The car lost ALL POWER and the ability to accelerate for more than 10 seconds. Luckily cars coming form across moved to the side to not hit me. I was stuck in the middle of the intersection. I attempted to shift manually in a panic and the car slammed really hard in likely 1st gear, red-lineed for several seconds then inched forward enough to pull to the side. I was able to proceed forward stuck in 7th gear, where the car remained stuck in that gear. This was terrifying as I had ZERO ability to move forward, the engine was revving but no gears were available
Fuel tank purge valve issue causing multiple idling and performance issues, eventually resulted in break down. Tank was found to be imploded upon mechanical inspection.
Transmission failure requiring replacement
Has high fuel pressure constantly and I have changed several parts for the fuel system and has it running to rich
I am aware of the cam phase issue with 2017-2020 F150s 3.5 Eco Boost (also effected my 2016). I have 89K miles and I took it to the dealership as my cam phasers are failing and making the engine loud and ready to fail. The repair bill is 4K and I called Ford Customer Care - who does not Care. I had purchased extended warranty, but they are stating it is not covered. This is the 2nd F150 I have owned with the problem. Ford service is stating they see "a lot" of these - Ford needs to make this right for their consumers.
Issue was with the boat trailer tire for VIN 405119BA2LC000663. Goodyear Marathon, ST205/75R14, DOT [XXX], 8/32 tread remaining. Steel belt failure. Tires pressure was set to 40 psi before trip. Failure occurred after 45 minutes on the highway traveling at 65 mph. Felt a bad vibration, then loud bang when air came out of tire. This tire is only 8 years old. I replace them at 10 years. My 2019 F150 transmission will downshift very harsh into first gear like the truck nose dives and will slam back into fourth after, like the transmission loses power. I have had it at the dealer when it was still in warranty and they had it for like two weeks and then said it was the throttle body but that definitely never fixed it. Since I am out of warranty I just learned to live with the issue for last couple of years and now I see there is a recall for this issue but my truck doesn’t fall under the recall or something. Trying to get help with fixing this issue.

This afternoon while getting ready to leave church, I pulled my truck forward about 10 feet with no issues in order to load some things in the truck bed before taking off. The truck started up just fine, and the starter sounded just as strong as it always does, indicating the battery was of good health. Upon starting the vehicle less than 5 minutes later the engine would not start due to a dead battery - or so that's what the symptoms led me to believe anyway. I heard some clicks, but no starter motor activity, then saw a warning on my radio screen stating "turn ignition off or start engine." This could have been at a stoplight, leaving me as a stalled vehicle in the middle of the road had it happened in conjunction with the auto start/stop that shuts off the engine when stopped for a short period of time. I have not yet taken the truck into a dealership to have this issue looked at. This appears to be a resurfacing problem from about 2 years ago when I had electrical issues where my radio would not turn off as I got to work one morning - even though the ignition had been turned off and the driver door was open. The radio was still running when I got back to the truck in the afternoon. I was able to drive home that day, but with limited functionality of the truck. It was during a heavy rain, and the rear brake lights would not work, and the windshield wipers would not turn on. When I went down the next morning to take it into the dealership, I had to get it jump started, as t

My truck's gas pedal does not always accelerate the truck. By playing lightly with the accelerator I can usually keep the truck accelerating. If I press the accelerator to the floorboard, the truck just stops, so I never do that. Maybe 3 times in 4 years. Several times I have been on a freeway and my truck comes to a complete stop. Very Scary! My truck has had this behavior since I first bought it. Planet Ford told me repeatedly that it was due to the way I drove. Called Ford and they were no help. I finally gave up.
I have a 2019 ford f150 lariat with the 3.5 ecoboost engine. Ford issued a customer satisfaction with the F150’s regarding faulty camphasers. Ford sent this out to every owner that had a F150 made from april 15, 2019 to November 30, 2019. My specific truck was made in December 21, 2018. My truck’s vin number was not attached to that customer satisfaction program 21N03, but my truck has that exact problem. I took it to the local Ford dealership July 30, 2024 where they found I had faulty camphasers and are replacing them right now. I am currently trying to contact Ford to figure out why my truck was not notified. And not have to pay out of pocket for a problem Ford caused and created.

The transmission on this vehicle regularly hesitates, lurches and shifts gears unexpectedly. I have had multiple incidents of not being able to accelerate without a delay while in traffic and once the transmission downshifted incorrectly on the freeway which nearly caused me to lose control of the vehicle. The unexpected lack of acceleration while in live traffic and the erratic gear shifting on the highway is a safety hazard for me and for other drivers on the road.
When we come to a complete stop and going at highway speed the transmission slips from 10th gear to 1st gear while driving then through other gears until it catches back up to the correct gear. The whole truck will stall until the correct gear is found causing us to possibly be hit
Tail gate will not latch/lock properly. Tail gate will not latch into the closed position when pushed closed, and sometimes only partially latches. This may allow the cargo to fall on the road, putting other motorists in danger. Tail gate external latch handle remains in the open position and does not properly retract under spring pressure to the unopen position after manually opening. Tail gate latch handle must be forcibly manually closed with significant pressure to allow the tail gate to latch closed on the two side plate bosses. With out this manually effort, tail gate lock will not engage the locking bosses. If one is not careful to ensure full retraction the tail gate lock may not fully latch and could open while driving. I have Lubricated the latch handle mechanism latch locking mechanism and all joints, with no significant improvement. Defect or tolerance problem in latch mechanism is very likely. Prior recall on model year F-150’s have reported very similar problem
Safety Concerns Regarding F150 10-Speed Transmissions: oI am deeply concerned about the safety of my F150 due to reports of accidents related to faulty 10-speed transmissions. oThe risk of sudden downshifting to 1st gear, potentially causing loss of control, poses a serious threat to me, my passengers, and other road users. oFord must address this issue promptly to ensure the safety of its customers. Transmission overheats while towing rated camper. Engine sounds like a loud sewing machine when first starting. Fear engine may explode.

While driving, rpms went high, speed dramatically decreased suddenly as transmission suddenly and without warning began changing gear. as soon as possible, I pulled into a local convenience store where I had no transmission gears at all ( 1st thru reverse ). Looking under my vehicle, I noted a stream of transmission fluid running down the parking lot. The incident caused an extremely dangerous situation as I was traveling on a major, busy 4 lane highway. Vehicle was towed to a prominent ford dealer, where a “ blown out transmission cooler fitting “ was found. “Wrench” light came on dash as vehicle began to decelerate. Transmission had similar issues regarding loss of power and gear changing issues no fewer than 3 times after this.
Certain 2019 f-150 ford models are recalled for the SAME issue I am having but my model truck is not in the recal. For the same exact isssue
The transmission surges forwarded upon placing in drive during a cold startup. during driving loses power and will not engage. when this happens the gas paddle has to released so that the transmission can regain power. check engine light came on. Truck was inspected by ford dealership and was informed that the truck needs a new transmission after diagnostic was preformed.
The cam phasers on my 2019 F-150 recently starting making a rattling noise on cold starts. The dealership is quoting a replacement for $4500. I received Customer Satisfaction Program 21B10, 21N03, and 21N08 updates in the mail in 2021 from Ford to have the cam phasers replaced. The recall/replacement program was extended from 2022 to January 1, 2023. Unfortunately I've had my truck in for service multiple times and was told to not replace the cam phasers if there isn't an issue. Now there is an issue after the expiration and I'm being asked to pay out of pocket.

Cam Phasers went bad, was told that while some vehicles from other factories feel under an extended warranty this one did not although its the same make and model for what appears to be a widespread issue.
Transmission has been horrible for a couple of years, would down shift on its on while on highway at high speeds. Also would not not allow you to accelerate randomly nearly causing numerous accidents.
Vehical shifts hard and surges forward during shifts. After sitting for a least 8 hours, the shifting will stick at 7th gear and then cycle between 1st and 7th until finally issuing a power train warning symbol (wrench). Other times it stays in 7th gear at a complete stop. This causes a slow pull out at intersections ( pulling out in 7th gear) until it slams into 3rd gear and surges forward.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 75 MPH over a bump, the vehicle made an abnormally loud banging sound. My wife was driving about 40 mph and the emergency collision alarm came on causing the vehicle to abruptly try to stop. San alarm went off in the dash indicating an imminent crash causing my wife to almost lose control of the vehicle. There was no vehicle in front of us and none in the opposing lane or behind us to trigger this response. My wife speculated maybe a bird flew across in front of us but I dodn,t see that. it was very alarming and almost caused her to lose control of the vehicle. I had this happen to me driving alone at about 40 mph. The only difference , there was a vehicle in front of m E but I was not close enough to trigger this safety alarm. The vehicle in front of me was not stopped and I was not close enough to trigger this response. I was at least4 or 5 car lengths away doing 40 mph. and they were traveling about the same speed. No rapid approach issue...

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
