Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2026 CR-V Hybrid, Accord Hybrid, and 2025 CR-V Fuel Cell EV vehicles that were previously remedied under NHTSA recall number 26V366. When using the tire repair kit, pressure may build within the sealant bottle, causing the bottle cap to detach.

Risk. A detached bottle cap can become a projectile and strike the user or others nearby, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and replace the tire repair kit nozzle, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 16, 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's number for this recall is PPW. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 17, 2026. Vehicles previously repaired under recall 26V366 will need to have the new remedy completed.

Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Honda Accord, Accord Hybrid, Civic Sedan, Civic Hatchback, Pilot, and 2024 HR-V, Acura Integra and Acura Integra Type S vehicles. The driver's seat cushion frame may not have been tightened properly, which can result in an unsecured seat. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 207, "Seating Systems."

Risk. An unsecured driver's seat may not adequately restrain the driver during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the driver's seat cushion frame, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 6, 2025. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138.

Risk. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and replace the high-pressure fuel pump as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed February 20, 2025. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is PJW.

On October 12, 2026, my 2024 Honda Accord Sport-L Hybrid experienced a serious and potentially dangerous loss of propulsion while driving. Without warning, multiple warning lights and system malfunction messages appeared simultaneously on the dashboard. The vehicle then switched to electric-only (EV) operation, and the gasoline engine was no longer providing propulsion. I continued operating the vehicle using the remaining hybrid battery charge. As the battery charge decreased from approximately 1–2 bars to empty, the vehicle lost its ability to propel itself and eventually came to a rolling stop. After stopping, I turned the vehicle off and restarted it. The vehicle subsequently resumed normal operation, and most of the warning lights disappeared. However, the emissions system warning remained illuminated. After researching this incident, I discovered NHTSA Safety Recall 25V785000 (Honda Recall TN2), which affects certain 2023–2025 Honda Accord Hybrid vehicles. According to the recall, a software error involving the Integrated Control Module (ICM) may cause the system to reset while driving, resulting in a loss of drive power. The symptoms described in this recall closely resemble what I experienced. However, when I contacted Honda, I was informed that this recall had already been completed on my vehicle. I am extremely concerned that my vehicle experienced a loss of propulsion despite Honda reporting that the applicable safety recall remedy had already been performed. This

Car went into a power on-power off sequence after leaving from a stop sign. After 4 or 5 of these on-off sequences it acted normally and hasn't repeated. There was minimal traffic at the time so no damage to report, but it could be really dangerous.

The contact owns a 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed into a parking space, the brake pedal was depressed but the vehicle failed to stop. The vehicle unintendedly accelerated and drove over a parking space bump. The contact shifted the transmission into reverse(R) and depressed the accelerator pedal, and then the brake pedal, but the vehicle failed to stop. The contact turned the steering wheel while driving approximately 30-40 MPH to avoid crashing in other vehicles and structures in the parking lot. The vehicle reversed in circles and crashed into the side of a fence before it came to a stop. The air bags did not deploy. The contact suffered back, hip, and leg pain but had not received medical attention immediately. The contact's granddaughter was a passenger inside the vehicle and had no injuries. The contact later sought medical attention from a massage therapist. No Police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who determined that there was 100% acceleration without the brakes activating, and the vehicle was not shifted into park(P). The vehicle was then towed to a Collision Center for rear damages; however, the vehicle was not yet repaired. The contact was informed that a third-party company would evaluate the vehicle and the Event Data Recorder (EDR) to recalibrate the EDR. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was 23,069.

The steering in my 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid gets sticky. It resists movement making small adjustments, especially on the highway. It gets worse the longer that I drive but then goes away if I stop the car (like at a rest stop) but then reappears soon after. After my 2nd complaint to the dealership, the service manager states that he took it on a one hour drive and didn't experience the same issue. I called the dealership on 10/30/2025 stating that the problem seems to be getting worse. They said that they couldn't do anything unless they can recreate the issue, but could not offer me a loaner vehicle while they have my car. At times, knowing that the steering is electronically controlled, I fear that I will lose all steering when driving on the highway. This issue needs to be investigated to see if the recall that involved other VIN's of the same model needs to be expanded.

Component/System: Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) or related software. Vehicle available for inspection. Safety Risk: Vehicle brakes or decelerates unexpectedly during normal driving, risking rear-end collisions. Most recent incident on August 23, 2025, required override by pressing accelerator and shifting to neutral in traffic. Reproduction: Dealer could not replicate issue during May 16, 2025 visit. No diagnostic codes found. Radar and braking systems reported as “operating normally.” A second evaluation occurred after September 5, 2025, with no resolution; issue persists. Inspection: Inspected by Honda dealership twice—on May 16, 2025 (Invoice #488382) and again after September 5, 2025. No third-party inspections. Symptoms: Braking occurs in Sport, Normal, and Econ modes. Happens when accelerating from stop or easing off accelerator. Brake light activates falsely. No warning lamps or messages prior to failure. Issue has occurred 10+ times over the past year. Related Software Issues: Radio failure (resolved via software update). Clock shows incorrect time. Apple CarPlay fails to connect until restart. Navigation compass shows concentric circles.

Wiring harness failed randomly at 42,000 with no damage to the harness, engine, or vehicle itself. Without the wiring harness the engine does not run properly and shakes violently, causing the car to lose power. This happened with no prior warnings, problems, or damage. Additionally the steering rack seems “loose” and changes direction quite quickly when hitting a pothole or uneven roads even at lower speeds. I have to make sure I constantly have a firm grip on the wheel so no sudden unexpected direction changes occur due to imperfections in the road.

Steering rack clunking on every turn of the wheel. Common problem being reported online, Honda does do replacements but often dealers will fight over the severity of the problem. A brand new vehicle should not have steering problems.

I was sitting in my car, and the entire steering and brake system went offline and the car had a bunch of hazard lights on and said to tow to a dealership. I tested the steering, and didn’t feel the wheels turn with the steering wheel, and the brakes went to the floor. When I went to shut off my car, it did the emergency shut-off (press 2xs or hold for 3 seconds). I attempted to restart the car about 4 times that night, and then I let it sit and tried it again 2 more times before having it towed to the dealership. The dealership stated they received the car and everything was suddenly fine and there were no code history, and they could not tell me the issue. Prior to this, the only issue I had was the car braking when no one was in front of me, but no issues with the steering wheel. With the entire brake system and steering system out, it could have caused a serious accident if I was driving at the time, but I was parked.

Honda has a noise on the left side of the front wheel. dealer said was the steering wheel

The contact owned a 2024 Honda Accord. The contact stated while at a complete stop at a four-way stop, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The contact stated that the vehicle jerked. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact allowed the vehicle to roll into the residential driveway. The contact turned the vehicle off. The contact’s son noticed the fire coming from under the hood and yelled for the contact to exit the vehicle. The fire department was called and extinguished the fire. The vehicle was towed to a local tow yard. The vehicle was condemned as a total loss. The contact stated that the vehicle was purchased six months before the failure. In addition, the contact received a recall notification, NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V763000 (Fuel System, Gasoline), which was received after the failure had occurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case. The failure mileage was approximately 4,200.

The steering rack started to make a clicking noise after I received an oil change and tire rotation. Driving itself wasn't affected, but the noise continued.

Purchased my car brand new. Within 1.5 years I've had to have 2 steering racks replaced and another component replaced within the steering column. Currently my lane keeping assist problem is on and I'm waiting to get appt confirmation from the service dept manager. My infotainment center went black and quit working and had to be replaced a little over a year after purchasing the car. The paint began peeling off my front bumper within 6 months of purchasing the car. I'm currently dealing with the Honda I purchased from to try to come to a resolution of this issue since I don't want my brand new car to have a bumper repainted and possibly not match and have it show up on a carfax report. Also have what the dealership calls "fisheyes" under the clear coat of the factory paint. Approx 20-25 spots on my entire car. The dealership said they could "buff" the places but shouldnt have left the factory in that condition. The body shop that Honda sent me too said once they started buffing on the "fisheyes" that they couldn't guarantee that the buffing of the spots would correct the issue or if they would need to repaint which I'm not ok with since it is a brand new car and paint might not even match the rest of the car. Also', I should add that all the maintenance and repairs have been completed at the dealership where I purchased my car brand new.

Car since bought brand new had a pull to one side of the road with noises coming from steering components when operating or hitting any road bumps, which led to prematurely worn wheels and road noises( capping) dealer performed alignment and changed cable reel in steering column.., it got misaligned again 5 days later! And still going through the dark tunnel please help!

I was driving on an expressway 355 on Friday July 25. It was raining hard. I slowed down and was getting ready to exit on 55 when the lights On the dash all started lighting up and telling me it required immediate attention at the dealer. The car would not accelerate. I was going slow and was able to idol to the space between 355 and 55. There were cars all around me. I put my hazards on and turned it off. I waited a minute and restarted it. Luckily it started and I was able to drive. This happened on an expressway during a storm I was terrified and worried that I would cause an accident by not being able to move the vehicle. This happened once before also while raining but was in a parking lot of a gas station. I took it in and they told me it’s the 12V battery. However was not failing while at dealer. This is a serious safety issue.

I am writing to report a recurring issue with my 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid. The interior rear-view mirror has detached multiple times from the windshield under normal conditions and adjustments. This poses a safety concern, as it obstructs proper rear visibility and could become a distraction while driving due to the detachment. I had a flat tire while driving on 7/8/25 and THE TPMS error did not show up in the car screen. I informed the dealer Hoen Honda motors of Carlsbad, CA, and he mentioned that TPMS will not work for flat tire.

I applied the brakes and pulled up to a light and as soon as my car came to a complete stop all of the lights just started going off. The light turned green and I couldn’t accelerate anymore and almost got rear ended. I tried turning the car off but it didn’t turn off. Instead, it just made a clicking sound and I was able to accelerate and pull into a parking lot and I was able to turn it off and I turned it back on and it the brake system light stayed on. I drove to work and when I got to work I turned it off and turned it back on and the car is fine.

A repeated clicking or popping noise is coming from the electric steering rack when turning the steering wheel left or right, especially at low speeds or when stationary. The issue started with a faint sound and has progressively worsened. It now occurs in both directions and is clearly audible during tight maneuvers or while parking. This may indicate internal looseness or failure in the steering gear assembly, which raises safety concerns as it could affect steering precision or lead to unexpected resistance. Several other owners of the same vehicle model have reported the exact same issue, which suggests this may be a design or manufacturing defect. There were no warning lights or dashboard messages before or during the issue. The condition occurs consistently and may continue to worsen.

Vehicle shakes roughly and vibrations on this 2024 Honda Accord hybrid when transitioning from electric to gas motor at idle. This occurs sporadically but generally when idling in traffic or a drive thru etc. The electric motor is working in this idle stage, but when the heater or AC is on and you are idling for a period of time, it will kick on the gas motor causing shaking of the vehicle. This occurs mainly when the gas motor is kicking on from idle and sometimes when it shuts itself back off again. This problem was reported to selling dealer Smail Honda at a service appointment on 6/9/25. Tech did not find the problem and left these notes: "Scanned computer for faults and none present. Vehicle operating as designed." In my opinion, the vehicle is not operating as designed and this could be a possible safety issue so I'm filing this incident with NHTSA.

While driving on the highway, the skid plate of my vehicle suddenly detached and crumpled underneath the car, creating a loud scraping noise as it dragged along the road. All maintenance and service for the vehicle have been performed at Honda of Cleveland Heights. I am concerned that this incident may be the result of a design failure or an oversight during recent maintenance.

While driving on the highway multiple vehicle dash lights began flashing, including brake system, tire pressure, check engine; and the vehicle suddenly and completely lost the ability to accelerate. The car was clearly still on and in drive, but pressing the gas pedal had no effect. After turning off the car and restarting after a few minutes, the brake system alert persists. Car was towed to dealer out of concern for safety. The attached picture is after the vehicle restarted.

I had an accident on I-85 I was rear ended after traffic slammed on breaks and the car behind had been riding my bumper for miles. He went through my trunk and almost came into my backseat. I was also pushed into the car infront of me which his directly on the drivers side of my car. My front end is completely pushed on the drivers side into to where you can see the metal frame. On the rear, the bumper and metal frame completely came off. I was hit directly on impact sensors on both ends and none of my airbags went off. And my seatbelt did not lock up. We were still going about 60-70mph when he hit me. The car is a total loss.

The contact owns a 2024 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, the vehicle became difficult to turn with a popping sound coming from the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed with rack and pinion. The contact stated that initially after the repair, the rack and pinion part was defective, and another rack and pinion part was ordered. The contact stated that an alignment was performed four times. The vehicle was repaired; however, a year after the repair, the vehicle started shaking and the wheels were bent. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not repaired because it was not under recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,600.

Brake system, ABS, and tire pressure warnings come on weekly. The Honda service can’t find anything wrong with the vehicle so they are resetting the lights. There are no codes listed. Software issue? Mechanical issue? Nobody knows, even the car doesn’t know.

Turning the wheel causes a popping and crackle type of noise. The sound is continuing to worsen and I can hear it from inside and outside of the car. Local Honda dealer told us there isn’t a replacement part as of now and this is a factory defect that hasn’t been recalled at the present time. I feel it could be a safety issue related to the ability to steer and control the car when it sticks or pulls

I was driving on a highway when the engine light came on and the car immediately started slowing down even though I was pressing the gas pedal. It flashed there was a failure of the brake system, collision mitigation braking system, road departure mitigation system, hill start assist system, and adaptive cruise control system. The check battery light also came on. The car decelerated on its own with brakes engaged. I had to choice but to immediately pull over and luckily was able to steer to an off ramp and into a parking lot.

While driving slow in a parking lot or parked any wheel movement causes a loud popping or clicking. Dealership diagnosed it as needing a new steering rack on a vehicle with 6000 miles. They should be added to the recall of the civic Integra and CRV‘s as apparently it has the same manufacturer or same problem in the steering rack. I feel very unsafe with my wife in this car, knowing the steering rack (pretty important) could fail at any time.

The steering rack has a defect. It has been replaced and the same problem is still ongoing. The gearbox has also been replaced but the problem is ongoing. The car makes loud noise when driving, turning the steering wheel, braking. I do not feel safe driving this car. I have had it for 1 year and it’s already been in service over 20 times. I’ve been having issues with this, 2 weeks after I purchased the vehicle. The lane assist is supposed to keep the steering wheel straight, and it does not, tue car merges to the right.

The contact owns a 2024 Honda Accord. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V763000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was contacted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

The brake system sensor light appears on the dashboard and cuts off supply to the gas pedal. Not able to accelerate while sensor turns on, which is very unsafe.

Since its purchase, several parts have already been replaced, further demonstrating a pattern of defects and unreliability. Steering wheel feels like it gets stuck on dead center when driving on a perfectly straight level road over 40 mph. When trying to compensate to keep the car in the center of the lane, it feels like you need to apply extra resistance to get the steering wheel to move and then when it moves it feels like it breaks loose causing the wheel to move more than intended resulting in the car moving to far to whichever direction you were trying to move, and then having to turn the wheel in the opposite direction to compensate for the excessive move in that direction. Steering wheel seems perfectly fine until put on dead center for about 10 seconds or longer going perfectly straight. Then it tightens up again and feels the same way when trying to keep the car in the center of the lane. Extra resistance is once again needed, and produces the same result of seeming to stick, then breaking free and over steering the car.

My car that i just recently purchased, has an active recall on the fuel pump and it has now been more than 60 days with no remedy. My car is leaking and i fear everytime i drive that it may catch on fire if the fuel leak occurs in the presence of an ignition source.

Re: Two Honda Fuel Pump Recalls in 10 Months In 60 years of driving, I never had a recall on a car until February 2024. In the past 10 months, I have had 2 Hondas recalled for life-threatening fuel pump issues. 1) In 2019, I purchased my first Honda, a Civic. 2) In February, 2024, I received a recall on the 2019 Honda Civic for an improperly constructed fuel pump. I was told the car could just stop - and cause an accident in highway driving. I was also told the replacement part for the fuel pump would not be available until the fall of 2024, at least 6 months later. I did not feel safe driving that car so I traded it into Lia Honda in Northampton, MA for a new 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid. 3) On December 16, 2024, I received a recall on the fuel pump for the new Honda Accord which stated that “due to improper production, the high-pressure fuel pump may crack and leak fuel” which “in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire, crash or injury.” From the recall notice“the replacement parts needed to repair your vehicle currently are not available…” Once again, I owned a Honda that would be life-threatening to drive. Because of Honda’s improper fuel pump production, I had to buy my second new car in 10 months. I have a new car - not a Honda. What kind of quality control does Honda have??

If Part is not replaced how am I ensured of my safety?

I was driving at about 40 mph and the car lost all power and stopped in the middle of the road. Most all of the warning lights were on like low air pressure, reduced brakes and a brake problem light etc. Turned the car off and restarted and drove another 5 miles with the brake problem light still on. Stopped and restarted car and the brake light went off and all seems normal now. From my reading on Honda Accord Forums it might be a bad ICM unit? Will be contacting a Honda dealer soon.

The Honda dealers do not have the parts to repair the fuel pump recall...and they have no idea when or if they will receive the parts...very frustrating since this was a brand new car purchase

Vehicle pulls to the left when driving normally. Over time louder and louder popping sounds are heard when turning the wheel. Vehicle ping pongs the lane when using Lane Keep Assist.

On 11/11/2024 while at an intersection with a redlight, I was the first car in the "merge to the right" short lane, stopped and waiting on right lane traffic on the road that intersected to clear. When it was safe to go, I moved my foot to the accelerator and nothing happened. I realized my vehicle had lost power / "died;" that all dashboard lights were out. I quickly put my vehicle gear in "Park" position and restarted. It did restart but immediately a red warning light began flashing saying "Brake System Failure" and "Take Vehicle to Dealer." I was terrified as I proceeded in the right lane of traffic since I had vehicles behind me as well as in front of me and I had to cross an intersection with traffic merging from an interstate highway. There was not a safe place to go; all businesses along this stretch had no entry except on their back side. I had to proceed across several major intersections before I could get to a safe place. Meanwhile, warning lights continued and included more than Brake System Failure. One was showing a Warning diagram about changing lanes of traffic which I had to do. Obviously, brakes worked because I was able to stop when needed but I was afraid the brakes would not work which could have been deadly for myself and others. Once I was stopped and in a safe place, I called Honda Roadside Assistance and my car was towed to the nearest Honda dealership. As of this writing (six days from incident), Honda dealership is still investigating; they have no

The contact owns a 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid. The contact stated while driving 63 - 65 MPH, the vehicle experienced a side-to-side collision on the passenger's side that involved another vehicle. The passenger's side curtain air bags deployed, an alarm sounded, and a message advising of a braking failure was displayed. The contact depressed the brake pedal, but the vehicle failed to respond. The contact veered into the grass in the median lane, and the vehicle came to a stop. The contact stated that during the collision, the seat belt failed to retract and fully extended, causing the contact to hit the sternum against the steering wheel. The contact also sustained whiplash. The contact did not seek medical assistance. A police report was filed, but the contact did not have the police report information available. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence, where it was picked up by the insurance company and towed to an inspection site. The dealer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

I am filing a complaint regarding the lack of a remedy for the recall on my vehicle, 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid (VIN: [XXX] ). Per the NHTSA website, “due to improper production of the high-pressure fuel pump in the vehicle…a fuel leak can occur when the high-pressure fuel pump is in operation”. The safety risk of this issue is that “if a fuel leak occurs in the presence of an ignition source, the risk of a fire, crash, or injury are increased”. On [XXX] I had a Hyundai Sonata Sport that was in perfect condition and up to date on its maintenance that spontaneously combusted while being towed from NYC to NJ. I lost thousands of dollars of items as well as the 1st car I purchased on my own. The incident was traumatic, and it is thought that the reason it occurred was an undiagnosed fuel leak in the vehicle. To now find out that the car that I leased right after this incident also has the potential to have the same outcome is very unsettling. I called my Honda dealership and Honda corporate regarding this issue on 10/29/2024 and was told I need to wait until December for a letter in the mail with instructions on how the issue will be remedied. Honda was unwilling to give me a guarantee that my car is safe to drive and was unwilling to inspect my car unless I smelled gas in the car or saw gas under the car after it was running. This situation is extremely distressing and not reasonable. I trusted Honda to provide me with a safe, reliable vehicle. I request that I am given a replace

The contact owns a 2024 Honda Accord. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V763000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle was hesitating. The contact stated that the failure was more pronounced while driving up an incline. There were no warning lights illuminated. The dealer was contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 22,400. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

I received a recall notice yesterday for my car, [XXX] . I called 3 dealerships in my area today and they all say they don't know when parts will be available. And how am I supposed to use my car now if they have no responsibility for what may happen. There is no date when I can check and replace the recalled part. I have called bill page Honda 6715 Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22042 and called a couple other dealerships no one knows when they will receive the parts and be able to check if there is a problem and replace the recalled part. When the steering wheel is turned it makes noise as if it is coming from suspension. Abnormal Noise when steering wheel is turned

I am writing to let you know that 10/2/2024 my 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid Sport had sudden loss of drive-line power while I was traveling on the highway at 75mph. I was able to safely coast/navigate to the shoulder and stop. Steering and braking systems were normal. The car would not drive or restart once stopped. A tow truck was called to tow my car to the nearest Honda dealer to be fixed. There were no warning lights or sounds prior to this incident. Dealer determined root cause of problem was PCM not communicating with charging system. The PCM was replaced under warranty and my car was ready for pickup 10/18/2024

There is a creaking noise coming from underneath the steering wheel when turning the wheel left or right. The sound is audible when driving at slow and moderate speeds when turning the wheel greater than ~90 degrees in either direction. The main concern is that the noise could indicate a more severe safety problem in the future. Vehicle is currently being inspected by the dealer after recreating the problem at the service center. No additional warning messages are displayed on the car.

Brand new car. After approximately six months, the drive shaft started making very loud popping noises when turning the steering wheel at low speeds. This happens 100% of the time with even minimal steering wheel movement. Honda is not sure if the drive shaft is rubbing against the frame of failing within the driveshaft. Honda is not reporting any service guidance so each dealership is pulling apart the cars looking for solutions. This should be recalled.

2024 Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L. The moon roof exploded as I was driving about 40 miles per hour on a 107-degree afternoon. The moon roof was puffed out from the explosion. Sounded like a shotgun going off. Android Auto inquired if there was a collision to report - due to the concussion from the explosion.

This is a hybrid vehicle with only 1100 miles on it. The engine start to stutter and violently shake when the gas engine turns on at low speed or idle. The car will have limited power during this time and the acceleration will be jerky. This is a safety concerns since this behavior can kick in randomly, because the car computer decides when the gas engine kicks in, which is unpredictable. I have done some research online with Honda owners and this issue is fairly common for new (2024 and 2025) Honda hybrid vehicles such as the CRV or Accord. almost all people reporting this issue have their cars less than 10k miles. Online report seems to indicate that the problem is related to bad fuel injector. Some reported that dealers unable or refuse to perform repair due to unavailable parts. I will have an inspection from a local Honda dealer later this week. I currently do not have warning lights on at the moment. But other owners have mentioned check engine and/or check transmission warning lights as this issue progresses.

I started smelling gas getting in and out and near the car. I checked under the car when I first started smelling it and for maybe a couple more days before it had an appointment for PDR repair at body shop. I wasn’t seeing gas. I had night dropped the car at the body shop and when they smelled it they called and asked if they could take it to Honda of Lincoln for me. They said it was a puncture, denied warranty coverage (not a defect) and sent info to me to send to Honda Corporate who they told me to call - they wanted $5,000 to pull the engine and drop the rear end to feed a new line in with the idea that Honda might offer assistance. Honda is trying to settle with me - I’m holding out though - part of the settlement would be I don’t get to keep the line - I keep thinking about how I was smelling it for some days before any was visible on the ground - as if it started very small and grew - even now (it’s been parked) if you put the line under pressure after you shut it off it will only leave about an 8 inch spot which is an incredibly small amount of gas. I made an appointment for next week at another shop- I want to keep it and get it looked at by some university professor who knows something about plastics and find out for sure if this is a defect or not -Actually I should clarify that what I term a settlement they characterize as assistance in the form of them absorbing a portion of the repair costs, but they still say I can’t keep the line.
