Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia and 2018-2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio vehicles. The fuel pump may fail, which can result in a loss of fuel flow and loss of drive power.

Risk. A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the fuel delivery module, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed October 7, 2025. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2017-2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia and 2021-2024 Alfa Romeo Stelvio vehicles. The tire pressure and size information on the tire placard and manufacturer labels are incorrect. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

Risk. Incorrect tire information can result in under-inflated tires or installing the incorrect-size tires, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. FCA will mail corrected tire placards and manufacturer overlay labels. Owners may bring the labels into a dealer for free installation. Some interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed August 27, 2024. Owner notification letters were mailed August 5, 2024 through November 1, 2024. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2017-2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia, 2018-2025 Alfa Romeo Stelvio, 2019-2023 Fiat 500X, Jeep Renegade, and 2024 Fiat 500E vehicles. A seat belt buckle switch sensor may be improperly connected, preventing the front seat air bag from deploying as intended.

Risk. A front seat air bag that does not deploy as intended can increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will repair the connection, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning August 27, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 82B.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2017-2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia and 2018-2020 Alfa Romeo Stelvio vehicles equipped with carbon ceramic matrix brakes. During certain driving maneuvers, the brake system may exert an excessive clamp force that may fracture the rotor, decreasing the brake performance.

Risk. An unexpected decrease in brake performance increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will update the brake system module (BSM) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 20, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 68A.

Defect. Alfa Romeo (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Giulia and Stelvio vehicles. The Body Control Module (BCM) may indicate an inaccurate fuel level that displays higher than the actual amount.

Risk. The vehicle may be operated without enough fuel in the tank causing a stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Alfa Romeo will notify owners, and dealers will update the BCM software, free of charge. The recall began August 12, 2019. Owners may contact Alfa Romeo customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Alfa Romeo's number for this recall is V84.

Defect. FCA US LLC (Alfa Romeo) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio and 2017-2019 Giulia vehicles. The Brake System Module (BSM) software may prevent the driver from disabling the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) after the traction control system detects a specific wheel slip.

Risk. The driver's inability to deactivate the ACC can increase the risk of crash.

Remedy. Alfa Romeo has notified owners, and dealers will update the BSM software, free of charge. The recall began March 25, 2019. Owners may contact Alfa Romeo customer service 1-800-853-1403. The Alfa Romeo number for this recall is V27.

Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia vehicles equipped with GME 280HP engines and All Wheel Drive ("AWD"). The brake fluid line may contact a coolant hose clamp, possibly causing brake fluid to leak onto the exhaust.

Risk. Brake fluid leaking onto the exhaust can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will install a bracket on the brake fluid line to prevent contact with the coolant hose clamp. If damage is found on the brake line, it will be replaced, free of charge. The recall began January 10, 2019. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia and 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio vehicles, equipped with 2.0L engines. These engines may misfire causing the catalytic converter to overheat, possibly resulting in damage to the nearby wiring and engine components.

Risk. Heat damage to the engine compartment wiring or components can increase the risk of a fire or it can cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicles for diagnostic codes, and update the engine control module software, free of charge. The recall began October 10, 2018. Defect. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio vehicles. The braking system on these vehicles may have been filled with contaminated brake fluid, possibly damaging the system and affecting its performance.

Risk. A reduction in braking performance can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Alfa Romeo will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the braking system, replacing it as necessary, free of charge. The recall began February 1, 2018. Owners may contact Alfa Romeo customer service at 1-844-253-2872. Chrysler's number for this recall is T84.

On October 13, 2026, while driving my 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti home from work at night in dry weather, the vehicle’s lights began flickering and then the headlights went out while the vehicle was moving. I suddenly could not see the road and nearly had an accident. The problem is intermittent, and the lights later resumed operating, but the vehicle is unsafe to drive at night. This vehicle has a history of electrical problems involving flickering lights and loss of power. Alfa Romeo and FIAT of Maple Shade previously replaced the Body Control Module (BCM) for the same original problem, but the problem continued. The dealership later kept the vehicle for more than one month. Repair Order 032539 states that the vehicle had been towed in with “no power” and “electrical issues” and that multiple communication codes between modules were found for low voltage. The dealership replaced an aftermarket battery with an OEM Alfa Romeo battery and performed a proxy alignment, but the electrical and lighting problem has returned. The dealership also advised me that water had been entering around the windshield and affecting the vehicle’s electrical system. The windshield was subsequently replaced, but the lights continue to flicker and have now gone out while driving in dry conditions. I am concerned that moisture exposure, wiring, connectors, the replacement BCM, the charging system or another unresolved electrical defect may cause the headlights or other electrical systems to fail again

Vehicle: 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia, VIN [XXX] Recall: NHTSA 25V-586 (FCA/Stellantis Recall 93C): Fuel Delivery Module / fuel pump I received FCA's safety recall notice for recall 93C. It states the fuel pump can fail and cause a loss of drive power, which can cause a crash without warning. The notice tells me to schedule the free repair with an authorized Alfa Romeo dealer, but the remedy is not available to me in practice. I contacted every authorized dealer in my area, all 1.5 to 2+ hours from my home: •Livermore Alfa Romeo, Livermore, CA: 21 customers ahead of me, no date given. •Alfa Romeo of San Jose, San Jose, CA: 12 customers ahead, about a 4-month wait. •Alfa Romeo of Marin, San Rafael, CA: no parts available. I contacted Alfa Romeo Premium Care (case number [XXX]), and they referred me back to the dealers. FCA has offered no interim fix, no loaner or rental, and no firm repair date. I have to keep driving a vehicle with an acknowledged loss-of-power defect for up to 4 months. I am asking NHTSA to review whether FCA is supplying enough remedy parts and dealer capacity for recall 25V-586, and whether owners facing long delays should be given alternate transportation. My Alfa Romeo with VIN [XXX] has an active recall 93C (NHTSA Recall 25V586) related to the Fuel Delivery Module. The recall specifically states that this issue can lead to a sudden loss of drive power while driving and possibly result in a crash. Due to the closure of the dealership in San Antonio where I live and purchased the car, the nearest Alfa Romeo authorized service center is in Austin, Texas. This is a distance of 125 miles from my home and involves primarily driving on highways with 70 mph speed limits. Because this is a critical safety recall, I have already scheduled an appointment with this dealer for the repair; however, when I contacted Alfa Romeo to inquire about arranging a tow from my home to the authorized repair center.,they would only cover the cost of towing the vehicle up to 15 miles. They quoted that I would need to pay an out of pocket cost of more than $1000 to have the vehicle towed for the recall repair. Forcing me to pay over $1000 or drive my vehicle 120 miles at highway speeds while there is an open stall/loss-of-power recall creates an unreasonable safety risk and illegal financial barrier. The contact owns a 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V586000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The contact stated that while driving at various speeds on approximately five occasions, the vehicle went into LIMP Mode, lost motive power, and stalled on some occasions. The check engine warning light and the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) warning light were illuminated twice. The contact stated that while attempting to accelerate, the vehicle failed to accelerate above 30 MPH. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed and determined to have a Co pump module failure because the pressure was too high and the Co pump module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,100.

The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where a temporary workaround was performed; however, the vehicle became inoperable shortly after being started and driven. No further repairs were completed. Vehicle is affected by FCA recall 93C / NHTSA recall 25V-586 for Fuel Delivery Module / fuel pump failure that can cause fuel starvation and unexpected loss of motive power. NHTSA recall lookup shows the recall is incomplete and the remedy is not yet available. The vehicle is already symptomatic. It has active DTC P008A / low-pressure fuel system pressure too low, check engine light, and Start/Stop unavailable. It also has drivability symptoms: inconsistent acceleration, hesitation/poor response, and sometimes failing to restart after stopping in traffic, such as at traffic lights. This creates a risk of the vehicle being disabled in traffic or losing motive power without adequate warning. The dealer stated final recall parts are not available. Dealer offered only a no-charge interim fuel pump control module replacement, but quoted approximately $1,117 to replace the low-pressure fuel pump assembly / Fuel Delivery Module and O-ring. FCA/dealer has not provided written authorization for no-charge interim FDM replacement, has not guaranteed reimbursement if the owner pays now, has not provided alternate transportation, and has not provided a written safety determination that the vehicle is safe to operate while symptomatic. This issue appears long-known. FCA issued a P008A low-pressure fuel system service bulletin in 2018, NHTSA opened investigation PE24003 in January 2024, and recall 25V-586 was not filed until September 2025. Active recall: NHTSA Recall Number 25V-586. My car has now failed twice in traffic and is not safe to drive.

NHTSA RECALL #25V-586 Around September of 2025, I notified Alfa Romeo Customer service that my vehicle was experiencing symptoms of this recall. Symptoms include but are not limited to severe fuel pump whine that fluctuates with RPM, as well as intermittent LOMP. The whine is audible 100% of the time. The LOMP occurs intermittently, primarily shortly after starting the vehicle. On multiple occasions, I have to pull my vehicle to the side of the road because it is unable to effectively move under it's own power. Along with this LOMP, symptoms experienced are a heavy misfire along with a few service messages such as "Auto start unavailable, service electronic throttle, and service engine" along with a flashing check engine light. The fix appears to be power cycling the battery so that the fuel pump primes multiple times. I have called Alfa Romeo multiple times about this issue over the last few months, but all they tell me is that they cannot do anything until a remedy is available. Unfortunately, given the wait, symptoms have progressively gotten worse.

The contact stated that while at a complete stop on several occasions, the engine abnormally revved to 1,100-1,400 RPMs. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed low speed on a ramp, the vehicle accelerated unintendedly and failed to decelerate while the brake pedal was depressed. Additionally, the contact stated that while at a complete stop at the red light, the engine revved, and the vehicle accelerated unintendedly while the brake pedal was depressed and struck another stopped vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. No police report was filed. The contact's vehicle sustained minor damage, while the other vehicle did not sustain damage. There was no warning light illuminated. There were no reported injuries. Both vehicles were drivable after the incident. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was test-driven, but the failure could not be duplicated. A third-party contractor, sent by the manufacturer, performed an evaluation of the vehicle and sent the raw data report to the contact. The contact noticed that the crash incident date listed on the report was March 4, 2026, while the incident occurred on April 4, 2026. The contact informed the third-party contractor of the error, and the contact was concerned that the contractor had pulled the wrong data because the incident date listed was incorrect. The manufacturer later sent a summary of the evaluation report to the contact, stating that the reported incident

Been waiting to have this recall repaired for months. I started the car and excessive amount of fuel was injected into the combustion chamber, cause a smoke cloud.

NHTSA #25V-586 Recall #93C 2017-2019 ALFA ROMEO GIULIA, 2018-2019 ALFA ROMEO The vehicle has been experiencing inconsistent fuel readings, an electronic throttle control fault, and a service engine warning. When the electronic throttle control fault occurs, the vehicle loses power, stalls, and struggles to accelerate, which raises concerns about its suitability for commuting. On several occasions, while driving on highways, my vehicle has experienced loss of power, resulting in a significant reduction in speed. This has necessitated extended commute times on streets due to the apprehension of causing accidents. Consequently, I have had to miss several workdays in an attempt to address this issue. Initially, I resorted to using rental vehicles out of pocket until a solution for this recall was found. However, despite my efforts, there has been no resolution, and I am left with concerns about driving my vehicle and potentially causing an accident due to the lack of safety measures or the ongoing financial burden of renting vehicles until a solution for the recall is implemented. Despite multiple attempts to schedule a repair, there has been no resolution, and the date for bringing the vehicle in for inspection continues to be postponed. Despite multiple attempts to schedule a repair, no resolution has been achieved. The date to bring the vehicle in for inspection has been repeatedly postponed, and the date for inspection is now April 1st, 2026.

I have been waiting for months received a letter from Alfa Romeo sent them my details, for them to get in touch with me when the remedy for this potential dangerous fault to be rectified. Many crashes have taken place, as the car could potentially cut out whilst on the highways. For Alfa Romeo to leave me in a state where this car could cut out without warning at any stage is not unacceptable. I have to use my car for work, and I am having to resort to using other means with the fear this car could cut out on me on the freeways. They have failed to respond to my email or have they sent me a followup letter to get my car booked in and fixed.

THE REAR VIEW CAMERA IS TOTALLY DARK AND I CANNOT SEE ANYTHING WHILE IT IS ENGAGED. THERE IS A RECALL ALREADY FOR SOME MODEL YEARS BUT NOT FOR MY ALFA ROMEO GUILIA 2018. I WANT THIS YEAR TO BE INLCUDED IN THE RECALL ALSO.

After towing my vehicle to Alfa Romeo of Mariettea on November 4th for recall 82B (seatbelt), my car immediately developed throttle hesitation, check-engine light, and start/stop warning light. These issues were not present before the service. Recall 93C (fuel delivery module) remains open, but the timing of these new problems indicates they arose from the 82B service. The dealership and Alfa Romeo have refused interim assistance, leaving my car unsafe to drive. Requested Actions: 1. Inspection and repair of the post-service throttle and engine issues. 2. Interim transportation (loaner or reimbursement) while 93C is pending. I have documented all communications with the dealership and Alfa Romeo Customer Care. The problems appeared immediately after the 82B recall service and were not present before.

This is a follow up for complaint #11693742 issued on October 16, 2025. I picked up my car from the dealership (Jim Ellis Alfa Romeo Atlanta) after the nearly $5k repair that they stated was due to an Oil Pump failure not the Fuel Pump failure as indicated by the Stellantis Recall, only to find that they falsified information on the paperwork description. They left out the information that I gave them when I told them that the dashboard displayed the following warning lights: ETC, Auto Start-Stop Unavailable, and Check Engine. They wrote only the Check Engine light was reported. They falsely stated that only the Check Engine light was illuminated, when in reality all three of the aforementioned warning lights were displayed the very morning that I had the car loaded on the tow truck. Please investigate Stellantis/Alfa Romeo for possibly misleading and falsifying information in order to have consumers foot the bill for repair for a fix for power loss due to a Fuel Pump failure when in actually it is an Oil Pump failure, or an Oil Pump failure that they are falsely claiming a Fuel Pump issue. This repair cost me about as much as the cost of a used 2018 Alfa Romeo, and the company is making enough money of this repair such that when they do honor the recall repair, then it won't cost them anything. It seems easy to me that if they is a Fuel Pump failure that is resulting in a recall, then the easy fix (that Stellantis should cover the cost) is to replace the fuel pump.

At night, with headlights set to AUTO, the headlights (right and left) will randomly turn of and on while driving. This could render my vehicle momentarily invisible to other drivers around me. Dealer confirmed the issue is the headlights. 70,000 mile service was just completed prior the the issues fist occurrence. No warnings or messages before the first incident.

On multiple occasions over last 3 years, vehicle has lost power while driving. Each repair service has credited it to batteries needing replacement and losing power. Have replaced batteries and kept them plugged in when car is parked at home. No longer driving car as it is not safe.

While driving 15-20mph, warning lights: Check Engine, Auto Start-Stop Unavailable, and ETC, all began to sequentially cycle. The car's ability to accelerate significantly decreased, even achieving 30-40mph was laborious. Once on the highway, the car was significantly slower and the power was obvious. The car took a long time to reach 55mph and was going over that speed. I had the car towed to dealership the next day, for I was afraid that it was the fuel pump failure and felt the car wouldn't make the 75mi drive. After a few days, the dealership said that the ETC Code wasn't the fuel pump, but the oil pump causing the power loss. They said that Alfa Romeo had many models have oil pump failures, and it requires engine tear down to replace the oil pump and cost about $5000. Alfa Romeo Customer Care stated there is no recall for this problem, so one has to pay the $5k for the repair. I think Alfa Romeo knows the true cause of the power loss problem and the remedy, and using the oil pump as a loophole to make the consumer pay for a problem that they should cover the cost of repair. My car is at Jim Ellis Alfa Romeo in Atlanta, Georgia.

The contact's husband owns a 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia. The contact stated that while her husband was driving 60 MPH, several braking system warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel, including the ABS warning light. Upon depression of the brake pedal, the brake pedal depressed to the floorboard, and the braking system failed to operate as needed. Due to the failure, the contact's husband activated the hazard lights and coasted the vehicle to the residence. Upon exiting the vehicle, the contact saw brake fluid leaking underneath the passenger’s side of the vehicle. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed to the dealer; the contact was informed that the hydraulic braking system had failed and needed to be replaced. The dealer also informed the contact that the vehicle was previously serviced under NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V828000 (Engine and Engine Cooling, Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the vehicle was no longer covered under the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle remained in the possession of the dealer unrepaired. The failure mileage was approximately 66,000.

The contact owns a 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start. The check engine and service electric throttle warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the failure had occurred while it was hot outside. The contact was stranded and sat in the inoperable vehicle. In addition, the contact was pregnant and very uncomfortable sitting in an inoperable vehicle. The contact waited in the vehicle while waiting for the tow truck. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V586000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 69,500.

There were several code error messages describing a fuel pump issue that also creates other engine components to fail. For my concern of the safety my life, I paid to tow my vehicle directly to the car dealership service department to be inspected and am currently waiting to be contacted of their findings. In order to be able to move my car from blocking traffic and out of harm's way, the error codes had to be erased. I took pictures of the error codes prior to erasing and provided them to the service department for their review. Warning lamps and messages flashed simultaneously when my vehicle ceased to function. While driving my 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio September 16, 2025, the engine ceased to function under legal normal driving conditions for no apparent reason. The engine immediately turned itself off, and both the steering wheel and vehicle was locked in place (unable to move). This event jeopardized me, and other affected drivers' lives. It was only due to the quick reaction of defensive driving attentiveness that prevented the potential collision of multiple vehicles including loss of life/lives. I had taken my vehicle to the same service department previously in November 2024 for the exact same type of issue (ceased vehicle, locked in place steering wheel and vehicle). However, because error messages were erased, the service department would not be able to know what steps were needed to fix the problem and that I should bring back my vehicle with error code

UNKNOWN, driving down a busy road and check engine light popped up and service electronic throttle system as well car stalled in the middle of the road and would not start when I tried to it would crank but not start. I noticed this incident was occurring in the past when I was close to half a tank of gas but now it’s occurring when I’m at 3/4 tank. I already addressed the possible issue of being a weak battery as I had to spend $250 on a new battery and the next day it happened again. After going through the forums and speaking with dealers they all have the same diagnosis that the fuel pump is going out. I would buy a fuel pump and replace it myself but you have to replace the module with it and have to have a very expensive scanner to sync the two together.

When driving on the highway, the car completely stalled. Without warning service engine and service transmission light illuminated on instrument cluster. P008a low fuel pressure. Safety was put at risk. Unable to move car safely away from traffic at night. The car was just serviced at an alpha romeo dealership three weeks prior with similar symptoms for the 3rd time. After brief research, this seems to be a common issue with these car.

The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.

Vehicle has a known issue with fuel pump which causes it to randomly turn off. Mine stopped in the middle of a busy service road and I had to get towing and police to help with getting the car off the road and diverting traffic. The car has turned off several other times as well, but the incident on 8/8 was documented via tow receipt.

Alfa Romeo Giulia (and Stelvio) models have an exposed powertrain ground strap under the vehicle body. Because of the exposed position of the ground strap it is prone to corrosion which causes the fine wire braid of the ground strap to become brittle and break. Breaking of the strands of wire is further accelerated due to the acute 90 degree bend in the ground strap routing resulting in wire fatigue. When the ground strap fails it is typical the vehicle may not start. With continued attempts to start, alternate grounding paths may be sought by the current from the starting circuit. This results in substantial and expensive damage to other wiring and electrical components within the engine bay. Alfa Romeo is aware of design flaw of exposed ground strap and the resulting damage from their choice of placement (and lack of protection of the ground strap). Both my 2018 Giulia nd 2023 Stelvio Quadrifoglio have this exposed ground strap design. My 2018 Giulia has failed ground strap. Alfa Romeo will advise that washing the underside of the vehicle is required to keep ground strap free of corrosion. This is not a solution and underbody rinses are typically one spray bar in the car wash and this is insufficient to clean the woven ground strap braid. Alfa Romeo should be forced to issue a recall and remedy this design oversight.

The vehicle has a CEL, takes longer than normal to start and shakes at idle. It has also lost motive power while idling and stalled a few times while on the road. I believe this is related to a low-pressure fuel pump failure. The car was taken to the dealership where they confirmed a failing fuel pump. Alfa Romeo released a Technical Service Bulletin but the dealership quoted over $2,000 for the repair with no ETA on the part which should be a recall. Please add this complain to the ongoing investigation and hope to have a resolution soon for my own safety.

Fuel pump issues have caused my car to create unsafe driving. My etc system kicks on and off while driving which causes massive loss of power then accelerates to the point of red line. it's like I'm putting my pedal to the floor in traffic when trying to inch up. Fuel lump is on order for me but has been on back order for more than 3 months with no date of shipment. Dealership said car was OK to drive but could ultimately cut off and not start back up till this part is replaced.

My fuel pump has been failing multiple times over the last 4 months. It has left me stranded in the middle of intersections, freeways, and highways on multiple occasions that has cause back up traffic and areas of the road completely closed until I can move my car. I have had this car diagnosed twice with a certified mechanic shop and a master tech with these issues and it is confirmed both times that I need a new fuel pump. When contacted Alfa Romeo/ Mike Ward dealership for review, diagnostic scans, and part replacement they told me it could be a couple of weeks until my car can even be looked at. Both my shop and the dealership have told me that this part is on back order with no ETA and no possible way of getting that part so my car can be functional. These issues first appeared when I would accelerate from a complete stop and it would take a few seconds for my car to begin moving. This slowly progressed into my check engine light, auto start/ stop error light, electric throttle error light, and front crash detection light have all turned on and remained on for about 2 months until the car began dying in the middle of the street. This had come to be so servers that the car is now no longer drivable and each time it is driven it dies within a few minutes of driving.Again since there is no ETA there is no way for me to fix my car, this is my only mode of transportation and it has left me ain multiple dangerous situations and now with no transportation now that Alfa Romeo is

The contact was informed that the fuel pump and the fuel pump module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but did not assist. The failure mileage was approximately 29,000.

I was in an accident with another vehicle where my car rear ended theirs. It a pretty bad damage because my car is totaled. The seatbelt never locked and my airbag never deployed, causing me to go headfirst into my wheel and followed my chest. I was escorted to the hospital due to those injures. I was never notified of a recall from either dealership, which they have failed me because there was nothing there to support my body. There were no warning signs or anything of that sort to let me know there was an issue. I never heard anything from Alfa Romeo or Reed Nissan after they did an inspection on my vehicle. I am highly disappointed and suffering from traumatic pain and injury from this.

The vehicle was eventually restarted; however, while driving approximately 50 MPH on a freeway, the vehicle stalled again. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who diagnosed that the fuel pump had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The contact was informed of the NHTSA Action Number: PE24003 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 19,200.

After a 3 hour drive I had parked curb-side on a busy street to go into a store. I returned within 10 minutes, started the car, and as I was pulling out into traffic the car stalled after moving about 20 feet. All the dash lights came on and it would crank but not start. The car is in the right lane of a busy 3 lane road at this time. Also, after it stopped rolling it put itself in PARK, and because it has electronic transmission selection, I could not get it into Neutral to push it out of the way without the engine running. . The situation was very perilous. A wrecker came and got the car home. Once home I pulled the OBD codes myself and found P0087 Low Fuel Pressure and P008A also Low Fuel Pressure. After researching I have found that this is a known defect in these cars going on several years now. What is the delay in requiring Alfa to issue a recall of these faulty fuel pumps and fuel modules? Had this pump failure happened on an interstate at highway speeds it could have been fatal.

While in drive at speed the car would stall and all warning lights would indicate errors such as service engine, auto stop start fault, electronic throttle control, among others. The car could not be put into neutral, and would not restart for several minutes ( 30 minutes). This problem had occured previously (three times before).

On July 2, vehicle would not start. When pressing start button it continuously would try to crank but would not start. Check engine light, auto start on/off light, and ETC light came on. After 30-40 minute wait time, car started. Called dealer the following day but after multiple starts the lights/codes on dash went away. Dealer had no way to read the codes. On August 12, car started with the aforementioned lights turned on but after placing car in reverse and backing up some 10 feet it turned off. Car could not start again displaying the same symptoms as on July 2. This happened in a busy Costco parking lot blocking people from being able to get out of their parking spaces. No way to place car into Neutral to push out of way of traffic. After about 20 minutes or so, it managed to start. Drove to local Autozone to get codes read. P0087, P008A codes relate to low fuel pressure Next stop is dealership and hoping the lights do not turn off before dealer can look at. Both times this happened the car went on longer distance trips in hot weather in excess of 95 degrees Fahrenheit.

The contact owns a 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the horn was inoperable and there was no audible sound while depressed. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who diagnosed that the horn failure was caused by an air bag clock spring failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were not yet contacted regarding the failure. The failure mileage was 55,000.

While driving at approximately 45mph, the car was suddenly dropped into "limp mode" which caused a rapid deceleration, loss of power, and required pulling onto the shoulder as the car refused to accelerate. In addition, the check engine light illuminated, along with warnings that the start / stop system was unavailable and to service the electronic throttle. Restarting the car did not fix the condition. It's also important to note the car had approximately half a tank of gas. When serviced, the technicians reported that the P008A and P062A were present, indicating an issue with the fuel pump. The fuel pump was replaced (see attached files).

The fuel pump failed while driving the vehicle resulting in the car suddenly stopping while on a busy highway. We were nearly read-ended. After attempting to start the vehicle several times and witnessing several service lights go off, I called the police to have my vehicle towed and taken to the dealership. Their service department fixed the fuel pump, but charged me for the expense even though I've heard from others that this is a known issue (see [XXX] ), once resulting in an accident. I believe this should be a required recall item as it could have caused a serious accident. I would have expected this to be covered by the manufacturer. While driving on the highway for about two hours, the engine lost power and went into neutral. The engine light and "Service Electronic Throttle Control" came on. The car stalled with vehicles behind me. I got to the shoulder and tried to restart the car. It would try to crank, but the engine would not start. I used a code reader and found codes related to engine misfires and low pressure fuel system (P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, P008A, P0087).

The Car stalled while I was driving on [XXX] on the Virginia Eastern Shore, ~4 miles north of Eastville. I had to pull into the emergency stopping line and call AAA/State Police. Check engine light was on and "Service electronic throttle control" message was on. When that happened, the car fuel gauge indicated that I still had ~60 miles. I had to call AAA and place the car on a flat bed. I also called the Virginia State police and they dispatched a car. The Officer staid with me until the AAA tow truck arrived and the car was loaded for transportation. I was able to start the car the following day, and check the fault codes. I had the following Fault codes: P008A Low pressure Fuel System - Pressure too Low. P007 - Fuel Rail/System pressure Too lox Bank 1 P00C6 - Fuel Rail Pressure Too Low - Engine Cranking Bank1. The car seems to be running normally now, although I have not driven it for a long distance. I am planning to take it to the dealer for service on a flat bed. I was driving home from Sacramento back to the bay. I pulled off the freeway to a stop light. started to drive across the intersection and the car just turned off. no warning or anything. lost all power and the dash lit up with alerts. Barely had enough speed to pull over to the Toyota dealership driveway. Car wouldn't start and it didn't sound good when it died. Best part is there is no way to put the car in neutral if it doesn't start(without a special tool and the ability to get under the car). Had it towed over the Altamont to my parents. Got there and the thing started (with a bunch of warning lights) and had it just enough to get it off the truck. Brought it to my friends dad around the corner who was able to diagnose it down to a faulty fuel pump with all his equipment and code readers. He replaced the pump and now it works fine. Seeing there's rumors of a recall against Alfa Romeo for these fuel pumps I wanted to document it. It could have been much worse if I was going freeway speeds and the car just shut off like it did. There was 0 warning or signs. Attached the price of the replacement Pump and O-Ring. Doesn't show labor costs to my friends dad.

I was driving on a very busy tollhighway and my gas gauge showed 3/4 of a tank left.all of a sudden while driving at 70 mph ,the car began to stall rapidly and the engine shut down.i was stuck in the far right lane of the highway which was I think 5 lanes.i couldn't roll or budge the car and had to pay for a flatbed haul to my apartment where a mechanic confirmed it was out of fuel.its happened again 3 weeks later at a 5 way intersection heavy congested on a Saturday which again caused me to pay a flatbed haul home.this is the same problem described in the recall that apparently my car isn't a part of.it cost me over 550.00 dollars and alot of stress to have it towed and it has less than 45,000 miles.also my sunroof is stuck half open half closed.it worked 2 times and then it stopped working leaving me to have a bad glare at certain times of the day from the direct sunlight.ive tried having dealership fix it but they claimed they had no time and I needed to schedule another visit.ughhh

Service Engine" and "Service Electronic Throttle" lights came on. The car/engine started shaking/stuttering pretty violently, so I quickly turned off the car. I waited about 2 minutes and started the car again, and same thing. I waited another 10-15 minutes to start the car again. This time, the car started fine without "Service Electronic Throttle" light, but "Service Engine" light was still on and the drive mode was stuck on N

The implementation of Intelligent Battery System (IBS) in the vehicle causes a constant state of undercharged battery even when the vehicle is driven daily. Due to undercharged battery, several safety components, such as heated exterior mirrors and rear window defroster do not work, which creates a safety issue. This is a widely reported problem by owners on Alfa Romeo forums. No warning lamps or messages illuminate to alert that the battery charge status is not adequate. I have recently experienced this issue, my rear window defroster stopped working and I wasn't able to see through the rear window. Recharging the battery will make the window defroster work for a while again.

I have now learned the hard way that there is a design defect with this car. It appears that water runs down the front cowl into an area near the fresh air intake. Particularly bad if you have the car running as it goes through a car wash, or if snow accumulates on the windshield and melts. Water is then sucked into the air intake and leaks into the passenger side footwell and gets into the electronics (including the area where the body control module is kept). Many owners have reported this issue on forums. Alfa Romeo needs to correct their design and should fix every Giulia that they have produced. Loss of electrical power or control of car can cause an accident or impact safety features.

While driving on highway the Check Engine light illuminated along with a Service Electronic Throttle warning. Soon after engine died and the vehicle coasted to the side of the road. I was unable to restart. After tow to dealer vehicle would not start, awaiting dealer diagnosis. No safety issues were encountered with this incident.

When driving on a road, with speeds around 30mph, the car was failing to accelerate. The car had a warning "service electric throttle control". The car proceeded to have engine failure and stall at lower speeds when coming to a stop sign & when coming to a red light. This was a safety hazard, car turned off and was put in neutral when it should have stayed in drive. Other cars present on the road around, car could not accelerate in a busy intersection and was stalling in traffic.
