1) Since the day that I took delivery on 1/18/24, I have not had any audio- media, phone and safety warnings. This is extremely dangerous as I have no auditory warnings for any of the safety systems. I have never been able to listen to any entertainment through the speakers nor can I make a phone call, hands-free. If I have to make or take a call, I have to use Airpods- illegal while driving- or use the phone speaker, which is difficult to hear at higher speeds. In addition, 2) according to the warning lights on the dash, many of the safety systems are often inoperable. 3) Brakes sometimes fail, causing the car to continue forward after the pedal is depressed. It's extremely dangerous and very scary when it happens. 4) There is often a warning light that the 12-volt battery is low. 5) Overhead cabin lights come on while driving and make it difficult to drive when it is dark outside. 6) HVAC vents are broken/inoperable. 7) Rear mudflaps tore and are hanging. Thank you.

I am unable to find the recall information regarding my Fisker Ocean One by using my VIN of [XXX] . I have yet to receive the 2.2 software update as of yet due to a recall of my vehicle. Can you please provide me with information as to when I can receive the software update? INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Was driving down the road on multiple occasions vehicle had a loss of power going into a limp mode and slowing abruptly.
The car stopped working, is now bricked in my garage. 3 different techs came to check it and all said the car gives them weird codes. One of the techs said the front unit motor needs to be replaced which will end up costing almost $8k. but it is not guaranteed that will fix the car. This is insane. I do not know what to do, as we paid cash for it with our savings and now had to lease another car to be able to get to work.
The Over-The-Air (OTA) team pushed updates out to my car without warning...without any kind of notification. I was extremely upset as many cars from other owners got bricked. Luckily mine didn't get bricked but the full 2.2 updates did NOT get pushed. They picked and chose which modules they felt needed updated. So my car says it is at 2.2.2. I drove from Cleveland to Columbus to get my extra Key Fob and NFC cards programmed and was told (and I verified) that my PKC version was only version 09. This is so old that they were unable to even attempt to pair by fob/cards as it could brick the car. This is so disappointing and directly related to the OTA team not pushing the full 2.2 update which is supposed to address the recalls. This makes me very uncomfortable and upset not knowing if all the software recalls were completely addressed. The fact is...2.2 is supposed to address the NHTSA software recalls so that is what we should get. This is the certified version. Pushing partial updates out should not be acceptable.
Our 2023 Fisker Ocean Ultra has lost power, imperiling our family on a busy urban street. Further, after an unannounced and unauthorized software update last week, I have lost the use of the vehicle's central control screen, keeping me from controlling any functions (synchronization to my mobile telephone, the radio, how I control charging, mapping functions, and critical to the car's safe operation, HVAC and defrost).
As part of Fisker recall, Software version 2.2 was pushed to my vehicle outside of agreed window. As a result, I am ending up with Partial update. Since I do not know what was installed/not installed, I do not know if my vehicle is safe. I need Fisker to fix as soon as possible so that I feel safe on the road.
Car is unsafe to drive due to sudden power loss. Faulty water pump causes car to go into limp mode. NHTSA Campaign number 24V499000 for water pump failure. Parties responsible /assigned by the Bankruptcy court have not corrected issue. Car parked since November 15, 2024.
Car is unsafe to drive, due to sudden power loss. Faulty water pump causes car to stall/loss of power. NHTSA Campaign number 24V499000 for faulty water pump. Car has been parked since November 14, 2024. Parties responsible/assigned by the bankruptcy court to complete repairs have not contacted me to repair car. American lease/Indigo have funds/ monies for repairs.
There was a mandate that an update be performed to address safety issues with braking. The update has been partially done which has not addressed the original issue and has created other safety issues (inability to see screen, no AC control, no rear camera, no blind spot, no emergency braking).
My car was scheduled the first week of the updates. The car would not update. Afterward, the batter drain was very noticeable. Now there is no internet service for the car... not from Fisker and while I can verify it connects to my home wifi and mobile phone hotspot, it will not allow data to the car. I took this to a dealer to have the water pump replaced, the car updated, the 12v batter replaced, the t-box reset and the door handle inserts replaced. They were unable to repair the drivers door handle (the LED lights actually generate smoke) and I cannot use the NFC to enter the car. Additionally, one day while charging the vehicle, all of the door handles retracted when I closed the door and the key was in the car. Thankfully the rear hatch was not locked because my DOG WAS INSIDE! This car is dangerous and no one is helping!
I scheduled a OTA update as recommended in the recall campaigns. I was given a 48 hour window where I was unable to use the car and must keep it charged at all times. After completion I saw that the entire update was not completed. And about a week later another update came where I was not notified or scheduled at all for it. I returned to a car with a dead battery. Upon jumping the car had numerous errors and alert signs all over the display screen. ADAS was now detecting non existend obstructions in all directions and was throwing alerts constantly while driving. One two separate occassions both the drives and passenger side doors would not unlock and we had to exit via the rear doors. On another 2 incidents there was no interior lighting at night and I was unable to see the buttons to adjust my mirrors, unlock the doors, or even turn on the headlights at night. The Rear camera stopped working completely and to this day it has no signal which makes it difficult to reverse this car as the rear window is so high and small. And the remaining cameras are all failing intermittently. Furthermore the brakes have been jumpy, with some instances where the brakes did not deploy immediately but felt delayed. NHTSA recall campaign numbers are below: 24V865000 (Roll away OTA-2.0) 24V865000 (Regen Braking OTA-2.2) 24V499000 (Water pump) 24V466000 (Door Handles) 24V405000 (Warning Lights OTA-2.1) 24V404000 (MCU/VCU Loss of Power OTA-2.1
I recently encountered a series of issues with my Fisker Ocean One (FOO) following a partial software upgrade at A1 Autobody in Fremont, CA. The service center performed an incomplete software update, leaving several modules pending for over-the-air (OTA) updates to reach version 2.2. [XXX] Software Version Discrepancies Initially, my vehicle's dashboard displayed the previous 2.1 version, indicating the absence of the critical T-REX upgrade. Unexpectedly, the dashboard later showed version 2.2 (1/3) without any notification from Fisker regarding this partial update. This lack of communication left me uncertain about the status and completeness of the software installation. Fisker App Connectivity Issues Concurrently, the Fisker App ceased functioning correctly, consistently showing my car as "offline." This issue prevents me from remotely unlocking my vehicle, a significant concern given the frequent unreliability of the key fob. This problem has been reported by other Fisker owners as well. reddit.com [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] Safety and Reliability Concerns The inability to access my vehicle remotely poses safety risks, especially if the key fob fails. Additionally, the incomplete software update may affect other vehicle functionalities, potentially compromising overall safety and performance. Steps Taken and Recommendations I have attempted to resolve the app connectivity issue by reinstalling the Fisker App and re-pairing my device, but these efforts have been unsuccessful.
My car pushed required recall updates without any indication that it was coming and the next day or two the battery died and car is now showing a red light at charging port and is stuck in neutral. I only received 1/3 updates so I don’t know if that was also the issue. It was executed poorly and bricked my car. I have no idea how to unbrick it to life.
On several occasions, following update to the 2.2 S/W load to address Recall RCAK-24V405-1431, dated June 11, 2024, the vehicle braking system has been erratic with Emergency Braking System Warning lights / alarms repeatedly annunciating. I paid for the 2.2 S/W upgrade, at my cost, to address the recall requirements.
Description of Incident(s) On March 5, 2025, I discovered that my 2023 Fisker Ocean had undergone an unauthorized over-the-air (OTA) software update to version 2.2.2 without my knowledge or consent. I received no prior notification from Fisker or American Leasing, the current entity managing Fisker vehicles following the company’s bankruptcy in 2024. Additionally, I have no access to the vehicle’s cloud system or update logs to understand what changes were implemented, leaving me unable to assess the scope or purpose of the update. Following this update, I experienced two significant safety-related issues with my vehicle, detailed below. Driver’s Door Handle Overheating After the 2.2.2 update, the driver’s side door handle began exhibiting extreme overheating, reaching temperatures exceeding 130°F as measured with a non-contact infrared thermometer. This poses a serious burn hazard and makes the handle unsafe to touch for entry or exit. The issue appears to be electrical in nature, potentially related to a malfunction in the door handle actuator or power management system altered by the software update. The handle remains excessively hot even when the vehicle is powered off, suggesting a persistent fault. This defect compromises safe access to the vehicle and presents a risk of injury. Rearview Mirror Fan Constantly Running Since the update, the fan associated with the vehicle’s digital rearview mirror now runs continuously, regardless of whether the mirror is in use or the v
Too many warning issues lights coming on and off. The main/large touch-screen completely turns off and disables the driver to use HVAC and several safety features. Unwanted accelerations when going on bumps. Mileage accuracy issues.
I was upgraded to the different version by American Leasing because they control the Fisker recall. They had me on 2.2 (1/3) then 2.2.2 and then back down to 2.2.1 and now I have issues with my car. no blind spot and radr errors, and the fix for taking your foot off the brake and going over bumps is gone, the car jumps forward again
Recall for faulty software 2.1 affecting the braking: making car unsafe to drive. During the process of Over The Air update to the car, the download(2.2) made the car inopperable. car has not been able to drive since November 14, 2024 when the car was updated.
Car is unsafe to drive due to water pump failure. NHTSA campaign number: 24V499000 and door handle malfunction NHTSA CN: 24v466000. It has been many months and have not been contacted by responsible parties that have the funds through the Bankruptcy court to fix the recalls. As well the failed OTA updates that wont allow car to go into gear. NHTSA CN: 24v865000.
Car is unsafe to drive due to braking recall(faulty regen braking)(24V865000), water pump recall (loss of power )(24V99000) and door handle recall(lock in car)(24V404000). Bankruptcy court has allocated monies for Repair but i have not received any repairs or notifications from responsible parties. Car is undriveable.
Car is unsafe to drive due to faulty brakes (regen fails and car looses ability to brake) NHTSA CN: 24V865000 Car will loose power due to faulty water pump go into limp mode or stall. NHTSA CN: 24V99000 Car needs software updates for braking issue(version 2.2) and water pump replacement with updated water pump. Parties assigned/funded by Bankruptcy court have not contacted me to repair the car. it has been since parked since November of 2024.
Car looses power due to faulty water pump. NHTSA CN: 24v499000. CAR is not road worthy since it can loose power at anytime. The parties assigned/funded by the Bankruptcy court have completed the braking software updated but have not replaced the water pump per the recall. i have not had any communication to when car will be repaired.
I was scheduled for the 2.2 update (to fix various recalls) on 11/11/24, with a healthy 12V battery, connected to a tender. I left the car alone for 3 days, to be sure that there was plenty of time for the update to be pushed. When I went to drive the car on [XXX], the car would not drive. It showed to be in "N" (neutral), would not shift to park or drive, every warning light possible was lit on the dash, and the "pedestrian warning" hum was sounding. Even exiting the vehicle and locking it did not turn off the infotainment center. I was unable to move or drive the vehicle in this state, and there are NO mechanics in Arizona with a FAST tool, to diagnose or fix the car. I had a former Fisker Master Technician come change the 12V battery (which cost $305.40 for the battery, and $150 for the install), but this did not reverse the above situation. Because it was "bricked", I couldn't even charge the HV battery to keep the 12V charged, so I had to hook up a 15A maintainer to the 12V, so that the car wouldn't drain the brand new 12V. The tech also tried disconnecting the HV battery, and reconnecting it, in hopes that it would reset, but it didn't. With no FAST tools available in my state, I ultimately had to sell the vehicle at a loss of about $70,000. When the new owner tried to have it towed, the front wheels were locked, despite the car showing it was in "N" (neutral), and it had to be dragged out of the garage, and then died (12V, now no longer on a maintainer) in the street,
The car is completely bricked and will not function after an over the air update. It was functioning before the update. Additionally, I had to pay approximately $1300 for labor related to replacement of the water pump that should have beed covered under recall
Lack of Access, Inability to Use Vehicle, Out of Pocket I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000 and the OTA (Over-the-Air) update process for my vehicle. The current OTA process left me needing to replace my 12-V and forced me to pay out of pocket to get a manual update installed, which is financially burdensome. In addition, I also had to pay out of pocket to replace a recalled water pump. This has left many of us in a state of uncertainty regarding the functionality of our vehicles and forced to pay out of pocket for a mandatory free recall.

I have not received the 2.2 software update. The software delivered to my vehicle is 2.2.2, which has been communicated as an incomplete remedy of 2.2 that has not been homologated. Also, none of the hardware recalls have been addressed on my vehicle. My only local service provider does not accept any recall related work due to customers not receiving reimbursement. I do not have any available options to have my vehicle fully serviced. In addition to open recalls, I have a magnitude of issues with my vehicle, including but not limited to broken door handles, broken NFC reader, broken key fob, broken rubber trim, intermittent ADAS, intermittent reverse camera operation, and missing software features.
Car's software was updated to non-certified version (2.2.2 not 2.2). After the update was completed, my TPMS is not working. I have an error stating that it is malfunctioning. I don't feel safe driving the vehicle with a safety system, as important as this, not working.
RCLRPT-24V499-7295: NHTSA issued safety recalls for 2 parts in July of 2024. I received messages in the mail from NHTSA. Fisker went bankrupt and I am unable to get these resolved. Lack of access to FAST tool for service providers and parts for #1 and #2. 1. Inspection and potential replacement of outer door handles due to sticking and failure to open 2. replacement of cabin electric water pump due to water pump failure causing loss of drive power there are also 3 over the air updates provided through 2.2 updates to owners through Indigo. I have received that but there continue to be problems of unreliability and regression of updates to lower version.
The Fisker Inc has went for Chapter 7. The two recalls regarding the safety of the calls (recall #TSB10062408 and #TSB55062401) have not been properly deployed into my car, which were supposed adminstrated by the money given by Fisker Chapter 7 trustee to American Lease. American Lease has the duty to deployment the necessary tool and software update to my car. 6 months it has passed, my car only got partial software update and has no communication from American Lease as well as no driver side handle software to be released to Fisker qualified auto shops to replace the handle. American Leasing is demanding owners now have to pay for their software update, which should be free to owners.
None of the following recalls have been corrected/ or the update to 2.2, have been completed on my vehicle Recalls are not being done or parts provided. I am being told I have to use an approved service provider and the requires me to drive 350 mile and pay for the labor. 24V865000 (Regen Braking OTA-2.2) 24V499000 (Water pump) 24V466000 (Door Handles) 24V405000 (Warning Lights OTA-2.1) 24V404000 (MCU/VCU Loss of Power OTA-2.1)
My 2023 Fisker Ocean One (VIN [XXX] ) was in the first cohort of cars to receive the Ocean OS 2.2 update during the 24 hour period starting on [XXX]. The update seemed to have completed successfully, but six days afterwards on [XXX], I stopped for lunch after driving a few errands that morning, and afterwards I came out to my car, opened it, then stepped on the brake pedal to start up the car -- upon doing so, I noticed that the three screens in the car that control its operation -- the driver's display (above steering column), the 17" infotainment display, and the HVAC "button bar" control display were all black (not illuminated) despite the car being powered on. In this state, the car could not be shifted out of park into drive. All of the other lights in the car that should have illuminated were illuminated, so I know the car had power, and I had charged up the high voltage battery to 80% SOC the night before. I tried several times over the course of the next few hours to get the car to work, but each time, the three screens in the car remained black and not showing anything. In the end, I had the car towed back to my home, so at least I could charge the high voltage battery and put the 12v battery on a tender (as required). From this first incident of "black screens on startup" on [XXX], each day afterward, I would test the car to see if it would start up correctly -- on some days it would start up with all 3 displays booting up into a functional state, on other days, I w
Brakes not working. ABS has become defective. Manufacturer not owning repairs and vehicle is not serviceable. Nearly collided with pedestrian but emergency brake prevented accident. Was able to get vehicle home, but unusable.
Someone pushed a new over-the-air (OTA) update to the car and now it is in a perpetual state of “Installing Software” on the main screen. It has been that was for over 2 weeks. I am unable to control critical systems since the software has effectively “bricked” the car’s controls.
Unannounced, on February 12, 2025 update 2.1 was pushed to my automobile. It has amplified the already missing and malfunctioning safety features of the car. I started to receive 12v battery warnings, downhill traction warning light, sporadic ADA system failure warnings including: loss of lane departure warning and avoidance, loss of emergency braking capability, and loss of forward collision warning. The HVAC system is also malfunctioning - fan speed at start up is automatically high temperature and occasional sudden fogging of window interiors at highway speeds. The mileage remaining calculation also suddenly dropped, causing concern I would not make it home from work safely. I'm very afraid to continue driving the car: I worry it is a danger for myself and others on the road. I have been forced to take it to a service & repair center for an inspection to address the sudden low 12v power drop. I was told by the repair shop that there are outstanding safety recalls for the Fisker Ocean - why did none appear on this web page when I entered my VIN?
My vehicle received an unexpected OTA software update over the night if 12-Feb-2025. That process completely drained and destroyed the 12v battery. This resulted in the software download and installation not completing as intended. Since that time I have related the 12v battery, and the vehicle can drive, but essential all of its electrical components such as HVAC, cameras, and all software controls are non-functional and inaccessible. A service center has been unable to fix the problem and tell me it must be corrected with future OTA updates, but I have no means to identify, let alone contact those responsible for those updates.
I had to pay out of pocket NHSTA safety recall service for water pump replacement and mandatory vehicle safety software update. This is wrong and I demand investigations and refunds.
There were three times that after I had the car in park and tried to get out that I was unable to open the driver door to exit. The driver door out side handle did not automatically pop out to allow me to exit. I tried locking and unlocking the door internally and also tried with the car on and in park. On one occasion the window was stuck closed, probably because of icing. I ended up crawling over to the passenger side to get out. On the other occasions the door handle was popped out but I had to open the window and open the door using the outside handle. Frequently, the driver door handle won't go back in until after I have been driving for a few minutes. This seems to be the only handle with the issue of "sticking" either popped in or popped out. Occasionally when I lock it using the key fob, all the handles go in except the driver side. When I give it a little push from the outside it will go back in. At 2600 miles the NFC reader in the door handle stopped working. It is my understanding that the door handle recall was already performed on this vehicle. It is my belief that the vehicle is not better off after the recall. And that the $100 being offered to perform a door handle recall is far below the real world cost of such a service. Not to mention most techs can't get in and out of the door without leaving some damage to the panels or clips. I believe the recall on this vehicle for the door handles should not be considered completed. Or it should be reopened. There is a
My vehicle has been undrivable for the past 4-5 months. It started when I was leaving my work's parking lot after removing the car from the chargepoint charging station. The vehicle suddenly started stalling and gaining power when I was accelerating then losing power afterwards. I readily parked in one of the spots, exited the vehicle, locked it and unlocked it after a few minutes in hopes that it would turn on and work normally. The car would turn on, I would put the vehicle into "D" and when accelerating, the vehicle would go into "N" automatically making me lose traction and the car going forward and scaring me to death as my car was on a spot in front of a valley. Thankfully I was able to press the break quickly and and turn on the "hand brake". Now the vehicle decided to work again, but I'm extremely scared this issue will happen again and I don't feel safe. There were other times that in city the auto brake activated (as if I hit a vehicle) with having no vehicles in front of me. Other times when the "Hold" breaking system would be engaged with the gentlest taps on the brake and then the car would just go into park even I wasn't parking the vehicle (both times when the car was in movement becoming a hazard if people behind me kept accelerating). Now I just received the SW update 2.2.2 in my car but I'm not confident my vehicle is fine. My HVAC vents don't work and I can't even have my cabin heated as I'm worried about the water pump going out. I haven't received any sup
After receiving 2.2.2 update by OTA team, my vehicle now doesn’t charge. It won’t recognize the charging stations I’ve tried using. I’ve tried exiting the vehicle, turn off and on, and trying again in and out of the vehicle and charging does not commence. Please help! This vehicle is so expensive and the OTA team is taking advantage of us in the US to fix bugs in the software. We are suffering with the poor preparation and support. Now if my car dies because I can’t charge it, I will have a bigger headache by having to replace my HV and my 12V battery.
OTA Update pushed to vehicle caused the vehicle to stop responding to any external signal. Doors will not unlock or open. Vehicle is completely unusable.
Unexpectedly was updated from software version 2.1 to 2.2.1 that has since caused my braking to become harder to make complete stops and increased the brakes being stuck during the stopping process. It has also brought on issues with my regen brake's ability and my range has decreased dramatically. Additionally, I now have multiple status error signs on my front display due to front sensor not detecting and hill mode being activated.
My complaint is regarding the handling of the following NHTSA campaigns on my 2023 Fisker Ocean One: 24V865000 (Regen Braking OTA-2.2) 24V499000 (Water pump) 24V466000 (Door Handles) After 4 months there has been zero communication from the OTA team and the trustee regarding the OTA and physical repair work needed to address these safety defects. My vehicle is on software 2.0 and received 2.2 (1/3) unannounced on 2/12/25. There was no notice of this update other than an on-screen message after the fact, nor does it drive any differently. It does not appear to have fixed anything. Seeking your assistance in getting clarify and a timeline for the completion of these recalls.
This is a second and new complaint. After an unannounced over the air update my ICC module is now on constant boot loop Center screen. Fisker logo appears a blank backlit screen is present for about five minutes and then everything tries to reboot speedometer cluster screen above the steering wheel included. I will now have to travel to the nearest service center to have it repaired at my expense. I would like to add that while I’m there, I will be asking for a manual 2.2 update. The reason for making this point is that if the OTA team is pushing unannounced updates what is to ensure that after this expensive repair my ICC does not get compromised again by updating a car that I’ve already had updated manually.
I am still waiting on full OTA 2.2. I have been on 2.2.1 for weeks now with no communication as to when, or if, I will ever receive the mandated update. I drive my Fisker every day and experience the failed breaking when trying to stop on rough terrain, bumps, or holes in the road. This was supposed to be addressed in recall 24V865000. I am still waiting for replacement of my water pump from recall 24V499000 I am still waiting for testing and replacement of my door handles from recall 24V466000 I have constant ADAS warning lights popping up about failed RADAR system, charging port open (even though it is not), etc., from recall 24V405000 I also haven't had blind spot monitoring in months.
REGENERATIVE BRAKING ISNT WORKING. I NEED A SOFTWARE UPDATE.
In Aug 2024, the NHTSA (Campaign # 24V499) issued a Voluntary Safety Recall Campaign for the 2023-24 Fisker Ocean One's Cabin Electric Water Pump. I had my 2023 Fisker Ocean One's water pump replaced by a mobile technician that charged $256.88 plus $224.85 for travel for the water pump replacement (more than the Liquidating Trustee's Designee's $175 allowance). The technician also checked all door handles at no charge, and they tested OK. Therefore, I am out of pocket $481.73 minus the $175 allowance...which I'm still uncertain when I will receive the $175 allowance.
Lights in vehicle stays on, collision warning disabled it self.
I received a recall notice number 24V499 regarding a faulty cabin electric water pump that can cause the car to go into limp mode which limits its speed to 10-20 mph. This happened to me on a 55mph road. I have not heard how or when this electric water pump will be replaced. The recall says “Fisker will replace the cabin electric water pumps on affected customer vehicles with a new pump…”

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
