THE 5 BLOWOUTS WERE ON OUR 5TH WHEEL. THEY WERE COOPER TIRES AND WE TALKED TO LES COOK AND HE SAID HITCHHIKER SHOULD HAVE USED LT245-75-R16E TIRES. WE ALSO LOST TWO FENDERS AND THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT AND ALSO THE BLOWOUTS COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. IT WAS ALWAYS ON THE INTERSTATE HWY. AND WE WOULD HAVE TO WAIT FOR HELP TO COME. WE WERE LUCKY NOTHING SERIOUS HAPPENED. CUSTOM CAMPERS WHO MAKES THE HITCHHIKER FEEL THE RIGHT SIZE TIRES WERE ON THE UNIT BUT IT IS OBVIOUS THEY WERE NOT. WE HAVE NEVER EVER HAD A BLOWOUT ON ANY RIG WE HAVE OWNED. 5 BLOWOUTS IN 3 YEARS....SOMETHING IS WRONG. *AK

Reading this record

No unusual pattern of severe incidents in the complaint record.

Complaint counts track how many cars were sold and how long they have been on the road as much as they track quality. A common model from 2013 has had a decade to accumulate reports; a rare one from last year has not. The signal worth weighing is in the severity columns, in whether the same component keeps appearing, and in whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.

Most recent recall on file: none. Source: NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation.
