3/13/2023, The last two times I drove the 2016 Nissan, the AWD Error was on the display. I’m not sure what would cause this. I also noticed that the ABS indicator flashes for a while and then stays on when I first start the vehicle. As I look back, A few times I remember a hesitation after descending a steep street and making a sharp left turn onto an intersecting street. It felt as if there was no power even though the engine accelerated. Today the vehicle has 32,386 miles on the odometer. This vehicle sits idle most of the time in our driveway as it belongs to my son who is in the military overseas. I drive it on occasion to maintain the battery. During the winter months, when the temperature is below 30 degrees and the car has been sitting all night, the vehicle has to be run about 5 minutes or one can't go over 15 mph. The RPM's will run at a steady 2000 until the car is warmed up and then can be driven without difficulty. I cannot give a particular date on this occurance. I bought used and happens every winter. Took into Nissan dealership and they cannot find anything wrong.
The housing for the key fob does not lock in position causing the key to lose "connectivity" while driving.
Driver side blows cold air: the plastic connected to the air mix motor control will damage over time and it's very expensive to replace the air box assembly. It's not safe to drive during winter.
On September 22, 2022, my car was hit from the rear. The car hit me so hard that their front end was totalled. On Nov. 28, 2022, the car dealership ( Nash Chevrolet) was able to fix my car from the accident and after fixing my car, they called to tell me my air bag light had came on. They couldn't find the issue, didn't think it was from the accident and stated that Nissan would need to fix it. Nissan is refusing to fix the air bag unless I pay for it out of pocket.

Last week - while I was driving the power steering went midway - I had to swerve from an on coming car and it took both me and my step father to gain control . I took it to a mechanic and He noted it was the power steering motor was defective and needed to be replaced . I bought this car on or about 2019 or 2020 and it only has 34, 000 miles - should be noted after a heavey 3 day rain this problem occured . I called Nissan and because of the recall they told us to drive it to Nissan which is a distance away - only to address the recall. I noted to them that the car was in a state "Not safe to drive " - I got an email from them proof of ownership - and they wanted us to pay for tow for diagnosis ? The motor obviously is effected from this recall - or it should be listed. I made several phone calls to Nissan USA - and emails . NO avail . this is dangerous and costly repair 2400 dollar estimate repair. Thank you Joseph Kelley [email protected] Joseph Kelley or Rebecca fitzgerald

There is a bulge in the drivers side door. Every body shop I have brought it to has never seen it nor can explain how it happened
I drove my car home, turned it off, went into my house to change, went to leave approximately 30 min later and the car wouldn’t start. Brought to Nissan dealership. Who indicated that multiple u1000 codes stored due to no communication with ecm. Burning smell from ecm connector and fans on high. Required ecm. They then further stated ipdm fuses had blackened, ipdm inoper. The ecm was covered by warranty but the ipdm was not covered. Blackening seems to be indicative of burning.

The check engine light was coming on and our mechanic assessed that the "transmission is slipping". He believed it was under warranty and told us to take it to the Nissan dealer. Nissan confirmed that the transmission/cvt needed replacement; however it was no longer under warranty. In Stringer v. Nissan North America, a settlement was reached in a class action lawsuit alleging that the CVT transmissions in Rogues from 2014 - 2018 were faulty. Nissan admitted no wrongdoing, but extended the warranty for replacement to 84,000 miles. My Nissan has 87,000 miles and both the local and National Nissan organizations refused to fix the problem. The problem with my car mirrors what the complaint in the class action lawsuit entails: there are severe delays when trying to accelerate and the engine revs. Both Nissan and our mechanic confirmed the problem. Both the local and national Nissan confirmed the issue with CVT, but said that our mileage made us ineligible. The problem did not start for us until last month when my car was already over 84,000 miles. I noticed the slow acceleration and revving noise in August, but my car had been inspected in July and our longtime mechanic found no issues. The engine malfunction light did not go on until Labor Day weekend 2022 when we had travelled out of state. I travel 54 miles, many of which are on the highway, each direction to work and I am extremely concerned for my safety. A new transmission will cost over $5,000 and I am incredulous that Nis

Nissan knowingly manufactures vehicles with defective transmissions. This has been well documented as it has been the subject of several class-actions suites. Unfortunately, I was unaware of this issue until my own Transmission failed a week ago. Driving, even short distances became very dangerous, as the vehicle would suddenly fail to accelerate or shift into the proper gears.

Transmission went out
I am experiencing the same issues stated in the recent recall. My battery is draining fast, there is corrosive liquid on the left front side of my recently purchased vehicle and there is a white residue on the front outer part of the car. There is also corrosive material on the front brake and on the metal parts of the connection to the front left tire.

June of 2022 I pressed my brakes and the brakes didn’t respond and went completely to the floor. I had the brakes and rotors replaced and over the next two months it did that 3-4 more times. August of 2022 this intermittent problem became more consistent and I took it to a mechanic, two other mechanics and they could not diagnose the problem since it wasn’t doing it for them. These people suggested I take it to the Nissan dealership. The Nissan dealer also said they couldn’t find anything wrong and bleed the brakes. They indicated that air was present in the brakes. The brakes responded appropriately for one week and began to intermittently not respond and go to the floor again. I had to pump the brakes for the car to stop. I took it back to The Nissan dealer and again they found nothing wrong. Next step was replacing the master cylinder and bled the brakes again. The brakes worked for 8 days before failing again. Over $1000 in work abs the brake are still not consistently working and I feel unsafe not knowing when the car will or will not stop.

We have a 2016 Nissan Rogue that is under the Recall ID. 22V-024. We have the water damage and that caused the wiring harness to malfunction. Nissan Dealership fixed the Harness problem but not fix the cause of this happening. We are getting water seeping up from the Drivers side floor. I Shop Vac and use a fan to dry it out but the water returns. On the recall letter from Nissan it states in Bold lettering #1 " Please stop driving your vehicle immediately and call Nissan." #2 "Park your vehicles outdoors and away from other vehicles or structures."By not fixing the root cause of the problem the harness will malfunction again which could lead to a fire inside the vehicle which is quite a safety issue. Nissan is aware of this problem but is refusing to fix the problem. Nissan Dealership had this vehicle in there possession for 5 weeks in July, 20222, into August, 2022,

My wife Lois (84) was driving the car. she was alone. The air bags on the passenger side exploded and sprayed her with its contents that appear to me to be deadly and can cause death or brain injury. The explosion caused her to move the car and she was bumped by a vehicle on the drivers side. That damage was very very slight. The big cost was the air bags. I have to pay for that because Allstate would not cover it because they said it was the air bags fault that they do not cover. I think that is correct. While the 7K cost hurts it is nothing compared to what this did to my wife. She is a very intelligent person with excellent memory. She ran our household paying all bills etc. Since the incident she has lost her short term memory. Now she need consent help with almost everything and we can no longer let her drive. The contact stated that his wife has suffered tremendously mentally due to the airbag explosion. There has been no assistance from the Nissan dealership or the insurance company, and the airbag company is still looking into the issue. As a result, the contact sold the vehicle as a loss.
Fuel gauge wasnt reading that the car was filled up. Then security lights came on in the car. Once the car was turned off, the steering wheel wouldnt lock and the car refused to start. Then random lights came on on the dashboard. You could shift the vehicle out of park and move it. The entire security system was malfunctioning. Vehicle was towed to nearest Nissan dealership in Bloomington, Indiana (where the car broke down). Nissan states it is the Body Control Module (BCM) and that they would not cover it. It is available for inspection at Community Nissan in Bloomington, Indiana. I felt our lives and the lives of others on the road could have been at risk if the vehicle decided to just shut off while we were driving, causing us to lose all power and crash into other drivers on the road.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
