ABS service light and traction control light keeps coming on. I have taken the vehicle to the dealer only to have the code erased and sent on my way because there is no remedy for this recall. This is unacceptable as a safety recall. Im tired of the light and the dinging coming on constantly plus loosing my abs/ traction control. Mopar needs to do better before someone gets killed!!!

My 2017 Ram 2500, 6.4L Hemi experiences warning lights which I'm told is caused by intermittent PCM failure. I'm told this can cause the truck to stall while in motion, refuse to start, or enter "limp mode". This amounts to a possible unsafe condition that can put myself and passengers at risk of property damage, bodily injury or worse. I brought the truck to Priority Automotive of Westerly, LLC on March 9, 2026 for diagnosis. Their diagnosis (attached) recommended replacing the PCM to correct (possibly), "...intermittent internal short(s)". Cost of the repair is $2,012.42. Subsequently, I contacted customer care at Stellantis (866-726-4636) and was given Case #[XXX]. I was told to make an appointment at the aforementioned dealership and call them the day before the appointment, so they could send a representative to the dealership for examination. I did exactly that to no avail. No one from Stellantis even contacted the dealership on the appointment date. I called them to find out what happened, only to find out (from a supervisor) that they are not offering assistance in the matter. Additionally, the truck is currently under recall #C4B/NHTSA 24V-896 (PCM related) and, to-date, I'm told the part is still not available after more than a year since the recall. I've owned Dodge Rams for over 27 years and find the situation unsafe and totally unacceptable. I'm also aware that many other owners of the 2017 Ram 2500 6.4L experience PCM/ECM issues, causing no-start conditions or s

This CHEAP fix is abhorrent! It calls for welding an adjustable part of the steering linkage rendering it non- adjustable when having the front end aligned in the future. Not to mention the effect of welding, potentially causing a problem with the integrity of the metal. The correct fix for this SAFETY issue is to REPLACE this steering linkage component, the entire Drag Link! NOT do a "back yard, shade tree mechanic" weld job on the steering linkage of all things! I am appalled that NHTSA approved such a thing. PLEASE revisit this issue and do the right thing. Require Chrysler (FCA US LLC) to REPLACE this defective part with the proper part. Note.... Chrysler is not welding the nuts on the drag links on trucks coming off the assembly line! They are coming off with proper, safe, adjustable drag links! I contacted FCA and they said they cannot redo the recall because it's out of the window to get it repaired again. This is not a safe fix. The recall says after this welding, the vehicle can still get a proper alignment from dealer, which is not true. I contacted the dealer and they said I should contact FCA, but that sent me back to my original issue. I can't get an alignment even though the recall fix says I can. I dealer refuses to do it. I bought this truck used from the dealer and they wouldn't fix it at the time either. I pull a fifth wheel trailer with my truck and I need an alignment. This recall weld fix is just not right, a cheap fix for a long-term problem and very uns

The HCU for my truck failed and was replaced 6/25/2021. It failed again 12/2024 but before it could be replaced a recal for the HCU came out with the warning "The loss of ABS/ESC/Traction control may cause a vehicle crash without prior warning" Now the warning light keeps coming on and going off with the alarm sound as I drive. It also turns off the cruise control. This has been going on for well over a year with no date for a fix of something that can cause a crash without prior warning. There doesnt seem to be any urgency to fix something that can cause such a big problem. I have no choice other than to keep driving my truck hoping for the best. Any help with this is most appreciated. Thank you for your time, G. May

Hello, I received a recall notice "C7B" from FCA. Checking with my dodge dealer they said it has been completed. Problem is I never had this done. FYI, I have had past problems with this break system and it had been replaced I think 3 time, but no recall had been issued before all this. Anyway I contacted FCA and they now have given me the updated recall notice called C4B with no resolution or repairs and referred me to arbitration.

My ABS light has been on for 2 years. It was previously diagnosed as the ABS pump/module. The parts were on backorder. The C4B Recall came out over a year ago. There is still no parts available. My truck is at the dealer right now and they said they can't do anything with the Recall. I figured they could at least verify the failure and put in an order for the part. This a big safety issue for tons of RAM owners as most of us bought these trucks to tow and haul heavy equipment, trailers etc.. I am on several forums and everyone wants to get these repairs completed.

Received a re-call letter from FCA US LLC back in November of 2024 stating there was a re-call for the HCU which will affect the ABS as well and the ESC. ( Letter attached). Upon receiving the letter, I immediately ( with a day) starting calling around to dealerships to get it fixed, and not one was able to help me. Stating the part isn’t available, which was odd as I just received the letter. So I was thinking maybe I called to soon. I called once a month, every month since November 2024. Thinking this would be enough time to find the part, or find a new company or have the part fabricated some how? After months of no luck, I called Mopar/ Fiat. I was told the company that makes the part is no longer in business and when I asked about any other company making this part, no one was able to give me an answer or even another option for getting the re-call fixed. So, that leaves no solutions to get it fixed. Not to mention the chance of failure ( safety) and that fact that it’ll affect my trucks trade-in value. I have been patiently waiting, but nothing seems to be happening. No one is in a rush to find a solution. This is disheartening, as I have been a loyal Ram owner for 10+ years ( 3 trucks in total).

This is in regards to Recall #C4B for the ABS/HCU failure on my 2017 RAM. This recall was issued over a year ago in November of 2024, but Stellantis has yet to DO ANYTHING and can't even tell us when a remedy will be available. I have asked my local dealership and get the same answer, NOTHING!!! The parts must be available, because the dealership told me that I could purchase the part from them and pay them to install it. But, I would have to then wait to get reimbursed from Stellantis once the recall is "remedied". Two problems with this; 1) I don't have the $1500+ to spend on this, and 2) I don't trust them to ever pay me back! But, this does tell me that they have the parts. Plus, they have no trouble making and selling new vehicles with parts that don't have this safety failure. Can you make them prioritize this recall and take car of the thousands of RAM trucks with this safety issue. BTW, last month my brother-in-law was driving my truck on I-25 through Denver, CO. He hit an icy spot and lost traction causing him to go into a 360 spin. God was looking over him because he did hit anything or anyone. THIS WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED IF THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM WOULD HAVE BEEN WORKING. STELLANTIS CAME VERY CLOSE TO BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS DEATH!!!

I am writing to formally demand that Stellantis replace the drag link assembly on my 2017 Ram 2500 at no cost to me. The welding performed during Safety Recall V06 in 2019 has rendered my vehicle unable to receive proper wheel alignment, creating an ongoing safety issue and causing premature tire wear. Background In 2019, my vehicle was brought to dealer to have Safety Recall V06 performed. The recall procedure involved welding the jam nuts to the adjuster sleeve on the drag link. I was not informed at the time that this welding would permanently prevent future alignment adjustments to the drag link. Approximately three months ago, I purchased new tires for my vehicle. When I took my truck to have a wheel alignment performed, I was informed that the alignment cannot be completed because the drag link jam nuts are welded and cannot be adjusted. The alignment is significantly out of specification, causing uneven tire wear and compromised vehicle handling. Current Situation I contacted Hendricks Ram in Cary NC regarding this issue. The dealership has confirmed that: 1.My vehicle cannot be properly aligned due to the welded drag link 2.Ram/Stellantis is refusing to break the welds and replace with the new adjustable drag link kit 3.I am being asked to pay approximately $2,000 out of pocket to correct a problem that was directly caused by Stellantis's recall repair Legal and Regulatory Basis for This Demand October 2023 TSB Update: Stellantis issued revised Technical Service Bulle

1. Failure to Address a Safety Recall Promptly When scheduling the appointment, I informed the dealership of an open safety recall (Recall V06, NHTSA 19V-021) involving the steering linkage jam nut (a defect which can cause loss of steering control). This recall is critical for safety, yet I was told on the phone that the dealership “could not work on it yet” due to unspecified changes being made by the manufacturer. Upon arrival, I asked again about this recall. The service advisor stated it would require a separate appointment with a “special mechanic” and thus declined to even inspect the vehicle that day. This is extremely disheartening – a known safety defect (announced in January 2019) remains unaddressed on my truck almost seven years later, and the dealership made no effort to expedite or even evaluate the need for repair. As a loyal Dodge customer, I am very concerned that an authorized dealer would postpone a safety recall inspection, leaving me driving a potentially unsafe vehicle. Safety recalls should be handled with urgency, and I urge Dodge to ensure that this recall (V06) is rectified on my truck immediately. It is unacceptable that I must continue driving with a defect that “can result in a loss of steering control… causing a crash without warning,” according to the recall description I found on your site.

I have code C0020-01-ABS Pump motor control on in my 2017 Ram 2500 for almost two years. I bought it used at a dealership in Maryland in June 2022 and each time I check with them, the part to fix it is backordered or not available. According to a Star online publication dated 4/28/20 from FCA, when this code is on the HCU and the ECU should be tested and replaced, but the abs module is on parts restriction. Also, NHTSA ODI (NEF-102ig PE22-012) sent a letter to Head, vehicle safety compliance FCA, on January 23, 2023, notifying them that NHTSA had opened a Preliminary Evaluation to investigate allegations of intermittent or permanent loss of braking performance in my truck type and year. I feel this is a severe safety Hazzard and a fix to repair should be immediately available, and a recall issued so the solution is free of charge to owners. At the time of the letter there were 134 reports, but can only imagine there are plenty more by now. Also, I’m sure there are thousands of owners who don’t know about this yet. Thank you.
