When cold, the vehicle will shift hard and/or delay shifting both causing the vehicle to jerk or lunge forward. This happens between 3 & 4 gear. One dealer was not able to recreate the issue and another was able to. No repairs were made as Stellantis stated because there are no service lights on they are no mechanical issues. The problem continues to get worse. This appears to be a common problem.

Manufacturer Recall Number95B NHTSA Recall Number24V-720 Recall StatusRecall Incomplete Summary In rare circumstances, a battery pack may contain cells with separator damage. Separator damage, combined with other complex interactions within the cells, may lead to a vehicle fire. Safety Risk A vehicle fire can result in increased risk of occupant injury and/or injury to persons outside the vehicle, as well as property damage. Remedy FCA US will conduct a voluntary safety recall on all affected vehicles. Remedy is a software flash followed by a HV battery replacement if needed. ******* The above is the recall the was released in, i believe, October. I have been scared to drive the car since. I cant park it at my house because i only have driveway parking right next to my house. I am scared of this car. The recall fix is now available but all dealers within 40 miles either “dont have the fix”, “dont have any availability”, or “put you on a waiting list”. So after almost 3 months this deadly issue still is not fixed and cant be fixed.

Loss of power when driving with no warning. Jeep power cut out driving with D flashing. Safety risk was a car on the road driving with traffic then no power. Pulled over to the side to get off the road as far as I could. “Service Hybrid System” message appeared with blinking D. Started back up 20 minutes later. Dealer could not replicate.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Jeep 4xe: after coming to a complete stop or just slowing down and entering a lower gear, has a 1-2 second delay in the accelerator. Has caused tires to squeal when accelerator started to respond. Have almost caused accidents when becoming unresponsive as the vehicle will move forward but lose accelerator power. This happens infrequently and spontaneously which makes it impossible to plan for/ drive defensively against, cannot replicate or force it to happen. Vehicle can be inspected upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Vehicle will move forward after stopping, such as an intersection, and suddenly does not increase for 1-2 seconds making me a hazard to traffic. This happens maybe 1-3x a week and is impossible to replicate. Have been almost rear ended many times as no brake lights appear when this happens. Have almost been t-boned by oncoming traffic because of the delay. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Vehicle has had engine repaired and inspected by dealership. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No.
The fact that Jeep has a recall that is not repairable for what appears to be months now is completely unacceptable. I bought this hybrid for a reason. To drive it around town without having to use gas. Now I can't charge my Jeep or park it in my garage? Then calling customer service is a joke. No buy back or gas reimbursement?
See attached document for complaint.
My vehicle is waiting for a fix for Recall 24V720000 / 95B – It is totally unacceptable that Jeep has no time frame for a solution for this horrific safety issue however my vehicle is having another even more dangerous issue that Jeep refuses to acknowledge and I know I am not the only one with this serious defect. My vehicle (2023 4Xe with 5000 miles) losses acceleration power… This has happened at least 10x over the past 5 months. The check engine light often flashes on and off or stays on steady during this. When engaging the gas pedal at various speeds (30-65MPH) the gas fails to respond or output any power causing the vehicle to slowdown dramatically. SIGNIFICANT risk of being crashed into. It takes flooring the gas pedal and anywhere from it 10-25 seconds for the power to kick back in / engage and accelerate. I have been trying to get this fixed since August. One Jeep dealership (had my vehicle for 36 days) replicated the issue but got ‘no code’ therefore they could not fix. Since the 24V720000 / 95B was announced 2 months ago no Jeep dealership (I have contacted over 18) will even attempt to investigate or fix this issue as they claim its related to the battery recall 24V720000 / 95B. I urge you to investigate this loss of power before something catastrophic occurs.
The battery recall from Jeep still does not have any tentative timeline and no further communications from Jeep. At this point, Jeep has not offered any compensation towards the gas costs which otherwise could have been much less with electricity. Safety is my primary concern and I have to rent vehicles for the major trips especially during the holiday months.
I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding the safety recall issued for my 2023 Jeep Wrangler Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) under Recall Number 95B/NHTSA 24V-720. The recall highlights a critical defect in the High Voltage (HV) battery, which poses a severe risk of fire due to internal cell damage caused by defective components. While I understand that FCA US LLC is working on a remedy, I have not been provided with a clear timeline for repairs, leaving me in a highly unsafe and uncertain situation. The fact that the recall advises against charging the vehicle and even recommends parking it away from structures and other vehicles emphasizes the magnitude of the fire hazard. This creates a significant inconvenience and renders the vehicle virtually unusable for its intended purpose. I no longer feel comfortable driving or even owning this vehicle, as the defect jeopardizes my safety, the safety of others, and my property. The lack of immediate resolution places me in a position where I am unable to confidently rely on this vehicle without fear of a catastrophic event. I urge the NHTSA to intervene and ensure that FCA US LLC provides a timely resolution, including exploring options for replacement or refund, as this defect makes the vehicle a danger to myself and the community. Given the serious nature of this recall, I feel that no consumer should be left waiting without an actionable solution while exposed to such a critical safety risk.
Second time we have had an issue with the battery. Unable to plug it is because of an unresolved battery recall, this time for over a month. We purchased the vehicle specifically for the battery and now we have to buy fuel.
My vehicle is currently under 95B recall from Jeep. I have spent more than 8 hours on hold, on the phone, via email, attempting a resolution as my Jeep is unable to be parked away from other vehicles or structures as I reside in a residential neighborhood, or away from structures at work, as I work at an elementary school with limited parking options. Jeep is completely aware of the situation and unwilling to provide a loaner vehicle as there are "not any available" at this time. With over 150,000 vehicles recalled, all vehicles at ANY Jeep dealer should be being offered as loaner vehicles at this time, as there is no fix for this situation in sight. My vehicle is at risk for bursting into flames at any moment. I cannot drive it using electricity which is why it was purchased. The vehicle is an ongoing threat to myself, my place of work, and my community, Jeep is aware, and they are not doing anything to resolve the issue. My Jeep only has 13,000 miles on it and is still under warranty. I have requested a buy back option as Jeep is unable to provide a safe location to store my vehicle or an alternative vehicle to drive, however have not heard back from their customer service team. I have emails, calls, and a contact log of all correspondence. The lack of customer service and solutions being offered to customers should be considered criminal as the risk of not just my 4xe, but all those under recall, are an immediate threat to the lives of others.
Recall 95B. I have been given the runaround for months on the status of this recall from the FCA recall center and Jeep. I purchased a hybrid Jeep 4xE with the main purpose of being able to run both electric and gas. However, jeep is telling me not to charge the vehicle, do not park it in the garage, and to make sure that it’s not parked near any structures because of explosion/fire hazard! This is completely unacceptable to not have a resolution for such a major concern in a timely manner.
On Friday, [XXX] I was driving my jeep to work in the early morning hours. I was about ½ mile from getting on the highway when my jeep completely shut down. Everything inside of my jeep went black and I was completely horrified. I managed to get the jeep started and was able to drive to work. When I got to work I immediately called Ourisman Jeep in Bowie Maryland and explained the problem to them. I brought the jeep in on Monday, October 7th and my Jeep has been there since then. After Ourisman having the jeep for two weeks, I was informed that my Jeep was part of a newly released recall involving electric jeeps with no projected resolution date. I no longer feel safe driving my Jeep and I have asked for a “swap” of sorts. I have requested another vehicle that is exactly the same as my current vehicle just NOT ELECTRIC. I was been advised that my request needed to be escalated but after many many conversations there is still no resolution to my request. I am absolutely disappointed with the way this situation has been handled. I cannot help but think of the deadly repercussions had I been on the highway when this incident occurred. I did not ask for this inconvenience that is totally exhausted me financially and emotionally. I am driving a rental car that I am paying for wit the understanding of reimbursement once I return the vehicle. This issue is not one that I created but rather a failing on the corporation to provide a swift and satisfying resolution. While I’m sure this

Complaint Regarding Recall 24V720000 – Jeep Wrangler 4xe (2023 Model) I am filing this complaint regarding the recall of my 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN: [XXX] - under Recall Number 24V720000, issued due to a potential fire risk. This defect represents a severe safety hazard that jeopardizes the safety of my family, property, and others. Details of the Issue: The recall was issued due to a defect in the hybrid powertrain that could result in a fire, even when the vehicle is parked and turned off. Jeep/Stellantis has advised owners to: •Refrain from charging the vehicle. •Park it away from structures and other vehicles. This advisory alone highlights the gravity of the issue, rendering the vehicle unsafe to use as intended. Steps Taken to Remedy: •I have contacted my dealership and Stellantis to schedule a repair; however, no remedy has been made available to date. •It has become clear that Stellantis is unable to provide a timely or effective solution to fix this safety-critical defect. Lemon Law Qualification: California Lemon Law, under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, provides protections for substantial defects that impair the use, value, or safety of a vehicle. The following criteria are met: 1.Substantial Safety Defect: A fire risk qualifies as a substantial defect that threatens the safety of occupants and property. 2.Reasonable Repair Attempts: Despite the recall, Stellantis has not resolved the issue, and the vehicle remains unusable for its intended purpose. 3
No incident. However, the battery has a recall that is unresolved and there is a risk of fire. I am unable to use the hybrid mode due to the battery risk.

I am being told by Stellantis that the car is unsafe to park in or near structures. I was also told not to charge it b/c that was also unsafe. There is zero timeline for repair and no updates provided. This was a very expensive vehicle that is currently parked 100 yards from my house and completely unusable.

Open 95B recall. High voltage battery safety issue, can cause fire. Advised not to charge, not to park indoors, and away from structures. There is no root cause, no parts, no firm timeline and I the manufacturer has been unresponsive. Initial contact was 10/31, and I have not yet received any follow-up from them (though I have contacted them proactively 3+ times). This is a leased vehicle with 13K miles and the dealer is not helpful, the manufacturer is not helpful, and quite frankly this level of concern is unnerving, and escalated in terms of anxiety and fear for what 'could or might happen'. To top it off not only do we have one of these vehicles, but two of them, both impacted.
This message/complaint is regarding NHTSA Recall Number 24V-720 (Manufacturer Recall Number95B). The recall was issued on 9/27/2024 and a remedy is still not available. I specifically bought this Jeep because of the hybrid option. The recall is preventing me from using hybrid mode. Due to the recall, I am also not able to park my car in my garage. My safety is put in risk due to the fact that my car could catch on fire.
On August 18, 2024 after charging the vehicle it showed a 95% charge instead of 100%. Immediately after attempting to drive the car, it began to stall and multiple warning laps/messages were on the dash board including “service charging system, check engine, red plug light, red battery light, red wrench with lightning bolts, red lightning bolt with backwards parentheses)(.” Car was not able to be driven more than a few miles per hour and a few feet before it stalled. During an attempt to drive the car and move it to a secure parking spot, the car stalled and large amounts of smoke came out of the exhaust smelling like burning. Car was towed to dealership. Car was unable to be towed onto the tow truck, tow truck driver had to just start the car 3 times and drive it up the tow truck ramp with jumper pack attached to car battery. This situation was unsafe for myself as the driver, surrounding cars/pedestrians, and for the tow truck driver who drove the car in order to tow it. When the dealership was diagnosing the vehicle problem, the replicated the problem. Initially the tech states the car is drivable and all set. When I questioned that a similar issue occurred when the vehicle was brand new and the plug needed to be changed and the whole hybrid system was disabled for 5 months while waiting for the part, the tech/manager continued to assess the car and stated the hybrid battery needs to be changed and the car cannot be driven. It took 4 weeks to receive and replace the part.

While driving on [XXX] to upstate NY in heavy traffic on [XXX], my Jeep Wrangler 4xe lost power and showed the error message "Put vehicle in Park and shift gear" while at highway speed. I had no ability to accelerate but steering was still enabled and allowed me to pull over to the side of the road to investigate. Fortunately I was being followed by another member of my family and they provided a bit of a roadblock to allow us to navigate the traffic. At the time power was lost, the console had several warning lights including the check engine light, multiple battery system lights and others. After shutting the Jeep off, it started up again normally as if nothing had happened. I called the dealer who basically said they couldn't reproduce the issue but it had happened to others and clears on its own. Additionally, up to this point, the Jeep had several times been unable to charge in the warm summer weather with error messages Check Charging System and the Check Engine Light which I was able to clear with an OBDII scanner. The safety of this vehicle is a ticking time bomb. We are instructed not to park in or near a structure, near other vehicles, or charge it. Even if I don’t not charge it how am I supposed to park at my own home? How am I supposed to park at work? You are putting several lives at risk not to mention others vehicles, houses, businesses. I do search and rescue and have my k9 with me pretty much at all times. I am told it can ignite at anytime but it’s ok to leave my dog in? Where is the safety and concern over my highly trained k9 let alone family pet. I will never feel safe with this car again. I asked if they even replaced the battery if they could tell me it wouldn’t happen with the new battery and I could park back in my garage and they said no they couldn’t say it wouldn’t happen again.
My vehicle has been under an urgent recall for over a month and there is still no remedy. I cannot use the vehicle as intended due to risk of battery fire. I cannot store the vehicle near structures due to risk of battery fire. Jeep has been unresponsive to my loss of time and money related to this recall.

Jeep Death Wobble- car shakes violently at freeway speeds (anything over 45 mph) if even small bumps or rain ruts in road. Car is stock parts (no modifications) and has not been used off-road. First occurred at less than 18K miles- repair made by Jeep Dealer, but issue returned within 10K miles. 2nd attempt at repair was blamed by dealer on tires off-balance, however issue has continued to occur. 3rd attempt was made to meet with Service manager at dealership, however he failed to show for meeting and then did not return calls.
This is a hybrid vehicle. I received a recall notice that the vehicle cannot be plugged in to charge or parked near any other vehicles or structures until the recall is repaired. I work at a mall, and I live in an apartment building, so this is not possible for me. It feels dangerous to own this car. I purchased it to save on gas, and now I can’t even do that for the foreseeable future. None of the local dealerships and nobody online has any information on when these parts will be available. 2 dealerships could not give me any information or assistance. I was told to fill out this form.
Recall 95B they cant fix
I am writing to express my serious concern regarding the unresolved safety recall 95B affecting my Jeep Wrangler. As a parent, my children’s safety is my utmost priority, and knowing that the battery—a component at risk due to this recall—is positioned directly under their seats has made me extremely uneasy. I no longer feel confident or safe driving this vehicle with them inside. Despite the recall, I have been informed there is currently no remedy available. This lack of a solution leaves me without a secure vehicle and heightens my concerns over the risks associated with continuing to drive it. Additionally, my request for a buyback has been denied, which is disheartening given the absence of an available remedy and the potential safety hazards involved. I am seeking immediate assistance and a resolution that prioritizes the safety of my family.

What happens if the forest catches on fire. This should be a NO DRIVE Recall. I am FURIOUS. Recall- 95B - Hight Voltage Battery, there is no fix for the problem at the present time. Now the vehicle can no longer be charges and must run on gasoline. The vehicle was purchased with the intention of using the battery to go to and from work on a single charge. The vehicle can no longer be charged or parked in our garage due to potential fire risk.

My vehicle was impacted by NHTSA Recall 24V-720. FCA has done nothing to fix the problem and has no forecast for the parts or repairs. Meanwhile, I cannot charge my $60K vehicle, or park it at my house. I have been trying to reach FCA for 3 days now and nobody answers their phone calls either. This is the worst customer service on a safety issue that I have ever seen. I know most Jeep owners are just continuing to drive and charge their Jeeps because otherwise, you have no vehicle.
[XXX] [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] Oct 21 2014 National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) 1200 New Jersey Avenue, SE West Building Washington, DC 20590 Subject: Urgent Safety Concern and Financial Loss Related to 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe – VIN: [XXX] ] Dear NHTSA, I am writing to formally report a significant safety concern and financial hardship I have experienced as a result of owning a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe, VIN: [XXX] ]. On [XXX], while the vehicle was charging at [XXX], it caught fire. The vehicle had no pending services or recalls at the time of the incident. To my further dismay, in October 2024, Jeep issued a global recall for this model, citing battery issues. This only confirms my suspicion that the fire in my vehicle was the result of a manufacturing defect. Given the timing of the recall, I believe my incident is directly related to this defect, and the issue raises significant safety concerns. The total cost of my vehicle was approximately $78,454, and I have only driven it for about 15,000 miles. After filing an insurance claim, I was offered $45,215, which does not adequately cover the financial loss I have incurred. This leaves me at a significant financial deficit. Additionally, I have been renting a car for the last six weeks due to this incident, which has further cost me approximately $36,000. I have contacted Jeep’s customer support and created a case (number: [XXX]), but despite my efforts, I have yet to receive any meaningful response or r
The High Voltage battery pack in my vehicle may have been built with cells that are susceptible to separator damage. Separator damage, combined with other complex interactions within the cells, may lead to a vehicle fire. A vehicle fire can result in increased risk of occupant injury and/or injury to persons outside the vehicle, as well as property damage. Vehicle risk is reduced when the battery charge level is depleted. Accordingly, owners are advised to refrain from recharging. Out of an abundance of caution, FCA US is also advising owners of these vehicles to park away from structures or other vehicles until the remedy is obtained. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. There is an open recall on the defect, however there is no remedy currently available. Due to the severity of the defect and the inability to use the vehicle as intended, including safely parking the vehicle or recharge the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, I believe the terms of my lease agreement have been breached by Chrysler and I wish to return the vehicle and terminate the lease without penalty.
