Defect. THE FURNACES WERE IMPROPERLY INSTALLED. A 1 1/4" MINIMUM OVERLAP BETWEEN THE CHAMBER EXHAUST TUBE AND THE VENT ASSEMBLY EXHAUST IS NEEDED FOR PROPER EXHAUST.
Risk. THIS CONDITION CAN LEAD TO CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING.
Remedy. DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE FURNACE VENT ASSEMBLY.
Defect. A SOLDER BRIDGE ON THE PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD WITHIN THE FUSE PANEL OF THE POWER CONVERTER PASSED UNDETECTED THROUGH A TEST FIXTURE AND BYPASSES THE FUSE PROTECTING THE CIRCUIT.
Risk. THIS SOLDER BRIDGE, WHEN COUPLED WITH A DEAD SHORT ELSE WHERE IN THE SYSTEM, CAN RESULT IN CIRCUIT OVERLOAD, OVERHEATING, AND EVEN FIRE, WITHOUT WARNING.
Remedy. DETAILED TEST INSTRUCTIONS ARE BEING PROVIDED. IF A DEFECTIVE FUSE PANEL IS FOUND, A NEW REPLACEMENT PANEL WILL BE INSTALLED.
