Risk. A cab with loose or missing structural bolts may not properly protect an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Risk. Reduced braking performance can require a greater distance to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.

The rear brake modulators may have unprotected electrical connectors that can short circuit and lead to a loss of the anti-lock brake system (ABS) and electronic stability control (ESC).

Risk. A loss of anti-lock brakes and electronic stability control increases the risk of a crash or injury.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect the rear brake modulator electrical connectors, install a protective cover, and replace the rear brake modulators, as necessary, free of charge. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Risk. High beam headlights that do not switch to low beam as intended can reduce visibility for oncoming traffic, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. As an interim action, Volvo Trucks will update the vehicle software through an over-the-air (OTA) update to disable the AHB feature, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed June 1, 2026. Risk. A detached idler gear can damage the engine, resulting in a stall and increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Risk. Delayed brake activation can extend the distance required to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect. Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling one 2025 New VN truck. A software error in the instrument cluster may cause the anti-lock brake system (ABS) warning light not to illuminate. As such, this vehicle fails to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

Risk. An ABS warning light that fails to illuminate will not alert the driver of an ABS malfunction, which could increase the risk of a crash.

I am a single-truck owner-operator (Cool Arrow Trucking), Harlingen, Texas. Two failures of Goodyear Endurance LHS steer tires (295/75R22.5), four months apart: 1. [XXX] — tread separation, passenger-side steer tire. Required emergency roadside service (TA Truck Service work order No. [XXX], near Big Spring, TX; odometer 284,101 — 31,251 miles since the pair was installed). Cost: $1,407.34. TA disposed of the failed tire at the scene; its DOT number was not recorded. 2. [XXX] — steer-tire blowout while descending a mountain grade. The truck was disabled and towed to Volvo Trucks, Troutville, Virginia, where it remains. Full repair estimate: $19,020.85 (excluding tires and rims). The truck has been out of service since October 15. The October 15 tire is preserved as evidence at Volvo Trucks, Troutville, Virginia, where a Goodyear inspector examined it on October 20, 2026. The July tire was taken by the TA location that replaced it before its DOT number could be recorded; photographs of that tire's separation are preserved. Relevant manufacturer history: In April and September 2022, Goodyear ran a Customer Satisfaction Campaign (service bulletin TSB 10222104) on this same tire line — 295/75R22.5 Endurance LHS, load ranges G and H — because tires from production week 4821 experienced crown separations and some center rib detachments that resulted in adjustments and property damage claims. I bought a brand new truck in march 19 2025. it was a Volvo vnl 860 tractor. The incident happened on June, 7, 2025. i was driving on i81 northbound near exit 228 Verona city, Augusta County. i was in the left lane and my speed was 70 mph and approaching a bridge suddenly a SUV from right lane comes into my lane and hit my truck from right and then comes in front of my truck makes a direct front impact. i was shocked by this impact and trying to keep my truck in my lane but my all my truck safety features are stop working and lane departure features fails and my truck going into one direction only i was trying to keep the truck in left lane but the truck only goes to right side and due to this my truck hits the bridge guardrail and then get off from the bridge into the water. there is a clear failure of the lane departure feature failure because the truck was out of control and controlling itself. secondly the airbags on my truck didn't deploy even i had direct 3-4 impacts. For the result of these failures i was seriously injured and have life threatening injuries.I want to submit this because i want to help others as well. i am out of work right now no one here to help me. i need some help or compensation from Volvo.
