Fuel Rail leaking from rail seem. Appears to be along the entire rail where the top is joined to the bottom part of the rail.
Engine will stall and autoshift in to park and apply emergency parking brake. Happens when trying to accelerate away from a stop. Very dangerous when trying to pull out into traffic. No warning lights or messages on dash.
On two occasions the engine has stalled while trying to accelerate from a stop sign. Both instances were not complete stops and when I tried to accelerate, a warning chime sounded and the engine shut off. I shifted the vehicle into park and it applied the parking break. When restarted the battery light was on and the voltage going to the battery was low. About half of what it normally is. I shut off the vehicle and opened the driver door to "reset" the system and then started the truck. Once I did this there were no issues on my 25 minute drive to work. The engine was not completely up to operating temperature quite yet but was more than halfway there. On another occasion this winter I was stopped at a stop light at the engine shut off as it noramlly would with the E-torque system. When the light turned green I released the brake pedal and went to accelerate and the engine never restarted. I went through a similar procedure to get the truck started again although it did take longer than this morning.
Due to a leak on the back sliding window water entered the vehicle and caused the “RFO” box to break. Dealership told me that is the box that connects the fob keyes to the truck causing the truck to not recognize any keys.
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, the vehicle stalled. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the road. The vehicle failed to restart and was towed to the residence. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 41,000.
I am writing to file a complaint regarding a serious safety issue with the backup camera system in my Ram 1500.Issue: Since [Date of Issue], the backup camera display on the 12.1-inch screen has been significantly reduced in size. It now occupies only half of the screen, with vehicle controls (climate, audio, etc.) occupying the lower portion. This unexpected change in functionality occurred without any prior notification or explanation. Safety Hazards: Reduced Rearward Visibility: The diminished camera display size severely compromises rearward visibility while backing up. This significantly increases the risk of collisions with pedestrians, cyclists, and other vehicles, particularly children and low-lying objects. Driver Distraction: The presence of vehicle controls within the camera view creates a significant distraction for the driver during a critical maneuver. This distraction further increases the risk of accidents. Obstructed View: The smaller camera view may obstruct crucial areas behind the vehicle, potentially obscuring children, pets, or other obstacles from the driver's view. Widespread Issue: Research on online forums, including the Ram Forum, indicates that this issue is not isolated and affects multiple Ram 1500 owners with the 12.1-inch display. This suggests a potential systemic software or hardware issue. Dealership Inability to Resolve: I have visited the dealership on [01/17/2025] to address this issue, but they have been unable to resolve it. Requested A
**DANGEROUS STALL OUT ISSUE** RAM 1500. Typically 2-4 minutes into driving on random mornings after warming truck up for 5-10 minutes, I go to give it gas and the engine stalls out in the middle of an intersection, sometimes with oncoming traffic. No check engine light at all. Autobrake engages. Put it in park and restart. No issues the rest of the day…until the next morning. Has happened multiple times. Took it to ram/mopar service. They couldn’t find any issues. Replaced the eTorque alternator. Still having the same issue.
1/21/24 was at a stop light. vehicle was idling. tried to accelerate. vehicle cut off, ebrake was applied electronically, check engine light came on and remains on.
The truck repeatedly while turning a corner. Will stall and engage the barking brake. The engine will not always start up immediately following the stall. If the engine does start, you can disengage the parking brake and continue on. However, the battery light will come on as well as an engine light. If you do not pull over and completely shut the vehicle down. While, the battery light is on. Then eventually, what will happen Is it will drain the battery And the truck will just stall and not run at all. The vehicle has been in to the dealership. Multiple times they are unable to recreate the issue. I have brought the vehicle in muliple times. With out and With all of the lights on and we have proven that once you shut down the truck down and restart it, all codes will delete themselves from the memory. The scariest episode, where the truck stalled, was where I was turning left off a major highway and the vehicle stalled across 2 lanes of traffic and would not start. I know that this is an ongoing issue west. D type of engine that I have, and it happens to these truck years 2019-2022. If you call FCA Canada, they will say they're not aware. However, I've been dealing with this problem since I purchased the truck. The first stall happened two weeks after I bought it. There is also a section on the Dodge forum. For this exact issue and multiple complaints in the better business bureau for this issue.
ON 12/31/2024 I was turning right onto a street and my vehicle shut off. There was no power steering or power brakes. The battery light came on and some warning about battery saver emitted. The vehicle would not restart so I had it towed to Larson Dodge in Puyallup, WA. I have a gas, 5.7 L E-torgue engine. Also, the left turn blinker does not always cancel itself and the vehicle was in the shop previously for this, but they could not replicate the issue. Both issues are a safety issue. The dealership stated they were unable to resolve the matter so they contacted their engineers. Its alleged that they are sending some type of module which will not be here until 1/28/25.
I was stopped at a red light and the auto start/stop shut off my engine normally. When the light changed to green, I took my foot off the brake and the engine would not re-start. The transmission shifted to Neutral and the electric parking brake engaged. I had to shift the transmission to Park, and press the start button to re-start the engine.
On Saturday December 29th, while driving on a smaller regional highway I heard noise which seemed to be coming from the truck. As I looked into the rear view mirror I watched in horror the tonneau cover take flight and slam into the roadway behind me. Thankful, the cars noted to my right were not directly behind me, as it would have certainly caused a serious accident. I did circle back to locate the remains of the tonneau cover and still have it in my possession for evaluation. I contacted the dealer inquiring if there had been any recalls or safety issues or concerns regarding the tonneau cover that came with the 2022 custom build RAM truck. In that email I also who I should be in contact with to discuss the replacement of the cover and repairs to my truck for the failure of the cover. In my email to the dealership, I attached photos of the cover, damage and the odometer for documentation. To date yet to hear back from the dealer by phone or email I emailed the general sales manager at the dealership on Janurary 8th.
The engine shut off unexpectedly while stopped at a stop light. It shifted into park and applied the emergency brake automatically. It would not restart immediately and I saw a malfunction warning light with a battery fault symbol on the dashboard.
When accelerating from being stopped at a stop light the vehicle spontaneously shut off and the emergency brake engaged. I was able to restart the vehicle and disengage the brake and drive. Check engine light came on, the start / stop function is disabled and the remote start is disabled. Vehicle is giving engine code P1C64 with the check engine light one.
Jun 13, 2024 2022 Rebel GT FIRST INCIDENT: while making a right hand turn from a stop light, the truck lost acceleration, rolled for a few feet and locked up into ebrake engagement and: >low voltage warning>red battery symbol>clicking lights>complete shut off!! Gave me the follwing messages in the display "key not in vehicle, place in park to start, low volatge." When i finally got it restarted it didnt give me full acceleration power. it limped down the road until i could safely pull off the road. Continued to show low voltage. I limped it home and conitued to have low volatge issues. i took it to the dealer next day and they was unable to recreate or resolve the issue. They reset the battery but It happened again... Well today while at 75MPH on the freeway, attempting to pass a semi my 2022 Rebel GT 24k miles lost acceleration and shut off, same as the times before. >low voltage warning>red battery symbol>clicking lights>complete shut off!! I was ready for the whole truck to lock up right there on the freeway becuase it usually engages the ebrake! After a few seconds it re started itself!! while at 75mph!!! then the transmission slips like its going to lock up-im assuming because of the e-brake engagement it usually does and the fact that i was going 75mph?!! It then engaged to "normal operation" with a 13.1 voltage, so I sped back up and I got my as* to the dealership that was fortunately only 2 miles down the road trying not to panic. My service lady came out and hooked i
The vehicle stalls while driving. I’ve had 6 occurrences all intermittent. The truck is in motion and at any speed. It happened in a roundabout, uphill at 45 mph, while doing a Detroit left, while coasting when approaching a stop light at 30 mph, while turning left into my neighborhood and on the highway with the cruise control on. When it happens I lose steering and power brakes. It terrifying. I’ve been to the dealer and they couldn’t replicate the issue. They are going to put a monitor on. I have read that it may be connected to a faulty electric motor in the drive system. It can happen at any speed in any conditions.
I was driving my Ram up to a red light and was slowing down to come to a stop. Upon my attempt to slow down to the approaching redlight the vehicle abruptly jerked and stopped, the vehicle pretty much felt like it jumped into park on its own. The battery light came on, the brake light came on and the auto start symbol came on with this symbol (A!) The engine felt like it was going to stall, however, it didnt. Then engine was sort of racing and slowing down a few times. The truck would not move and did not stall. With my foot on the brake I could not shift the vehicle into any gear. I hit the stop start button with my foot on the brake and the vehicle would not shut off, it kind of raced the engine a little bit. I attempted hitting the start stop button a sechond time with my foot on the brake, all dashboard lights went off and the truck went into normal driving mode. I was able to continue home that evening and the lights have not been on since. I contacted my dealer and made an appointment for them to check on the vehicle, apt is on Jan 3rd. It was a little bit alarming when this happened and if someone was behind me it may have caused them to run into the back of my vehicle. This took place on December 22nd. I continued to research this problem online and found an article associated to this problem and several reports to NHTSA about this issue. The article indicated I should report this issue, which I am doing. I also immediatley received a notification on my RAM app which
I was making a left turn and the vehicle abruptly stopped blocking both lanes of an arterial highway. The emergency brake came on . The vehicle would not shift into neutral so I couldn’t move it off the road. The vehicle was towed in. Had this happened on the expressway or at higher speed both my family and I could have been badly hurt.
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the contact became aware of a puddle of fuel on the ground underneath the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with the fuel pump failure. The contact was informed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. In addition, the contact was informed that the previous dealer who had performed an unknown recall repair, in which the fuel pump was replaced, had stripped the screws attached to the fuel pump. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The contact stated that the manufacturer confirmed that the recall repair was performed on 08/23/2024. The failure mileage was approximately 23,700.
Vehicle stopped at stop light when start/stop system activated. When acceleration attempted, turning right, vehicle stalled, activated the parking brake and displayed a battery warning. Restarted vehicle and showed a low voltage condition for the battery. Pulled over and turned off the truck and restarted which cleared the issue and voltage returned to normal. This is the third stall over 66k miles, the first with a new battery, which doesn’t seem to be the problem.
The truck was at a stoplight and the auto start/stop system shuts off the engine to conserve fuel. The engine will not turn back on. the truck autoshift corrects the transmission to park. The shifter then can not be used. the truck has to be restarted. The restart can happen on the first try or the third. After the restart the engine is running rough and bucking and the acceleration is not consistent for a about 5 minutes. This problem has happened on at least 5 different occasions. the first in April 2022 with 4410 miles, 2nd March of 2023 with 22085, 3rd November 2023. After each of the first three incidents the truck was brought to the dealer and they were unable to replicate the problem. No error codes registered even thought a got a powertrain alert in the app that I pay for. The fourth time was sometime in the spring of 2024 and the last one was Dec 13th 2024. The truck has not been brought to the dealer after the last two problems. What is the sense when they can't find anything wrong.
When applying the gas petal the engine will stall. The vehicle completely died while driving.
Product recall caused multiple accidents in vehicle resulting in permanent injuries
ABS stability control alarm. Truck went into limp mode. Took for ever to get up to speed. Recall nationwide for 1.5 million vehicles reported in September 2024. There is still no fix. Nor have I been contacted.
When I attempt to fill my 2022 Ram 1500 (55,000 Miles) with gas the valve at the base of the tank (part of the evap system) prevents it from taking gas. The dealership told me it was a safety issue (no kidding) and I needed a new fuel tank. As it turns out this is a really common issue with these Rams and when they pulled the spare tank they had in stock, it had a broken fuel nipple at the top of the tank (which also seems unsafe). Is anything being looked into regarding these gas tanks?
My sun visor detatched and fell on my head while driving causing me to swerve into the median. I took it in and was told it's a common issue for RAMs, The dealership called MOPAR to file a clain, MOPAR insists the sun visor is a trim and not a safety related vehicle component designed to keep the driver from being blinded by the sun.
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving at various speeds and depressing the brake pedal, the brake pedal gradually travelled down while vibrating, and the vehicle failed to respond as needed. The contact stated that upon depressing the brake pedal harder the vehicle responded as needed. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V653000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic, Electronic Stability Control (ESC); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 15. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
At a stoplight waiting for best turn available, truck tells me to shutoff vehicle and restart. THe e-brake was engaged so I was sitting in middle of intersection while event occured. Could not proceed or disnegage ebrake until after shifting truck into park, restart the vehicle and then disengage ebrake.
Automatic braking system has came 3 different time with out anything near the vehicle. First two times it happened I thought maybe something ws there I did not see, the third time I had two people witness the event and verified there was nothing behind the vehicle when the automatic braking stopped the vehicle abruptly.
While towing, the cluster presented "Service Electronic Throttle" warning, lost the ability to accelerate (limp mode), and also lost electronic skid control. Code P00AF was stored. The turbocharger is now being replaced. This is a serious safety issue that is being reported by hundreds of owners of FCA products with this engine across their brands. The same repair is being applied regardless if it is Ram or Jeep, replacing the turbocharger. There is clearly a safety issue and it seems that nobody is doing anything about this widespread safety issue. It is far from isolated and someone will inevitably become seriously injured as a result of this no known flaw if it remains unaddressed by the NHTSA and FCA.
From day one when entering a roadway it would start to move putting me into traffic then just refuse to go leaving stranded for about ten seconds then move again, the whole time it would shudder and shake by engine and the transmission and it was like the system were all fighting for control. Next when entering a freeway I pulled on to the on ramp and immediately got up to 50mph and started to merge and it bogged down like it lost fuel and again I was almost hit by traffic but they avoided me. There are numerous problems with the infotainment system to the point of distraction, most of these problems are transient but on going, they fixed some of them with software updates but then a new crop will pop up. I have not been able to trust the truck since I’ve owned it so I have had to cancel all the plans I made when I bought it. I think two years is long enough to wait to use what I paid for.
On 3 separate occasions, each involving a stop light that changes from red to green as the vehicle has come to nearly a complete stop, I pressed the accelerator and the engine died. The vehicle responds by automatically shifting the transmission into park and setting the emergency brake. Two of these times there has been a car behind me who narrowly avoided rear ending me. The vehicle has restarted each of these times but auto start/stop does not seem to work for a while afterward. I now disengage auto start/stop each time I start the vehicle and have not experienced the problem with it disengaged.
I keep getting a check engine light because of voltage issues related to the etorque system. Also receive a battery icon and volt gauge shows 11v. The code says everything from overcharge to under charge and all kinds of electrical codes. I have been to dealer multiple times. At first they did nothing but last visit they did a control module software update. Code did not appear for a few weeks and last weekend it came back.
I am writing to formally express my concern and dissatisfaction regarding the safety recall repair on the tailgate latch of my 2022 Ram 1500, which was completed on January 8, 2023. Despite the repair being marked as “completed,” I have continued to experience issues with the tailgate latch, indicating that the recall was not fully effective. Given that this recall was issued for a critical safety issue, I am concerned about the ongoing risk it poses and the failure of the repair to resolve the problem. I would like to request that the issue be addressed as soon as possible, and that the vehicle be inspected to ensure that the recall repair is truly complete and functional. Please provide me with guidance on the next steps to ensure that this safety concern is fully resolved. I look forward to your prompt response and a satisfactory resolution to this matter. Thank you for your attention to this urgent issue.
The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, the driver’s side sun visor was lowered; however, the sun visor lowered more than normal, blocking the view of the highway. The contact used force to place the sun visor back into the up position. The contact stated that the force needed to put the sun visor in place caused concern that the sun visor attachment point to the roof might become fractured. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

Rear parking sensors do not pick up objects or sensor will beep very delayed. If a child was behind my vehicle I doubt it would detect.
On November 19, 2024 I was driving my kids to school this morning. It was a clear morning and the roads were dry and clear as well. I was still in our subdivision. I put my blinker on to make a right hand turn and slowed down to a stop. After confirming there were no cars coming, I intended to make my right turn and my engine stalled. I pressed the gas pedal to confirm and the vehicle engine did not respond at all, it just coasted. The message on the dash instructed me to put the truck in "park." As there was another vehicle behind me wanting to turn as well and to avoid any accidents, I put on my hazards to allow the car behind me know I was not moving so they could go around. I then pressed the brake, put the truck back in park. And then I had to restart it again. This is a very scary issue and the dealership's advice was that since there was no actual recall "yet" they would charge us about $200 to do a diagnostic first and then see what the issue was. Our vehicle is a 2022 Ram. I only drive this vehicle to do school drops off/pick ups and I work from home. We've already had to replace the starter assembly at 39.093 miles. And now the engine is stalling while the vehicle is in motion at only 43,000 miles right now.

I have had multiple incidents of my 2022 Ram 1500 ETorque, when coming to a stop the auto start stop system engages and when I let my foot off the brake to take off the truck will not start the engine back. It will engage the parking brake and shift into park, sometimes will start back with the start button depressed. I have had at least 4 different incidents where it leaves me sitting in heavy traffic in a dangerous spot. The CEL has come on twice, other times the "Service Start/Stop System" and "Service Charging System" have come on. I have had it to my dealer in Fayetteville, Arkansas 4 times. They have reprogrammed the ECM, the Hybrid Module, and the Motor Generator Unit, with no improvement in issue.
On three occasions within 72 hours, and while towing a vehicle up an incline, the vehicle presented the "service electronic throttle" malfunction indicator. The vehicle lost power and would not accelerate. The design of the road that I was travelling upon during two of the events, had no shoulders. The third location where the error presented was on heavily travelled two lane highway. In all three circumstances the failure presented risk to my personal safety losing substantial ability to operate the vehicle in a predictable and reliable manner. This failure is not anecdotal. There are literally hundreds of unique instances being reported across just one owner's forum alone. Hundreds more on others.
As I was driving up my driveway preparing to stop in front of the garage, the Ram accelerated out of control, as if someone else was driving the truck. I could not stop it, even with my foot on the brake, until the truck crashed into my house. Even stopped, the engine was revving/racing until I turned the ignition off.
While coming to a stop, the vehicle shutdown on its own and caused the auto parking break to enable. This caused a disruption in surrounding traffic. There were no warning lights or other indicators either before or after the incident.

Hello. While driving on the highway at 65MPH and decelerating down to 35MPH ,about to take a single-lane, curved, and elevated exit, the vehicle dashboard emitted a ping and engine turned off. The dashboard showed a message indicating to press the brake and push the ON/OFF button to start the vehicle (as it normally does when it is off). The ON/OFF button showed the RUN signal as if the engine was still on. 2 seconds later the ENGINE light turned on. It was followed by several messages in the dashboard including ESC system offline. Then the battery signal, as well as many others, turned on. After coming to a complete stop the vehicle engage the park brake on its own. When pressing the brake and pushing the start button the first time, the ignition engaged and stayed engaged for ~5-7 seconds without actually starting the engine. On the second try, after the ignition disengaged and the start button actually showed the OFF position, the vehicle started as normal. The engine light stayed on but no other noticeable effects were perceived. After turning the vehicle off and restarting it two times the engine light stayed off. The incident was not reproduced over the 24-hour period after its onset. As mentioned before, this happened on the highway and the vehicle was coasted on a single lane feeder until a relatively safe spot was located to stop. However, the safety of the pilot and others was at stake as the pass was very narrow. Fortunately, the driver did not had the need to step

What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
