I have had to have the exhaust manifold replaced on both the driver side and passenger side of the dealer. From talking to the dealer this is a common occurrence from the factory where the manifold warps and cracks breaking bolts off in the block and causing exhaust leaks and noise. Both of these occured with less than 72000 miles on the truck and within a month of each other. The safety concern is the resulting exhaust leak that could occur in the cabin of the vehicle and could harm those inside.

The back window is leaking water. Possibly from 3rd brake light or the back window seal. Dealership said factory warranty has expired but have extended warranty on it. They won't cover the replacement window seal because they deemed it has routine maintenance. Back seat and floor are soaked. Truck is 4 years old. They want me to pay for all the repairs. From my understanding this year and model of truck had numerous complaints about this issue for years.

Bought 2019 RAM used in March 2020, had 22,500 miles. One morning the radio display began flickering and jumping around to different screens or settings as if someone was controlling it or logged into the control unit. This happened a few times. I videoed some of this going on with my phone. Then called the dealer. They said they would need it to happen while at the shop to determine the problem. Of course it stopped before I made it to the dealer. Dealer looked into it but could not determine an issue or problem. However it appeared to be fixed after that visit. There have be occasions that I’ve had problems starting the truck. It’s almost as if the truck does not sync with key. After removing key, open and shut door or flipping key over, turn key it cranks. Once back at truck, cranked it and began driving off the power steering failed to work. Popped the hood, examined to see if I could find problem but no luck. Carried truck to local mechanic Jan 11. They saw several codes but wasn’t sure of problem. So he cleared all codes and rechecked. Couldn’t find quick easy fix. Then I made appointment with dealer. The power steering light came on, then the steering wheel began to move in a short abruption manner. Afterwards it was difficult to turn while driving and impossible while in park or at a stop. Vehicle was built in Oct 17, 2018 which there was a recall on other trucks but not this one. Once I went to the dealership and was informed that in fact it was not on the recall, I left. On the way home the steering wheel began the abrupt movement again while I was driving, I lost control of the vehicle for about 5-10 seconds swerving all over the road putting myself and everyone around me at risk. Once I gained full control it went back to normal, steering wheel had full range of motion with no needed of excessive force. “Lost Communication With Power Steering Control Module "A"-” was what was presented as the issue at the dealership.

Vehicle powertrain, engine, and electrical systems, including brake, power steering, and dashboard systems completely shut down (were completely 'black'/off) on three separate occasions - two of which occurred while operating the vehicle. The first occurred while driving on a public/local road in early Dec 2022. Although all systems lost power and were unresponsive, I was able to coast the vehicle to the shoulder without impacting moving vehicles or fixed objects. The vehicle was towed to a Ram Service provider where the issue was investigated for approximately 10-days. The reason for mechanical failure could not be determined, however, they replaced the battery and key fob as precautionary measures - partially at my cost. The basic warrantee expired approximately 3,000 miles before servicing, however the powertrain warrantee is still valid. The second instance was today, 1/10/23, when I parked the car. The shutdown occurred while stationary and in 'park'. After leaving the vehicle for about 30 minutes, it started again without explanation. I reported the incident to the Ram Service provider and began to drive it to the service provider. Upon arrival, it was suggested that I return on Monday, January 23 for the issue to be investigated on the 24th. While driving to my home today, 1/10/23, the vehicle lost all power and was nearly completely unresponsive. I was operating the vehicle at speeds in excess of 65MPH on a 6-lane divided highway with minimal shoulder. Again, I was ab

To whom it may concern, It is of extreme concern the interior moisture issue my vehicle is experiencing. My vehicle has been to Chrysler Dodge Jeep and RAM in Valencia, California twice, for inspections, for reoccurring moisture inside the vehicle. On two separate inspections, on two separate dates, the investigation revealed no moisture issues present. Unfortunately, this week after a moderate rain storm, I discovered that all the interior electronics were dead inside the vehicle, although the exterior power was working on the exterior. Additionally, I discovered several heavy moisture areas within the interior cabin, which was described to me by service personnel, as being common. Finally, I also discovered upon closing the left rear door that there was moderate water draining out of the door, and or possible frame of the vehicle.

My instrument cluster malfunctioned and has been repaired by an authorized Ram dealer. My safety was at risk because my cluster at times would not illuminate. The dealer confirmed the instrument cluster malfunctioned and the entire cluster was replaced. While driving, the instrument cluster would not fully illuminate or display warnings, and at times power steering temporarily unavailable. The instrument cluster drained my battery and caused permanent damage to it. The vehicle would not start on its own. The vehicle has only been inspected by the dealer, and Chrysler is in possession of the faulty instrument cluster. This issue is similar with other service bulletins related to Ram's poor quality control of their instrument clusters. No recall has been issued for my specific vehicle though it was clearly a manufacturer defect. It should be recalled and my repair cost refunded due to this being a safety issue.

While under warranty brought my vehicle to the dealer because I could not pump gas. The pump would continue to click off while fueling. Dealer told me that it may be the gas station that I'm going to and that they could not replicate the problem. Fast forward 6 months, the vehicle is now out of warranty and the problem has continued to the point where I can't put any fuel in. Brought it to another dealer and they said I need a new fuel pump and a new fuel tank at at cost of $2500. This should have been covered under the warranty but the first dealer was less than honest. I'm sure they knew what the issue was since there are numerous complaints similar to mine on this site. NHTSA should investigate and/or open a recall because RAM won't. This fuel issue isn't just related to the 2019 1500 but other years as well. Consumers are paying for repairs that RAM should be covering through the recall.

My power steering is not functioning properly. I have to let my truck warm up for an extended amount of time otherwise it doesn't function. There is a malfunction indicator light that comes in and tells me the power steering needs serviced. Sometimes, even after 30 minutes of warming up, it still doesn't work. I have had it cut out and stop working while I'm driving and been forced to drive it without the power steering working. There is no indication when it will cut on or shut off. It has abruptly started working in the middle of driving and nearly caused me to be in several accidents and almost caused me to run off the road twice. This is a known issue by the manufacturer for the same year, make and model as mine, but for some reason I'm told my vehicle is not included in the recall. This is the only vehicle my family has at the moment and this is dangerous and scary. My vehicle should be included in the recall. I cannot afford this repair on my own right now.

The rear window frame has cracked with under 33,000 miles on the truck. The crack occurred prior to my purchase of the vehicle. The crack has allowed water to enter the rear of the vehicle and potentially damage/interfere with various electronic systems and cause odors/mold. This water intrusions has caused some of these vehicles to no longer operate. The vehicle is available for inspection. It has not been inspected by a dealership to my knowledge (recently purchased used). This issue has not activated any sort of warning lights and was discovered luckily by accident, so I have been able to take some action to attempt to mitigate this issue. These mitigation steps are in no way permanent solutions for this issue.

2 Issues to go over: 1.) The rear defroster. My defroster has failed on me twice. First time I had it repaired, second time they were going to charge me the same amount for the same failure. I had it repaired by my local auto shop, So it has not been touched by a manufacturer technitian. No warning to it at all. I only noticed it once I had ice covering my rear window and could not defrost, elimitating any center rear view completetly. 2.) The Main issue is the side view mirrors. They are automatic mirrors with a button on the interior to open and close them. From what the Dealership has told me is they use plastic gears to control the mirror operation. And they tend to get stripped out, this happens so often that there is a 6 month backorder on these parts. The safety issue arrises when I am driving down the road at either highway speeds or if there are large wind gusts, my side view mirror will close on me, because those gears holding the mirror in place has stripped so it just closes due to wind pressure. I have to stop the car, get our and reposition the mirror or else I have no visibility from the side view mirror that closes. This is a massive safety risk as I am unable to see to the left OR right of me if my mirror collapses shut. And the fact that this happens to so many vehicle that I cant get the parts to fix it for at least six months in unnacceptable.

Our defrost system on windshield is only working on one side. First things first, the Vin number and the picture listed does not match our vehicle so I will be calling the the safety line to get it fixed. When googling the Dodge recalls. It popped up as a recall but I guess it’s not on our vin number dodge yet? Then the truck automatically started smelling like antifreeze. When driving it sometimes loses power to the gas pedal and starts to slow down! The back windshield started leaking the same day as the defrost malfunction. There is no dash signal when there’s low air in tires….. And depending on speed of the dodge started making like dying whale moaning sounds. When turning the truck off, it stops for a minute, but then it starts again. This truck only has 50,000 miles on it and it should not be tearing up this quick as it is. When pushing the push start on and off, it always goes into a cc mode instead of turning off Last but not least the gas tank is malfunctioning when you put the gas pump into the tank I think the gas is leaking out and you have to constantly reset the gas pump handle. Also, the tailgate is getting stuck and you cannot open it. I’m afraid it’s going to come open when driving. Thank you for your time. Hope to speak with you soon. "Stuck" feeling consistently reproduced while at highway speeds making left bend, left lane change, or slight left turn. Problem consistently occurs between 10 and 11 o'clock angle. Problem occurs occasionally with right bends, lane changes, and turns. Problem was experienced immediately at purchase of the vehicle (34K miles) but not fixed until 47k miles. Safety Concern: Problem occurs at high speeds and jerking the steering wheel to correct for the "stick" could lead to overcorrection or slippage, especially in poor weather conditions. Unsafe in dense traffic. Dealer: Dealer identified the issue with the rack and pinion. Dealer said "found rack to have internal fault replaced and set toe cn". Dealer mentioned there was an electrical short in the rack and pinion causing the "stick". Inspection: No inspection made by anyone other than the dealership.

When driving the truck at times the steering sticks to the left when making a left turn. The steering sticks around the 9-11 o'clock position on the steering wheel and will not return to center unless you turn the wheel yourself. You can feel the sticking when you bump the wheel toward 12 o'clock to return to center. It is definitely a safety issue and makes me extremely nervous while it is occurring. What if it will not allow me to correct the turning at some point it will cause an accident. I've had it at the garage and they said they could not reproduce the sticking when they were driving it. I have a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic 3.6L Pentastar that I was driving home in from being out of town, and as soon as I got back in town I started getting the smell of burning oil coming through my AC vents when I would stop. I assumed it was a car nearby, but once I stopped at my house the smell came back. The next morning I went outside and there were a few drops of oil under the truck, so I looked underneath and the transmission pan cover underneath my truck was covered in oil. I couldn’t figure out where the oil was coming from, so I took the truck to my mechanic. They took a look at it and saw that the leak was coming from my oil housing assembly, and oil would run to the back of my engine then spill down over the transmission’s bell cover and drip off the transmission pan cover. This mechanic is not a large mechanic by any means, and they said that they usually get 20-30 of these same trucks every year with the same exact problem: a leak coming from the oil housing assembly. They said that it happens because the manufacturer cut corners when making this part, and after 60-90k miles it will give out due to the heat coming off the engine. They also said that the manufacturer and dealers will try to blame it on the consumer stating they over torque the filter when replacing it, but that is not the case at all. It is the quality of the oil filter housing that is the issue, and the manufacturer needs to improve the quality of the part and do a recall for this part. My truck was ju

The RAM 1500 Bighorn cannot take more than mere ounces of unleaded gasoline before the nozzle auto shuts off. It does not matter how fast gas comes out of the nozzle; it can take up to an hour to fill from empty to full going at .1 gallon every 5 seconds. When brought into the RAM dealership, the techs stated this is a well known and documented issue that a lot of RAM owners are seeing, but there has not been a recall on it.
