We own a RAM 2500 truck with an Integrate Brake Controller that is used to activate the trailer brakes on our 10,000+ lb 5th wheel RV. On our last rv trip, the Brake Controller test was not producing the necessary braking function on the trailer (putting more stress upon the trucks braking system). We became acutely aware of this as we attempted to stop on a downhill grade (highway exit ramp) where the traffic control switched to Red. We were barely able to stop in time, which had not happed in the past. When we arrived home, we did research and decided to switch the RV brakes from Drum to Disc brakes based upon research and our belief that the brakes were simply not sufficient for the RV Trailer. We had an RV shop install a brand new disc brake (electric/hydraulic) brake system. When we went to pick up the RV, we tested the brakes and they continued to be very weak (despite working on the RV dealers test equipment and truck). We had the RAM dealership test the brake controller and they said that it was "operating", despite the fact that it is not triggering the necessary braking action. When I went on-line to research, I found many posts in the RAM owner forum that discussed this exact issue from many RAM owners. All had pursued repairs from their dealers, all to no avail. RAM denies that their controller is the problem, yet owners who go through the process of replacing their OEM equipment with aftermarket controllers all report that their brakes now operate as intended. Vehicle has continuous ongoing issues since day of purchase with big screen radio display. System randomly changes screens and drops connection with source over and over again while vehicle is in operation. This is also affecting the rear parking assist sensor system making it work randomly at times and give false triggers or sometimes no triggers when collision is about to happen. The random screen changes are an EXTREME distraction while driving because the screen is extremely large in the center stack and when the image is randomly changing in your peripheral vision it draws driver's attention off the road. These connection issues also affect audio sources and make it necessary for the driver to interact with touch screen a ridiculous number of times per short drive further distracting the driver. There has been ongoing issues with this vehicle since the day I purchased it new. Multiple attempts by multiple different Ram dealerships to repair/resolve the issues with no solutions found yet. Actual radio unit in dash was replaced with 2 new units by dealers in attempts to resolve issues with no improvements. Dealerships have worked with Ram engineering and opened multiple STAR cases on vehicle in relation to these problems. Contacted Ram customer care multiple times and requested Ram buyback or deem this vehicle as lemon law vehicle. To date vehicle has been in for attempted service for these issues more than 4 times and would have been in 2-3 times this number of visits if

The contact stated that buckling the front driver’s side seat belt had become increasingly difficult to do, causing the seat belt to unbuckle independently on several occasions. Additionally, the seat belt retractor experienced difficulty while retracting. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the seat belt needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 34,000.

Transmission issues began at less then 10K miles when the vehicle was new. Initially experienced a noise and slam into reverse gear. The dealer initially claimed the noises were normal or could not replicate the issue. Over time, the vehicle developed a hard shift between 1st and 2nd gear and between 4th and 5th gear. Despite multiple repair attempts by the dealer, the problem persisted. After spending 94 days at the dealership, the transmission was replaced with a refurbished unit of unknown age at approximately 26,000 miles. According to the dealership representative, a manufacturing defect in the transmission case was ultimately identified as the cause of the failure.

The contact owns a 2022 Ram 2500. The contact stated that while attempting to drive out of the driveway, several unknown warning lights illuminated, and the vehicle failed to respond as designed. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer to be diagnosed. The vehicle was diagnosed with a defective RF module that was causing a failure on the COM buss system. The vehicle was repaired, but afterwards the contact experienced a failure with the passenger’s side window. The contact inspected the vehicle himself and noticed the original RF module was still connected. The contact asked the dealer why the original RF was still mounted. The dealer informed the contact that the failure with the original RF module was caused by the SRS OCI module. The vehicle was repaired a second time. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 47,696.

The contact owns a 2022 Ram 2500. The contact stated that upon pulling the rear middle seat belt to secure the car seat in the rear middle seat, the contact noticed that the rear middle seat belt locking or retracting mechanism was inoperable, causing the seat belt to continuously extend. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was determined that the middle rear seat belt was operating as designed, and the dealer informed the contact that the middle rear seat belt was not designed as the outer rear seat belts. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was concerned for the safety of his three children. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the failure would be escalated. The failure mileage was approximately 21,000.

I purchased this 2022 Ram 2500 crew cab diesel 4x4 in June of 2023. The truck was purchased brand new with only 8 miles on it. The truck had the original OEM - Firestone Transforce HT LT275 70 R18 tires. The truck has 9500 miles on it now and I just noticed that all 4 tires have dry rot type cracking around a slightly depressed ring on the sidewall of the tires. This looks similar to the defective tires described in a voluntary recall of the same tires in 2021. These tires appeare to be defective. There is no reason that tires that are a few years old wth only 9500 miles on them should have this uniform dry rot type cracking on all 4 tires. I took the truck to Discount tire and the technician confirmed that the tires were not safe to operate so now I have to buy all 4 tires and I am replacing the spare as well. Recall said completed it's not and code is still coming up on reader. So many problems with it. How to find out to get the services I'm paying for.

1. Complete Brake Failure. No warning lights came on. There is no emergency warning system for Brake Failure. This could have been catastrophic. This could have turned deadly if we were driving on the highway with no warnings Dec 15, 2024 I drove the truck during the day on the highway and made various stops for Christmas Shopping. I went for dinner with my Family. After dinner climbed into the truck and depressed the break and started the truck. Once the truck started the break pedal could be pushed to the back floorboards. I know this was not right. Turned the truck off and started it again and up it in drive thinking it would correct. It did not turned onto a sidewalk put he truck in park and called a towtruck. 2. The 12" display goes black constantly. Even after several software upgrades. You cannot see heat/radio/ mapping/ phone system nothing it completely shuts down 3. Transmission, when you stop and then drive slowly, press the brakes lift off the brakes slightly the truck lunges forward so you really have to be careful or you will crash into the car in front of you.

Grid heater nut/bolt has been reported to deteriorate enough to allow the nut to drop into the intake manifold and get sucked into the engine causing catastrophic engine failure. This information comes from shops that have replaced the engines that have had this failure occur

Vehicle purchased June 2022. I can't keep front brakes on the vehicle. July 4, 2023 Mileage 52154, the front brakes were worn out and replaced with Brake Best brake pads. January 12, 2024 Mileage 76200. Front brake pads worn out and ruined the rotors. Pads replaced with Raybestos pads and Brake Best Rotors. December 2024 Mileage 114261. Front brake pads worn out and are cutting into the front rotos so, I'm about to replace them with the fourth set of brakes since the truck was manufactured.

The telematics display / unit displays errors and will freeze. If the driver has adjusted the volume, it may not work. They may try to do this several times not realizing that the radio is lagging. The volume will quickly ramp several moments later and could surprise a driver and cause loss of control. In addition, the on-screen navigation screen can freeze up and the applications appear to resize and freeze. It's possible that somebody may make an unsafe maneuver as a result of the delay or inconsistent presentation of direction. The problem has been seen three times at my local Ram dealership. They have been unable to remediate the issue. There are no prior warnings to the issue happening and no direct way to reproduce them or see if it will happen again. It has been happening on my vehicle since approximately February of 2022.

Death wobble at 50 mph. Factory stock suspension 11,500 miles on vehicle

Truck would not start or crank over. It had to be towed to a repair shop and the starter had to be replaced.

The grid heater bolt can fail and fall into cylinder number 6 and cause catastrophic failure causing an accident. The 68RFE transmission is prone to failure and should be repaired/replaced. The hydraulic liters are subject to failure and should be replaced with solid lifters.

Significant fuel leak from top of engine, leaking down back of engine and creating puddles on ground. Potential fire hazard due to proximity to turbo and exhaust. No warning lamps or messages. Issue was confirmed at dealer and repaired by replacing multiple fuel injector supply lines.

I noticed that all four shocks on my 2022 Ram Longhorn limited edition with factory air ride suspension are leaking fluid from around the piston head. I have tried to get the problem fixed but have not been able to find OEM shocks or even aftermarket shocks. I took it my local dealer ship with the recall notice the first one I received ( I have two now) the dealer ship has found only two shocks but they haven't told me which ones ( front or rear). Lithia Jeep, Dodge, of Klamath Falls Oregon knows all about this problem. They don't want to do the recall notices until all the parts are in, plus the bug deflecter on the front of the truck needs to be installed.I have been waiting now for about six months with no word as to how long it's going to take to get some shocks I continue stopping by to see if there is any news about the shocks but nothing yet, I have only about 43 or 44 thousand miles on this truck as it isn't driven that much. I have noticed that the suspension is really getting a hard work out when driving the rear air ride suspension is the only thing that is working on the rear . I am afraid that something else is going to fail or break that's going to cost me thousands of dollars that I don't have. Can't someone look into this problem.

4.10 Axle Ratio has manufacturing defect. Pinion bearing spins in differential housing causing miss-alignment between pinion and ring gear. Resulting in vibration, noise, binding at low RPM and slamming sensation with sudden acceleration. Full rear end lock up possible. Providing dangerous situation, especially when using as tow vehicle. Truck reported has 3rd (third) axle housing installed, with defects already present requiring another replacement.

A driver was driving their 2022 Ram 2500 to the first job of the day on surface streets in Hollywood, CA. While driving they heard a sudden banging noise from under the truck and lost the ability to accelerate. The driver used the service brakes to stop the vehicle and attempted to put the unit in Park, but Park would not hold the vehicle. The vehicle would also not go into drive or reverse, so they used the parking brakes to secure the vehicle. The vehicle was towed back to the yard and inspected by our internal Fleet Dept. It was found that the driveshaft had come disconnected from the transmission output flange. Three of the four bolts were missing and the fourth was sheared off in the output flange. When the driveshaft came loose it dented the bottom of the cab, tore up a wiring harness and damaged the carrier bearing. The vehicle was towed to a Ram dealer where they replaced the driveshaft and damaged components under warranty and retained the failed parts.

A driver was driving their vehicle on surface streets in Hollywood, CA. When they went to make a 3-point turn to park, they heard a loud noise and felt the vehicle drop. The driver got out to look and saw that the left front wheel was loose and bound up into the vehicles fender. The unit was towed back to the yard and inspected by our internal Fleet Department. It was found that the left front knuckle assembly had cracked, broken and failed between the lower ball joint and the rest of the knuckle assembly. The vehicle was towed to a Ram dealer where it was repaired under warranty and the failed parts were retained by the dealership.

The other vehicle failed to yield at a yellow blinking light at the intersection causing the impact. No air bags deployed. No warning light had illuminated. The driver sustained unknown injuries and received medical attention. The other driver sustained unknown injuries but it was unknown if medical attention was received. A police report was filed. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 57,009.

Rear backup camera display frequently failed for brief periods of time. Failure was unpredictable. I backed into low post hitting corner of rear bumper on passenger side during such a display failure. This resulted in major damage to the rear bumper.

25k miles. Rear end began to shake Balances tires 4 different shops. Doesn't follow tires. Come to find out I have 3 ujoints leaked out all grease and both rear shocks are soaked in their own oil

Driving on the freeway and I was cut off. And failed to work went sliding and had to steer into the emergency lane to avoid a collision

The forward fuel filter canister is constructed of plastic.i have found several blog sites complaining of the canister cracking and leaking fuel down the side o the engine.i replaced the filter in my truck several months ago and last week I noticed a heavy flow of fuel coming from under the diesel motor.the dealer said I did the damage when I changed the filter[a very simple job that any room temperature IQ mechanic could perform}now they want to charge me hundreds to replace it. I found a company that has already made a better part to replace the cheap plastic canister with a billet aluminum fixture.i don't think its right to push off their poor quality parts on consumers and then make them pay to fix it.check out Cummins Forum and Black Market Performance for the improved replacement parts.

The transmission down shifts by itself while driving down the road . You have to stop an change the gears to park then start again.I has happened 3 or 4 times .most of the time when you stop at a light or stop sign and take off when it drops to a lower gear it makes a sudden jerk. Some times tyhe transmission slams in to gear rather hard, I am going to be out of warranty if some one does not fix this problem.It has 12,276.7 miles on it as of right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don,t drive it much but it is going to blow the engine up or the tramission.

Day after purchasing my truck the navigation screen went blank after plugging in iPhone to charge by usb. I could not use the 3 month trial of connect or use the remote features to start my truck or use navigation system to drive to an address. Could not use WiFi hotspot. Password and name would change every time I set it up. My navigation address would be modified while driving in route taking me home n opposite direction away from where I was trying to go. All settings would be modified constantly. Paid $400+ for a year subscription for navigation and connect but can’t use. AT&T told me someone had acquired the cell number associated with the simcard module in the navigation system and the SIM card must be replaced or they could continue to unlock my doors. My truck has been broken into more than 7 times and have stolen cash, ham radio and keys to my home and RV. Cannot get service manager at Prestige Dodge to change the simcard module out. He changes his story every time I try to bring my try back n to get the simcard module replaced. I am disabled use a wheelchair or rollator to get around. I fear for my life due to the number of times they have broken into my truck. Have video footage of hackers using my Dodge Ram app on their cell phone and getting into my truck on more than one occasion. Have filed 5 police reports to date. They now prevent the officers from contacting me about the police reports I have filed and have stolen bags of silver bars and silver coins I gave

Additionally, the contact stated that the defroster, the back-up camera, and the hazard warning lights were inoperable. The camera that controls the entire ADAS system randomly goes out or loses its calibration. This is so common the part is back ordered with no expected delivery date.

The integrated trailer brake controller does not perform enought to actually engage the trailer brakes on multiple trailers. this should be a recall issue for ram. we have two ram trucks with the same issue.

This is a safety recall ISSUE, I continue to have a problem with this dealer (Hunter Dodge in Lancaster ca) on resolving 3 safety recalls on my 2022 Ram 2500 I have been on the dealers waiting list for 8 months now. Recently I received a call from Chrysler Co. that the dealer had the parts inhouse and I should call the dealer (Hunter Dodge in Lancaster ca) to set up an appointment. I called the person who is responsible at the dealership to get an appointment, she stated there was no reason for the appointment because she did not have the parts to fix my truck and hung up the phone. I received a call from Chrysler saying the parts are at the dealer, and yet when I call they continue to say the parts are not in. I am planning to go out of town with my family soon and I am VERY worried about this being a SAFTEY issue for 8 months now. I wonder if this problem qualifies as a 'Lemon Law' issue or any other action?, I hope you can help resolve this issue. The good flutters at speed over 65 mph, when there's a headwind or crosswind. The hood flutters very badly when being passed head-on by a semi truck. Dodge (and most truck manufacturers) went to aluminum bonded hoods, as opposed to steel- the aluminum hoods have significant lift. I went to ram- they blamed the flutter on my big deflector. A simple search shows hundreds of complaints. I personally worry about hood latch failure or failure of the loop that locks into the hood latch itself- causing accidents. RAM is mute on the subject.

The vehicle was again taken back to the dealer, who was unable to diagnose the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 17,000.

The contact owns a 2022 Dodge Ram. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact stated that on some occasions, the message "Regenerate the Vehicle" was displayed. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed that the powertrain software module needed to be updated. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was then taken to another dealer, where it was diagnosed, and the dealer determined that the urea pump needed to be replaced. The part was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer, where it was determined that the air filter, the catalytic converter, the nitrous oxide sensor, the temperature sensor, and the particulate matter sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 33,962.

My 2022 RAM 2500 only has about 10k miles and today when I started the vehicle in my driveway, the ABS and Traction control lights came ON. Did some google searching and found that this is a known issues plaguing RAM trucks since 2018! I'm going to call dealer tomorrow and hopefully this can be diagnosed and fixed promptly. However I'm not confident as I'm still waiting on a different RAM recall which dealer says the parts are only being released to each dealer in quantities of 1 per month. Paying $80k+ for a truck that can't be driven due to known manufacturers issues from 6 yrs ago is unacceptable. I hope NHTSA can help force RAM to address these issues.

The TPMS system has been in a failure state a total of three times so far. The error message has cleared itself after a random amount of time.

The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (as mandated by NHTSA) fails to function properly. The system can be inspected upon request by the NHTSA because the local dealerships cannot determine the problem and refuse to contact the manufacture. Operating vehicles with over/under inflated ties causes numerous driving difficulties as well as premature and unnecessary wear on the tires. If it wasn't a concern the NHTSA wouldn't have mandated TPMS. Dealership refuses to acknowledge there is a problem. They just inflate the tires to the manufacturer recommendation and say its fixed. 2-3 days later the system tells me I have low tires. When I Check my tires with a Digital Gauge the tire pressure is correct. Problem started 10 months after purchasing this vehicle new in Jan 2022. After confirming with the dealership the installation of aftermarket Tires/Wheels would NOT void my warranty, I had the Dealer installed a set of aftermarket tires/wheels. They were supposed to remove the TP Sensors from each tire/wheel and installed in the new aftermarket tires/wheels. At this point I don't know if its a Tire Sensor problem, a problem with the system ( I believe behind the rear seat) that relays the information to the Dash Cluster or the Uconnect5 System where the Tire Pressures can be set. Dealer states I MUST inflate ties to the Tire Pressure Label installed by the manufacture on the Door Jam. Turning into a gas station parking lot in Colfax, Ca noticed smoke coming from under hood and there were flames in the engine compartment. No warning lights. A fire extinguisher was used to put out fire. Fire department responded. Truck was towed to John L Sullivan Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM 950 Harter Pkwy, Yuba City, CA 95993. Report was filed with Chrysler at 800-992-1997 11/16/2023 case #[XXX]. Have had no further response from Chrysler. Been waiting months for recall parts, i have gone to two dealerships and still no call back
