I have a problem with my truck with the Molded Lead Frame. It is shifting erratically and not shifting below 3rd gear. I has an open recall for it, 26N04, but Ford won't perform the service because they are not getting the correct code from the computer system. So I am now forced to drive this truck in this unsafe condition until I get the correct codes.

I own a 2016 Ford F-150 involved in Safety Recall 26S28. The vehicle suffered an unexpected downshift and also temporarily locked into 5th gear. The dealership confirmed the transmission lead frame failed. Ford is denying coverage because the failure registered as code P0717 (Input Sensor) instead of an Output Sensor code, even though both sensors are manufactured as a single, un-severable piece on the exact same recalled lead frame part. Beacuse my sensor that is housed within the exact same lead frame broke down, instead of other sensors, Ford is denying to cover the cost. The issue is that the lead frames are place in a location that they get very hot and can become brittle over time. Causing any wire or sensor housed within it to become under extreme stress and potentially fail. I dont understnad how Ford can say some sensors inside the lead frame are covered but others inside the very same part are not. My truck is currently in the dealership and the technician has informed me that this lead frame part is bad. I did have the wrench light illuminate in my truck and the PO717 trouble code was present. Because an abrupt downship can occur, this is a safety risk with known reported injuries already reported via the recal. Recall #26S28 Case # with Ford Motor COmpany is CXH-08688952

I have had issues with my door locks one by one for the last year until now all of them have failed and no longer work. I have mentioned this issue multiple times at Bob Tomes Ford in McKinney Texas the last few times and got prices for the repair but it is a bit pricey. Recently I have just found out that Ford had campaign 20M04 to address these bad door lock actuator latches but the car has to be under 10 years old and under 150,000 miles. This service I am currently at the service department finally mentioned it to me and advised that I am out of the free repair window as I am now just over the 10 years and mileage and it will now be $2,400 dollars to repair this. I never received any kind of mailing announcing this recall campaign or was never told about it the numerous times I have been into the dealer in the past to bring my vehicle in for basic maintenance like I am usually told about other recalls. My very last trip here I was under the covered time period and nothing was said to me after I mentioned the door locks starting to go bad. I feel Ford and this dealership Bob Tomes Ford is deliberatly not telling customers about this so they do not have to repair it until the consumer will have to pay for the fix. This is incredible deceitful on Ford and the dealerships part and I feel that something should be done about this

On July 6th, I was in my 2016 Ford F-150 at a stoplight after driving 200 miles in mountainous roads when my brake pedal got soft and went to the floor. I immediately shifted into neutral and waited for the light to turn so I could ease into a parking lot. Once parked, I noticed fluid on the ground and on the inside of my front passenger tire. I called for a tow and had it sent to a local repair shop. The repair shop told me that the right front brake line failed causing loss of brake fluid. The cost of the repair was $495.00. When I called the local Ford dealership they told me that they could schedule me for July 31, 2026. I had the local repair shop do the repair. I did not have a brake fluid warning light come on while I was in the truck. My truck has 95,262 miles on it at the time of this incident.

Our rear view (back up) camera on our 2016 Ford F-150 is not working properly. It gives a distorted image or not image at all or sometimes works. Our truck only has approximately 60,000 and this should not be happening. This is available upon inspection. Matter of fact, Mel Hambelton Ford dealership inspected it and told us "I'm sorry; there is no recall on your VIN #". I do not know how there isn't! My safety concern is that this can work when reverse and go out at any moment and potentially cause a crash. Not to mention, we bought this truck brand new and expect items to last as we take care of our stuff. This has been going on for at least the last 6 months and as I google and do my own review we are NOT the only people having this problem with our rear view cameras on our 2016 Ford F-150. We need a recall. We have a recall on our 2016 Ford Flex rear view camera and that is working just fine. We had no warning lights or messages in our F-150 it just started acting up one day and not working

My 2016 Ford F-150 (VIN [XXX]) experienced an intermittent failure involving the transmission range sensor system. While driving, the vehicle displayed a check engine light and a “See Service Manual” message. The truck became noticeably underpowered. When shifted into Reverse, the transmission engaged harshly and the PRNDL (gear position indicator) disappeared from the instrument cluster. The backup camera also became inoperative. After shutting the vehicle off, it would not restart. Electrical accessories and the instrument cluster remained functional, but the engine would not crank. After sitting for a period of time, the vehicle eventually restarted and the PRNDL display returned. The same failure occurred on three separate occasions within approximately 24 hours, including while arriving at a Ford dealership for service. The failure creates a safety concern because the vehicle can unexpectedly become unable to start, loses indication of the selected gear, and may experience transmission-related issues while being operated. The vehicle is currently unreliable for transportation and could leave occupants stranded. An independent repair facility scanned the vehicle and documented DTCs P0706 (Transmission Range Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance), P0707 (Transmission Range Sensor A Circuit Low), P1702 (Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Intermittent), and P1921 (Transmission Range Signal). We will need to have someone tow the car once there is a repair available, however, in the mean time, we need a loaner/replacement truck. We called the number on the form, but they could not help with a failed vehicle and we called the manufacturer, but there is no button for the vehicle is failed and we need help. It hung up on us because they don't have a fix for the defect, there is nothing on the warning about what to do when the vehicle fails and you don't yet have a fix.

2016 Ford F-150 affected by Ford recall 26S28 / NHTSA 26V237. Vehicle experienced a sudden unintended downshift while driving on the freeway. The event caused abrupt deceleration and rear tire squeal, consistent with rear wheel speed reduction. A transmission-related diagnostic trouble code is currently stored and has not been cleared. Ford recall lookup shows no remedy currently available. I am concerned the vehicle is unsafe to drive while awaiting the final remedy.

My 2016 Ford F-150 is currently subject to Recall 26S28 / NHTSA Recall 26V237. Prior to the recall remedy becoming available, the vehicle began experiencing erratic transmission shifting and illuminated the check engine light, wrench symbol, and codes P0720 and P0722 were present. I brought the vehicle to an authorized Ford dealership for diagnosis. The dealership documented that the vehicle was experiencing erratic shifting and was considered not drivable. The technician determined that the erratic shifting condition was related to DTCs P0720 and P0722 and recommended replacement of the transmission lead frame/conductor plate. The technician also noted the need for additional diagnostics involving the Output Speed Sensor (OSS) circuit within the transmission. The vehicle remains available for inspection at the dealership. This condition created a safety concern because the transmission was shifting erratically and the vehicle could not be relied upon for normal operation. Unpredictable transmission behavior creates a risk during acceleration, merging, highway travel, and other driving situations where consistent vehicle response is required. At the time, I was preparing for a cross-country military PCS move and did not believe the vehicle was safe or reliable to drive long distance. The problem was confirmed by an authorized Ford dealership who documented the condition, diagnostic codes, and repair recommendation. The findings were provided to Ford Motor Company through Corp

Our truck was smoking from the exhaust and we took it to the local Ford service department. They determined the oil pan is leaking, there is a coolant leak from the engine, requiring a new engine, and also the need for turbos. These are the EXACT issues that are included in this service bulletin making dealerships aware. If this is such a widespread problem with these trucks, why is there not a recall to make proper repairs?

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
