I was told by the Fisker service center that my vehicle CANNOT receive the required safety recall software updates without also getting a new 12V battery installed. I would like the full cost of the safety recall to be covered including the necessary new battery. Also, I was charged $325 labor to have another recall done - to replace the water pump. Here is a list of safety recalls for this vehicle and my current situation: 24V865000 (Regen Braking OTA-2.2) - cannot be completed on my vehicle without new 12V battery 24V499000 (Water pump) - I was charged $325 to complete the required safety recall 24V466000 (Door Handles) - inspection was not completed, service center asked for additional labor payment, which I refused to make. 24V405000 (Warning Lights OTA-2.1) - cannot be completed without new 12V battery 24V404000 (MCU/VCU Loss of Power OTA-2.1) -cannot be completed without new 12V battery To be clear, my vehicle's battery is fine, it is in normal condition for a 1-year old vehicle. It does not need to be replaced other than to perform the required safety recalls. I would like NHTSA to require the current bankruptcy holder of Fisker's assets to reimburse me for the labor cost of the required safety water pump replacement AND to pay the full cost of the other required safety recalls.
AN OTA SOFTWARE UPGRADE WAS ATTEMPTED WITHOUT NOTICE. THE DOWNLOAD WAS INTERUPPTED AND NOT FINISHED. ERROR MESSAGES CONTINUE TO BE DISPLAYED ON THE DASH SCREEN. A FAULT ICON OF A DECLINE IMAGE (NEVER BEEN SCEEN BEFORE) NOW APPEARS AT 18mph AND DISAPPEARS BELOW 18mph. DEGREDATION OF RANGE IS APPARENT. RANGE DECREASES FASTER THAN MILES DRIVEN. ORIGINAL SOFTWARE VERSION 2.0 BECAME 2.2.1. OTA 2.2 NEEDS TOP BE REPEATED DUE TO INTERRUP.
Too many software issues with so support and very hard to get help with this issues.. even if you find a technician they are ripping the pockets with high fees to fix the repairs and some repairs are getting fixed at all
Their are multiple recalls for Fisker Ocean One but none have been serviced and no contacts for recalls and service.
Recall for all water pump and software updates to 2.2
I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Specifically, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in my vehicle, which has become increasingly distracting and, frankly, dangerous due to an incomplete or failed 2.2 Over-The-Air (OTA) update is a huge concern. As a responsible driver, I value the safety of not only myself but also those around me, and this situation and others we constantly hear about make me question the process of the recall. Every week, a number of vehicles are reported as undrivable post-OTA updates, with statistics indicating that approximately 2%-5% of owners experience this issue. Owner surveys suggest that comprehensive updates, which should resolve these issues, have been successfully completed in under 30% of vehicles which were attempted. Additionally, the alarming figures shared indicate that only around 10% of the fleet has been updated in over five weeks, despite submitting over 800 Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) and my VIN is not one of them. This inefficiency raises serious questions about the reliability of the process. Other safety issues include random indoor reading lights lite up randomly during driving (specially during night) really a concern and they don't turn off. The ADAS feature very premature suddenly disengages features, the scariest of all it resistive braking. I was almost met with an accident. Furthermore, th
OTA 2.2 performed but loss of pedestrian sound while in Drive or Reverse. This happened after tge vehicle received the update. It no longer has any warning sound in low speed cruise.
* Safety recall 24V499 - replacement of cabin electric water pumps. Pump was replaced [XXX] by Nuts and Volts automotive. Cost to me was $185.71 including parts, supplies and $150 labor. Liquidating trustee / American Lease is providing $175 for pump replacement and door handle checks. * Safety recall ?? - replacement of door handles that fail a pull test. I had a front drivers side and a right rear door handle that failed the pull test as administered by Nuts and Volts Automotive using the prescribed tool on [XXX]. Cost to replace will be $150 for NFC front door handles and $100 for the right rear, vs Liquidating trustee / American Lease is providing $100 for NFC door handle and $80 for others (right rear in my case). The tool was not available when the pump was changed. Problem - door handles being provided by American Lease (as designated by the liquidating trustee) are the original design and left over inventory. The newly produced better design handles are still in England with the manufacturer Chevalier. We need these door handles!! The recall for the ADAS alerts (cluster telltales) # 24V405 (campaign TSB70062404) - has not fully resolved the nuisance cluster telltale alerts. The OTA team needs to be more precise with the updates and not leave some of the numerous electronic modules partially updated. Some incomplete updates cause owners cars to malfunction or stop responding (BRICK). INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B
On February 12, 25 my car received a software update. After the update I had several faults drive train, braking, camera faults, avoidance faults and the vehicle would not charge. It was basically bricked. The vehicle could not go into gear and was basically useless. I had to pay $1350 to have a technician get the car in a somewhat usable condition. It is still not back to where it was prior to the update. No warning were given to me before this unapproved update, that was done in the middle of the night, that basically ruined my car. I would hope there would be no further over the air updates. If updates need to be done, they should be done in person in case there are any problems with the update. The technician also told me that my motors are not able to accept this new update and if they try it again, my car will be bricked once again. I want to be taken off the list for any updates in the future. What they did to me is criminal!!
The ota team from Fisker sent an update to my car without prior notice and bricked my car. I had to have a mobile technician come out to fix it. It costs me $1,600. I still dont have the update on my car which is an nhtsa recommended fix.
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding ongoing issues with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V499000. I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the OTA (Over-the-Air) update process for my vehicle. I received on OTA update to address 24V86500 Regen Braking Issues; some 4 weeks later my car is not operable. My high voltage battery shows 100% state of charge, but my range mileage eventually dropped to zero and remains there. Even after replacing the car's 12v battery, I cannot open the car let alone drive it. While I had a technician to my house to address my bricked car, I had her do the work for 24V49900 (water pump recall). As planned, the recall part was made available to her (and then to me) at no charge. However, the fee to replace it was $345 dollars, as seen in the attached itemized invoice. 1) I had to pay this out of pocket and there is at present no way for me to be reimbursed for the recall work. I am told a portal is coming to submit a claim for reimbursement from the bankruptcy trustee's designee, American Leasing. 2) The amount currently approved for water pump replacement is $175, meaning I will have paid an extra $170 out of pocket for work that was to have been covered at no cost to owners, as mandated by NHTSA. Additionally, I have had a Lane Departure Warning Failure indicator light that has remained on for about 6 months. At best, this is a distraction while driving. At worst, the
My car is currently supposed to have a software recall that fixes the braking on this car. The install was pushed to my car overnight without any communication and now my car does not function with cabin heat. I need to find hire a technician to fix the recall update that was sent to my car. I also have had to pay out of pocket for a water pump recall on this car.
There has been multiple recalls on this vehicle. I have not received any recall updates. Software updates were to be sent out to fix the braking situation. I continue to be on 2.0 for the last year, and I have had issues with my braking since buying the vehicle over a year ago. I have a braking warning lamp upon starting the car.
Hello, The bankruptcy court-ordered software fix may have addressed some initial problems, but it has also introduced several new issues. I am now experiencing a barrage of warnings related to radar, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), lane change alerts, and more. The constant alerts are not only distracting but also concerning, making me feel as though I might lose control of their vehicle at any moment. Additionally, the display system appears to have a mind of its own, further contributing to the unpredictable and unreliable nature of the car. It is shocking that this car was approved for sale in the first place, given the significant safety concerns and technical malfunctions it presents. One would expect that there are regulations in place to ensure that new cars do not exhibit warning lights or critical system errors on day one!
Blind sport warning and forward collision warnings keep failing and the alarms are incessant. The alarms are a major distraction with all the flashing. These are items that have not worked since the car was delivered and Fisker, Heights, and the FOA have all failed to address this. Another car handle has failed. The driver rear handle has failed, in addition to the passenger rear handle. This effectively locks people in the car, in those respective seats. The door cannot be opened from the inside or outside.

Moreover, I've noted that partial updates are expected, potentially extending this downtime by another 48 hours. I have had a partial update that has left my vehicle in worse shape than before, what could happen if the process is tried again? This inconsistent performance is not only frustrating, but also poses a serious inconvenience to scheduling and executing such a process.Owner surveys suggest that comprehensive updates, which should resolve these issues, have been successfully completed in under 30% of vehicles which were attempted. 1). Constant ADAS warnings can be a distracting safety issue. 2). Blind Spot Monitoring and Lane keep assist are constantly showing warnings about it being unavailable, it is a distracting and safety issue. 3). Replacement costs for Water Pump recall and door handles recall is not sufficient. Owners are still being forced to pay for labour costs,I reached out to three different service providers and they quoted about 300 dollars in cost to get this work done.
I need software recalled done
I had to pay for labor to perform the recall with NHTSA campaign number 24V499000. The service provider did not have the tool necessary to perform the recall with NHTSA campaign number 24V466000. The next closest provider who might be able to do the door handle recall is 487 miles away, the cost in time or money to either drive the car myself or ship the car to have that recall work done is unreasonable.
Some Issues that my car has: 24V623000 Regenerative breaking is not working correctly. It has delay! 24V499000 Water pump is not working correctly. One time in the freeway, my car lost the drive power. 24V466000 Door handles stuck and failed to open several times. One time in a shopping center, when I got out of the car, all door handles got stuck, and I could not open the doors to help my kid in the car.
Inability to have Recall Work Completed and Fees Being Charged for Recall Work I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Multiple attempts of this safety recall have been scheduled over the past several weeks for my vehicle, but the update has yet to be completed. As an owner who values safety and reliability, I am increasingly concerned about the unresolved safety issues that were supposed to be addressed with this software update. To date, I have been disappointed to learn that each week brings reports from fellow vehicle owners indicating that their cars have become undrivable following these updates, with a concerning failure rate of approximately 2% to 5%. I have purchased a new battery and battery tender to address my vehicle from "bricking" from these OTA updates after reading many 12V have failed during the process. This is unacceptable for any customer who relies on their vehicle for daily transportation. Additionally, the lengthy 48-hour windows during which our cars become unusable only exacerbate the frustration and inconvenience faced by owners. The expectation of partial updates, followed by yet another potential 48-hour downtime, is not a practical solution. Furthermore, the feedback from owner surveys suggests that complete updates, which should ideally resolve these issues, have only succeeded in under 30% of attempted vehicles. This raises serious
The issues with this vehicle started, right from delivery. The staff, had me waiting for a couple of hours and finally called me into the back and explained that paint and ding needed to be fixed. They promised that if I took delivery, they would provide me with the needed repairs this was back on 9/26/23. The dings and paint issues were never resolved. What I did receive was a complimentary home charger. The day after the vehicle would self shift into park. This happened too many times to count. I shifted into park while I was backing up, when I slowed down, and when stopped in the middle of traffic which became a safety concern. Several near collision misses while backing up made the situation life altering and produced extremely stressful situations arises from the self shift issue. In addition, a few times I could not even get into the vehicle due to key fob to car communication issues. I had to use other transportation. This was corrected, however it still happens from time to even to date. The fact that too many warning lights would flash constantly on the dashboard made it impossible to know what was malfunctioning or what was working in this vehicle. More than ten service tickets were ignored. Some did not seem to even go through when using the fisker app or their official website. There was also a battery drain issue that left me stranded twice I had to call for tow assistance. On 9/20/24 an OTA update was forced through that made the car battery drain an feel like t
In early October 2024, my Fisker received over the air software update 2.2. This software update bricked the car, rendering it in operable, and I was unable to even unlock the vehicle. I managed to get in through the back window, and triggered the alarm when I tried to start the car. The vehicle was inoperable for 2 1/2 months, until I located a technician, at my own expense of close to $2900 to fly out, diagnose the problem, and Unbrick the car. The technician was able to get the car running and reinstall most of the software, but the software update damaged the ADAS controller in the vehicle, rendering it in operable. It hastaking me over a month and a half to source a replacement part, and I purchased one at a cost to myself of approximately $400. I still have to go through the process of having a technician recode the module, and install it, at what I think will be a cost of least several hundred more dollars. At this point I am out of pocket nearly $4000 because of the software update which damaged the vehicle. As of yet, I do not know if I will be able to successfully complete the software 2.2 update, which is required to complete / remedy these NHTSA recalls 24V865000 (Regen Braking OTA-2.2) 24V405000 (Warning Lights OTA-2.1) 24V404000 (MCU/VCU Loss of Power OTA-2.1)
Hi, I don't have a functioning car. It is bricked due to an update from 2.0 to 2.1 (en route to 2.2). I've experienced all the normal stuff like my Brakes wouldn't work as expected and the ADAS Warning Beeps were going nuts... But currently, there was a forced, OTA Update that I did not consent to and now the car does not move (or turn on). I'm concerned about the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. The experience I had with my Fisker durning a 2.1 Over-the-Air (OTA) update attempt left my vehicle undrivable. This is leaving me in an inconvenient and frustrating situation. As a result, I had to incur additional expenses to have the necessary safety updates completed to restore my vehicle's functionality. This is far from the experience that I expected when signing up for a free mandated safety recall. Moreover, I've noticed a concerning trend regarding the frequency of issues reported by fellow owners after OTA updates. It appears that a significant percentage of vehicles—approximately 2% to 5%—experience similar problems, rendering them undrivable during the 48-hour update window. This situation not only disrupts our daily lives but also raises serious concerns about the reliability of the software updates. I am particularly troubled by the statistics indicating that only around 10% of the fleet has been updated successfully after several weeks of attempts. With such a limited number of service personnel availabl
During 2.2 update which was supposed to fix multiple mandatory recalls that I had to pay out of pocket ($750) it caused my infotainment System to not come up which affects the entire car safety systems, my 12 volt to die and leave my car inoperable, radar is inactive and car will not reset. The update did not go through correctly. Manufacturer will not do water pump recall which is mandatory and the cars automatic door handles will lock you in sporadically which was not fixed in the update. Also random lights will turn on in the car while driving.
A water pump was recalled. Since the auto manufacturer, Fisker LLC, filed for bankruptcy, I have no warranty or service help with the vehicle. I had to purchase the part and pay a technician to install it. The cost was $200.00.
Fuel pump recall, replacement is not free all approved fisker shops charge a fee.
I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. I was forced to pay to have my software updated to alleviate the concerns as the recall was not being performed properly. This situation is unacceptable, and I urge you to take immediate action to address these critical issues. I look forward to a prompt response.
I received and over-the-air software update pursuant to NHTSA Campaign Number 24V623. This update imposed a demand on the electrical system sufficient to deplete the 12v battery in the vehicle and damage it to the degree that it required replacement. This software update was incomplete, and further updates are still required, so the newly-replaced battery is now at risk. As a result of this software update, the efficiency of the vehicle has been severely compromised. For example, my trip to an from work yesterday totaled 14.3 miles, according to the odometer. That resulted in a drain of 26 miles from the high voltage battery, so the vehicle now consumes approximately 40% more electricity to accomplish the same travel, or , the range has decreased by approx 40%.
After an incomplete update to a mandated (part of a recall) software version 2.2, the following happens constantly: Vehicle lost the pedestrian alert noise after the incomplete software update. The lack of the legally required pedestrian alert noises are a safety concern for those around the vehicle. Constant ADAS warnings that are extremely distracting, made even worse when driving in challenging driving conditions, like rain, snow, fog or in the dark. After the incomplete update to software 2.2, the 12V battery was drained and now I get frequent low battery warnings and/or the vehicle won't start or won't unlock. Exacerbating the problem is the sad fact that there are no service centers for Fisker vehicles to have warranty or service done to the car. It is extremely difficult and expensive to find a technician willing to work on this car and a simple 12V battery replacement or update the software in person takes months. Many owners have reported getting stuck inside /outside the car and not being able to open it. The high voltage battery state of charge ( SOC) and mileage have dropped immensely after the incomplete 2.2 update. The high voltage battery loses about 10% in 8 hours (parked overnight) and while driving you see the range being significantly less than before. I lose more battery charge fro. being parked at home than while driving and need to charge the car constantly.
NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V499000 There is an active recall to replace water pumps. It is very difficult to get a technician to do this as there are very few peop,e in the entire USA that ca work o. these vehicles. Additionally we have to pay out of pocket not only for travel fees and hotel stays for the mechanics, but we need to pay for the installation too. his is a serious safety issue that is supposed to be free of charge but we are forced to pay put of out own money. Manufacturer Fisker Group Inc Components ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Potential Number of Units Affected 7,545 Summary Fisker Group Inc (Fisker) is recalling all 2023-2024 Ocean vehicles. Over-The-Air (OTA) mandated software update for Fisker Oceans is bricking vehicles and/or depleting 12V batteries. Constant ADAS warnings won't shut off, being very distracting and a huge safety concern. Warnings come o day/night, all driving conditions but especially bad when it's raining, snow, fog, or when it's dark. I signed up for OTA update performed on Nov 12-14, 2024. It took 3 entire days where I could not use the vehicle. Afterwards, I realized the 12V battery was severely drained. I keep getting constant errors that the 12V battery voltage is low and the car shuts down, won't go into gear. On several occasions I was not able to get in the car - totally locked out. The team in charge of doing the OTA updates does not communicate with owners , do not provide advise or notice . Many owners car have been bricked because the OTA team pushes the updates without notice or preparation. My update happened 3 months ago (Nov 2024) and it took 3 dys where I was not able to use the car at all. The update was incomplete and it ruined my 12V battery. Cost of replaceming it : $425
Pedestrian Warning Sounds Gone I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Following an attempted OTA software update for the safety recall, I have noticed that the pedestrian alert noises are missing, which poses a significant safety risk not only for those around the car but also for the occupants inside the vehicle. This situation is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the vehicle’s safety features. Moreover, it has come to my attention that a concerning number of owners have reported their vehicles as undrivable following OTA updates, with 2%-5% of vehicles experiencing such issues weekly. The current 48-hour update window renders my car unusable, and now I require another session, an additional 48 hours to complete the update only adds to my frustration. Based on owner surveys, it appears that complete updates, including the correct sounds, have been successfully implemented in less than 30% of vehicles attempted. Given these concerns, I urge you to look into the situation with my vehicle and the entire process. I should not have to pay out of pocket for the safety recall and restored function of pedestrian alert noises, nor the cost of a rental car. Thank you for your attention to this critical matter.
Inability to Schedule Recall Work + Lack of Availability I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. My software update in incomplete and defective, My car is worse off with constant ADAS warnings, lost pedestrian warnings sounds, 12V depleted to name a few. Furthermore, the feedback from owner surveys suggests that complete updates, which should ideally resolve these issues, have only succeeded in under 30% of attempted vehicles. This raises serious questions about the efficacy of the OTA update process and its implementation. I was also alarmed to learn that after five weeks of attempts, only about 10% of the fleet—approximately 300 vehicles—have been successfully updated, despite over 800 VINs submitted for these updates. Lack of Access, Inability to Use Vehicle During Recall, Out of Pocket I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the OTA (Over-the-Air) update process for my vehicle. The current OTA process, lasting 48 hours, is simply not feasible for those of us who rely on our vehicles for daily activities. The inability to use my vehicle during this window forced me to pay out of pocket for alternative transportation, which is both inconvenient and financially burdensome. Additionally, it has come to my attention that there have been numerous reports from fellow owners indicating that a significant percentage of vehicles (approximately 2%-5%) have become undrivable following these updates. This situation is alarming and raises concerns about the reliability of the updates being delivered. Moreover, the lengthy windows of 48 hours for updates, coupled with the expectation of partial updates requiring additional time, have left many of us in a state of uncertainty regarding the functionality of our vehicles and forced to pay out of pocket for a mandatory free recall. Complete updateS have been accomplished in less than 30% of cases. Furthermore, I was surprised to learn that only about 10% of the fleet (approximately 300 vehicles) had been updated after several weeks of attempts, despite over 800 VINs submitted for this proces
I am $851 out of pocket for repairs to address NHTSA mandated recalls. Software updates have not fully addressed all issues, notably excessive and distracting repeating audible and visual driver alerts related to ADAS failures, especially when raining, dark, or driving into direct sunlight. Vehicle was subject to multiple recalls (software: 24V865000, 24V623000, 24V405000, 24V404000; hardware: 24V499000) manufacturer is bankrupt, zero follow-through from trustee / administrators to enable me to get these recalls addressed. There is an "OTA" team who are responsible for delivering software updates over the air. They are opaque, uncontactable, and appear to operate beholden to no-one. They have failed to establish a method for providing the NHTSA mandated software updates. The Fisker Owner's Association has attempted to fill the administrative delinquency but they are also not getting support. My complaint is based on the requirement that the manufacturer ensures I am not out of pocket for the cost of the remediation work to address the recalls and they have failed to provide a way for me to do this. As a result I have paid out of pocket to have them addressed. Attached is the invoice from a local garage for software updates ($495 labor) and water pump replacement ($325 labor + $31 parts).
The car has issues with braking over a bump, it stops breaking momentarily. There is a recall for this however the company charged with performing the recalls is now getting the work done or leaving it up to the owner to pay for the parts and labor of the recall. There is also a recall for the cabin circulation pump and door handles, again owner will be charged for labor and parts. TSB10062408, TSB30032401
I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000.I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the OTA (Over-the-Air) update process for my vehicle. The current OTA process is a disaster! The first update attempt was incomplete with only 1/3 of the update installing. This caused issues and all subsequent OTA attempts failed, causing me not to be able to drive it for days and weeks at a time for fear of my safety and that of others. Ultimately, this resulted in me paying for a tech to fly to TN to finish the update in person, and complete the water pump recall. Since I was left in a state of uncertainty regarding the functionality of my vehicle I became forced to pay roughly $1,000 out of pocket for a mandatory free recall. I have yet to be reimburse for any of this cost, and frankly this should not have happened if the OTA process worked AND there were more techs available in the US to help people. I supposedly now have all of the updates for the car and the water pump replaced and this was all supposed to be free. This is on top of the NEW 12V battery I had to buy (another near $300) in order to allow updates to be installed because of the unsafe update process. Lastly, I am deeply concerned about the limited number of service personnel available in the U.S., with only around 20 individuals servicing the entire country and merel
Unannounced and unauthorized software update caused a motor control unit failure. My vehicle was unable to go into gear or drive after this unannounced update.
Based on NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000, 24V405000 and 24V623000, I was supposed to receive over the air updates that was to fix braking issues with my vehicle, as well as other issues with the driver's assistance features. I have not received these updates yet. I do have regular issues with the regenerative breaking cutting out, and would like to receive these OTA updates as soon as possible. According to the Fisker Owners Association: Every week of OTA updates has had vehicles whose owners have reported them as undrivable afterward (~2%-5% usually). Windows are 48 hrs long, car is unusable for the entire window. Partial updates are expected, and another 48 hrs may be required to complete. Complete updates (correct sounds and all), per owner surveys, have been under 30%. One set of numbers shared with FOA, and then shared with owners, was that only ~10% of the fleet (~300) was updated after 5 weeks of attempts and over 800 VINs submitted for attempt. There are only ~20 US service people available for the entire country, and only ~5 travel nationwide to fix our vehicles when a car is undrivable. Received 2.2 updates on November 12th 2024. Vehicle didn't next day morning. 12V battery was totally drained. I had to call one of the Fisker old technician to remove the old battery and install a new battery. I had to pay him $400 on that day. He said he had to come back again and update the software as 2.2 update didn't happen properly. He came back again a week after and charged me $1400 for fixing the car which was Brick condition. I have wasted a total of $1800 just in 2 weeks. But still I don't have 2.2 update on my fisker
Brakes are a safety issue which should be addressed in 2.2 OTA. Constant ADAS warnings can be a distracting safety issue for partially updated cars. The lack of the legally required pedestrian alert noises are also a safety concern for those around the vehicle. There may be others, of course, but remember we would like the NHTSA to look into the SAFETY RECALL PROCESS. Be sure you have a safety reason to back up your selection.
Still waiting for NHSTA mandated recall work to be completed as part of the bankruptcy settlement from October 2024. I have had to put out considerable time & money out of my own pocket to try and address these issues, even though money was put aside in the bankruptcy settlement. I had to pay out of pocket to travel to 200 miles to meet an approved mobile tech to handle the recall work. I was to pay labor, but the technician did not have the tools to do the pump replacement (#1 recall), his device to test the door handle recall (#2 recall) was not functioning properly, and I had to pay to manually update my software to 2.2 (#3 recall), which did not provide the full update, only the OTA team could provide. For recall #3 (software update 2.2#) I have received 1 part of 3 updates from OTA over 2 months ago with no further update. So far, since the partial update to 2.2 my range has dramatically reduced in cold weather performance. I am getting 20-30% lower range performance than last winter. My real world range on 100% charge is less than 170 miles on a full charge. Less than 50% of EPA rated range. During the time of the OTA update I received in December I had to pay to rent vehicle, because it was to remain untouched for 48 hours while the OTA team completed the work (which they did not complete). I will need to rent another vehicle when they decide to finish completion per the recommendations to have the vehicle hooked up to a 30amp charger and left undisturbed during the 48
The vehicle's range has gone down from the original 360 miles to 220 miles on a full charge. I've owned the vehicle since Aug 2023 and it is nearly impossible for the battery to degrade that significantly. This all occurred after updating to OS2.2. My home electric usage has doubled and it's become cost prohibitive to operate the vehicle. Please advise what options are available.
While receiving an Over the Air recall update from American Leasing on my 23' Fisker Ocean One the car bricked....making it completely inoperable. Both 12v battery was good and the car had a SOC of 78 percent. American leasing hasn't responded nor to I can get the information from them.
Fisker attempted to install a software update (Software OS 2.2) to my vehicle over the air which was intended to address recall number 24V623000. This attempted software update caused the vehicle's 12 Volt battery to drain, resulting in the car activating its low battery audible alarm and damaging the battery requiring me to pay for a new battery and its installation. The software was not successfully installed. Information from others owners indicates that the software update has damaged other cars and that very few of the Fisker Ocean fleet have received the full software update. Also, several of the car's Advanced Driver Assistance System functions remain inoperative, specifically the collision avoidance systems and pedestrian warning systems, raising serious safety issues for the car. The recall 24V623000 remains unaddressed for my vehicle. Recall 24V466000 requires Fisker to test door handles and replace them if faulty. This recall service has not been performed on my car. In December of 2024, the door handle on passenger door on the driver's side of the car failed. When unlocked, the door would not open from either the outside or the inside of the car creating a safety hazard if emergency egress from the vehicle was required. I have received no communication from Fisker on how to satisfy this recall requirement. Fisker has not provided resources or service locations at which this recall can be completed. Recall 24V466000 remains unaddressed for my vehicle. Recall number
Unknown. Have you ever been afraid to drive a new very expensive vehicle? Well I can say with certainty that I have. This is why I could not wait any longer for the recalls to be “taken care of “ through Fisker. I had to pay a past Fisker technician to come to my house to do the recalls. This included almost $300 just for travel fees. Water pump recall 24V499 cost $246.88. Powertrain modules recall 24V404 and Cluster Telltales recall 24V405. Also recall numbers 24V623 and 24V865 for the “new” software recalls. Total cost $199.95 for software update to OS 2.2. I now consider my Fisker Ocean to be the vehicle that it should have been when it was delivered to me. Although now I am having to worry about water getting into some electrical components in the front right wheel well causing electrical components to fail while you are driving the vehicle. I try not to drive it in the rain and only clean it with a waterless cleaner. Lastly, I had my battery replaced (for a cost of $358.95) as the one that was used my Fisker was a below average non trustworthy one.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
