I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Following an attempted OTA software update for the safety recall, I have noticed that the pedestrian alert noises are missing, which poses a significant safety risk not only for those around the car but also for the occupants inside the vehicle. This situation is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the vehicle’s safety features. Moreover, it has come to my attention that a concerning number of owners have reported their vehicles as undrivable following OTA updates, with 2%-5% of vehicles experiencing such issues weekly. The current 48-hour update window renders my car unusable, and now I require another session, an additional 48 hours to complete the update only adds to my frustration. Based on owner surveys, it appears that complete updates, including the correct sounds, have been successfully implemented in less than 30% of vehicles attempted. Given these concerns, I urge you to look into the situation with my vehicle and the entire process. I should not have to pay out of pocket for the safety recall and restored function of pedestrian alert noises, nor the cost of a rental car. Thank you for your attention to this critical matter.

Just prior to my scheduled appointment for the recalled water pump replacement I received an email from Newport Fisker that they were unable to provide work free of charge due to a change imposed by the trustee. I decided to go ahead with my replacement, as I had a malfunction with the 12-volt battery that caused the car to go into limp mode after a full charge. I managed to get the car in gear long enough to get the car to Newport Fisker, where they were able to fix the problem (a loose connection) and swap out the recalled water pump. I also elected to have the 2.2 update done there, as the repair shop is 1.5 to 2 hours away from where I live, depending upon traffic, and I was unsure of the efficacy of an OTA update. I had received an OTA update a few weeks after taking delivery of the car, but at that time it was parked outside, closer to our internet connection. The car is now garaged and not as close to the connection as it was before. I have no complaints with regard to Newport Fisker; they told me the charges before I took it in and that is what I paid out of pocket. My complaint is with the trustee, or whomever is in charge of the recall process, as I should not have had to pay out of pocket at all. It appears as if the trustee changed the terms of the recall reimbursement with Newport Fisker after I had made my appointment. I was told I could reschedule my appointment when the trustee changed the terms back, but because the car had been functioning in limp mode I did
I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Specifically, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in my vehicle, which has become increasingly distracting and, frankly, dangerous due to an incomplete or failed 2.2 Over-The-Air (OTA) update is a huge concern. As a responsible driver, I value the safety of not only myself but also those around me, and this situation and others we constantly hear about make me question the process of the recall. Every week, a number of vehicles are reported as undrivable post-OTA updates, with statistics indicating that approximately 2%-5% of owners experience this issue. With 48-hour update windows, my vehicle becomes unusable for an extended period, which is highly inconvenient and concerning. Moreover, I've noted that partial updates are expected, potentially extending this downtime by another 48 hours. I have had a partial update that has left my vehicle in worse shape than before, what could happen if the process is tried again? This inconsistent performance is not only frustrating, but also poses a serious inconvenience to scheduling and executing such a process. Owner surveys suggest that comprehensive updates, which should resolve these issues, have been successfully completed in under 30% of vehicles which were attempted. Additionally, the alarming figures shared indicate that only around 10% of the fleet has been updated i

ADAS software never installed as promised and results on frequent ALARMS and WARNING LIGHTS while driving - loud distraction. Due to the high cost of preinstallation testing it will likely never be corrected. Drivers door handle sticks - recalled item never corrected. Water pump failure creating limp mode, recalled item repair never initiated. 12V battery premature failure warranty item - cost $270 for replacement and self install. Key fob does not perform as expected - creating safety and access issues. These are ongoing issues - caught in the bankruptcy finger point - but nothing is being fixed. The Fisker's should be in jail for fraud, embezzlement, etc. This is the second instance of him deceiving buyers.
Water pump was replaced per recall, but now the car is inoperable. The instrument cluster says "battery system failure service required" and the car will not shift into drive mode"
Water pump recall
There has been several safety recalls for my vehicle that was supposed to be fixed by software updates I cannot drve my vehicle, i have no access to service and no access to these updates
Pump recall (Recall No 24V865) work was done. I paid $340.00 out of pocket for labor to install the [ump. Subsequently, through Fisker Owners Association, I learned that the liquidating trustee decided that the maximum reimbursement is $175.00. Yet, there is no mechanism for filing for and obtaining the refund promised. The fix for the sudden jerking forward of the car with it hits a bump is supposed to be fixed with 2.2 software update. As of the time of filing of this complaint, I have heard nothing from the liquidating trustee as to when this will be installed to my vehicle. I have replaced my old batter with a new one in anticipation of the update.
There are 4 open recalls on my vehicle, yet 0 (none) have been addressed. The Fisker Owners Association (FOA) has been trying there best, but I have some serious safety issues that need to be addressed. 1) I am still on 2.0 on the OTA software, 2.1 and 2.2 address 2/4 of the recalls, and was supposed to be installed by the end of the 2024, it was not. 2) The water pump on my car is part of th 3rd recall, if it fails my car becomes ‘bricked’ 3) My door handles are defective and 2 out of 4 do not open from the outside, this the 4th safety recall that has not been addressed. Help! what can I do to get these important safety issues addressd ?
I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Multiple attempts of this safety recall have been scheduled over the past several weeks for my vehicle, but the update has yet to be completed. As an owner who values safety and reliability, I am increasingly concerned about the unresolved safety issues that were supposed to be addressed with this software update. To date, I have been disappointed to learn that each week brings reports from fellow vehicle owners indicating that their cars have become undrivable following these updates, with a concerning failure rate of approximately 2% to 5%. This is unacceptable for any customer who relies on their vehicle for daily transportation. Additionally, the lengthy 48-hour windows during which our cars become unusable only exacerbate the frustration and inconvenience faced by owners. The expectation of partial updates, followed by yet another potential 48-hour downtime, is not a practical solution. Furthermore, the feedback from owner surveys suggests that complete updates, which should ideally resolve these issues, have only succeeded in under 30% of attempted vehicles. This raises serious questions about the efficacy of the OTA update process and its implementation. I was also alarmed to learn that after five weeks of attempts, only about 10% of the fleet—approximately 300 vehicles—have been successfully updated, despite over 800
Original key fob is no longer working. After the complete 2.2 update the range has dramatically dropped.
Sometimes doors lock and can’t open it, symptom warning lights keep coming on and also various issues.
This vehicle is subject to several recalls, but thus far I have been unable to get recall work completed. No service providers are nearby. Software updates that are supposed to be done over the air have never arrived. Significant safety issues, such as a potential problem with the door handles getting stuck, a coolant pump that will fail at any time and other issues remain unaddressed by the trustee appointed by the bankruptcy court to address outstanding recall work. The ADAs system constantly malfunctions, leaving some key features unavailable or unreliable.
Vehicle was bricked due to faulty "GATEWAY MODULE" gateway module was fried due to software version 2.2 OTA download. Vehicle was constantly giving false ADAS warnings and also had issues with driver door NFC reader. I have spent $3,869.75 to install new gateway module and manual download of version 2.2 software. What remedy do I have to recover all or portion of money spent to rectify problems?
NHTSA recall campaign numbers for the software recalls are 24V865000 and 24V623000, or others can be found in this link for 2023 Fisker Oceans [XXX] . I had to pay out of pocket for the water pump recall work (receipts provided in file upload). Also, all the software updates to address software recalls have not been done and i've been waiting. I've been getting constant safety alerts ranging from lane departure, front collision alerts that it is not functioning, constant camera malfunctions not working causing me to risk running into things when backing up because backup camera not working, and the proximity sensors not working half the time. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
NHTSA mandated water pump replacement for all of these vehicles. As there are no service centers for servicing these vehicles, there are only 20 certified service technicians in the entire country to provide this service. I have been unable to get service setup anywhere near my location by anything less than 150 miles away. I'm uncomfortable putting my vehicle on the road with the potential for breakdown at any time. I live in a major metropolitan area so getting a service technician to my area, within 100 miles, should not be difficult
The water pump was identified as needing replacement by NHTSA and a recall initiated and notice was sent to me to have the item replaced. I was able to find an authorized shop that had the water pump and provided the parts for free, but since Fisker had declared bankruptcy, the labor was not covered and I had to pay $316.68 for the water pump to be replaced.
Fisker Inc has gone out of business. A mandatory recall has been issued and the bankruptcy court has assigned a trustee to ensure vehicles are updated to version 2.2 to address safety recall issues. The update to 2.2 has been extremely unpredictable and the trustee has not been able to complete this recall. I had to pay $450.00 to complete the software update. I will have to pay an additional $450 to have the water-pump replaced, plus drive 6 hours to closest service center to have the work done. After the software update almost immediately the estimated range has been drastically reduced. The cars were marketed as getting up to 360 miles on 100% charge. Since the recall update, they now get somewhere around 220 miles on a 100% charge. The technician that completed my update analyzed it with approved Fisker software, and he found that the rear motor is now throwing “flux error codes” and not functioning properly. This is causing an electrical issue draining the batteries much quicker than they should be. there is no fix at the moment however the trustee is still responsible for rolling out this buggy software .
I have several recalls on this vigil that I have not been able to fix. NHTSA CampainNumber 24V499 Water Pump issue. The door handle issues. 12 volt battery going out several times. Brake and regenerative breaking issues.
Air vents are broken in a month after delivery. Fisker ignored all the service calls, opened tickets for parts replacement and have done nothing to deliver the parts or fix the issue. Multiple alerts comes up, Rear Seat belt not retracting which was notified to fisker via ticket. After the company filed bankruptcy there is no protection or warranty for this vehicle. Safety recalls like Water pump , door handle is not take care and parts are not available. As a owner i have to travel to different state pay the costs for recalls if the parts are available. At this point none of the recalls are addressed , just the notice sent from NHTSA that these recalls are active. This is absolutely tragic that we as a consumer are left in a limbo operating this unsafe vehicle putting our life and health at risk.
1. I received letter about safety recall campaign TSB10062408 - Breaking improvement software update in September 2024. Later Fisker released software version 2.2 for the recall. However It is Feb. 2025 now, I still have not received software update (via their OTA system). 2. Unreliable Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) - warning message, such as lane keep assistance feature, blind spot warning, etc not available displayed on dashboard from time to time. 3. Infotainment screen black out into loop. 4. Unable to open window using key fob. 5. Key fob drain battery fast, have to replace battery every 2 or 3 month. 6. Have to pay $185.74 labor fee to replace water pump for recall campaign TSB30032401.
1) I am Experiencing vehicle issues after recall work/updates for the AC the vents are not working 2) Had to pay out-of-pocket costs beyond stated reimbursement amounts (breakdown below)Water Pump, it was a recall and I paid for it,
I was forced to pay out of pocket in order to get the latest software version (2.2) and the water pump recall performed.
I having brakes issues. Brakes does not work sometimes and also it suddenly loses grip during bumpy ride. Below are the recalls which happened last year which Fisker did not fix yet. 1. Water Pump replacement: Fisker did not replace water pump for me and I had to pay out of pocket to get it replaced by third party technician. 2. Software update 2.2 to fix brake issues: I did not receive any updates and per Fisker mail notice, they said that they will fix it by end of Dec 2024. I tried to reach them to the phone number which they gave but there is no response from them. Attached the water pump replacement invoice.
I had to take private services and pay money to get software update done. Of the cars that were updated, like mine, almost immediately the estimated range has been drastically reduced. The cars were marketed as getting up to 360 miles on 100% charge. Since the recall update, they now get somewhere around 220 miles on a 100% charge. That’s more than 100 miles lost. I had a technician analyze it with approved Fisker software, and he found that the rear motor is now throwing “flux error codes” and not functioning properly. This is causing an electrical issue draining the batteries much quicker than they should be. I spent $1000 for diagnostic work and there is no fix at the moment however the trustee is still responsible for rolling out this buggy software and possibly damaging more cars with each remote installation.
Experiencing issues with water pump recall, 9 volt battery needing to be replaced due to recall work, door handle safety issues (the NFC on driver door does not work and vehicle will not open the door if remote is dead), I had to pay out of pocket for recall repairs
While entering a freeway the car in front braked suddenly and in the process of braking in response our Fisker did its characteristic "chatter" as the ABS first activated and then stopped braking all together causing us to hit the car ahead. Had the brakes not misbehaved the turning movement to avoid the impact would have allowed the collision to be avoided. Our Tbox has not worked since getting the car. Numerous fixes before Fisker went bankrupt did not remain in place and the navigation map has been useless. But much worse is that bc the Tbox is not working we are unable to get the OTA update and must pay for a manual update which has been quoted at $450, PLUS the cost of getting the Tbox reset and equipped with a resettable fuse (another $250).
NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V499000 Water pump replacement resulted in an out of pocket cost of $420 by an authorized shop NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V865000 OTA updates didn’t complete successfully, and rendered a few modules to stop working. NFC reader to open door stopped working and needs to be reinstalled. Vehicle lost exterior sound at low speed to warn pedestrians.
The recall water pump was replaced by a certified Fisker dealership (Lumin Fisker Sacramento) however I had to pay $187 out of pocket to have this NHSTA recall part replaced. Fisker was responsible for the part and installation.
All exterior cameras/safety aids are non functional when car sits in temperatures below approximately 25f
Car stopped in middle of the street and not moved. Totally dead
Passenger door could not open from inside.
I have several recalls on this vehicle that have yet to be preformed due to lack of Fisker helping with the cost of recalled items.
I received a notification for a recall for the water pump many months ago. To this day, the water pump has not been replaced. No one has reached out to me to set up the recall repair. I have tried to find local car repair shops, but they won't do it as it is part of a national recall. Also, the ADAS system is constantly malfunctioning, giving errors like collision warning not working, lane assist not working, blind spot monitoring not working. This has been a problem since I received the car. Adaptive cruise control has never worked. The braking system was supposed to be fixed with the 2.2 software update. It seemed to work for a few weeks, now the original problem is back where the braking regeneration turns off suddenly causing the car to lose control. This happens at random.
NHTSA recall campaign numbers for the software recalls are 24V865000 and 24V623000, or others can be found in this link for 2023 Fisker Oceans [XXX] . I have had 1 failed OTA attempt. So far OTA updates have not been completed on my car and when I've asked around at shops, they have said that my car may be undrivable. I only have this one and need it and can't afford to have it in the shop or pay for a rental. I also don't have a 48-hour window for the update to actually happen. The shops near me are asking me to pay, and I should not have to pay for this service. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

On January 30, 2025, around 7 PM, my Fisker Ocean experienced a critical failure while parked at Ralphs Market in California. The 12-volt battery died, which completely disabled the vehicle's door locking and unlocking mechanisms, leaving me, my elderly mother, and my young son trapped inside for about two hours. There was no manual override option to open the doors or rear hatch from the inside. My mother, who had a triple bypass surgery three months ago, began feeling dizzy and distressed as we remained trapped. To minimize her stress, I asked everyone to stop talking until help arrived. Even more concerning was that multiple attempts to open the doors from outside also failed. The Uber driver, my son (who was outside), and AAA all attempted to open the doors, but none of them were successful. The door handles were in the "up" position, which should have indicated that the doors were unlocked and could open, yet they remained completely stuck. Eventually, AAA arrived, but due to Fisker’s unusual hood design, I had to instruct them to remove two bolts to access the 12-volt battery before they could connect a portable charger and restore power to the doors. This is a serious safety risk that could be life-threatening in an emergency such as a fire, crash, or extreme weather event. If we had been in a more urgent situation, there would have been no way to escape. The 12-volt battery failure has happened multiple times before, but this was the first time it occurred while I was
Good afternoon, I am filing another complaint per Jayson Winick's recommendation. Fisker had a number of recalls. When I tried to contact Fisker upon first receiving the notices, the company's e-mail and phone numbers became disconnected. Now, the company is bankrupt and there is no one at Fisker to fulfill the recalls that need to be completed on my vehicle. I'm most concerned about the recalls pertaining cooling units, braking issues and exterior door handles. I continue to face dangerous issues that remain unresolved. My A/C only works sporadically, especially dangerous with kids in the vehicle when it is hot. The brakes continue to give out and the vehicle lurches forward when braking when encountering uneven roads. And sometimes the exterior door handle seem to jam resulting in the door not being able to open. Currently, the Fisker Owners Association is running the show, but will not provide information on resolving recalls to non-paying members. How do I go about getting these recalls resolved? Thank you!
Brake pedal pad has completely disintegrated and fallen apart. Bare metal break pedal is only thing left and it is slippery and dangerous to use as is.

Abs pulsing brakes on dry brake malfunction warning constant forward collision disabled warnings
The left and right rear seatbelts do not retract or keep tension on passengers and are completely useless.
The software updates required per NHTSA aft rolling out very slowly and there has been no timeline as to when these will be completed. I have been seeking an answer for several days now and have no clear information on how to get the needed safety update
I was scheduled to receive the 2.2 software update November 12 and noticed a low voltage battery warning some time earlier in the day, November 11 - this is not the main battery, as it was charged around 70%. Was this related to the download maybe? From reading threads, the best way to charge is to drive, so I went for a drive through local parks for about 30 minutes. Fast forward to later that night and I was driving home and received the warning again, but this time in a more critical fashion (beeps, red caution blinking, etc) and then a couple seconds later while turning on a bend the car totally shut down, the wheel locked up, breaks activated in full and I slid straight into the curb and got a flat tire and broke the wheel on the axel. Thankfully I was alone and was not hurt, and only going about 20 mph, but it could have been a lot worse. The car has not been online since as I haven't had time to charge the 12 volt, and the main battery will not charge because the cabin does not have power. Any advice on how to file a complaint, or next steps? I would love to be able to prove this with the logs or events within the car computer if I was ever able to power it back on again. At this point, the vehicle is a death trap.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
