It is sporadic, when I accelerated there is hesitation in the transmission. I almost didn't make my left hand turn fast enough to not get T Boned it has been happening since I got the car in 2016. The dealer is aware of the issue and they said they adjusted something but it keeps coming back.

The car began to jerk when driven. One day, it stopped working; the engine was still running but it wouldn't shift gears. The transmission was repaired, and several parts were replaced. However, the car still jerks when reaching 50 miles per hour, the horn doesn't sound, not even the alarm, and it makes a loud noise when making a tight turn.

My car's transmission gave out in November 2023. It was returned the day before Thanksgiving. For the second time on January 11, 2024, the transmission blew. It was towed to the dealership where they notified me that the car would need another transmission. The car received another transmission and the car was returned to me on February 13, 2024. On February 14, 2024, after only driving 65 miles the car stalled after exiting the highway during rush hour. The car would not accelerate properly and was jerking. The car wouldn't accelerate past 15 mph. I was able to get the car to a safe location where I parked and called to get the car towed back to the dealership. On February 15, 2024, the dealership notified me that the transmission blew again. There were no warning signs or lights when the car stalled. It was driving fine until I exited the highway and was sitting at a red light. When I tried to accelerate at the change of the light the car jerked and would not pick up speed past 15 mph. Having my system fail unexpectedly in the middle of traffic put me and my passengers in danger.

The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH, the vehicle started shaking and failed to accelerate as needed. The check engine warning light illuminated, and the vehicle decelerated to approximately 30 - 40 MPH. The vehicle was repaired however, while driving at speeds of 50 MPH or more, the vehicle would start to shake and hesitate while accelerating. The contact stated that over time the vehicle started failing to accelerate to speeds exceeding 50 MPH. On another occasion while driving up to a red light at approximately 40 MPH, the vehicle started jerking while idling at the traffic light. The vehicle then failed to accelerate above 20 MPH and was shaking and losing motive power while driving. The contact pulled to the side of the road to have the vehicle towed. While parked and waiting to be towed, the "Check Engine" warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission had failed. The transmission was replaced after the first failure however, the transmission was not repaired or replaced with the failure persisting. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 100,000.

I’m getting the code P0101 which is saying I have a bad MAF sensor. I have replaced this sensor and im still having problems. Getting worse than average gas mileage, engine RPM’s going crazy while accelerating. Not idling properly, hesitant and jerky movements. I’m getting tired of searching every little thing and I know lots of people with this same problem. Sounds like a manufacturers mistake.

Car started with a light vibration and after driving for a few feet would no longer accelerate when pressing the gas. For the first few days it would violently jolt like if someone hit me before gaining speed, but when i hit the brake it lags to accelerate. Now the fastest it goes it 20mph. If I press the gas pedal the engine makes a loud noise but does not speed. The dealer provided a code P2895 and suggested changing the whole transmission. The car has kept up with all maintenance checks and fluid changes and is in good condition it just reached 100,000 no accidents. The stalling happened while I was in traffic on the freeway and jolting of the car made it feel unsafe luckily I was able to use the shoulder to exit and call a tow truck. No accident but does not feel safe to continue to drive Cruise control never worked since I bought it. Bought the car new and got it fixed while it was still under warranty but stopped working again. Didn’t bother to cont. getting it fixed since I don’t use it

Over the last year my 2015 Nissan Sentra has been having problems of judder (shake and shudder), hesitation on acceleration, lack of power and RPM flare. It happens when I am driving highway speed and when going uphill on the highway as well. I went to Firestone to get a diagnostic check and came out with the code of p17f4. I was surprised given that no check engine light has turned on. I will be going to the Nissan dealership and asking them what steps can happen. This is the second Nissan vehicle (the second vehicle is a Nissan Rogue) that has had a transmission problem.

The transmission started with acceleration speed issues, after about a week, it started stuttering and failing to accelerate at all. Today the car would not accelerate through a traffic light which could have caused an accident. A mechanic has confirmed that the transmission is the issue. Initially there were no check engine lights or anything that showed up but now the check engine light is on.

While pulling out in an intersection, my car would not accelerate as normal and I was almost hit by incoming traffic. When accelerating from stop, the vehicle moves slowly and hesitates. Once over a certain speed the car will function properly. The CVT is an issue in models 2013-2015 Nissan Altima also, but the manufacturer issued an extension for the powertrain warranty. The same should be done for the Sentra. It's a safety concern, because the CVT can go out at any time putting the driver at risk.

I just bought a 2015 Nissan Sentra. I have gotten 2 error codes P0101 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction and C1130 Engine Signal 1 two times in a span of 4 months. Based on my research, the 'C' error code only occurs because of the 'P' error code, meaning once I resolve the 'P' code then the 'C' code will resolve. In both instances my report, that I got from Autozone, suggested to replace my Mass Air Flow Sensor(MAFS). The first time it occurred I bought a brand new MAFS from Autozone and installed it in my car using YouTubes help. After it was installed, I had a mechanic reprogram my cars computer. The mechanic's exact words were that he "relearned the throttle body values". I did this because he advised me to just to be safe. My check engine light came on recently and when I got the codes read at Autozone it was telling me the EXACT same codes as last time. This is four months later from when I installed the brand new MAFS in my car so I highly doubt it is the MAFS that is the problem. In my attached pictures, there is another code regarding my transmission that is unrelated to this issue so please ignore it, I'm getting it fixed on my own. I did research online and found that this exact same issue with the 2 error codes I am having is a very common issue with Nissan Sentras in general. Please help and force Nissan to resolve this ongoing issue that MANY people are having.

The CVT transmission failed again. It was replaced in Dec 2021 and now it has failed again. The safety of my 19 year old daughter was put at risk being she was 30 minutes away from home and with no prior warning the transmission failed as she was driving it. The car runs great outside of the transmission issues. We had to have the car towed to our local dealership. They did cfm that the transmission failed again. There were no indications that there was something wrong with the transmission. It was not lagging, it was running great. Nissan is fully aware of all the transmission issues they are having and they are not willing to help with the faulty transmission. This will be the 3rd transmission if we pay 6000.00 to have it repaired for it to fail again in less then 2 years.

We bought this vehicle brand new in 2016, and it seem to be a nice vehicle until it hit 30,000 miles. When we hit 30,000 miles in April 2020, the brake system failed, causing a passenger side collision, however, there were no injuries. Then in November 2020, the transmission went out. At that time we had to have the front brakes replaced as well. Then in May 2021 at 40,000 miles, we had to replace the front brakes again. In September 2021 at 50,000 miles, the front and rear brakes started grinding and needed replaced, which ended up having the ABS system, ABS module, brake lines, brake rotors, brake calipers, brake drums, and pads replaced. In February 2022 at 58,000 miles, while driving home, there was a loud bang from the front of the vehicle, the vehicle shuddered violently, had very little acceleration, and there was a large amount of white smoke coming from the back of the vehicle. My 2015 Nissan Sentra has received routine maintenance since I had purchased it new as the original owner. The vehicle was taken to Authorized Nissan Dealerships for routine maintenance and transmission diagnostic test 50,220MI. During this time the vehicle was within mileage and time warranty per Nissan settlement of the CVT transmission. At the time, the transmission was experiencing surging and falling RPMs at or around 2900RPM traveling above 70MPH; heavily prevalent at speeds +75MPH. I had also mentioned to the technician the problem seems to worsen after driving for duration's when the transmission gets warmer. At lower speeds it would sometimes jerk or 'downshift' rough during accelerations. The dealership had pulled no codes during the diagnostic test, "test drove and could feel a slight trans slip/judder when going uphill especially. no codes present."(technician) The issues became more prevalent, I felt my safety was definitely at risk on the highway, as well as my car could not be depended upon for longer distant trips especially, became limiting factor. The vehicle was brought back again for routine maintenance and another transmission diagnostic 57,899MI. Surging and jerking issues had worsened. While entering a connecting highway the car had accelerated to 55MPH before 'shifting' and the had risen to 4900RPMs. Following the incident my vehicle would experience rougher 'downshifts' and jerkier acceleration than before. They now deny that this issue exists and will not offer a fix. The car is a safety hazard. It loses the ability to accelerate at low and high speeds. While on the highway or in the city the car loses the ability to maintain or increase speed. There is also a known issue with this car related to the brake switch and moisture in the tail light. The dealership knows by way of Nissan corporation sharing an article with them about this issue in other cars and knows that the brake switch is faulty and that the car can brake and accelerate at the same time but no recall has been issued.
