2025 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid

Defect. Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Toyota Tundra, Tacoma Hybrid, Tacoma, RAV4 Hybrid, Land Cruiser Hybrid, Lexus GX550, 2024-2026 Tundra Hybrid, 2025 Sequoia Hybrid, Crown Signia, Grand Highlander, Lexus TX500 Hybrid, Lexus NX350 Hybrid, 2025-2026 Grand Highlander Hybrid, and Lexus TX350 vehicles. The load carrying capacity modification label may display inaccurate added weight values. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

Risk. A vehicle with an incorrect maximum capacity weight value may be overloaded, which can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will replace the load carrying capacity modification label, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed May 26, 2026. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 26LB04, 26LA04, 26TB07, and 26TA07.

Defect. Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2026 Toyota, Lexus, and Subaru Solterra vehicles equipped with a Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) system. Please see the recall report for a complete list of models. A software error may cause the rearview camera to freeze or display a blank screen when the vehicle is in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Risk. A rearview camera that fails to display an image can reduce the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will update the parking assist software, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed January 2, 2026. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 25TB13 and 25LB06. Subaru's number for this recall is WRE25.

I had been driving for over an hour and heard a sudden explosion that made me think there was a gunshot and heard glass shattering but couldn't see anything. I was fearful so I drove further down to the fire dept to assess to the damage and ensure no one was following me. Called 911 for help because I was so shaken. Discovered the back portion of my panoramic sunroof had exploded.

The contact stated that while driving 50 MPH, another vehicle driving at an unknown speed crashed into the rear passenger's side of the vehicle, causing the front driver's side of the vehicle to hit a wooden post, and the vehicle came to a stop. The wooden post was bent. The air bags failed to deploy. There was no warning light illuminated after the crash. The contact was shaking and was taken to the hospital by an ambulance. The contact underwent a CT scan and X-rays, but no issues were found. The contact sustained pain in the left leg. The contact was provided with injections and a neck brace. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot. The vehicle had not yet been evaluated by the insurance company. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000.

The contact owns a 2025 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid. The contact stated that while her mother was driving approximately 25-30 MPH, there was an abnormal popping sound coming from the vehicle. The driver pulled over and noticed that the sunroof glass had exploded. The driver noticed that the explosion of the glass had started inward and went outwards. There were no reported injuries. Additionally, the passenger’s side front seat was occupied by the [XXX] son. There was glass falling into the vehicle. The owner taped the sunroof glass. An unknown local dealer was contacted, who stated that an unknown object had struck the sunroof, causing the sunroof glass to shatter. The vehicle was not repaired. Whenever the accelerator pedal was released, the vehicle jerked abnormally. Additionally, the rear-view digital mirror was inoperable. There was a black spot on the mirror. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that an unknown local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and filed a complaint for the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,400.
