As I was driving home from the grocery store, the car started to slow down and violently shook to a stop before shutting off. Thankfully, I could restart the car enough times, and the same experience happened every time so that I could make it home safely with my hazard flashers on. Once at home, the car didn't allow me to charge it from my garage and it has been a brick even after replacing the water pump, which I thought could have been the issue, but it was not.

There has been no OTA software updates issued to this date for my vehicle. I'm currently on 2.0 awaiting 2.2 update. Because of this I still have issues with braking, rolling while in park, and random and unexpected shutdowns of the vehicle while driving. Complete car system failure, recently when my car locked out the technician came out and replaced the 12v battery and clean out electrical connectors and still car doesn't start. I pressed the brake to wake/start the car and the car shuts down after trying to start. The wipers wipe a couple times while it boots up and then the car shuts off. The car is charged to 80% . THIS IS A VERY UNSAFE VEHICLE

Vehicle was on software version 2.0 which solely contributed to this problem. I had a front passenger tire have a catastrophic failure and blow out on me while driving, this causes the car to pull hard to the right, into a concrete wall. Compounding this problem was I let off the throttle and the regen braking never kicked in to slow the car down. Software version 2.0 was known to be flawed and cause excessive tire wear and regen braking issues, which is what I believe happened. The result of the crash was minor cosmetic flaws, but due to the inability to gather parts the insurance company deemed the vehicle a total loss. There have been several other occurrences of this happening and I believe the car is a serious safety hazard to those who drive it and others on the road.

1. The HOLD hill feature for the brakes is now not working. After the first software update it started to work but now since the second recent software update, the "hold" feature stopped working and the car slides backwards causing me to slam on the brakes creating extreme safety concerns for myself (the driver and my daughter who I don't allow in the car anymore). There were no warning lights for this problem which occurred when I bought the car before the first software update and again after the most recent update. The manufacturer no longer exists to check our cars which are supposed to be under warranty. I do not trust my safety or anyone elses in this car anymore. 2. Electrical system- (All summer 2024) the car overheats and stops working completely when the temperature is in the high 90's. The car loses power and slows down to a complete stop. I was in the middle of the road when this happened and had to wait for over an hour for it to cool down to restart on multiple dates in the summer; I stopped driving it when I realized it was the heat. I can no longer drive it when the weather is hot which occurred throughout the LA summer. 3. Malfunctioning Seatbelt:11/1/2024 to present-the back right seat belt does not retract automatically and was this way whenever my daughter was in the car. I thought she had done something to it to make it stop working but I have now found out many Fisker owners have experienced the same problem. The right seatbelt is non-functioning and not

The Fisker Ocean has been involved with several recalls. The company is now in chapter 11. The NHTSA has required Fisker to repair several of these issues. Fisker has supplied some parts but labor was not included. In order to correct the issues with the recall I had to pay out of my pocket. In addition, after a little over 1 year I had to replace a faulty battery. The total cost for all these repairs was $1,258.29. I need help from the NHTSA to recover these costs. A copy of the receipt and the repairs done are attached.

September 25th 2024 1600 hrs. Returning home from the grocery store, coming to a complete stop in heavy traffic at a traffic light the vehicle shifted into park by itself and turned off by itself, effectively disabling itself and leaving me stranded at the intersection. The vehicle would not restart causing a traffic jam. After a couple more attempts to restart the vehicle it finally enabled itself and I continued driving home without further incident. No warnings visual of audio were given during the event.

The main infotainment screen does not function. The car reboots itself every 5-6 minutes while driving. This temporarily disables all the seat sensors, signals or anything that requires electrical. The regenerative braking is also disabled. Furthermore, I can not control any Heat, AC, defrosters, which is extremely dangerous during the winter season.

The Center Panel commonly known as ICC does not boot up normally. The ICC basically is the central computer of the vehicle which controls all ADAS systems, HVAC, Charging, Audio and all connectivity. Since the ICC screen is blank, there is no way of controlling any of the above mentioned functions. Sometimes the HVAC blows air at 100°F and sometimes at 30°F. It also gets foggy inside the vehicle with no apparent way to defog thereby making the vehicle inoperable. Furthermore the Charging of the battery becomes stupendous because it automatically goes down to charging at 8A which takes more than 24 hours to charge.

The Fisker Ocean has a central control and monitoring screen that includes controls and settings that impact safety. This failed and is now unusable. The central screen includes regenerative braking settings, hands free phone feature, and blind spot warning lights. It also includes the climate control settings in the car to ensure one can have heat in cold temperatures and AC in hot temperatures. It also controls the ADAS settings for collision detection. With a failed control and monitoring screen all of these are unavailable impairing safe driving and increasing the likelihood of an accident. This is a common problem with the Fisker Ocean impacting safety that needs to be addressed.

Was driving at approx 40 mph, car shut off completely but was able to get off to the side of a main road. No one was injured and no accident, however, this car is an absolute mess, is completely unsafe and none of them should be on roads, anywhere. I am supposed to get a recall OTA update, but I have no connectivity, no one can fix it, and I cannot get the necessary recall update. However, I do not trust that OTA even if I could get it. Some owners are getting this necessary OTA pushed to their vehicles and it is bricking them. Everything with these cars should be investigated, including, American Leasing and FOA (Fisker Owners Association) as they are collaborating with each other to push these OTAs to peoples vehicles, and neither of them are car makers, manufacturers, or auto companies.

Cannot get necessary OTA update to address recall. All of these vehicles are supposed to get OTA 2.2 to address recalls, which I cannot receive due to no connectivity. My car died while driving, battery died twice, I have no blind spot monitoring, car doesn’t shift into gear on occasion, I feel completely unsafe driving it and it could easily kill myself and others if I continue to use it. As far as the update, there are 2 “organizations” pushing the required 2.2 OTA update to consumer’s vehicles, the FOA (Fisker Owners Association) and American Lease, neither of which are car manufacturers, car companies, or software companies, the OTAs they are pushing to owners vehicles are in some cases bricking them making them un driveable, and even less safe. These 2 organizations should not be pushing any software updates to any other vehicles besides their own and should be investigated.

Two of the three options do not work on my vehicle at all. The third option, the battery operated remote, only works if you continuously install a new battery. I have been locked out of my vehicle three times now. The battery powered remotes have been a known issue since receiving the car. In summary, the OTA 2.2 has made a car which was operational to non-operational. Since the Fisker is bankrupt, there is no way to contact them or any other relevant authorities to fix my car. While my 2023 Fisker Ocean One was parked in my garage in the beginning of October, the vehicle received a Over-The-Air Software Update to Fisker OS v2.2, in order to align the car with a NHTSA recall (NHTSA campaign 24V623, Safety Recall Campaign TSB11062408). I was away for a few days when this OTA happened automatically. When I returned Oct. 6, the car's keyfob was unresponsive, and I was unable to unlock the car. I managed to open the vehicle's rear hatch using the Fisker smartphone app, and tried to start vehicle from front seat, with no success. Opening the driver door triggered the alarm. Since then, Fisker technicians have been unable to recover the car, having tried numerous times to re-install OTA software, and come in person to use diagnostic software tool to re-install. They confirmed with me that many other owners have experienced this "bricking" of the Fisker Ocean. My car was also inspected by my insurance company, USAA, who did not have the expertise to evaluate, nor could provide a technician recommendation to do diagnostics. Vehicle has now been inoperable since October 6th. Techs tell me that "the PKC module and key fob need replacing, plus software 2.2 reinstalled, and this should be a warranty repair". I cannot locate any warranty service providers, nor find any solution or service technicians who can address this "bricking" . A few times when I drive to a stop light/sign, the SUV engages the parking brake without my input, unlocks the door and prevents the vehicle from being driven, unless I reengage the gear back to drive. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it does not work right away and takes a few times to shift the gear. Seems to be getting worst. One time on 10/17/2024 at my work parking lot, I forced the SUV to drive by stepping firmly on the accelerator while brakes are still gripping the rotor. The EV moved slowly forward, stalled and refused to reverse. There were a couple of vehicles behind me waiting for me to move out of their way. It took a while but few minutes later, it was back to normal. I'm able to disengage the brake for some reason and drive. This isn't the first time that this happened, although this is my worst experience with the EV at this time.In addition, I have other problems with the vehicle relating to recalls. I kept getting letters from Fisker about the recalls and told me to report them to you. I'm unable to contact manufacturer as their phone number doesn't work. Fisker has filed for bankruptcy. The recalls are mostly same as being reported by other owners of these vehicles.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
