Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2026 CR-V Hybrid, Accord Hybrid, and 2025 CR-V Fuel Cell EV vehicles that were previously remedied under NHTSA recall number 26V366. When using the tire repair kit, pressure may build within the sealant bottle, causing the bottle cap to detach.

Risk. A detached bottle cap can become a projectile and strike the user or others nearby, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and replace the tire repair kit nozzle, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 16, 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is PPW. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 17, 2026. Vehicles previously repaired under recall 26V366 will need to have the new remedy completed.

Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Honda Accord, Accord Hybrid, 2023-2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid, and 2025 Honda Civic and Civic Hybrid vehicles. The high-pressure fuel pump may crack and leak fuel.

Risk. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and replace the high-pressure fuel pump as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed February 20, 2025. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is PJW.

Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Acura Integra, Civic Type R, CR-V Hybrid, CR-V, HR-V, 2022-2025 Civic, Civic Hatchback, 2024-2025 Acura Integra Type S, 2025 CR-V Fuel Cell EV, Civic Hybrid, and Civic Hatchback Hybrid vehicles. The steering gearbox assembly may have been manufactured incorrectly, which can cause excessive internal friction and lead to difficulty steering the vehicle.

Risk. Difficulty steering can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the worm gear spring and redistribute or add grease as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 18, 2024. Owners may contact Honda Customer Service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are SJS, MJU, QJT and VJV.

2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid with approximately 91,000 miles. Vehicle is less than two years old, has received all required maintenance and mileage is predominantly highway driving. I experienced intermittent chugging/rough engine operation, particularly when the gasoline engine engaged at light throttle. There was no check-engine light. The vehicle subsequently displayed: “POWER REDUCED - Shutter grille system problem. Power may be reduced. See your dealer.” I brought the vehicle to an authorized Honda dealer. According to the technician's written diagnostic notes, no diagnostic trouble codes were present. During inspection, however, the technician found the engine coolant level low. The spark plugs were removed and the cylinders inspected. The technician found coolant leaking into cylinder #4, which was documented by borescope photograph. Honda authorized replacement of the cylinder-head gasket. My safety concern is that an internal coolant leak/head-gasket failure was present without a check-engine light or stored diagnostic trouble code, and the vehicle ultimately displayed a warning that power could be reduced. I am concerned that this condition could potentially result in unexpected reduced propulsion or overheating while driving. American Honda has also issued Service Bulletin 26-088, Product Update: 2023-26 CR-V Hybrid PGM-FI Software Update, dated August 7, 2026. Honda states that the update was developed “to better manage engine temperatures” by optimizing electric water

My 2024 Honda CRV Sport Touring Hybrid AWD has the very same engine and parts as the Canadian model. So far the Canadian version with the exact same equipment as well as the U.S. version has a poorly designed HEAD GASKET that have resulted in NUMEROUS engine failures with no warning. In CANADA the engines have been recalled for this safety concern and resulting catastrophic engine failure. My complaint is that since there are many drivers in the U.S. that have the EXACT same engine with the EXACT same problem deserve the SAME recall to correct this manufacturing defect that will result in an UNSAFE condition without repair.

The propane tank hit the ground, bounced and hit the contact's chin. The contact sustained temporary pain. Incident 1 — April 23, 2026 | ~71,289 miles While merging onto the freeway, multiple warning lights illuminated simultaneously on the dashboard. Vehicle exhibited uncontrolled acceleration and became unsafe to operate. Incident was captured on video. Vehicle was driven to Salinas Honda [XXX] ). Dealer performed two open safety recalls: Campaign 24-049:6YP00 (Fuel Pump Safety Recall, 2023–25 Multi Model Hybrids) and Campaign 24-117:6JP00 (EPS Gearbox Greasing Safety Recall, 2023–25 CR-V). Work Order #XXX. Incident 2 — April 24, 2026 | 71,302 miles Warning lights returned the same day the vehicle was retrieved from the dealer — within hours of release. Vehicle was returned immediately to Salinas Honda. Dealer found misfire codes (P0300, P0302, P0303), performed a hard battery reset and steering angle relearn, and conducted a 30-mile test drive. Vehicle was released as repaired. Invoice #XXX. Incident 3 — April 24, 2026 (current) Following the second dealer visit, vehicle was driven approximately 90 miles from [XXX] to [XXX] without incident. Approximately 30 minutes after parking, vehicle was restarted for a short local trip. Upon restart, the engine emitted a loud abnormal noise and exhibited severe difficulty accelerating. On April 27, 2026, a third party OBD-II scan performed at Autozone confirmed active misfire codes P0300, P0302, and P0303 were still present following a hard battery reset performed by the owner's. While driving under normal conditions on a dry road (no snow or ice), the vehicle experienced a sudden loss of braking performance while in motion. The vehicle was traveling approximately 10–15 mph and approaching an intersection with a red traffic light. A warning message appeared stating: “Brake system problem. Brake performance may be reduced. See your dealer.” Immediately after this message, braking performance was significantly reduced. Multiple attempts to slow the vehicle using the brake pedal resulted in minimal deceleration. The stopping distance was much longer than expected for the speed and conditions. The vehicle only came to a stop after the brake pedal was pressed with full force. Shortly after the initial brake warning, multiple additional safety-related systems went offline, including collision avoidance and other braking-related driver assistance systems. Approximately five to six warning messages appeared, indicating a cascading failure of safety systems while the vehicle was still in motion. The driver was able to slowly maneuver the vehicle to the side of the road and park safely. No collision occurred. However, shortly before this incident, the vehicle had been driven on a highway. If the same failure had occurred at higher speeds or in traffic, it could have resulted in a serious crash or injury. The vehicle is relatively new (approximately two years old, low mileage) and has been routinely maintained. There were no prior warning signs before this event

My 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid began experiencing a noticeable loss of engine power and severe shaking while idling. The problem first appeared when I was parked with the engine running, and the car suddenly started vibrating strongly. Shortly after, the “Emissions System Problem” warning message appeared on the dashboard. A local Honda dealer suspected a malfunction in the fuel injector system, which may have led to improper fuel combustion, reduced acceleration, and overall unstable engine behavior. This issue could increase the risk of an accident, particularly when merging or accelerating in traffic, due to delayed throttle response. Many other CR-V Hybrid owners have reported similar symptoms online, pointing to a potential widespread defect in the fuel delivery system. Despite this, there is currently no official recall for the fuel injectors in this model. I am concerned that this issue, if left unresolved, could lead to engine damage or even pose a fire risk due to unregulated or incomplete fuel combustion. Given the number of reports and the potential danger, I respectfully urge the NHTSA to investigate this issue and consider initiating a recall to protect driver safety.

Car went from regular driving to very rough running engine, multiple warning lights activated and limp mode activated. Drove 25mph to get home. Car was towed to Dealership and after inspection, Fuel injectors and spark plug # 3 had to be replaced. Many many CRV owners seen to be having this problem and this could cause an accident should it happen on a freeway.

Back up camera flashes and will appear in black and white causing a safety issue as you can’t see with the camera.

I want to announce that is going to be 78 DAYS on Monday 21st of this month! Since I discovered after the recall repair done at authorized Honda dealership on Jan the 15th. I'm a vehicle inspector and have documented and recorded on live video on the steering problem that this vehicle that we have owned on new conditions. Honda and even the arbitrator according to them I don't have enough evidence for this vehicle to be re-repaired again. On California lemon law anything that has been more than a month qualifies for a replacement or a refund. The problem is that the dealership states that is normal operation standards to them. I need a 3rd party inspection or an attorney that can represent, we have solid evidence that after the recall repair still has the same issue. I'm a nobody without help. Contacted BAR as well. I need someone that investigates deeply what's going on with Honda of America. This vehicle needs to be taken to a Lab and diagnosed. We're going to take it again Monday the 21 to diag job in Spreen Honda of Loma Linda. Please help!

While stopped at a red light I thought a car was rolling back into me. I took my brain a hot second to realize maybe I was rolling forward into him? But no, I told myself, my foot was on the brake and was pushing as hard as I could once I thought it was me (yep, should have hit the parking brake, but it all happened super-fast). I rolled into him, the light turned green and he pulled ahead, I got aside him rolled window down to ask if his vehicle was standard as I was still convinced he rolled back into me. Needless to say he said no and pretty much ripped me a new asshole for tapping him - I apologized and said "i thought you rolled into me". Brake hold is always on but I was not using the hold, my foot was on the pedal (pushing like a madwoman at one point).

Engine begain shuddering, went to 1/2 power, emissions warning and check engine light came on. happened on highway 3x, happened at stop signs 3-4 times too.

However, my recall letter from Honda states that repairs should be completed within **60 days** of contacting the dealership (February 25, 2025). On [XXX], my 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid experienced a sudden loss of acceleration while driving on the highway, creating a dangerous situation where I was unable to merge or maintain speed. This put me at immediate risk of an accident as other vehicles were traveling at normal highway speeds. This issue arose less than 136 miles after my vehicle underwent recall repairs on [XXX] at Superstition Springs Honda in Mesa, Arizona. The recall repairs included: •Fuel Pump Safety Recall (NHTSA Recall 24-049) •CVT Greasing Recall (NHTSA Recall 24-123) After the recall repair, my vehicle displayed a dashboard warning on [XXX] stating: ⚠ “Emission System Problem. Power may be reduced. See your dealer.” Following this warning, the vehicle failed to accelerate properly despite pressing the gas pedal, making highway driving unsafe. I took my vehicle back to the dealership immediately. The dealership categorized this as an emissions system failure but has not confirmed if it is related to the recall repairs. The dealership also stated that I would need to drive 500 miles after any repair to “confirm” the issue is resolved, which is unreasonable and unsafe given the circumstances. This is a serious safety defect. A sudden loss of acceleration on the highway creates a high risk of collisions, injuries, or fatalities. I contacted Gaudy Honda Dealership in Alhambra CA if they have parts on recall but they always said that its out of stock. and cannot renew my car registration

On 1/21/25 I had multiple warning lights appear while driving along the highway @ 60 mph. The error messaging included “transmission failure, loss of power, emissions control…”. I had not seen alerts prior to this incident, and was not aware of changes in performance other than a recent, minor, decrease in fuel efficiency. Fortunately, I was able to safely exit the freeway & park in a nearby shopping center. My vehicle was towed to the local dealer, Marin Honda. After a week of evaluation, and consulting with Honda America tech support, the dealer reports difficulty isolating the problem and determining appropriate repair. At this time a cracked piston has been identified, and the plan is for a technician to use a barescope to evaluate the cylinder for damage, and the potential need to replace the engine. I am concerned that multiple owners of this model & year have reported the same problem, including loss of power while traveling at high speed (see CRV Owners Club) Their vehicles were also determined to have cracked pistons, with and without cylinder damage. It has also been noted that when the fuel injector remains open it may be a contributing factor to a cracked piston. Could this be relevant to the current recall issued for the fuel pump on the 2024 CRV? Whatever the cause, the potential for catastrophic engine failure places drivers and their passengers, as well as other drivers, at great risk of a serious accident.

Description of incident: Saturday, [XXX] I was in traffic on I [XXX] near the [XXX] exit in Indiana. It was a stop/go, stop/go event as 6 lanes were going down to 1 lane. I was behind a Kroger semi-truck. I had my foot on the brake. I thought the people next to me had started to move, but then I noticed that I was getting closer to the truck (while my foot was on the brake). I pushed the brakes down further. I felt normal resistance. Nothing happened. I hit the cancel button of the adaptive cruise multiple times on my steering wheel thinking that perhaps my adaptive cruise started my movement. I kept rolling. Kept hitting the brakes wondering why I didn't stop. No beeps went off like they normally do. I rolled into the truck. My adaptive cruise had been set to 70, and I had used it before the incident. It was still on standby, but not green. My odometer was around 9547. This happened around 9:50am. No beeping sounds started or emergency braking happened. I would approximate my speed of hitting around 3-5 mph. I hit the truck. I had tried to switch to neutral and then to park. I could not move the gear shaft. I was hitting the brake hold. Anything to make me stop. Nothing worked, and I hit the truck. I did not move after hitting the truck, maybe one of the things I attempted to do worked. My foot was still on the brake. I pulled over, turned off the car, and restarted it. I have not applied the adaptive cruise since then. I don't know if it had anything to do with the incident

Driving on an [XXX] near St Pauls NC at 70mph the engine shut off. Annunciator came on stop now engine is quitting. Check engine light came on. We were in a construction zone so there were barriers blocking the shoulders. We were in a high risk of someone behind ramming into us. We coasted to the exit which was 1/2 mile away. We exited at 2mph. We were very fortunate that no one from the rear, hit us. There was a tractor trailer behind us who put his flashers on, realizing the issue stayed behind us to keep cars from hitting us. All warning lights came on, first engine then all of the safety warnings. Car would not run. It was towed to a Honda dealer in Fayetteville. Honda analyzed the issue as a misfire resulting in engine damage. They performed a boroscope and found 3 piston cracked. Honda after 3 weeks installed a new short block and fuel injectors. My brand new vehicle is in the dealership for the 5th time. 1st incidence was well under 6K miles. Upon diagnosis they changed all 4 fuel injectors and again my car broke last night. Lost power in the middle of the highway leaving me stranded on a deadly situation. It has power system charging issue in the dashboard with all the lights lit up. I no longer feel safer in this car.

October 10, 2024 at about 1200 hours, the entire dashboard display and the upper center console display unexpectedly went black with no visible readout after having drivin 1-1/2 hours on the highway. Pulling off the road, we were able to reset the brightness to maximum and just able to see the readout. This event continued to be repeated several times during the course of the day. We had less than 9000 miles on the odometer at the time. I have checked the fuses, battery, and battery connections-all are in order. This event again repeated itself two weeks later on our return trip. In addition, the fuel gage has failed to fully up date on the display after being reset at the pump. I'm concerned about the possibility of the computer being the problem. We have less than 12,000 miles on the CRV Hybrid. The danger to us and others is that we had no idea of our speed, fuel amount, safety warnings, turn signals, nor what other safeguards were not working. The car is available for inspection upon request. We felt that this safety issue was serious enough to report it nationally before taking it to the dealers, which we will now do along with the other safety recalls on it. At this time, it has not been inspected by manufacturer, police, insurance representatives. Upon completing our first aforementioned long trip, we have not seen the electrical problem repeat within the short distance we drive. Possibly related, the Lane Departure Warning has been activated for no apparent reaason.

Drivers side outside side mirror spontaneously cracked from top to bottom while parked in the cold weather. There was no impact or other damage to cause such a crack. It makes is difficult to see to change lanes.

I leased a 2024 CR-V Sport Hybrid in April 2024. And in early October I backed out of a parking spot. When I applied the brakes there was no response and I back into a parked car. No damage was done to it but I had an estimate of $2000.00 to mine since it was on the hatch back door. I didn't report it because I thought it was my fault. But on Friday Nov. 29, 2024 as I was parallel parking I reversed into the spot and straighten out my vehicle. I put it into gear and started moving forward about six feet slowly. When I went to apply the brakes nothing happened again and I hit my wife’s car in front of me. The CR-V Owners Club has reported a similar incident.

EPS Rack is still not fixed. My dealer keeps telling me no parts when clearly they have them because I know of other people who have gotten theirs fixed. I was told next oil change we will fix it. NEVER HAPPENED. This car is not safe to drive. It veers all over the road and is a chore to drive. Dealership does not care. Honda does not care. Unbelievable.

The fuel injector in my 2024 Honda CR-V malfunctioned, causing severe shaking upon startup, with the "Check Engine" and "Emission System Problem" lights appearing. The problem has been confirmed by a dealer, who recommended replacing the fuel injector. No other parties (such as insurance or police) have inspected it. These warning indicators first appeared a few days before I took it to the dealer.

Sunroof imploded while driving on the interstate. There were no cars around and the weather was sunny mid 80s. It sounded like an explosion with glass flying everywhere. Luckily the sunroof door was closed so glass didn’t fall on top of me. I pulled off the road immediately and no evidence of any outside source was found to explain incident. Dealership claimed it must have been an outside source without proof.

3 Check engine lights came on when my car was transitioning from electric to gas while I was sitting idle. I towed my brand new car (6500 miles) to the honda dealership and they diagnosed it as faulty fuel injectors, a bad spark plug, and a bad ignition coil. The dealer said this is a widespread issue and they have been servicing this type of issue very frequently.

The vehicle starts shaking heavily, with clanking noise and other different noises. It usually happens when it change from engine mode to hybrid mode. When this happens it suddenly starts flashing all kind of failure messages, and ultimately check engine light is on. And during this time the engine makes too much noise and also shakes heavily. My car is fairly new, less than 5000 miles. Dealer is also not exactly sure about the issue. Sometimes they are saying, some bolts were loose, and sometimes they are saying it is software problem.

I went to the dealership to address this safety recall and was told not to worry about the issue and they have no parts to address it anyway. Honda dealerships are saying this is not a safety concern and not willing or able to address. How are consumers supposed to know which safety recalls are important?

Car shake when switch from EV to gas. Found out the fuel injectors is bad. I replace fuel injectors, now the car is fine. Car has 50,000 miles.

New vehicle with 3000 miles. Shaking and idling when car is switching from hybrid to combustion injection. Typically noticed at idle, when in stop and go traffic. Honda determined fuel injectors were the reason behind misfires and replaced the direct fuel injectors as well as the rack.

When starting the vehicle engine shakes and rattles, when motor is idling and charging the EV battery and also when going from EV to Gas and Gas to EV engine shakes and rattles. When accelerating the engine shakes and rattles. Engine feels sluggish and a loud ticking noise can be heard. Seems the engine is struggling and accelerating it feels the engine rocks back and forth. When transmission is changing gears I also feel the engine rock back and forth.

Fuel Injectors failed on all 4 cylinders. They replaced them, still having issue. Blown head gasket was what they diagnosed next and repaired. Picked up vehicle, when driving it down the interstate (70 mph speed limit) the check engine light started flashing. An error came up indicating a Critical Failure. Vehicle stopped accelerating and would not move, luckily I was able to coast to the emergency lane. American Honda states they want to replace the cylinder head now.

Car was only a couple months old. Started shuttering and losing power while driving on freeway, all wheel drive function cut out also. No lights or indication of a problem until a couple of days later. Took to dealer, turns out the fuel injectors failed. Mostly with the 2024 CRV Hybrids, but seems that other 6th gen years are affected also. Contacted Honda corporate office and they are pretending to not know of any issues, even though a simple google search will show many other people are reporting the same thing.

While returning home to Louisiana from Mississippi on [XXX], the sunroof on my 2024 Honda Hybrid CR-V Sport L suddenly exploded. There were no vehicles in front of me, and no trees or other objects were close enough to hit the glass. The sunroof will be repaired through my insurance. Had we opened the sunroof cover, as we sometimes do, all the glass would have entered the vehicle cabin, potentially causing injury to my wife and our autistic son. There were no warnings or indications prior to the explosion. I have contacted Honda to alert them about this incident. Have a ‘24 hybrid. my car started experiencing a vibration when idling (when the engine is running!), it would last for about 15 seconds. My POWER SYSTEM PROBLEM light and my EMISSIONS SYSTEM PROBLEM lights came on. Took it in to honda and they just said they need to reset the car, which they did. Now today my car was vibrating but, no system lights came on.
