Been waiting for over 1 year for the replacemnet part for NHTSA Recall 23V896
The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was a misfire coming from the engine. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or a dealer. I am submitting this complaint regarding the premature failure of the LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) on my 2022 Ford F-150. The vehicle's LED daytime running light on one side has completely failed, while the corresponding light on the opposite side has significantly faded and appears to be nearing failure as well. The vehicle has approximately 60,000 miles, which is well below the expected service life of a modern vehicle and its lighting system. Ford markets the LED Daytime Running Lights as an important safety feature because they improve vehicle visibility to other drivers during daylight conditions. However, when these LEDs fail, Ford does not offer any serviceable replacement for the failed LED components. Instead, owners are required to replace the entire headlamp assembly, despite the failure being limited to the integrated LED daytime running light. The cost to replace both headlamp assemblies can exceed $3,000, creating a significant financial barrier to restoring a safety feature that Ford itself promotes as enhancing vehicle visibility and safety. There is no replaceable bulb or reasonably priced repair option available. This raises two concerns: A safety-related lighting feature is failing prematurely at relatively low vehicle mileage. The design of the headlamp assembly makes repair unnecessarily expensive because a minor LED component failure requires replacement of the entire headlamp assembly. As a result, many owners may choose to continue operating their

The contact stated that the vehicle was idling rough. The dealer was contacted and informed the contact that it was a common failure associated with the recall, but parts were not yet available for the repair. The contact was advised to keep the fuel tank more than half full and to not drive the vehicle in extremely hot weather. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving 55 MPH and hauling a loaded 12 ft. trailer in the desert, the check engine warning light illuminated, and the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was then towed to a second dealer, Jones Ford Casa Grande (2425 E Florence Blvd Ste A, Casa Grande, AZ 85194), where it was diagnosed and determined that the fuel pump had failed and needed to be replaced at the owner's expense because parts for the recall repair was not yet available. The contact was informed that reimbursement would be provided once parts became available. The contact was waiting for the dealer to confirm whether the repair was covered under the extended warranty. The vehicle was not yet repaired. Additionally, the contact stated that the fuel economy rate failed to match the advertised rate. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonab

The ac will quit on long trips and if I have fogged windows the windshield will not defog. This has happened on several occasions. Ford knows about this and has sent out a technical software update but wants customers to pay for this tps 242212.. On some vehicles the sensor is on the wrong place and ford has the mechanic to put a spacer in there. This cost $2000-$3000. Ford should take ownership and pay for the fixes. The coil is freezing up because the system is getting faulty information from the computer.
I was involved a car accident with two other co-workers (USDA-NRCS) on the job in our government issued F-150 by Ford. As were sitting still waiting to make a left turn, we were rear-ended by a 1990 Dodge van on 5/31/2023. During the impact my headrest deployed which led to me having three surgeries( ACDF procedure on C3-C5, right shoulder surgery, deviated septum) surgery and having to put in my disability retirement application in this summer since I haven't worked in three years. I want a recall on the headrest deploying in the 2022 F-150.
Adaptive cruise control applies brakes at varied levels from light to full stop when passing vehicles on the left in an open highway setting when no vehicle is present ahead. Speed range is approx 65-75mph. Other conditions are Interstate highway open road, sunny to partly cloudy, and problem occurs when passing and a longer vehicle (CL8 or other vehicle with trailer is present on the right), no other unusual or notable conditions can be remembered at this time. Other vehicles following in trail were often surprised and required immediate throttle engagement to prevent collision from following vehicles. Not all unexpected brake events produced a warning, however it appears that full brake events a pre-collision warning did appear. 3 attempts were made but dealer was not able (authorized by OEM) to perform extended drive cycles. On 4th attempt claim was stored code was found and multiple components were replaced. However, problem reoccurred in a subsequent highway trip, and there was a clear degradation of the LKA accuracy, as the LKA would no longer keep lane center and would not correct of provide departure warning until on top of after crossing lane line markings. Additionally "hands on wheel" warning would appear even though hands were on the steering wheel at the time. The vehicle is now at the dealer for the 5th attempt at diagnosis and repair. The dealer and OEM claim that installing a data logger is not possible, which I find difficult to agree with as there are clear

Notified of the Recall 23V-896 remedy/parts availability in May of 2025. Appointment scheduled to inspect and submit photos to ford for parts order on 6/3/2025. Called to follow up 9/2025, 1/2026, 5/2026. As of 6/16/2026 the repair order is still open for the parts and there has been no estimated time of delivery. The rear axle bolt on the passenger side has since broken during the wait for the remedy. Ford is taking an unreasonable amount of time to repair.
Heard rattling sound in right rear wheel, dealer confirmed rear axle bolt was broke.

The driver-side integrated factory LED headlight assembly experienced a sudden, complete failure of the vertical LED Daytime Running Light (DRL) / parking lamp strip. The vehicle is completely stock, and the electrical system has never been modified or altered. The component failed suddenly with no prior warning lights, dashboard messages, or symptoms. Safety Risk: The failure of the LED DRL significantly reduces the vehicle’s forward visibility and conspicuity to oncoming traffic, pedestrians, and cyclists, particularly during daytime hours, dusk, dawn, and inclement weather. Because only one side is illuminated, oncoming drivers may misjudge the width, position, or presence of the truck, significantly increasing the risk of a front-end or sideswipe collision. Inspection Status: The failed component is currently intact and installed on the vehicle, making it available for inspection upon request. At this time, the problem has not yet been inspected or confirmed by a dealer, independent service center, manufacturer, insurance, or law enforcement.
The panoramic moonroof glass shattered while the vehicle was parked and stationary in my driveway. There was no known impact from another object and no occupants were in the vehicle at the time of the incident. I had the moonroof sunshade closed when the glass shattered. The upper surface of the sunshade contained the shattered glass fragments, including both large and small pieces. Upon inspection, I did not observe any foreign object resting on the sunshade, inside the vehicle, or on the ground surrounding the truck that would indicate an object had struck the moonroof. Based on my observations, I am unaware of any external event that caused the glass to shatter. Vehicle mileage was approximately 54,500 miles.

Based on publicly available reports and similar complaints, multiple F-150 vehicles with the 10-speed automatic transmission appear to experience similar transmission failures at relatively low mileage under normal driving conditions.
I've spent hours trying to get Ford to fix the 23S65 hub recall. I get nowhere. Finally got a case number - # XXX-XXX. Recall started 2023 if I'm not mistaking. I've called dealer many times and they say Ford. Ford can find parts for new vehicles but not for my truck. I bought the truck to tow but I'm scared to use it. It seems Ford will never "have" parts. It feels like they want me to crash it or get stranded before fixing it. They have the parts. Just for new trucks or people whose trucks are completely broken. I want to tow but I can't. Dealer is now saying...parts sometime in Q3. That just keeps getting extented. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Transmission started having issues after fluid change and dealer states that transmission now needs a rebuilt cause the CDF drum has moved or shifted. They also stated they have seen a lot of these 10 speed transmission with the same issues.
My 2022 Ford F150 B&O Unleashed Sound System 18SPK explodes from time to time with a deafening noise (pop, then static) that makes you jump. Turning off the radio does not stop the deafening noise. In the past, at times, I was able to stop the deafening noise by switching from satellite to AM radio. This last time, nothing I tried stopped the deafening noise and I could not pull off the road to turn off the truck for 10 minutes. My ears were still hurting the next day. During the 10 minutes I had to wind down the windows which did not help much. The speakers were getting hot to the touch, especially the little tweeter speaker, with a plastic burning smell. Each subsequent time I turned the truck back on (after waiting about a half minute) the deafening noise started again. Then I waited 10-15 minutes before starting the truck and the noise stopped. My truck is available for inspection upon request. My safety and the safety of others are put at risk because you jump when the problem occurs and are distracted when endeavoring to stop the problem. The Ford dealership cannot diagnose the problem unless the deafening noise appears at the time of service. The sound system has not been inspected by the manufacturer. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the start of the deafening noise (pop, then static).
The recall is 10 months old and no remedy offered. Every time I get behind tge wheel I'm risking an injury or death of myself or someone else. I can't sell my vehicle because it would put the next owner at risk. Do I have to wait until there's an injury or death to have something done about this?
The passenger door lock/latch actuator is failing. The passenger door will not open from the outside at all. The door has to be opened from the inside. The power lock button and key fob do not unlock the passenger door. I can hear the lock/actuator trying to operate, but the door does not unlock or release from the outside handle. This issue started shortly after we had a historic/unusual cold freeze in Florida. The vehicle is kept outside, so it was exposed to the freezing temperatures. This creates a safety and security concern because the passenger door cannot be opened from the outside in an emergency, and the power lock system does not work properly. The issue has not yet been inspected by a dealer or independent repair shop. No warning lights or messages appeared before the failure. The component is still installed on the vehicle and available for inspection upon request.
I was driving my 2022 F150 during the 5/5/2026 Northern Colorado blizzard home to Nebraska with Slippery mode selected on Drive Train Selector and the truck started violently rattling and seized, causing catastrophic drivetrain failure with loss of power and perceptible steering control. I immediately pulled off I80 near my fueling stop destination and turned off the truck. I opened the hood to vent smoke and assess for fire. Once fire was not an issue, I started the ignition sequence to view any warning lights before starting motor. There were no warning lights or sensors indicating loss of fluids or abnormal temperatures noted in oil or transmission. The motor started and then I tried shifting through the transmission. It would engage but not move forward in any of the Drive Train Selector settings. I could travel in reverse and place in neutral, but I could not manually move forward or back when I pushed. I called Ford Roadside Assistance for towing and was flat-bedded to Sterling Korf Ford where catastrophic front end differential and assembly was noted. I had an experience leaving my work parking lot 2/27/2026, and have a malfunction warning on my vehicle phone app. That event was corrected by stopping and rotating through the Drive Train Selector switch out of 4x4 to 2H. I had 100K mile full service at Greeley, CO, Ford in July 2025 with all fluids flushed and filled and multipoint inspection. I feel this is a mechanical design flaw in the Integrated Wheel End (IWE). The contact stated that the failure occurred while the cruise control was set at 76–77 MPH, however the vehicle's speed increased to 100 MPH. The brake pedal was depressed, however the vehicle failed to stop. The contact pressed an unknown button on the steering wheel and the vehicle eventually stopped. The contact stated that when the vehicle stopped, the engine loudly. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact turned the vehicle off because the vehicle idled unusally loud. I purchased my truck brand new in July 2022 from Auto Saver Ford in New York. Roughly between 5000 and 10,000 miles at a certain speed the 10 R 80 transmission in my truck would unexpectedly violently slam into a lower gear, causing my truck immediately go to a slower speed, and that I was not ready for. I brought it back multiple times to the dealership under warranty. They told me they fixed the problem however, I continue to have the same issues. Ford is telling me now they will not fix it even though I do have confirmation from a Ford dealer that the Park Paul in the Transmission is damaged and can cause the vehicle to slam into park even if I’m doing 70 miles an hour on the highway. There was an initial recall done however the my truck was made at the Kentucky truck plant where the issue was initiated. However, Ford claims there were specific dates they noted. They had issues building these transmissions and my truck missed the deadline by one month even though I’m having the same exact problems.

25SB6/25V731 - Safety Recall I have been attempting to remedy this safety recall involving rear tail and reverse lights on my 2022 Ford Lightling Lariat without success. Reverse lights and tail lights stopped working after flickering and moisture was detected in lens. I have called Ford opened up a case and visited local Ford dealership for assistance. Neither Ford or local dealer seems to know when "Part Kit" will be available. The Ford website and NHTSA report claim "Q1-2026" availability. This is a dangerous situation with reverse lights not working and as a result the vehicle will not pass a NYS inspection.
Tail light on the drivers side was hyper flashing and upon inspection found that it is not working. When I removed the tail light to replace the bulb I noticed that the whole tail light assembly was full of water. The bulb is inside a housing that is inaccessible, so bulb cannot be replaced without replacing the whole tail light assembly. Leaking tail light assembly causing failure of turn signals or brake lights is a serious safety hazard and can cause an accident. Additional safety risk if BLIS system fails and driver is not aware that it isn’t working.
My vehicle was subject to Recall FSA 23S65, which addresses a defect involving the rear axle hub bolt. I brought the vehicle to a Ford-authorized dealership for the recall repair; however, the repair was not properly completed. The rear axle hub bolt subsequently failed, confirming that the recall defect was not adequately remedied. After the bolt failure, I returned the vehicle to the dealership, where technicians stated that the differential is now damaged. They claim that an axle bearing failed independently and dispersed metal contaminants throughout the differential, characterizing this as a coincidence unrelated to the recall issue. However, upon further review by a mechanic, it appears far more likely that the axle bolt failure directly caused or contributed to the bearing failure and resulting differential damage. The vehicle now produces a humming noise while driving, and I have been strongly advised that it is unsafe to operate. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this matter with both the dealership and Ford Motor Company, I have been unable to obtain a satisfactory response or corrective action. This situation raises serious concerns regarding the adequacy of the recall repair and the resulting safety risk.
See attached document for complaint. I have received several notices concerning this recall, dating back a little over a year. I have called the customer service department several times in the past year. To date, no "fix" is available on a defect that can cause a loss of fuel pressure and flow resulting in a possible engine stall while driving. "An engine stall while driving increases the risk of a crash" unquote from the recall notice. HOW IS A "FIX" NOT AVAILABLE AFTER OVER A YEAR OF NOTICE OF DEFECT! Between my husband and myself, we have bought dozens (no exaggeration) of Ford vehicles (mostly new), but we are seriously doubting our purchase of my 2022 F-150 after this recall. I am continuously driving my [XXX] mother (who walks with a walker) to doctor appointments and errands in my truck. How would I safely assist my [XXX] mother, with a walker, off the middle of a highway if my truck stalls out??? We also tow a trailer with my truck at times. How would we safely pull off a highway with a loaded trailer??? I also had called the Customer Relations Center (1-800-392-3673) on February 23, 2026 and was told the Engineering Department has not determined a repair as of that date. My dealer, Sarchione Ford of Randolph, again checked on the recall "fix" while my truck was in for an oil change on March 6, 2026. No "fix" date was available. Fords' inability to "fix" a serious defect as this, is very troublesome and totally unacceptable. Please contact me concerning this potentia
Hard shifts from 10R80 Transmission in 2022 f150, I’ve had a lot of hard shifts especially in lower gears, clunking sounds and skipping gears every so often, the 10R80 transmission should be recalled in all fords and have the updated parts in them, it is unacceptable to have these kind of trucks transmission failing at 70,000 miles. There is tons of people complaining about this. Thank you
Issue 1: During snow conditions, the windshield wiper arms have detached from the linkage pivot on two separate occasions while in operation. This creates an immediate loss of visibility and a significant safety hazard while driving. In both instances, the detached wiper arm had to be retrieved and manually reinstalled. On one occasion, the arm could not be reinstalled in the field, leaving the vehicle without functional wipers. The component should be available for inspection upon request. The first occurrence happened on Jan 3, 2025. The most recent was Feb 2026. Issue 2: The windshield wipers are currently inoperable. When activated, the wipers move slightly upward (approximately 4–6 inches from the bottom of the windshield), then stall and begin to stutter/twitch repeatedly before stopping completely. There is no visible external damage to the linkage. This condition renders the wipers ineffective and unusable. The issue has occurred during active snowfall, making the vehicle unsafe to operate due to loss of visibility. No prior warning lights or messages were observed before the failure. The issue began suddenly, and was not a slow failure. It also occurred the day after a software update, which I noted because of the changed radio and alarm settings in the vehicle. I believe this was April 14th or 15th. By proximity of the app update, this raises the concern of the issue being related to the app. Based on research, there are multiple current and prior recalls involving

Manufacturer Recall Number: 25S75 NHTSA Recall Number: 25V455 This recall has been open since July 8th, 2025 with no updates from Ford or the NHTSA. I am concerned because there is an increased risk of crash at failure, and the bulletin says that the risk is greater in high temperatures. I drive primarily in Texas and the Southwest United States. I have contacted my dealership every few months and they said they have no further information or ways to rectify the situation. I spoke to an NHTSA representative who said that I needed to file a report on this site to initiate an investigation since this recall has been open for so long. Reference #: XXX. It seems that Ford should have been able to access fuel pumps for replacement within the last 9 months. I just don't want to wait until it is too late to address. Submitted the vehicle for recall repairs under recalls 25v315, 25v455, 25v104 and 25v517. Maintenance was scheduled to last less than a day. When I returned for the vehicle, I was informed the update had caused several module components to "brick." They informed me they had to receive authority from form to order new components and attempts another repair. I called March 17 for an update and was told the new components bricked again and that the issue was elevated to Ford engineering. Called Ford customer service and was given a case number [XXX]. Call Ford customer service March 30 and was told there is no update, fix or estimate of when a repair might be available. My truck has harsh shifting and gets to 3,000 RPM sometimes before it shifts. There is a loud rattle when my car is low acceleration or deceleration when coming to a stop.
This is in reference to recall #23S65. I have been to two different Ford Service Centers over the last 2 years (2024 thru 2026). NO Ford service center has completed recall #23S65 on my 2022 F150. The Ford service centers talks about waiting for parts on order. However, the parts NEVER arrive. How can you accomplish a recall with no parts?? See attached document for complaint. I am writing with concern that a safety recall on my vehicle has not been corrected by Ford. Please see enclosed recall notice, dated July 2025. Since receiving the notice, I have not been notified to have the vehicle repaired and a recent online check for my VIN number indicated no schedule to complete the recall repair. In my opinion, nine months is too long a delay in correcting a major defect in the vehicle that could cause grave serious injury or death. I would like the repair to be completed immediately for the safety of my family and my well-being.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
