Driver side CV AXLE broke.
Unknown, I was driving in my wheel stop moving , it’s saying now power steering wheel, for my breaks, it keep saying check brake system
I got a letter from ford awhile ago about my brakes. I brought it in then they stated I was fine. But you have to push my brake peddle all the way to the floor of the car to make my vehicle stop. I feel this is VERY UNSAFE for me and my family, And also others around me if something where to happen do to this problem. We have done multiply things to try to correct the problem with no luck.

Power steering assist failure. Happening while not in motion.
Car parking selector, cable, parking prowler/bearing or module sensor inside transmission when car is placed in park indicator indicate as in park but vehicle still motions forward as not in park and if key can be taking out an car shut off will not start because not in the park position an is tough trying to get back in park to start the vehicle but indicator indicates as car in the park position has happened 3-4 times once almost causing a accident in a shopping enter whiling trying to park in parking space an vehicle indicated as in the park position an turn off vehicle it continued to roll forward almost hitting the vehicle in front parking space
Brake pedal suddenly got "soft" - pedal has to be pressed further before braking begins and requires more pressure for the same amount of braking prior to the issue. Mechanic replaced brake pads and rotors and master cylinder. This did not correct the problem. Rear brake pads/rotors are wearing abnormally fast. Symptoms are consistent with malfunction of the hydraulic control unit for which there is a recall from Ford Motor Company. Although this vehicle model year (2010) is included in the recall period, my VIN number is not included. There are numerous anecdotal stories on search results for this problem where many Ford Fusion owners have the same problem and also are not included in the recall.

On [XXX] my car exhibited a problem where the brake pedal was mushy and had to be pushed half way down to stop the vehicle. It felt very unsafe as it happened suddenly and stayed like that. Since I felt unsafe, I took it to my nearest mechanic local shop. He told me that it can be a Master Cylinder issue first and then the HCL. I looked online and found an old recall on Ford fusions 2006-2010 model with recall number 19S54 (DOT Brake Fluid and Anti-Lock Brake System Function). I checked my VIN and there was no recall for my vehicle. It was strange since my vehicle build day was very close to the date mentioned on the recall. On 12/4/2024 at 7:45 AM PST (10:45 EST), I called Ford Dealer (Colley Ford Service) and described the issue and told them about the recall. They did some research and told me my vehicle is NOT covered. On 12/4/2024 at 8:00 and 8:30 AM PST (11:30 EST), I called the customer relations at Ford. They provided the same response and told me that no recall is on my vehicle based on my VIN. That was a bit frustrating given that my vehicle was showing very similar issue and as safety concern. I also discussed this recall with my mechanic. I told my mechanic to go ahead with the repairs he believes is appropriate for my car to ensure my safety. My mechanic inspected it and told me that its either a Master Cylinder problem or the Hydraulic Brake Control Unit (HCU) or both. He first changed the Master Cylinder and flushed Brakes with DOT 4 Ford recommended. That did
Power steering failure along with advanced track faulty. Occurred during mid-drive.
The contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving at various speeds and attempting to turn the steering wheel to the left or the right and while driving straight, the steering wheel was sticking as if the power steering functionality had failed. The failure occurred mostly after the vehicle had been idle. The contact had to use excessive strength to manipulate the steering wheel until the steering wheel loosened and could be steered as needed. The contact researched and learned that it was a common failure with the steering rack. The dealer was contacted and informed the contact of the cost of replacing the steering rack. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer had referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 164,000.

Brake pedal goes all the way to the floor. Very soft. Needs new abs module but this vin is not affected by the recall. Should be included. I have another 2010 fusion that had the same issue and ford fixed it with the recall. Recall needs to be expanded
As I was driving the vehicle, my ABS and all other brake service lights came on. I stopped driving the car except to take it to the dealership to be assessed and repaired. I had to have a new HCU and ABS module installed as well as brake fluid flush. After driving it off the lot I realized I had to push the brakes all the way to floor and it was still slow to stop. I took it back to the dealership and they bled the brakes again. It still doesn't brake as well as it did before incident. I had these repairs performed in Jan 2024 and recently found out that in April 2021 there was a recall for this same exact problem. I was never notified by mail as I usually am for recalls. I paid for these repairs out of pocket and believe this should have been covered under the recall from 2021. I feel this could've turned out much worse if I had continued driving the car. I would like this to be further investigated as to whether this falls under the recall.
The throttle body failed. It is not available for inspection because it was replaced. While driving on a high-speed road, the engine felt like it shuddered, and the car lost engine power and would no longer accelerate. At the same time, the light shaped like a wrench came on. Our safety was therefore put at risk because we could now barely accelerate, and could easily have been rear-ended. The problem was confirmed and repaired by an independent service center. After doing the repair, the service center informed us that there was a Ford Customer Satisfaction Service Bulletin (13NO3) for this problem. We called Ford about this bulletin and were told that the Bulletin was limited to ten years or 150,000 miles, whichever came first. Even though our car is over ten years old, it only has 87,000 miles on it.
Electronic Throttle Body Car lost power on busy, construction road Manufacturer issued secret warranty to owners and did not send out notice Multiple certified mechanics have inspected the vehicle Check engine, ABS, service advance trac, and power train lights were on and i am uncertain when they first came on
I financed a vehicle from Recovery auto in independence Missouri in doing so u mentioned to them I’d be driving to Texas and asked them if the vehicle could make the drive and the responded yes but at no time did the mention there was an active recall on the vehicle I ended up breaking and in calling them they were also surprised when they saw the recall from 2015 in the vehicle and that is the first time it was mentioned to me after being 3 hours away in a different state
Electronic throttle body failure My car lost power going 50 mph in road construction The car had a recall and extended warranty on it from 2014-2024, i was not notified Check engine light, drive shaft light, and service advance trac appeared a few weeks before the failure
Brake pedal randomly drops to floor, spongy brakes. Took to local dealer. My vin number is NOT part of recall. No parts are available.
Under normal driving conditions, I have experienced extended brake pedal travel while braking, accompanied by the activation of the ABS, brake, and traction control warning lights. This issue has recurred multiple times over the past year while driving at speeds up to 65 mph, typically lasting for several days until the warning lights reset and hydraulic/regenerative braking is restored. The failure of the hydraulic braking system poses a significant threat not only to my safety but also to the safety of everyone on the road. Without reliable brakes, the ability to stop effectively is compromised, increasing the risk of accidents and endangering both myself and others nearby. Most recently, this problem persisted for over two weeks. The vehicle was inspected at a Ford dealership, which determined that the ABS module had failed and required replacement. The vehicle is available for further inspection upon request. This failure of the ABS module could be linked to the same issue previously recalled in the gas model of the Ford Fusion (Ford Motor Company Recall No. 19S54), where the DOT3 brake fluid causes a normally closed valve to remain stuck open in the brake system’s hydraulic control unit (HCU). Alarmingly, the Ford Fusion hybrid model was excluded from this recall, despite exhibiting the same dangerous braking issues. In November 2018, the NHTSA recommended a safety recall for this concern due to its serious nature. Ford’s "Customer Satisfaction Program 21N11" acknowledge
The contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, the vehicle was shaking abnormally. The contact depressed the brake pedal, and the vehicle shook more violently. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed and determined that the passenger’s side front caliper needed to be replaced, and that the brake fluid needed to be flushed and refilled. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the mechanic was not able to get pressure in the brake lines and that HCU needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V904000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the VIN was not included. The failure mileage was approximately 170,000.
The contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that after turning the vehicle off and exiting the vehicle the contact heard air seeping and leaking sound coming from the rear of the vehicle. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the canister purge valve. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that a short time later upon approaching the vehicle the contact observed gasoline pooling underneath the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, who then determined that the excessive pressure resulting from the failure of the canister purge valve caused the fuel tank to develop a crack that was then leaking gasoline. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V793000 (Fuel System, Gasoline), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 170,000.
The power steering pump completely shuts down and throws a Power Steering Fault Error. When this happens, the car is moved as safe as possible to a safe location, turned off and restarted and the error clears. When the error displays, all power steering is shut off. There is no warning, it operates fine after restart, I have not noticed any correlation as to when it happens, but when it happens, it leaves you in a dangerous position. The dealer has not reproduced the issue, but has heard reports of the issue. I have not been able to reproduce reliably either.
I left my driveway and all of a sudden my abs light came on , I can't remember what it said like and system fault.i pulled over stopped turned car off and back on light hasn't come on since. Then weeks later I was driving and had to brake suddenly to avoid an accident and my breaks gave way. I tried pumping them but they went to the floor and stopping took longer. I pulled into a parking lot stopped.i put it in park, shit off then on they worked fine. But Everytime I apply my brakes when going over bumpy rail road crossings my breaks go to the floor and I can barely stop. Even severe bumps in road when I try to stop causes it.it happens Everytime I go over tracks since the first incident to the point I'm now scared of them.I had a mechanic look at it he said my fluid wasn't low, checked the lines n hoses no leaks. He said fluid was a bit odd in color. He then bled my brakes and replaced fluid.they seemed okay then for 2 months everything was fine til I went over railroad tracks and brakes went soft again. Now they feel softer then before at normal stops but no lights and no abs warning light has come on. He is stumped. I bought this car in 2013 but never did receive a recall notice in 2019 for the brakes or hydraulic.i think my car should be included if that is the problem.
Cylinder two the brass fitting came out of the transmission, no power when trying to accelerate, for whatever reason the front driver wheel rubs and messes up the tires, the pcm will throw a wrench symbol from time to time.
The vehicle lost power steering. Restarting vehicle shows a "power steering assist fault" message. Looking into this fault, I found Safety Recall 15S18, for later year vehicles. This seems to be what I experienced. I have not had it towed to a dealer for diagnosis or repair yet, as the cost for repair seems to exceed the value of the car.
The contact's daughter owns a 2010 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while parking the vehicle, the wheel locked in place, and the vehicle failed to steer as intended. The vehicle was turned off. A short time later, the vehicle was restarted, and the ABS and service track control warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was put in reverse(R) when the contact observed the steering wheel was stiff and did not steer as intended. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
When braking, if the ABS is triggered, the brake pedal begins traveling almost to the floor with significantly less braking ability. This seems to align with a known issue (ABS Valve Malfunctions and Stays Open) that has already been recalled in other models.
It is showing power steering service now and it does not go away and is difficult to steer the vehicle.
The transmission fails to shift from first to second and also is shuttering in reverse. It revs the engine and suddenly lurches forward or reverse. It becomes unsafe trying to get to traffic speed from a light or when turning. Yes the by independent service company. No it has need been inspected by a dealer or manufacturer. Warning lights came on after the first time it happened. This is a known issue with these transmissions and I believe its a manufacture failure to recall these transmisisons.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
