While driving on the highway and when I try to accelerate in my Nissan Sentra, I've noticed that my transmission was starting to jerk. Because of this, I took my Nissan Sentra to a Nissan service center to get it inspected. The mechanic informed me that my transmission is faulty. I purchased my car in 2014 and only have 68,000 miles on it so I was shocked that my transmission is already having issues. Once I started to research Nissan Sentra CVT transmissions online, I noticed that there were numerous complainants from many consumers regarding this CVT transmission. I was told by the mechanic that I had to replace and fully pay for the transmission which costs $6,500 and Nissan Corporate was not going to help in anyway. This is unacceptable that Nissan is selling cars with faulty parts knowing that they will have to be repaired or replaced sooner than anyone can anticipate. It's also very dangerous to drive on these transmissions as they can breakdown any moment, potentially leading to a car accident and bodily injuries. Any Nissan car with this faulty transmission should be recalled. Here are all the links to other consumers filing lawsuits due to this issue: https://knightlawgroup.com/nissan-cvt-altima-sentra-versa/#:~:text=A%20Nissan%20transmission%20lawsuit%20alleges,or%20risk%20getting%20rear%2Dended. https://lemonlawexperts.com/2022-nissan-cvt-transmission-settlement-update/

I currently have a 2014 transmission Sentra SV. I am currently in need of a transmission. This would be the 2nd transmission. Nissan corporate is stating that there is nothing that they can do for me they are very unprofessional and unapologetic on the issue that they have with their transmission. I I have contacted the head quarters to see if they could at least pay for half of the cost and the super Carl was very rude and stated that he was confused on what I thought that he could do. He also advise that that he was unaware of any issues with a 2014 Nissan Sentra. I advise that this was very funny since there was a law suit again Nissan because of this exact same issue. I am very disappointment in how things are going. I personally don’t have the money to get a new car nor buy a new transmission I think that since has been a knee issue Nissan should help pay or either pay for all services with the transmission
I was driving and my car didn't speed up when I push the pedal, and the car behind me almost crash en me.
My Nissan Sentra burst into flames on July 27,2022-not sure why this occurred; the car was last serviced before this incident on June 17, 2022-the car's Compressor/AC were replaced. I had just parked the car at a hotel when the fire began. The only inspection was from a fire marshal and the insurance company that car was a complete loss. There was no warning when this happened and had I had a full tank of gasoline this would have gravely injured me. The car had seven years of meticulous upkeep so this catastrophe was totally unexpected. The autos parked on either side of me suffered serious damage as well.

The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 82,424.
Daughter described pushing break to the bottom /or floor boards while the car slowly began to slow. Yes, the vehicle is currently available for inspection. An impact occurred to daughter which caused bruising and duress. Another vehicle was struck. No, the problem has not been confirmed by a dealer or independent service ctr. No. None that my daughter reported. I had driven the vehicle a few days prior and noticed nothing unusual upon breaking.
When driving one day my car began to shift into higher and lower gears on its own. I began experiencing my car shifting and losing power randomly while driving. I brought my car to a nissan dealer and was informed that my car was one of many with a faulty CVT Transmission. My car is 6 months and 4,000 miles past the warranty so they cant help me, but im hoping you can help others before someone is killed by their defective car.
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that while her son was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed with transmission failure. The dealer informed the contact that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 87,000.
The car was having problems accelerating, and then would also drop quickly in mph while driving; both situations are really dangers to myself as the driver, my passengers as well as others on the road. I brought the Sentra to the dealership where I always get it serviced ( no warning lamps on). Upon inspection, I was told the transmission was failing, on an 8 yr old car with only 53k miles on it.
Transmission faulty .The cvt requires compete replacement. Yes component is available for inspection. Loss of power, transmission jerking, transmission slipping. Transmission reliability called into question and can result in serious harm to unsuspecting drivers. Yes, problem has been confirmed by dealership as well as Nissan Consumer Affairs. Problems first appeared in February 2022 and was diagnosed after complete failure May 2022. Transmission has multiple diagnostic trouble codes present.
Subject: 2014 NISSAN SENTRA TRANSMISSION Nissan has not recalled the 2014 Nissan Sentra. there are thousands of complaints online and at dealers. My warranty has expired last August 2021 and I only have 53354 milage. The dealer quoted me 4k to fix. I called Nissan Corporate and they said they would cover half of cost. This car is not safe to drive it changes speeds without notice and doesn't accelerate. It goes from 65mph to 45mph. This is dangerous on the highway. The dealer and corporate are aware of the danger. Confused at why would I have to pay a dime to fix if they know there are issues with the transmission.
2014 Sentra with 99000 miles. Car would have trouble going forward until reached 25 miles an hour then would excelerate until you got to about 55 and then decelerate to about 20 miles an hour. Almost got hit on major highway because of this. Sent car to garage and after diagnosis had transmission replace. $5200 what is nissan doing about this..nothing. Someone could have been seriously injured!!!
I was driving my 2014 nisaan sentra sv and when merging into traffic from the off ramp as i turned and accelerated in that second the car downshifted and accelerated enough to put me in danger due to the oncoming vehicles it then shook and i had the gas pedal depressed completely the vehicle then jerked real hard and would not go thankfully the vehicles that were oncoming seen me with just enough time to almost cause a huge car accident they slowed however you could hear brakes and see people behind the first vehicle swerving due to the sudden stop because of me i was honked at cussed at flipped off someone even threw a drink at my car and it could have been way worse the vehicle would not shift i had to get out in the middle of highway to push my car into a safe zone where i was in danger not to mention i lost my job for the simple fact it was my first day at my new career in johnstown at high country beverage since i purchassed this vehicle on July 3 2021 the dealership sold me a lemon vehicle that absolutely would not pass emissions in which i had to force dealership to re issue my temp tags 3 times due to the failed attemps and they would not give me my money back they had several attemps and chances to fix the issue in which they never did ive spent hundreds of dollars out of my pocket to figure it out and finally jan 2022 i was able to pass emissions , then shortly after in feb 2022 the car kept dying out and reading p0101 p0102 code mass air flow sensor and low circut
Both rear running lights blew at the same time, so i bought New ones, plugged them jn for them to still not work. Heard there was a recall on other versions of my vehicle.
The contact owns a 2014 Nisan Sentra. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, the vehicle inadvertently decelerated 20 MPH. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal however, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact veered to the side of the roadway and waited to attempt to restart the vehicle. The contact then attempted to restart the vehicle however, the vehicle would jerk and failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the transmission had seized and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 73,000.
Car would shake and stutter in the middle of acceleration. After a stop, my car would hold back and jump before it accelerated again. The RPM meter would also shoot up and the car would begin to pull in the middle of the freeway. Very unsafe.
I first had an issue with my transmission in 2016, maybe a year after purchasing, at 72k miles. I was driving on the interstate at 75/80mph when suddenly my car decelerated rapidly, with a large tractor trailer directly behind me. I veered off the interstate, onto the shoulder, with the tractor trailer barely missing me. My 11 year old son was also with me. After that, I’d occasionally have issues with my car not wanting to accelerate at all. I got stuck a few times in the roadway, until it would suddenly work again 20-30 minutes later after sitting. My next long trip was a 3 hour trip from home several months later. My transmission died, while driving, at about 45mph. I couldn’t make it back home and had to have it towed. It was replaced, and I’m having new issues now, which I’ll put in a second report. What are your children worth to you? Do you want them to be in an accident because a cvt transmission failed in front of them and you or your children’s responsible party couldn’t stop on time? What are my children worth? This was and is terrifying. Please email me for additional information - I don’t have it at this very moment.
This is 4 years after my first transmission died and was replaced. I couldn’t keep my car speed up in evening traffic, at 65mph, and my RPM’s began to jump back and forth, never steadying. My car jerked so badly I was struggling to control it and several cars had to pass me, going into the lane to the left of me. I had to drive it one more day, tonight, and after 60 minutes of driving, at 70mph on the interstate, when 3/4 of the way home, it began violently jerking again and RPM’s were jumping uncontrollably. Again, I struggled to control the vehicle and had to decelerate by removing my foot from the gas pedal. I had to put my emergency lights on, so other vehicles would hopefully go around me. Almost home, I could barely accelerate after stopping for a red light, then my car dramatically slowed to about 10mph with a tractor trailer approaching behind me, though thankfully, on a less-traveled road, so I had time to pull over, not completely stopping because I was afraid it wouldn’t accelerate at all if I did, from experience with the first transmission. After the truck passed, I slowly managed to make it uphill to the next intersection, where again, once accelerating when I turned, the car began jerking erratically. It never made it above 30mph for the last 3 minutes home. It was late at night and very dark. This car - this transmission issue - is absolutely terrifying. To drive along a consistent speed and suddenly have an out-of-control vehicle, with numerous cars around yo
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated while driving 45 MPH, the vehicle started to rev independently; however, while depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to drive to his residence. The contact called the manufacturer and made them aware of the failure and it was suggested that the vehicle be towed to the local dealer. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with TSB: PM562 (Power Train). The contact towed the vehicle to the local dealer but was informed they would not perform TSB: PM562 (Power Train) repair due to the vehicle not being serviced prior to the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 144,000.
CVT transmission has never been right since the car was nearly new. Shifting was erratic and would slip as it shifted to a higher gear, twice the car lost speed on the highway, motor running and RPM's revving indicating a transmission failure. We had it in to be checked under warranty twice (under 55,000 miles). All they would do is a software upgrade and said there was nothing wrong with it. The problems got worse and we took it to another dealer. They dropped the pan and "checked" for metal shavings. New fluid added and sent on our way again, saying nothing is wrong, that this is normal for a CVT transmission. Obviously no one was going to fix or replace it and all we could do was to continue to drive the vehicle. Now the transmission has failed completely. RPM's jumping up and down, car jerking, loss of power, we were worried of getting rear ended as we couldn't drive at a continuous speed. We barely made to a relatives house to park it. It has been towed to the dealer again and is being checked out. I cannot believe a recall has never been filed for the CVT transmission in these vehicles. Obviously Nissan is not going to do anything about the problem, even though there are thousands of complaints and a class action lawsuit filed against Nissan for this safety hazard.
2014 Nissan Sentra -My abs system light came on failed inspection and had to be replaced. I had 32,322 miles on my car. I am 73 years old and for me to pay out over $1000,00 for a part that should not have failed according to the three certified mechanics. The light appeared the day I took it in to get my inspection sticker. This is so disheartening, to say the least. other models have been recalled ...my mechanic said it would be dangerous to drive it ...I contacted Nissan and all they could say was it's not under warranty and they have no recalls on my year. if you could help or direct me how to get help I would greatly appreciate it

Car’s engine began to fail and was indicated by RPM meter malfunctioning and car jerking while driving. When breaking and accelerating the car would delay and jerk.
While driving the car in the city, the car suddenly lost the ability to accelerate. I was stalled in the middle of an intersection to turn left. I was almost hit several times as the light cycles twice and I traffic wouldn't allow me to push the car. After five minutes, this seemed to rectify itself. However, the car started to shudder and a light grinding could be heard when driving. Then the inability to accelerate started again. I immediately took the vehicle to a repair facility. They inspected the car and said I needed to take the car to a dealer as they felt it was a transmission issue and that my car had a terrible reputation with CVT troubles. I took it to a Nissan dealer and when I described the issue they said it would be 3 weeks before I could be seen. I'm still waiting for the appointment date (Dec 20, 2021)

FIRENo INJURIES0 DEATHS0 The transmission slipping. I would press the gas to try and get the car to move but it would drag The RPM’s kept jumping back and forth causing the car to shake . After making it back my check engine light came on and the car wouldn’t back in once I finally got it home
The transmission in my car kept slipping. I would press the gas to try and get the car to accelerate but it would not. The RPM’s kept jumping back and forth causing the car to stutter. After letting it sit for a while it stuttered all the way home. After making it back my check engine light came on and the car would no longer move.
The check engine light came on while on highway. Attempted to put vehicle in reverse in a busy parking lot but it would not shift. Car is a 2014 Nissan Sentra with only 73700 miles. Mechanic says the transmission is stuck in "fail mode". The car shuddered ever since it was purchased. Dealer suspects the transmission pump is failing.
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that the sun roof fractured while the vehicle was parked and unoccupied in the drive way. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted. The failure mileage was 88,000.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON WENT TO HAVE IT CHECKED. A CODE OF P17F0 CAME UP. IT'S A CVT/TRANSMISSION ISSUE. MY CAR WON'T ACCELERATE UPON HITTING THE GAS AND IT JERKS AND SHUDDERS ONCE I GAIN SOME SPEED. RPMS JUMP. AT TIMES MY CAR SEEMS TO STALL. I HAVEN'T DRIVEN IT IN WEEK. BECAUSE I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET ESTIMATES ON HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST TO FIX. I ONLY TAKE THIS VEHICLE TO AND FROM WORK ON REGULAR STREETS. IT'S ONLY A 15 MINUTE DRIVE.
FUEL PUMP FAILURE AT 75K MILES. RESULTED IN VEHICLE SPUTTERING, THEN STALLING, DASHBOARD LIGHTS GOING OUT AND THEN TURNING BACK ON WITH MORE THAN HALF A TANK DIFFERENCE IN THE FUEL READING, AND THEN RAN OUT OF GAS ENTIRELY. BROUGHT TO DEALERSHIP WHO DENIED THERE BEING AN OPEN RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE EVER, WHICH IS INCORRECT AS I'VE ALREADY HAD TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION FROM A RECALL. THE VEHICLE IS COMPLETELY UNSTABLE AND IS NOW ALSO HAVING PROBLEMS HOLDING BRAKE FLUID. CAN'T FILL TANK AT THE GAS STATION EITHER BECAUSE REFUELING STOPS IMMEDIATELY EVERY TWO SECONDS AFTER TURNING ON EVEN IF YOU PHYSICALLY HOLD IT THERE... YOU CONTINUE TO HAVE TO CLICK IT BACK ON BECAUSE THE FUEL IS NOT ACCEPTED BY THE VEHICLE. THIS CAR SHOULD BE RECALLED ENTIRELY. IT IS UNSAFE AND HAS STRANDED ME 3 TIMES AND REPAIRS HAVE BEEN UNREASONABLE. NISSAN MUST TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND ISSUE RECALLS THAT WILL FIX THE ISSUES FREE OF CHARGE. AS OF TODAY I'VE BEEN ASKED TO INVEST ANOTHER $3,000.00 TO FIX IT, BUT IT'S WORTH LESS THAN THAT NOW.
2017 I HAD AN TRANSMISSION REPLACE AT 50,000 MILES. THERE IS NO WAY THAT A TRANSMISSION SHOULD GO OUT IN A CAR SO FAST. HERE I AM AGAIN IN 2020 MY TRANSMISSION WENT OUT AGAIN. I HAVE CALLED CONSUMER SERVICE FOR HELP WITH THEY DEFECTIVE PART THEY REFUSE TO HELP ME. I WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE THE MILLAGE. IT HAS BEEN SITTING UP FOR A YEAR AND I'M STILL PAYING MY NOTES AND UNABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR. THIS IS KNOW FAULT TO ME BECAUSE THE TRANSMISSION IS A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. I HAVE SEEN AND LOOKED AT VIDEOS OF PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM I HAVE BUT YET NISSAN DOSE NOT WANT TO OFFER HELP TO THERE CUSTOMERS. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THERE ISN'T A RECALL ON THESE CVT TRANSMISSION. NISSAN MAKE A HORRIBLE PRODUCT AND THE CUSTOMER HAVE TO SUFFER. THIS IS NOT RIGHT FOR OTHER TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OTHER. NISSAN HAVE SOLD ME A LEMON OR FLOODED OUT CAR. I COME HERE FOR MY COMPLAINTS BECAUSE NO ONE IS TRYING TO HELP ME. THERE IS A PANDEMIC OUT HERE AND CAN'T AFFORD TO PAY CAR NOTE AND GET IT REPAIRED. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

WAS SITTING IN THE CAR CLEANING AND LISTENING TO MUSIC NOT LONG AFTER STARTING THE RADIO KEPT GOING ON AND OFF AND THEN WOULDN'T START BUT MOST LIGHTS CAME ON THE GUY I BOUGHT THE CAR OFF OF SAID HE WAS TOLD IT'S THE BATTERY WHICH HE JUST REPLACED LAST YEAR BUT AFTER CHARGING IT A BIT IT STARTED. BUT AFTER DOING FURTHER RESEARCH APPARENTLY IT'S SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE TERMINALS THEY USE ON THIS CAR DRAINING AND DESTROYING THE BATTERY AND THAT IF IT DOESN'T POP UP IN YOUR RECALL [XXX] THEN YOU HAVE TO REPLACE IT AND HAVE IT FIXED WHICH IS OVER $2000 THE CAR ISN'T EVEN WORTH THAT ESPECIALLY WITH THE WEAK SPEAKERS AND OUT OF DATE CD PLAYER NO BLUETOOTH OR REVERSE CAMERA! EVER SINCE I FIRST BROUGHT THE VEHICLE BRAND NEW WITH 23 MILES ON IT I'VE HAD PROBLEMS WITH WHAT ALMOST SEEMS LIKE THE TRANSMISSION, BUT I THINK IT'S A SENSOR THAT TELL THE CAR TO SHIFT OR GIVE GAS. MY ENGINE HAS CAME ON A FEW TIMES THEN GONE OFF IT HAD TO DO WITH A SENSORY THAT WAS CAUSING TO MUCH AIR TO LEAK INTO THE GAS LINE , REASON FOR THE STUDDERING WHEN YOU ACCELERATE AT STOP SIGNS . THE CAR OUT OF NO WHERE JUST STOP GIVING GAS AND TAKES A LONG TIME TO SHIFT WHEN I FIRST MENTION THE PROBLEMS TO THE CAR COMPANY THEY SAID THE ENGINE SHIFTS ON ITS OWN SO IT CAN FEEL A LITTLE GREEKY ?? WHAT KINDA ANSWER IS THAT . NEEDLESS TO SAY I HAD ANOTHER ISSUE WITH MOSTUIRE GETTING INTO MY HEADLIGHTS AND CAUSING THE LIGHTING SYSTEMS TO MALFUNCTION. I DON'T SEE THIS CAR LASTING ME ANOTHER 2 YEARS THE WAY THE CAR RUNS . AND I DO IN TOWN DRIVING .
THROTTLE BODY MALFUNCTIONS AFTER 85,000 MILES. LOSS OF POWER.
CVT FAILURE CAR CAN'T SHIFT UNLESS SHUTTING OFF CONTACTED NISSAN THEY SAY THE WOULD HAVE REPAIRED BUT REFUSED TO DUE TO MILEAGE WARRANTY IT'S A 2013 NISSAN SENTRA HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE VEHICLE BECAUSE IT STOPS OUT OF NOWHERE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION PUTTING ME AND OTHERS IN DANGER
THE TRANSMISSION WENT OUT. 2014 MANUFACTURE TRANSMISSION FOR NISSAN SENTRA ARE DEFECTED.
WHEN I TURN ON MY HEADLIGHTS MY BRAKE LIGHTS STAY ON. ABS LIGHT ON DASH STAYS SOLID. WHEN HEADLIGHTS ARE COME CAR LOSES POWER.
SOMETIME CAR DON'T ACCELERATE WON'T MOVE ONCE THE CAR WARMS UP IT WON'T MOVE SCANNER SAYS PRESSURE CONTROL SELONOID CAR HAS UNDER 100XXX HAS 97XXX MILES
LOSS OF POWER, TRANSMISSION JERKING, TRANSMISSION SLIPPING,A BIG RATTLE NOISE, ERROR MESSAGE BEING DISPLAYED. WE BELIEVE THAT IT IS THE CVT TRANSMISSION. IT WAS IN MOTION WHEN ALL OCCURRED.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WITH A CODE P0101. I HAD MAF SENSOR REPLACED WITH NISSAN PART AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON. NOW I AM GETTING A READING FOR LOW VOLTAGE FOR THE MAF SENSOR. AFTER RESEARCHING, I HAVE FOUND THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM. I NOW HAVE TO TAKE CAR IN TO HAVE ELECTRICAL WIRING AND COMPUTER CHECKED BECAUSE THERE IS SOME PROBLEM WITH THE CAR'S COMPUTER COMMUNICATING WITH MAF SENSOR.SECONDARY PROBLEM IS NOW THE TRACTION LIGHT RANDOMLY KEEPS ILLUMINATING AND CAR LOSES ACCELERATION FROM TIME TO TIME. CAR ONLY HAS 51,000 MILES ON IT.
TRANSMISSION SLIPPING, HESITATING, AND LUNGING. SOME TIMES CAUSES SUDDEN ACCELERATION OR DECELERATION, ALMOST CAUSING ACCIDENTS. CAR IS ALSO STARTING TO MAKE ABNORMAL SOUNDS FROM TIME TO TIME, WHICH STARTED WHEN THE TRANSMISSION ISSUES STARTED. SOMETIMES THE CAR HAS EVEN TRIED TO LUNGE FORWARD WHEN BRAKE IS APPLIED IN A STOPPED POSITION. THIS TRANSMISSION WAS ALREADY CHANGED ONCE BECAUSE ORIGINAL OWNER COMPLAINED OF LACK OF ACCELERATION. THE CAR ONLY HAS 50K ON IT. TAKING IT TO NISSAN SERVICE CENTER THIS WEEKEND! BUT I CAN IMAGINE WHAT I'M GOING TO HEAR.
WHEN I ACELRATE IT SHAKES A LITTLE
I HAVE A 2014 NISSAN SENTRA. MY VEHICLE START JERKING AND BARELY DRIVING WHILE ON THE ROAD. I HAD IT TOWED TO A SHOP AND THEY SAID IT WAS CVT. NISSAN HAVE A JUDGEMENT AGAINST THEM FOR A FAULTY CVT AND REQUIRED TO HONOR TO REPLACE THIS WITH CERTAIN MILES OR 7 YEARS. MY CAR MEET THE TOTAL YEAR AND NISSAN REFUSE TO PAY. MY CAR IS CURRENTLY AT NISSAN AND THEY EMAIL ME A BILL FOR 4,000. I DON'T FEEL NISSAN IS OWNING UP TO THE FACT THESE TRANSMISSION WAS BUILT FAULTY AND I CAN'T AFFORD NOR SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY FOR SUCH. PLEASE ASSIST ME WITH SOLVING THIS ISSUE. I ONLY HAVE ONE CAR AND NISSAN MUST HONOR THEIR JUDGEMENT SINCE IT'S BEEN CONFIRMED CVT FOR MY VEHICLE
CVT TRANSMISSION FAILED WITHOUT ANY SIGNS THAT A PROBLEM WAS PRESENT OR WARNING OF AN ISSUE. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND UPON DRIVING IT, IT MADE SEVERAL UNEXPLAINED NOISES. THE VEHICLES WAS STOPPED AND WOULD NOT MOVE ANYMORE. NO PRIOR ISSUES OR WARNINGS IN DRIVING IT UP TO THIS INCCIDENT. NISSAN CORPORATE.WAS CONTACTED AND THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT HELP REPLACE.THE TRANSMISSION OR GIVE ANY DISCOUNTS TOWARDS THE REPLACEMENT WHICH WAS $4,000.. ALSO MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALER WOULD NOT HELP WITH FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE OR A DISCOUNT. NISSAN SENT OUT EXTENDED WARRANTIES FOR THIS ISSUE AND KNOWS IT IT A PROBLEM. BUT WILL NOT HELP YOU IF YOU ARE PAST THEIR WARRANTY.

What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
