Defect. VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: RECREATIONAL VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH DEXTER AXLES. THE WHEEL BEARINGS USED IN SOME OF THESE AXLES HAVE A METALLURGICAL DEFECT CAUSING EARLY FAILURE.

Risk. A WHEEL BEARING FAILURE COULD RESULT IN THE LOSS OF THE WHEEL END FROM THE AXLE INCREASING THE RISK OF A VEHICLE CRASH.

Remedy. DEXTER AXLE IS CONDUCTING THE NOTIFICATION AND REMEDY FOR THIS RECALL. DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE AXLES AND REPLACE THE WHEEL BEARINGS IF NECESSARY.

Defect. THE FURNACES WERE IMPROPERLY INSTALLED. A 1 1/4" MINIMUM OVERLAP BETWEEN THE CHAMBER EXHAUST TUBE AND THE VENT ASSEMBLY EXHAUST IS NEEDED FOR PROPER EXHAUST.

Risk. THIS CONDITION CAN LEAD TO CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING.

Remedy. DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE FURNACE VENT ASSEMBLY.
