Defect. Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2019-2026 vehicles. Please see the recall report for a complete list of models. A software error may prevent the rearview camera image from displaying as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Risk. A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will update the software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 14, 2026. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 90TV. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on December 23, 2025.

Defect. Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2022-2023 RS E-TRON GT and E-TRON GT vehicles. The passenger occupant detection system (PODS) may experience a fault in the wiring and deactivate the front passenger air bag when the seat is occupied.

Risk. A deactivated passenger air bag increases the risk of injury during a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the seat cushion, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 15, 2025. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 74HC.

Defect. Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2022-2024 E-TRON GT, and RS E-TRON GT vehicles. The high-voltage battery may experience a short circuit within the battery module.

Risk. A short circuit in a high-voltage battery module increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Dealers will install advanced diagnostic software as the final remedy free of charge. For vehicles where on-line data is available (Audi recall number 931A), as an interim measure, the vehicles will be monitored through online data evaluation at no cost to owners. Where the online data shows a potentially critical battery module, the owner will be contacted and advised to only charge the vehicle up to 80% charging capacity until the affected module can be replaced at an authorized Audi dealer, free of charge. For vehicles where online-data is not available (Audi recall number 931B), as an interim measure, dealers will perform diagnostic procedures and, if necessary, replace battery module assemblies, free of charge. Owners of these vehicles will also be advised to only charge their vehicle up to 80% charging capacity, and the inspection may have to be repeated before the software becomes available. Owner notification letters were mailed to Audi recall number 931A on July 24, 2025, and 931B was mailed on July 28, 2025. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's numbers for this recall are 931A and 931B. This recall expands and replaces previous recall numbers 24V-229, and 24V-228. Vehicles previously repaired under the prior recalls will need to have the new remedy completed.

Defect. Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Audi RS E-Tron GT and Audi E-Tron GT vehicles. The front axle brake hoses can develop tears, causing a leak and a brake circuit failure.

Risk. A failed brake circuit can cause longer brake pedal travel and reduced braking performance, extending the distance required to stop and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the front axle brake hoses, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 6, 2024. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number for this recall is 47UP.

Defect. Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2022-2024 RS e-tron GT, e-tron GT, Q4 e-tron Sportback, Q4 e-tron, 2020-2021 Audi A8, 2019-2024 e-tron Quattro, 2020-2024 e-tron Sportback Quattro, Q5, and 2021-2022 A7 vehicles. When using the industrial 220V/240V plug at the 100% charge setting, some home power outlets may be incapable of handling the electrical current required to utilize the compact charging system, causing the outlet or charging cable to overheat.

Risk. An overheated outlet or charging cable can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Owners are advised not to use the 220V/240V compact/portable charging cable and only use the 110V home charging cable or public charging stations. Dealers will supply a new 220V/240V compact/portable charging cable with an incorporated temperature sensor, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 28, 2024. Defect. Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Audi) is recalling certain 2023 Audi RS E-Tron GT and E-Tron GT vehicles. The high-voltage battery may have an insufficient amount of sealant, which can allow liquid to accumulate in the battery.

Risk. Liquid accumulation in the high voltage battery can cause electrical arcing, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Dealers will test the battery for leakage and replace the battery as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 30, 2023. Owners may contact Audi's customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 93T7.

I own a 2023 Audi e-tron GT Premium Plus, VIN [XXX]. The vehicle was included in NHTSA Recall 24V726 / Audi Recall 931A concerning high-voltage battery modules that may internally short and create a fire risk. Audi previously completed the 931A remedy by installing the advanced HV battery monitoring software. After the recall remedy was completed, the vehicle displayed an Electrical System Malfunction and the Battery Energy Module reported: “Hybrid/high-voltage battery – Cell module 20 faulty.” I have photographic evidence of this fault, although I later cleared the DTC. Audi’s 24V726 documentation states that the final monitoring software is designed to detect future HV battery module anomalies and that affected modules will be replaced when anomalies are identified. I presented the issue to an authorized Audi dealership and requested diagnosis of Module 20 to determine whether it represents the condition associated with Recall 24V726. The dealership refused to evaluate the HV battery because the vehicle has a rebuilt title. I also contacted Audi of America. Audi stated that Recall 931A is already completed because the monitoring software was installed. My concern is not that the software was never installed. My concern is that the vehicle developed a potentially serious HV battery module fault after installation of the recall remedy, and Audi/dealer have not determined whether Module 20 is the battery anomaly the recall monitoring system was designed to detect. While driving my children to school, the vehicle suffered a sudden and complete electrical malfunction in the middle of moving traffic. The vehicle began violently rising and falling. It became inoperable and stopped in the roadway. The door locks failed and would not release — my children were trapped inside a disabled vehicle in live traffic. The only opening that would function was the driver's window. I had to pull my children out through the driver's side window, one at a time, into the road, with traffic around us, in order to get them out of the car. That is not an inconvenience or a quality complaint. That is a safety failure with children in the vehicle, and it is the direct result of a defect that Audi has still not repaired. All motherboards had to be replaced

The Audi e-tron GT contains a design defect where the 12v battery cannot be charged in the event it becomes depleted. The battery is stored in the front trunk, but this can only be opened when the car has electrical power - there is no manual release. This leaves the vehicle immobilized to the point it must be towed to a dealer using special equipment because the four wheel drive train is locked in position when de-powered. This is a safety issue because it will leave a driver unexpectedly stranded in a remote location or otherwise unable to use their vehicle in an emergency situation. There is no way to mitigate this risk (e.g. via routine replacement of 12v battery) because any electrical fault separate from the battery itself is sufficient. In my case, a malfunctioning light switch caused a parasitic drain on the 12v leaving the car totally immobilized. I was unable to start the car and it took two days for Audi to send a tow truck with the correct equipment to tow the vehicle. It then took them several weeks to diagnose and resolve the problem. Meanwhile, there are thousands of similar components on the car that could potentially cause the same issue to reoccur. The Porsche Taycan, which shares the same platform as the e-tron GT, allows the front trunk to be opened by connecting jumper cables to a fuse box in the driver's side foot well after accessing the passenger cabin with a manual key. The 12v battery in the front trunk can then be charged so the car can be driven in

I am submitting this complaint regarding Audi’s continued failure to complete an active safety recall repair on my vehicle despite extended possession of the car and multiple representations that required parts were available or imminent. My vehicle has been continuously out of service for over four months while awaiting completion of a battery recall repair. During this time, Audi and the authorized dealership have repeatedly provided estimated timelines for repair completion based on expected parts deliveries. These timelines have consistently been missed. Most recently, Audi corporate confirmed that all required parts were expected to arrive by 12/12/25. However, Audi Parts Distribution has delivered only partial components on multiple occasions. Specifically, mounting harnesses have been delivered twice, but the required coolant hoses necessary to complete the battery installation have not been included. As a result, the vehicle remains unrepaired and inoperable. At no point has Audi provided a clear explanation of the full scope of repairs being performed, a definitive list of required components, or a reliable completion timeline based on confirmed parts availability. Communication has consisted primarily of assurances regarding ETAs that have proven inaccurate. The vehicle has now been unavailable for more than one-third of the calendar year and more than 12 percent of the total time I have owned it. My 2023 Audi e-Tron GT has been subject to a recall since September 30, 2024 for possible fire risks associated with its electric batteries, yet Audi still has not announced a solution in the past seven months. Instead, Audi recommends charging the battery to not more than 80% capacity, which significantly limits the vehicle's range. Why has AUdi not been pushed to either fix the problem or compensate owners of affected vehicle, and what is the NHTSA doing about it?

The contact leased a 2023 Audi E-Tron GT. The contact stated that the message that the battery power was reduced to 70 percent was displayed. The contact stated that the battery failed to charge above 70 percent. The reduced performance warning light was illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V726000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 9,826. Parts distribution disconnect.

There is an outstanding recall on my vehicle and Audi are not able to complete the recall for over 30 days. I am currently only able to charge the car to 70% for concern that the vehicle will catch fire. As a result the range of the vehicle has been reduced. I have contacted AudiUSA, who said it is not their issue but rather a problem with my dealer. My car's range has been reduced to 120 miles.

Multiple alerts reported by the car's system for electrical malfunction and steering wheel dysfunction. These alerts keep coming at least 3 times a week. Car has been to the dealership, Audi of Raleigh who has inspected the car 3 times and unable to find the problem. It would seem that the elctric malfunction and steering malfunction would be safety risks to keep driving the car

The heating system failed and continue to blow cold air, No warnings lights, just unable to blow hot air. it's unsafe since this vehicle being operated in extreme cold temperature. Canada has issues a recall for it.
