) all went blank. I was able to drive to get to a safe spot. In doing so, the dashboard did come back on and I was able to drive onward. THIS WAS A VERY NERVE WRACKING EXPERIENCE NOT HAVING SIGNALS!
CV joint clicking on turns. Both left and righy
I’ve started to hear a clicking sound when taking left turns on my Honda prologue after about 600 miles. When researching online I found that the prologues ship with a bad cv axles and the sound won’t go away unless the axle is replaced. Reporting here so that I can get feedback on the severity of the issue and bring awareness.
I have had this car since December 7th and I leased it brand new. It has been in service multiple times for multiple issues. Only one of the issues has been fixed while the rest they have not been able to diagnose. The cv axles have an issue and when I took the car back to Honda they said corporate Honda has not come out with a solution yet but the car is safe to drive??? The car makes a noise anytime I do a right turn and it has progressively gotten worse.
When turning from a stop there is a loud clicking noise that occurs. This consistently happens with either right or left turns from a stop.
DRIVETRAIN cv axel yes available for inspection could fracture causing instant accident No, but very commonly reported to Honda No No lights clicking noise when turning wheel
When starting vehicle, lights for Propulsion Power is Limited lights and service vehicle soon lights came on. I tried to shift into reverse, but got a warning message that the conditions for shifting error, I also could not shift to drive. I only have had the car for 2 weeks. I called the honda warranty, they arranged to have it towed to dealership. 2 different service people tried troubleshooting the problem on site with no success. It was towed and dropped off after hours at a Honda service center. The tech called the next day stating that the problem could not be recreated and all diagnostic tests came out good. Waiting and wondering when this car is going to leave me stranded again.
When using the Honda link app, sometimes the app experiences issues and the signal is never sent to the vehicle. If the keys are lost, this would create a safety issue in case of an emergency when access to the vehicle is needed. This issue has not been confirmed by the dealership and I have not contacted the manufacturer. The app in general does not update and or fails to display the vehicle information at times.
Started hearing clicking coming from the front when we turn. I was told this is a common problem from the CV joint.
Immediately after taking ownership of my 2024 Honda Prologue, I noticed the vehicle makes a knocking sound when accelerating through sharp turns. I notice it everyday when leaving my driveway. I've done research on this issue and found that many Prologue owners in private forums have experienced similar issues and it was diagnosed as faulty axles.
My vehicle makes a loud clicking noise as I accelerate while turning left or right. Sounds like worn cv joints. It started making the noise a month after I purchased the vehicle brand new. Honda does not have replacement axles and told me to keep driving it.
High voltage system errors. Won’t charge. Car is 2 weeks old!
I’ve had a couple of issues with this vehicle along with others I know with the same car. 1. When charging it has said a couple of times “not sending power” when public charger seems to be in good condition & there being funds on the card. 2. When closing the panoramic sunroof right when it’s about to close it opens back up. It takes me multiple tries pressing and holding down the button to get it to close. 3. Both screen displays have gone completely black out of nowhere and will not turn back on until a couple of hours later. 4. Sometimes in perfect Sunny condition with nothing blocking the windshield the Forward collision Safety feature will appear on the dashboard saying “forward collision system unavailable.” 5. The battery seems to not last long and even going at speed limit or slower the battery will still drain fast.
Vehicle Drive Shaft makes clicking noise at the CV Joint and motion irregularities/bumps on turns over flat surfaces, much worse over wider turns at any speed. Vehicle part is backordered due to nationwide shortage caused by vehicle defect on numerous 2024 Honda Prologues. There are no codes on dashboards to otherwise diagnose or indicate problems. Honda service has looked at vehicle and stated noise is caused by the CV joint for the drive shaft, although vehicle also demonstrates sharp bumps/jumps briefly when issue arises even on flat paved surfaces. Still says to drive due to backordered parts with no resolution. Vehicle had less than 1200 miles on it when problem arose, and clicking/booming, whiplash on turns, and rough+noticeable bumps have only increased since during drives.
My 2024 Prologue with approximately 3,000 miles has a clunking sound in front of car and noticeable jerk on acceleration. It developed with 1300 miles and was "repaired" by dealer, who claimed it was a loose battery mount. Problem returned within 1000 miles and is getting worse. Dealer now says it is right front axle and part is on backorder. Fundamental safety part crucial to control for car. If the axle is a problem it is a fundamental and incredibly important part that has been in development since approximately 100,000 BC. There should not be an axle problem with a brand new car.
Clicking from CVT joint when making sharp turns.
Both front CV axels clicking, causing hard turning and need replacement. Dealer does not have part to replace (on critical back order). Honda Motors stating car is safe to drive.
Component/System Failure: The high-voltage battery system in my 2024 Honda Prologue failed. According to the Honda service center, the battery needs to be replaced. The vehicle is currently at the dealership, not ETA when the part will arrive or when will I get my car back. Safety Risks: The failure prevented the vehicle from charging, which could have left me stranded. Additionally, the system displayed multiple warnings, and since this is an EV, a malfunctioning high-voltage battery poses a potential fire or electrical hazard. The car was not drivable due to the severity of the issue. Problem Confirmation: The issue has been confirmed by the Honda dealership, which diagnosed the high-voltage battery as the cause of failure. They recommended a full battery replacement. Inspection by Others: The vehicle has only been inspected by Honda service technicians at my local dealership. It has not been reviewed by the manufacturer directly, law enforcement, or an insurance representative. Warnings and Symptoms: The failure first occurred two days ago when I attempted to charge the vehicle at home, but it would not charge. Multiple warning messages appeared on the dashboard, including: "Service High Voltage System" "Service Engine Soon" A red car icon with an exclamation mark I attempted multiple times to charge, but the vehicle continued displaying the same warnings. The next day, I brought it to the Honda dealership, where they confirmed the high-voltage battery issue.
Visibility when backing up during low light conditions is dangerous. Back up camera is very dim and can result in accidents.
Service High Voltage System warning. Have had this come up on my car and I have seen that this issue has happened to many Prologue owners. The issue is with the battery cooling system. I am glad that the car did not just shut off while I was driving. Honda/GM need to make this right.
The Honda link app is unusable. It constantly says unavailable when trying to remotely start or lock the vehicle.
Excessive wind noise and I can feel a breeze coming from the driver side door. Has been like that since new. Not at all what I expected from a supposed $60k car.
Brake system failure message and car was exremely hard to stop. I had to stand on the brake pedal to get the car to stop
CV joints click when turning. Both right and left. Happens from a standing start.
When turning there is a loud clacking noise coming from front suspension or steering. Seems to be worse when temperature is cold.
“Charge Door Open” warning appears on dashboard when the charge door is completely closed. This warning appears incessantly while driving. Additionally, “Service High Voltage Charging System” appears along with the “Charge Door Open” warning. The problem is documented on video at 780 miles on the odometer. These warnings occurred at low speed driving between 30 and 35 mph.
Rear back up camera
Mild weather, 48 degrees. driving home at night. Lights on dash start to go off: "Service vehicle soon" "Reduced Acceleration Drive with Care" "Service High voltage" "Unable to charge" Heat stopped working and vehicle unable to charge. Brought into service the morning after and waiting for service department to get in touch.
All lights related to brakes lighted up on a dashboard ( and message to take it to Dealer). Took it to Dealer. Car is in the shop for over 5 weeks and they can't figure it out what's wrong. They've replaced brake booster (twice!!!!!) and that didn't fix it... Now replacing front calipers. On top of that cv axle is clicking terrible and they can't replace it because it's on long Backorder ( I'm waiting over 2 months for it already.
On February 25, 2025 my car decided to throw the code that said service high voltage system. I was on my way to drive my son to school. I have been driving for about two minutes and then the code showed up I called my dealership at 10 AM that morning and told them what was going on. They told me to come down there and they will take a look at the car. I bought this car on February 14, 2025. It has 370 miles on it at the time when I got to the dealership the first person turned me back and said that they couldn’t do anything because on the way to the dealership, the code went away. I left the dealership went to charge my car. It charged for 3% at the public charger and then it shut off. I went back to the dealership and this time they kept my car because the code was on when I arrived and the other guy apparently made a mistake and sent me home when he wasn’t supposed to. I got a loaner. I finally got my car back on March 8, 2025. I drove it a little bit yesterday and then I drove it a little bit more today which is march 9, 2025 my day was winding down so I figured I would go to target and get what I needed and charge my car while I was there. I went to the public charger. The car charge for about three or 4% and then it shut off I got the alert on my phone so now I must go back to the dealership when they open because today is Sunday and take my car back there. The code is now back on the car. apparently, while at the dealership, they couldn’t see anything while they had the
The battery failed at 2k miles and needed to be replaced. Both axles need to be replaced due to failed CV joint. There is clicking with turns. When backing up, emergency braking engages and leads us to stop in the middle of busy roads. This is a safety issue.
The buttons for changing songs have not worked at random times after turning on the vehicle. Also the car has had some problems when it comes to detecting a vehicle in front causing the car to slow down when in adaptive cruise control

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
