Defect. THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER FRONT OUTBOARD OCCUPANT SEAT HAVE BEEN DESIGNED WITH THE SAFETY BELT ANCHORAGE ON THE SEAT STRUCTURE. IT IS POSSIBLE, IN A VEHICLE CRASH, THAT THE SEAT STRUCTURE WOULD FAIL TO WITHSTAND THE FORCES WITHIN THE LIMITS SET FORTH IN FMVSS 207 AND FMVSS 210.

Risk. THE SEATING AND SAFETY BELT SYSTEMS FAIL TO COMPLY WITHTHE SAFETY STANDARDS OF FMVSS 207 AND 210, AND COULD INCREASE THE RISK OF INJURYTO OCCUPANTS IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH OR SUDDEN STOP.

Remedy. RELOCATE THE SEAT BELT ANCHORAGE ASSEMBLIES FROM THE SEAT PEDESTAL ASSEMBLY TO THE VEHICLE FRAME THROUGH THE FLOOR STRUCTURE TO REDUCE THE LOAD ON THE SEAT PEDESTAL ASSEMBLY IN THE EVENT OF A SUDDEN STOP OR ACCIDENT.

THE TWO FRONT SEAT BELTS WERE RECALLED AND REPLACED BY AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. AFTER THE REPAIRS WERE MADE THE CONSUMER REALIZED THE REMOUNTING OF THE NEW SEAT BELTS PREVENTED THE SEATS FROM ROTATING 180 DEGREES AND THE CONSUMER CAN NO LONGER USE THE EAT FOR ADDITIONAL SEATING IN THE LIVING ROOM AREA OF THE MOTORHOME. THE SEAT BELTS ALSO DON'T FIT PROPERLY. PH *NLM
