After updating to OS2.2, I have experienced nonstop ADAS warnings via the front instrument cluster. I would get constant (ever 5 seconds) of an audible & visual alert indicating: Auto Emergency Breaking unavailable - drive carefully Blind spot monitoring unavailable These alerts have stopped and is replaced with a constant ADAS fault indicator (telltale) on the driver display.
2023 Fisker Ocean complaints
Owner reports filed with NHTSA about this vehicle, newest first and reproduced as filed. They are unverified accounts: one proves nothing, and a pattern across many is the thing worth reading. Back to the full 2023 record →
The Fisker Owners Association was asked by the NHTSA to report on recalls that are needed for the 2023 Fisker Oceans. I own a Fisker Ocean One which needed a cooling pump recall, which I did have done and I have a receipt I can supply. The cost for the recall, which we we asked to report, was $250.00
Lane Departure warning, lane keeping assistance, red light /green light assistance, etc. have not been available and have not been working for months. Needs software update. Also, have not received coolant pump, which I understand is a mandated replacement part.
Had to pay out of pocket for recalls of software to fix braking and water pump. Car was bricked with OTA update from manufacturer.
Even after i was fortunate to receive software update to version 2.2, i still receive frequent driver assistance warnings and periodic unavailability, resulting in loss in automatic emergency braking, lane keeping warnings, blind spot warnings, and similar. Additionally, internal lighting is inconsistent which results in lights coming on while driving that dont seem to have a way to turn off. Lastly, i have paid money to have my key fobs programmed which should have been free, and paid cash to have my recall-related water pump replaced.
Over the Air Issue I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000.I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the OTA (Over-the-Air) update process for my vehicle. The current OTA process, lasts 48 hours, is simply not feasible for those who rely on the vehicle daily. The inability to use my vehicle during this window would forced me to lose pay and be financially burdensome. Additionally, there have been numerous reports from fellow owners indicating that a significant percentage of vehicles (approximately 2%-5%) have become undrivable following these updates. This situation is alarming and raises concerns about the reliability of the updates. Moreover, the lengthy windows of 48 hours for updates, coupled with the expectation of partial updates requiring additional time, have left many of us in a state of uncertainty regarding the functionality of our vehicles. Water Pump Recall/Door Handles Check Recall These recalls were done as I was scared to be locked in my car. Imagine being stuck in your car. The water pump recall causes the car to slow down and go into "limp mode" meaning I could not go faster than 15mph. This could happen at any time. Imagine driving on the highway and the water pump fails. Scary My vehicle's braking system, particularly as it relates to its performance over rough terrain, has not yet been addressed
As part of the recall, there was need for water pump replacement and door handle checks. There is really nothing available to schedule the manual update of the 2.2 update or the replacement of the water pumps.. The car needs these updates and water pump recall completed and we are getting no where.. The OTA update could brick the car and there is need for manual update of the software.. There is only 1 service center that can perform this and there are additional out of pocket costs to get the recall completed... The car will become unusable or get bricked soon if the 12v battery is not replaced soon.. There are many other warnings starting to appear on the dash and this is causing inconvenience and safety concern. Need these completed and the trustee designee will have to make sure these are re-imbursed and addressed soon.
The warning lights keep blocking up lane assist light. Car won't lock or turn off and go to sleep. Infotainment screen goes black and all the time. Car goes to park when I lean forward when at drive. 12 volt battery keeps goes low. Brake rattling noise coming from brake paddle. Backup camera don't work.drive motor malfunction. Paid of out pocket recall work
Paid $249+fluids (total $304.17 with taxes) for water pump assembly recall on this vehicle as there remains no way - despite order and agreement - for the recall to be performed. there remains no way to seek reimbursement. Also $175 limit for work is less than actual cost.
I have to pay for labor to replace the water pump and door handles because they are not releasing funds to cover repairs, as the court set up to be paid. The car has not been updated to the latest software, 2.2, to cover recall safety issues.
My Fisker Ocean still has the 2.0 software, which does not include recall updates. Most concerning is the brake system, which I experience regular "lurching" (MRN: TSB10062408). I will no longer drive the car unless necessary because of the safety concern. In addition to this safety issue, there are several issues that have gone addressed with no apparent recourse to do so, such as: defective AC vent controls, lights that go on randomly in the car, warning lights regularly making audio and visual warnings, key fob not recognized by the car (to start the car), and more. Although reporting the "incident" as today. Issues have been ongoing since the purchase of the car in October of 2023.
Radar warning flashers every time I use the car. ADSA light warning stays on. Flashers inoperable. Had to replace water pump. Had to replace door handle. Had to replace battery 4 different times. Had to pay for batteries, and to install battery. ADAS system has never worked. Had the ADAS system by previous Fisker tech men and told there were not parts available to fix same.
My vehicle does not have Adaptive Cruise Control even though it was advertised as having that feature at the time of sale. Also, collision warning and lane departure very regularly malfunction. I paid $250 out of pocket to replace my water pump following the recall. I will only be able to get reimbursed $175. This is not acceptable.
I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. My vehicle's braking system, particularly as it relates to its performance over rough terrain, has not yet been addressed even though we have attempted updates. I have experienced significant brake slippage and a loss of function, which poses a serious safety risk. As a responsible vehicle owner, I trust that my car should provide a reliable and safe driving experience, especially when navigating challenging conditions. The frequency of reports from fellow owners about their vehicles becoming undrivable after updates—between 2% and 5%—is alarming and prevents me from attempting the recall process again. Knowing that the update process can leave a car unusable for up to 48 hours, and that partial updates might require even more time, adds to my frustration. The statistics shared indicate that only a mere 10% of the fleet has successfully received updates after weeks of attempts, which further highlights the inadequacy of the OTA process. Additionally, I am troubled by the limited availability of service personnel across the country. With only around 20 technicians available nationwide and just a handful traveling to address urgent issues, it is clear that many customers, including myself, may find ourselves in perilous situations without timely support. I cannot afford to wait months for a resolution while I am forced to pay
Recalls: 24V865000, 24V623000, 24V466000, 24V405000, 24V404000 I'm writing to express my deep concerns regarding issues reflected in above recall campaigns. My car breaking system related to its performance over rough terrain has not yet been addressed. I experience significant brake slippage and loss of function, which is a serious safety risk. I cannot afford to wait months for a resolution while I had to pay out of pocket for alternative solutions to make sure my car is safe to drive. Attached is the invoice reflecting repairs performed and paid out of pocket, specifically for 2.2 software update and water pump replacement. I'm concerned about the limited number of service personnel available in the US. This is unacceptable that I have to pay for necessary updates and repairs. And some of the ongoing issues with brakes and malfunction warnings could not be addressed due to lack of parts, technicians, etc. Thank you for your time to consider my concerns.
The car automatically brakes falsely, which should have been fixed in an OTA 2.2 recall but hasnt. The ADAS is constantly warning without needing to. It can give ADAS warnings while the car is parked. The car is near undriveable. The recall updates have been partial at best. NHTSA recall 24V865000 and 24V623000 have not been addressed and there's been no attempt to try and fix these issues.
My car has few safety recalls to be addressed but with the bankruptcy of Fisker, we do not have proper means, parts, and technician to perform the recall fix.
Good afternoon. There are several recall items for this car, 2023 Fisker Ocean. None of the recall items have been addressed by FISKER LIQUIDATOR (THEY ARE IN CHAPTER 7) FOR MY CAR. THERE IS A BRAKING RECALL, A WATERPUMP RECALL, AND I BELIEVE A DOOR HANDLE RECALL. ALL OF WHICH , IF NOT TAKEN CARE OF, WILL CAUSE POTENTIAL HARM TO ME AND TO OTHERS ON THE ROAD. IT SEEMS LIKE THERE IS NO OVERSIGHT OF THE LIQUIDATOR AS THERE IS NO COMMUNICATION TO OWNERS ABOUT WHEN THE RECALLS WILL BE ADDRESSED. I LIVE IN FLORIDA, THERE IS NO SHOP DOING RECALL WORK FOR FISKER HERE THAT ISNT ASKING FOR PAYMENT FROM ME AND OTHERS.

The current OTA process, lasting 48 hours, is simply not feasible for those of us who rely on our vehicles for daily activities. The inability to use my vehicle during this window forced me to pay out of pocket for alternative transportation, which is both inconvenient and financially burdensome. Additionally, it has come to my attention that there have been numerous reports from fellow owners indicating that a significant percentage of vehicles (approximately 2%-5%) have become undrivable following these updates. This situation is alarming and raises concerns about the reliability of the updates being delivered. Moreover, the lengthy windows of 48 hours for updates, coupled with the expectation of partial updates requiring additional time, have left many of us in a state of uncertainty regarding the functionality of our vehicles and forced to pay out of pocket for a mandatory free recall. According to owner surveys, it appears that complete updates—which include all necessary corrections—have been accomplished in less than 30% of cases. Furthermore, I was surprised to learn that only about 10% of the fleet (approximately 300 vehicles) had been up
MY Ficker Ocean failed an over the air software update on [XXX]. The failure made my vehicle non drivable (could not shift out of Park). The car was parked in my garage for almost two months before a prior Fisker employee was able to look at it. Unfortunately they were not able to fix the software problem and requested I have the vehicle transported to an authorized service center 60 miles away. I paid $200 to have the vehicle flatbed transported to Riverside, CA service center where it sat for a week and could not be repaired. I paid $180 to have the vehicle flatbed transported to Newport Fisker in Costa Mesa where they were able to reinstall the proper software and make the car drivable. It cost me $1000 to have the software updated and the vehicle "unbricked". I picked up my now operational vehicle at the end of October and soon started receiving the bright orange ADAS failure message: 1) ADAS System Failure, Some features limited or unavailable 2) The red ADAS Tell-tale light also remains illuminated. The blindspot detection and warning is no longer operational in my vehicle. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
This is an ongoing problem since November 2023 - software was going to fix the problem but updates have stop coming and the problem are still an issue. I had 4 onsite service calls with no issue fixed. This is the 2nd filing for the same issues (6.21.24 first filing) NO RECALLS have been repaired. I also filed in 2024, under the lemon law in CA, with no response. ABS red warning light comes on, navigation no longer works, no service provided in my area and the car, rebooting the main screens 6-10 per week and many of the feature promised were never installed. How do I get this car repaired and recalls fixed?
My concern relates to the recall campaign for 24V623000 reduction in regenerative braking. The slow roll out of this campaign caused this unrepaired recall to result in a crash of the vehicle resulting in a complete loss. While driving on a highway in subzero temperatures, the driver let off the accelerator to slow the vehicle around a corner. At this point the vehicle lost the expected braking and began to lose control. This sent the vehicle to understeer and toward oncoming traffic. An attempt to correct sent the vehicle out of control and into a collision with barriers, spinning across the road with the rear door on the driver's side completely ripped from the body. While the driver was not hurt, it is quite possible that a passenger could have been thrown from the vehicle and seriously injured. This is an obvious serious safety risk to not only the occupants of the car, but such loss of control could have resulted in death or serious injury without emergency corrective action and frankly a little luck. It is particularly concerning that very few of these recalls have apparently been addressed. It has been shared that fewer than 10% of the public vehicles have had this issue addressed, months after the recall was announced. I feel that had this issue been addressed in a timely manner this incident would not have occurred and I fear for others that might find themselves in a similar perilous situation.
Vehicle is stuck in middle of the software update issued. I can't get assistance to fix without a FAST tool to which American leasing is not releasing to Fisker Owners Association or any other shop. Therefore, the recall update has not been completed. I had to pay $330 to have the recalled water pump replaced to which the DOJ stated customers aren't responsible for. I have left messages too. Ongoing intermitting braking conditions....

Post 2.2 installation to address current recalls, vehicle is experiencing a loss of range. Additionally, installation of the update permanently damaged the 12v battery which required a replacement that I had to pay for out of pocket. 2.2 install process has been inconsistent, and has bricked multiple vehicles.
Am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Specifically, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in my vehicle, which has become increasingly distracting and, frankly, dangerous due to an incomplete or failed 2.2 Over-The-Air (OTA) update is a huge concern. As a responsible driver, I value the safety of not only myself but also those around me, and this situation and others we constantly hear about make me question the process of the recall. Every week, a number of vehicles are reported as undrivable post-OTA updates, with statistics indicating that approximately 2%-5% of owners experience this issue. With 48-hour update windows, my vehicle becomes unusable for an extended period, which is highly inconvenient and concerning. Moreover, I've noted that partial updates are expected, potentially extending this downtime by another 48 hours. I have had a partial update that has left my vehicle in worse shape than before, what could happen if the process is tried again? This inconsistent performance is not only frustrating, but also poses a serious inconvenience to scheduling and executing such a process. Owner surveys suggest that comprehensive updates, which should resolve these issues, have been successfully completed in under 30% of vehicles which were attempted. Additionally, the alarming figures shared indicate that only around 10% of the fleet has been updated in
The manufacturer was required by NHTSA to update the vehicle software to address critical safety issues. This effort was implemented through Over The Air (OTA) updates last fall. This software update was a very large and complex file and required the car to be "On" for the duration of the updates. This caused the 12 V battery to drain beyond capacity, and the update was only partial, resulting in a non-operating vehicle. In order to remedy this situation, a local technician was needed to manually install this update, resulting in an $800 charge directly to me for this mandatory recall. The technician was able to "unbrick" my car, as well as complete the software update to the NHTSA required software level of version 2.2. Even after this update, my car is unreliable, and has safety issues with warning lights in the dash. There were 3 critical recalles issues by the NHTSA for this vehicle - 1) Software update, 2), Door handle function, 3) Coolant pump replacement to avoid "limp mode" in the drive train. I have had all of these issues coompleted on my vehicle, with an out of pocket expense of $800, which has not been reimbursed by the trustee for this company. The company (Fisker) is in bankrucy proceedings (chaper 7), and all responsibilities to get these recalls accomplished and paid for, have not been accomplished. The OTA team, and the trustee are not cooperating with the owners of these vehicles. We are all stuck and need an intervention by the NHSTA to help get these recal
Front passenger door handle is stuck closed, should be fixed under recall(NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V466 Subject: Safety Recall Campaign TSB55062401 – Outer Door Handles (2023 and 2024 Model Years Fisker Ocean)), but have recieved no correspondence or reply from anyone about it. Passenger door has to be manually opened from inside vehicle since outer handle is not functional. Also, after software updates as per recall, the ADAS system gives all kinds of "lane departure failure", "collision warning failure" alarms that ding incesantly and cant be silenced. It is very annoying and distracting while driving to have blinking lights on the dash and warning buzzers.
There are NHTSA recalls on this vehicle, and nothing has been repaired yet. The OTA 2.2 was pushed, causing my 12V battery to drain, and I had to pay out of pocket to replace it. I continue to have brake malfunction error messages along with other error messages displayed on the screen. The infotainment screen consistently goes dark at random times, and I have to reboot the system to get it to turn back on. My door handle on the driver's side has broken, and I had to glue it back on. There is door handle recall work that has to be performed, and nothing has been done. I've been locked out of my car from the inside several times. When will these repairs take place?

Inability to Schedule Recall Work + Lack of Availability I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Multiple attempts of this safety recall have been scheduled over the past several weeks for my vehicle, but the update has yet to be completed. As an owner who values safety and reliability, I am increasingly concerned about the unresolved safety issues that were supposed to be addressed with this software update. To date, I have been disappointed to learn that each week brings reports from fellow vehicle owners indicating that their cars have become undrivable following these updates, with a concerning failure rate of approximately 2% to 5%. This is unacceptable for any customer who relies on their vehicle for daily transportation. Additionally, the lengthy 48-hour windows during which our cars become unusable only exacerbate the frustration and inconvenience faced by owners. The expectation of partial updates, followed by yet another potential 48-hour downtime, is not a practical solution. Furthermore, the feedback from owner surveys suggests that complete updates, which should ideally resolve these issues, have only succeeded in under 30% of attempted vehicles. Fisker Inc has gone out of business. A mandatory recall has been issued and the bankruptcy court has assigned a trustee to ensure vehicles are updated to version 2.2 to address safety recall issues. The update to 2.2 has been extremely unpredictable and the trustee has not been able to complete this recall. Of the cars that were updated, like mine, almost immediately the estimated range has been drastically reduced. The cars were marketed as getting up to 360 miles on 100% charge. Since the recall update, they now get somewhere around 220 miles on a 100% charge. That’s more than 100 miles lost. I had a technician analyze it with approved Fisker software, and he found that the rear motor is now throwing “flux error codes” and not functioning properly. This is causing an electrical issue draining the batteries much quicker than they should be. I spent $200 for diagnostic work and there is no fix at the moment however the trustee is still responsible for rolling out this buggy software and damaging more cars with each remote installation.
Fisker had a nhtsa recall for water pump replacement that has now apparently been closed. This part failure will cause our new vehicle to become inoperable, causing a safety issue to the passengers as well as anyone nearby if the vehicle comes to a sudden stop (i.e. highway driving). Fisker has no repair facility in the state of Oklahoma, and has not provided this part to individuals for replacement. It would require transporting the vehicle using a transport company and losing the use of the vehicle for at least two days. Additionally, a software update has been mandated for all Fisker Oceans to version 2.2 that has added safety features, this was to be an OTA update- About 4 months have passed and our vehicle has not received this required update.

My vehicle is not shifting in to a drivable gear. Screen displays error message with no possible solution. Vehiclweis just sitting in my carport collecting dust. FISKER company and its owner Henrik Fisker need to be brought before a court and be held accountable for the gross mismanagement of the company and betraying the trust of thousands of people who bought the vehicles because of the false promises from Mr. Fisker.
I'm aware of multiple Fisker Ocean recalls, some of them were addressed via Over the Airway (OTA) software updates, but the interior lighting still comes on every night, remains on, and represent a security risk and negatively impacts battery performance. In addition, none of the hardware recalls have been resolved on my vehicle, probably due to the fact I live in a region with no access to Fisker technical support and the company has made no attempt to provide said technical support. Specifically, the defective water pump and door handles have not been replaced, and despite multiple attempts by me and other owners living in the region, we have not been able to secure the mandated recall services.
I have not received the promised w2.2 OTA software updates as previously mandated by nhtsa to Fisker. Brakes are an issue that should be addressed in 2.2. Continuing ADAS warnings continually distract when driving. I purchase new FOB and NFC cards, but they need programing. Again, nothing from the company. NHTSA recall campaign numbers for the recalls are 24V865000 and 24V623000 I have been promised software updates yet since last fall, but it appears a low percentage of owners have actually received updates. I do not have a service center near me in Ohio, but the technicians are supposed to come to me to program the FOB, NFC cards, fix door handles as well as make sure the software update gets done. FOA tells me only 30% of updates have been completed. I need action to get receive the proper response to NHTSA mandated fixes. These recalls must be done and done properly.

I had received various notifications from NHTSA for recalls for my vehicle. I have not been able to schedule my vehicle for repairs due to various reasons starting with shop availability, additional out of pocket costs for the service. The contact called on behalf of an employer who owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the brake pedal failed to function as intended. The contact stated that when the brake pedal was depressed, the brake pedal pushed back the driver’s foot upwards. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle failed to stop as intended. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The owner had received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V623000 (Service Brakes, Electric) and 24V404000 (Electrical System); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 8,000.

Cars door handles regularly don’t work locking me out of car and sometimes in car. Emergency breaking is regularly disabled by car for no apparent reason.
I am very concerned about these recalls 24V405 24V404 24V623 and the availability of service providers to preform the corrections as there seems to be only 20 service techs in the whole country. For these free recalls I am told to pay and then get reimbursed (From Who?)I have yet to get on any providers schedule. AS a responsible vehicle owner and operator I am looking for answers and direction to expediting these urgent safety issues.
I have deep concerns over ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign number 4V623000. Specifically, the loss of braking when driving over a rough or bumpy surface. Furthermore, the fact that there are only approximately 20 service personnel available nationwide, with a mere five traveling to assist customers whose cars are rendered undrivable, is simply unacceptable. This lack of support exacerbates an already trou
I am submitting this complaint because my 2023 Fisker Ocean One has not received any of the six NHTSA-mandated recalls, and with Fisker Inc. now bankrupt and unreachable, there is no clear path to getting these critical safety repairs completed. My wife drives this vehicle daily for work, covering approximately 100–150 miles per day, and the ongoing safety concerns pose a serious risk to her and others on the road. The vehicle has multiple serious safety issues that remain unaddressed due to the lack of manufacturer support: Safety features are non-functional – Several critical safety systems are either malfunctioning or have stopped working entirely. NFC Card Reader Failure – The NFC card reader on the door handle has stopped working, making entry into the vehicle unreliable. Vehicle Rolling Over Bumps – The car exhibits an uncontrolled rolling movement when driving over bumps, which creates an unpredictable driving experience and a potential loss of control. Interior Lighting Malfunctions – Various interior lights turn on randomly without user input, which may indicate electrical issues. Given Fisker’s bankruptcy, I am unable to schedule recall repairs, and no official service network exists to address these safety-critical issues. The recalls mandated by the NHTSA must be performed, yet there is no viable path for owners to ensure compliance. This situation presents an urgent safety hazard, and I am requesting immediate guidance on how these safety recalls can be fulfilled

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
