Power windows don’t work , have issues with my abs causing car not to kick into gear sometimes, battery replacement
Unknown Manufacturer Recall Number R21B9 NHTSA Recall Number 22V-024
Thankfully i have not been injured yet. But i brought a nissan Rogue 2016 and when driving for a while notice that sometimes i push on gas pedal and RPM goes up but car won"t move. Or sometimes it seems like transmission is slipping.my check engine light can on and will be taking to Nissan to diagnose the issue which according to what i been reading is a common issue for vehicle. i still have a loan on car and feel that its so unfair that this is a common issue for this car and under 100000. my car only has 68000ish miles and thats about the time the issue reported to have start around that mileage. The code that comes up for this issue is p00776 which is a solenoid b in or on my transmission.
When making a left turn the car lost power and the steering wheel jerked to the right (it was all split second). It regained power right after losing power. Also a few days before the steering lost power, my radio went off and came back on right after...like it rebooted itself automatically. The radio has done this a few times. I'm VERY afraid and concerned that my car will catch on fire one day.

The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who diagnosed that the rear differential needed to be repaired or replaced due to the spare tire being too small for the vehicle resulting in the rear differential failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case regarding the matter. The approximate failure mileage was 76,801.
I received notification of NHTSA recall 22V-024 in the beginning of the year. In this notification it is stated that the repair is currently being developed by Nissan to remedy your vehicle and the remedy is anticipated to be available in Spring of 2022. It is now mid-August and there is still no remedy. I asked the Nissan dealer when i brought my car in for inspection back in February and they said there was no remedy yet. Now I just called Nissan Consumer Affairs and still no remedy. Everytime I am told I will receive a letter in the mail when a remedy is available. Its been 8 months which is more than a reasonable amount of time to pass without a remedy. I have experienced some of the conditions related to this recall (drivers power window inoperative) and I am worried every time I drive my car of it catching fire. My second complaint is for a long time now my Rogue has had issues with the transmission stalling, jerking, and lagging when trying to accelerate from a stop. Come to find out I was not the only one experiencing these issues and there was a class action lawsuit for these exact issues. This past week I receive a letter from Nissan saying my warranty on the CVT has been extended to 7 years/84,000 miles. Well I just hit 88,000. I called Nissan Consumer Affairs and they inform me yea there was a delay in sending out this letter but they still wont cover any repairs since I am over the 84,000 miles. If the CVT has these known issues and there was a class action lawsu
I am writing because I received a letter stating that this would be resolve and new parts would be available by Spring or June 2022. This has not happened yet, and it is August 2022. I would like to know when new parts are going to be available for repair. I am afraid to drive my vehicle because of what might happen. My Toyota Rogue did the same thing and caught on fire. I was forced to buy another vehicle.
Electrical, power window failure, corrosion from recalled wiring parts could cause a fire in my vehicle. Problem confirmed by Nissan and car repair, Nissan does not have available parts to replace the recalled parts required to maintain safe driving.
Saturday 08/06/2022 my 2016 Nissan Rogue caught fire as I was driving down a side street in Adrian, MI. 49221. Lights came on on my dash, it appeared to be every warning light, the car jerked me over as if I lost power steering and the car took over, my son and I could smell something hot. I put the vehicle in park as flames were coming from the engine compartment, my son was able to open his door and get out, my driver side door would not open and I had to climb out the driver side window! The fire department was called and after they were able to put out the fire as I watched my car literally melting, they told me it was an electrical fire. My car was then towed to Clift Buick GMC in Adrian, Michigan.
While driving on freeway with speed of 60-65 the hood starts like bouncing up and down. I have a fear of it breaking loose from the latch and flying up toward the front windshield and blocking the drivers view to drive. I have not took it into a manufacturer due to time so I just decided to see on the app if there was a recall on this or if anyone else has the same experience

I have a 2016 Nissan Rogue and my steering wheel was making a squeaking noise when turning… then was told it was the backing plate… then the tailgate door button doesn’t work. My navigation touchscreen doesn’t work. I get a burning wire smell in the car and my leg area gets really hot, as if I have the heater on. When I go over 45 the car shakes more like vibrating feeling when I press the brakes.. when someone get in or out my key alarm goes off saying no key in car.. please help I just got this car in December

2016 Nissan Rogue had transmission faililure while driving: gear slippage, engine racing and loss of power - unable to place in gear to drive. No warning message given. Vehicle was towed to Grossman Nissan in Old Saybrook, CT. It was diagnosed by dealer as CVT transmission defect internal failure and transmission replaced with a different transmission system on 6/23/22 with a bill of $4100. This is a known Nissan defect and could have caused an accident and injury.
Our vehicle uses a CVT transmission and when driving the vehicle it will frequently get stuck in a lower gear that does not allow the vehicle to accelerate. This sometimes can get remedied by pulling over to side of the road if possible and then turning off the vehicle and turning it back on. Unfortunately, this is very dangerous because most of the times it occurs when we are in the middle of traffic or merging to another lane. The vehicle will not accelerate pass 40 mph and the rpm is very high. We have brought it up to the attention of Nissan but nothing is ever said about it. We believe this issue is very dangerous to owners of the Nissan Rogue and Nissan also has a history of issues with CVT on earlier models. We believe that the issue is being ignored by Nissan to repair or replace the CVT transmission on these models.

Vehicle has recall since January 2022 and this issue has still not been remedied by manufacturer 7 months later.
We've owned this Nissan Rogue since since we bought it around 6,000 miles. I've maintained it and driven it almost completely all highway miles as we live in a rural area. Required maintenance schedule was followed and CVT transmission service was done at a Nissan Dealer. Without warning, the car lost acceleration/power in the middle of the highway as we were driving into town to take my son to baseball practice. We were nearly in a major accident as we could not accelerate. The engine kept revving as we put the pedal to the floor but would not move faster. Bringing it to the nearest dealership less than a mile away, he inspected it and informed us that the transmission would need to be replaced. Their little dealership had already done "over 70 of these" as Nissan "had a known problem with their CVT transmission." According to him it was poorly designed and they knew it. They had remedied some of the problems in the new/rebuilt transmission that could replace it, but refused to issue a recall for the defective transmissions. Cost to repair: more than $5,000! We could have been seriously injured or killed! This is a huge safety hazard that Nissan absolutely knows about and refuses to fix.
When using the vehicle air system, I will have window malfunctions, wiper malfunctions, and battery malfunctions, while driving. My car has shut off while driving because of the recall. I need a resolution as this is incredibly dangerous.
I have a 2016 Rogue, car has 22810 miles on it The AC stopped working back in April, I have since had it into the dealer (same I bought from) They have completed a full AC recharge, which did not fix the problem, then they have replaced the mode door, which did not fix and then finally a leaking hose, which has not fixed the problem. I have incurred over $1400 thus far and still the dealer cannot fix the problem and the AC still does not work. This issue appears to be a known issue and I have found many reports of the same issues in Nissan Rogue, which happens after the warranty expire, and owners are paying extreme amounts in repair bills to not be able to fix the problem. Nissan must be aware of the problem, and know the cause, which if this information was provided to the owners and dealers and offered through a recall would be the right thing to do .

At 135,000 miles, this car should not have transmission failure. The Constant Variable Transmission is defective and should be eligible for recall.
The front seat wiring is too short so anytime the seat is pushed back it triggers the airbag light and turns off all the airbags. I called Nissan about it and they stated since I don’t have an active recall (even though there is a recall on this same issue) that they will not pay to have it fixed.

On a few occasions in 2022 (3 that im aware of) the rogue would stop accelerating. The top speed was about 15 miles an hour while the RPMs ran about 4000. Last week the problem happened again. I was 1 mile from a mechanic so I drove it slowly in. The mechanic hooked up some diagnostic equipment (about the size of an iPad )and was able to confirm that I had a transmission issue. He let me know that I needed to bring it into a Nissan dealership for the repair. He was aware of the problems with the Nissan CRT transmission and thought it may haver been recalled. The mechanic reset the error codes to I could drive it home. That was a few days ago and the car is running fine still. I took the car to Nissan of Devon to have the problem addressed but they were not able to do anything since the error codes had been reset. They did recommend I spend $150 for a software update. I had that done. The problem now is that the car is at 83,453 miles. The dealership let me know that in Leo of a recall the warranty was extended but the new expiration is now 84,000 miles. That doesn't leave many miles to go. Even though the problem with the transmission is dangerous I need to drive it in HOPES of making the situation happen again in the next week or so.
The auto window doesn’t work sometimes and it relates to the recall. I don’t want fire to happen
My drivers side window doesn’t go up and down consistently, also just spent 1500.00 for a total tune up, always do my oil changes tires brakes etc. now I’m driving down the road and my car jerked so hard it caused my forearm to beep the horn and the driver behind me just missed rear ending me. It happened two more times driving very slow to get home and again almost got rear ended. I spent 32,000.00 for this car not even six years old. I have a 2007 Nissan Versa bottom of the line that has over 200,000 miles no problems. Nissan is very aware of the problem with these CVT’s and the extended warranty isn’t helping me as I drive a lot for work all highway, I can’t even work right now! This is ridiculous! They tried to tell me that 125,000 is a lot of miles I was like are you kidding me this is a 32,000.00 car! My Versa was 16,000 and almost ten years older and still going strong. If they are ok with these cars some only lasting from 45,000 miles to 125,000 miles then the price should be reduced severely!

Several months ago, my car would seem to shift into low and rev very high without moving any faster. I took it in to the dealership, and they added transmission fluid. Since then, the frequency of this occurrence has increased to several times per week. This last time, the check engine light came on. I have an appointment on Monday to take the car in for repair to the dealership.

The cargo/ hatch lift no longer opens/lifts the hatch to make the cargo space available for use. I didn't notice any warnings or flashing lights to let me know it was failing. One day while putting groceries in the cargo space, the hatch came down across my back pining me between the hatch door and the rear vehicle frame while I was. reaching the groceries inside the cargo area. A man who was passing by helped me get free. After that the life no longer went up automatically at the push of a button. At first it made a whinning noise and unlocked but would not go up. Then it made no noise at all and has not worked since. It has not been inspected by the dealer. I am checking for recalls to see if this is a problem others are having. My vehicle is a 2016 Nissan Rogue SL It has been approximatly 3 months. I have been accessing the cargo space through the rear driver side door.
There is a safety recall on my vehicle. It could possibly catch fire.

My window on passenger side will roll down but not back up. The fuses are fine and i swapped out the switch panel, still doesn't work. From researching it seems that the master switch on drivers side window affects this. I've brought it to the Nissan dealer in Burns Harbor, IN and they first tried to tell me there wasnt a recall. I then saw on carfax that there was so I called back and then they said there was a recall but no remedy. This has been going on for 3 months that I continue to call Nissan and customer affairs etc. I have to pay to get it fixed because I have no other car and I transport my paralyzed daughter. This is ridiculous!!
We have a Recall on our vehicle since January and we are needing this to be resolved asap. On your website it says remedy unknown and we would like to know when it will be fixed. Thank you.

I tried to start my car in November 2021 and it was dead. Bought a new battery, replaced with old, since this, driver window has a delay and AC unit would turn off of recirculating to open air on its own or just wouldn’t blow cold intermittently. Then on April 28, 2022 - my battery was dead, upon my own inspection, found corrosion on the positive terminal. Knowing that my battery was new - this was alarming. Cleaned off the corrosion and car starts up - but still experiencing the driver window issue and AC is now working but extremely cold on lowest setting.

The suv jerks, loses power and the brake pedal squeaks, sometimes it smells of burning.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
