Driving through mountains in the month of June and it started to rain , temperature dropped suddenly causing the windshield to frost over. I turned on the defrost and nothing happened. I could feel it blowing air out but it wasn’t clearing the windshield. We grabbed whatever we could find and tried clearing it but it didn’t seem to help. My wife had to roll down her window so we could see the edge of the road. There was heavy traffic, could have been a fatal accident, VERY SCARY. We sat there for 15 minutes to a half hour before we felt safe enough to continue. It happened again about a year later. Have takin it to the dealer 3 times (2 different places) and they stated they couldn’t do anything about it because the computer showed that there was nothing wrong. I have seen reports on this happening to other 2022 Ram 1500 trucks but mine is not included. The report stated the parts for defrost and A/C are not compatible. Very disappointing to have an $80,000 dollar truck and the defrost doesn’t work.

When using RAM's UConnect system with Apple CarPlay, the system often disconnects and disables Maps, Podcasts, etc. This requires that one manually disconnect the system, restart it and connect to the phone again. For example, when driving in downtown Dallas, Apple Maps was disconnected and there was no place to pull over to reconnect to the UConnect system. This problem is frequent. On a recent 100 mile trip, the system disconnected over 15 times. I have taken the truck back to the dealer. The service manager said that his truck did the same thing. He said that it was a software issue and that RAM (Stellantis) was working on it. Upon calling the UConnect Customer Service line, I got the same answer. There have been a few updates since I purchased this vehicle, but none have solved the problem. This situation is dangerous and causes distraction - whether you are able to pull over or not. I have been driving this truck for 2 years and the problem has been constant the entire time.

The contact called on behalf of his grandparents who owned a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while his grandfather was driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to stop as intended. The contact stated that due to the failure the vehicle crashed into a huge stone flowerpot outside of the dealer. The huge stone flowerpot then struck a parked vehicle. The parked vehicle sustained damages to the front bumper. The contact's grandparents vehicle had damages to the front grill and cosmetic scratches to the vehicle. The grandparent's vehicle was left at the dealer to be diagnosed; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. Due a faulty battery recharge module…My vehicle lost power steering without warning

The infotainment center will go blank and do a reset while driving, it does not store radio presets for long. Most concerning, I’ve been backing out of my garage when the garage lighting has been turned off and when the vehicles sensors detect a darker surrounding and adjust the dash and infotainment center light level, the infotainment center goes dark for a while and does it’s reset thing thus not having a backup camera until it has had time to reset.

The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the camera wiring harness might need to be replaced. In addition, upon further investigation, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V437000 (Back Over Prevention) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. An appointment with the dealer was scheduled to repair the vehicle. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 20,000.

A recall was announced over a year ago on the high pressure fuel pump but the manufacturer is still stating they do not have parts to repair. I am fearful of something happening while driving.

I have made a prior complaint about the same issue when I had the truck for only a day and 111 miles on it that the entire truck lost power as I was making a left hand turn. It has again happened that the entire truck lost power as I was driving. I now have 15,039 miles on it. I was driving stop and go leading up to a stop sign when the truck stalled and lost power and turned on the emergency brake. I was able to finally get it back running. It has been an issue for a while where you can almost feel like the truck is about to stall but it eventually kicks back in. This time however it did not.

Yesterday, 6/11/24, was the 4th time while driving the engine shut off while moving. Had to hit the brakes and coast to side of road. Had to put in park and start the engine. Dealer claims can’t repeat or find code. Same problem as many on the page. Also have the front camera/radar intermittently stop working and warns emergency braking and cruise control can’t be used. This is on the freeway!! 45 seconds later everything works again. Again no dealer help.

When coming to a stop light, the vehicle stalled and shut off without warning. I had to shift to park, apply the brake and press the emergency brake button to get the vehicle to start. This has occurred twice since buying the vehicle in March 2024.

The power steering failed while I was in motion at approximately 55 mph and is not working since . I managed to stop before I went in the ditch, but did run over at culvert and run two tires. Zero warning.

I have had several occasions where I have been driving down the road and my engine has shut off. I took the truck to the dealership and they show error codes but can’t fix unless they can recreate the problem.

[XXX], While driving S on [XXX] , I felt a brief loss of power than a total engine shutdown. I was sandwiched between two semis but was able to locate a wide spot in the shoulder to signal and pull over, parking 9 feet off the fog line. The vehicle indicated a failure and would not restart. As it was a winter night, I was able to contact a relative to head our way and contacted AAA for a tow 5 miles to the nearest town, Chemult. My wife and I secured our vehicle in a safe place off the highway and were given a ride 72 miles to home. Ram Assist was unable to locate a tow company so I arranged and paid for the vehicle to be delivered to the nearest dealer in Klamath Falls, OR. After a week, the dealer confirmed a fuel system catastrophic shut down probably related to the high pressure fuel pump. Parts took 1.5 months to arrive and a repair was attempted March 29. April 1, I was informed the repair failed, the vehicle would not provide sufficient fuel pressure. New parts were ordered and attempted repairs continued to fail. As of May 8, 2024, the vehicle has not been successfully repaired. Replaced components are retained by the dealer at least until the repair is successful, then they will be sent to FCA. Vehicle started and ran well prior to the sudden failure. It was getting good mileage, was fueled with COSTCO diesel, and DEF tank was indicating full. I was advised of the HPFP recall and had requested the service in mid-December. Recall replacement parts were not available.

After driving in a snow storm twice in the same day and one time in the winter of 2023 I was unable to put my truck into park. Each of the three time it occurred the gear indicator would flash and a message appeared to set parking brake to prevent rolling. While this was occurring I could not turn the truck off or put it into park as it would only go into accessory mode and see the parking brake. I contacted my local deal who was able to look at the truck that day. They advised there was to much snow and ice built up around a knuckle on the transmission that didn’t allow the truck to go into park and on this particular day the dealership received 30 calls on this issue including the service departments shop Forman. I was told not to drive my 4x4 off road package truck in the snow and to park in a heated garage. I contacted Ram customer care who admitted it was a know issue and a design flaw. Ram customer service also advised to not drive in snow and to park in a heated garage. Living in WI that is not a feasible option. This put myself and others in danger as I was not able to physically put my 2022 Ram into park and could have injured myself or others as the truck would not go into park gear. There was no warning this was happening until I attempted to put truck into park. I do have a video I recorded as it was occurring that I can provide to you.

I was in the service lane waiting for an oil change for my 2022 RAM 1500. My car was in parking mode. A service tech plugged a "pod" or "OBD2" and asked me to drive the car with the pod plugged. As soon as I tried to pull out my lane the car acceleraterated even though I was not pressing on the gas pedal. I tried to hit the brake but car would not stop for few seconds until I hit the parked car in front of me.

When coming to a slow stop, the transmission has a clunky shift from 2nd to 1st gear.

I stopped at a stop sign. When I began to accelerate, the engine stopped leaving me stranded in the middle of the road. Perpendicular to on coming traffic to my left. Luckily it was 530 in the morning and traffic was very light. I was able to get the truck restarted after about 30 seconds and continued to work. No check engine light or any warning lights came on at that time. When leaving work, the check engine light came on and i drove it straight to dealership because it is to dangerous to drive safely. This is the only time this has happened and the truck is in the shop and was told they cannot recreate the problem. There was no check engine lights prior to incident. This could have been deadly to me or any on coming traffic as they could have ran into the drivers side of my truck.

The message "Water in Fuel" was displayed and there was an abnormal sound coming from the fuel pump while driving. The contact was able to pull to the side of the road. The vehicle failed to restart and was towed to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact stated that the dealer charged a fee for diagnostic testing, but the contact declined to pay the fee because the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V263000 (Fuel System, Diesel), which he related to the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 41,000.

My battery died and when I reset it all of the abs lights came on. Now I need a new abs control module

While driving at low speeds, truck shuts off and emergency brake is applied. This has happened when pulling out into traffic. The truck just turns off. I have to disengage the emergency brake and then the truck will restart. The only light that comes on is the emergency brake light. This has happened multiple times over past few weeks.

Engine has stalled and shut off on multiple occasions, once on the on ramp to a highway this posing extremely dangerous scenario. Dealership has been unable to determine the cause or replicate the issue

Vehicle was taken to dealer to inspect for possible water intrusion into the cab from the rear window frame/seal. Dealer confirmed leak in the upper Corner and asked for Ram to approve to replace. Ram denied stating the initial glass warranty is only 12 months. This isn't a Glass issue as these trucks are prone to rear window leaks due to faulty seal/sealant and windo Frame cracks. 2022 ram 1500 woth .under 26000 miles.

This vehicle has stalled three times in separate occurrences in the last 12 months after stopping at an intersection for a stop sign. When attempting to continue on, the vehicle stalls and engages the emergency brake. All three occurrences have left me broadside in an intersection until I can get the vehicle started and disengage the E brake. This is a huge safety concern. The last occurrence was on 3/8/24, this one had the same symptoms as the first two except there was also a battery light warning that I was able to correct by shutting the truck off and restarting. I made a service appointment where I purchased the vehicle ( Walser Dodge, Hopkins Mn.). No codes were produced to indicate what might be causing this issue. They tried to replicate the issue by driving the truck 113 miles with no success. There was no resolution to the problem from this service visit. I did do some research online and discovered that many other people are experiencing this same issue with vehicles equipped with the 5.7 L hemi with torque. These reports cover model years going back to 2019. I also discovered that a recall for this issue was implemented for 2021 Ram trucks that were experiencing this problem. The research that I did was through Dodge forums, videos, legal websites and some were sited from NHTSA. The dealership said that they have never heard of this before.

Have had multiple issues with my radio deleting my preset channels. There has been a couple of times where when I start my vehicle my radio just says loading and I am not able to control any of my climate controls or radio channels. My usb and usb-c plugs quit working for a while. The radio has been replaced and is still having some of the same issues with not loading the screen and also deleting my preset channels.

My husbands and my life were put in danger by the motor not being bolted correctly to the frame of the truck, only 2 bolts were holding it and it could have fallen out, the tire having a screw in it on the inside of the side wall of tire, radiator not bolted correctly to the truck and could have fallen out, Freon and antifreeze leaks into the cabin after we picked up the truck, transmission not being bolted in correctly and wire harness hanging loose, clamps not being tightened, fluid missing from radiator, clips not connected, bolts broken off into the motor, bolts stripped and not secure, brake and transmission fluid leaks when they told us too pick up after repairs were made at Mt. Ephraim Dodge dealership in NJ. The truck is at the dealership where we purchased it on [XXX] and has been there since [XXX]. Vehicle steering began to shake violently intermittently, I pulled off the highway and began to inspect front wheels. I saw fire on left side of engine through the wheel well. I extinguished fire with hand extinguisher. Fire department inspected and saw no danger to move vehicle. Vehicle was towed. Inspection by dealer was inconclusive. (!) I would not trust it to drive. I brought vehicle into company shop and inspected myself and found starter wire routed between brackets on engine/cross member. The cable was burned/ shorted and the cause of fire and electric steering malfunction. Any further use would certainly cause another incident. Vehicle was returned to dealer for replacement of harness. Dealer stated no recalls or known issues related to this. Inspected another vehicle of same type and wire is similar routing. Vehicle showed no symptoms prior to and no codes set after incident. One photo from below, driver side engine/transmission mounting, burned cable dead center.

The high pressure fuel pump failed while traveling at approximately 45 mph in the left lane on a public highway in snowy conditions. The truck lost all mechanical power and would not start upon multiple attempts. There were other motorists on the road who could have been endangered if I was not able to safely maneuver the truck to the shoulder. The truck was towed to Ken Garff Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in West Valley, UT where the service department confirmed that the high pressure fuel pump failed. The manufacturer "prioritized" ordering replacement parts, but is unable to provide an estimated time of arrival for several components necessary to complete the repair. No symptoms, warning lamps, or other indicators were evident prior to the mechanical failure. The fuel tank was 3/4 full with diesel fuel purchased in Utah (where the incident occurred), DEF was full, and the truck had routine scheduled service a week prior performed by a Ram dealership in Canoga Park, CA.

Vehicle stalled going around a corner and shut off. After 5-10 minutes restarted and works now.

I brought a brand new vehicle from thunder chrysler dodge Jeep ram in bartow, FL in July 2022. I took it back to the dealer to be seen as it was making a weird noise and sounded off the beginning of 2024. They looked at the vehicle as it was under warranty and I picked up the vehicle several days later. Only to then realize the vehicle was doing the same thing. Took it back to the dealer, they claim they repaired it again and I drove it off the lot and realized immediately it still wasn’t fixed. This goes on now 3-4 different times. The dealer states they have never had this happen before and cannot direct me on who to contact regarding my vehicle being repaired or bought back etc. they sold me a lemon vehicle and I want to be fully compensated for this.

The truck shut off on me at high speed on the highway. Another time which I caught on video, I was making a right hand turn and the truck shut off.

THE VEHICLE HAS A CONSTANT VIBRATION. IT WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALER WITH 312 MILES. I HAVE COPIES OF EACH TRIP TO THE DEALER. THE DRIVE SHAFT SHOWED NOT ALIGNED PROPERLY, THE BRAKES SHUDDER UNDER DECELERATION, NOISE WAS FOUND IN THE MOTOR MOUNTS. IT VIBRATES AT ALL SPEEDS BUT AT 65 MPH THERE IS A ROARING SOUND INSIDE THE CAB WITH ENOUGH VIBRATION ON THE STEERING WHEEL TO PUT YOUR HAND TO SLEEP. I'M NOT SURE IF SOMETHING IS GOING TO COMPLETELY SEPERATE FROM THE DRIVE TRAIN, IF THE BRAKES ARE GOING TO FAIL OR MOTOR WILL SEPERATE FROM THE MOTOR MOUNTS. I'VE BEEN IN THE TIRE AND WHEEL BUSINESS FOR 41 YEARS AND THERE IS SOMETHING GOING ON. IF THERE'S A VIBRATION AT ALL SPEEDS, SOMETHING IS WRONG. THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN CONFIRMED BY THE DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AND BY THE AREA TECH ADVISOR WHO TOLD ME ON OR ABOUT SEPTEMBER 9TH 2023, HE KNOWS WHAT'S WRONG AND IT CAN NOT BE FIXED. IT APPEARS TO ME THAT FCA IS WAITING FOR SOMETHING TO FAIL BEFORE THEY WILL FIX THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE FILED A "LEMON LAW" SUIT AGAINST FCA IN THE STATE OF TEXAS.

Navigation not working. I am fear of my life because I use I could died. I been trying Dodge ram an Uconnect to fix this problem for almost a year an tell me the part on order with no time frame to fix it.

On three (3) separate occasions I was making a turn when the engine just shut down and turned to the off position. Two occasions were on to a busy road…where fortunately no cars were coming at the time or I could have been seriously injured.
