When driving down the road my jeep goes into an uncomfortable death wobble. It has already been to a dealer to fix this once but it isn’t . There is a weld defect in the driver side front and passenger door frame . When the electronics get hot from the summer heat they black out . The digital display is not calibrated to the odometer of the vehicle . The Jeep surges violently and almost caused a collision.

After the latest 68C recall fix, Jeep has adjusted the behavior of how the vehicle's electric mode operates. When the battery gets to a certain temperature when driving, the engine is supposed to turn on (to prevent the fire risk hazard). However, instead of the vehicle making the powertrain switch, the vehicle power will just stop. The pedal will go to the floor but no forward movement. It is dangerous in many driving situations, like the highway or among other vehicles when mine unexpectedly stops. Jeep has tried to fix this exact issue in 3 separate recalls, but it still occurs. They should buy back the vehicles as they seem to not be able to fix and they are not safe to drive.

I own a 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon that is included in FCA Recall 21D (NHTSA Recall 26V-363). According to FCA, high resistance electrical activity in the electric hydraulic power steering pump connection may cause overheating of combustible materials and potentially result in a vehicle fire. FCA and NHTSA have advised owners to park affected vehicles away from structures and other vehicles until a remedy is available. On or about June 2026, I contacted my local dealership, Lee Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, 3700 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson, NC 27896, to schedule the recall repair. I was informed that there are currently no repair parts available and no remedy available. I was further advised that there is nothing I can do to prevent the defect from occurring and that the dealership would not notify me when parts become available. The only recommendation provided was not to park near anything flammable. My Jeep is my primary means of transportation, and I rely on it daily for work and family obligations. I continue making payments and maintaining insurance on a vehicle that the manufacturer acknowledges may present a fire risk. I believe it is unreasonable and unsafe to expect consumers to continue operating these vehicles without an available remedy or meaningful assistance. I have enrolled in the Mopar notification system to be notified when repair parts become available. I request that NHTSA review FCA's handling of this recall and determine whether additional action is

The windshield on my 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe appears to have optical distortion that causes significant glare and visibility problems when driving in direct sunlight. The windshield is available for inspection upon request. The problem affects my ability to clearly see the roadway, traffic, and other vehicles when sunlight hits the windshield. The distortion creates a wavy or blurry appearance that can be distracting and reduces visibility, creating a potential safety hazard while driving. The condition has been reproduced and confirmed by me on multiple occasions. The vehicle was inspected by Hendrick Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Wilmington, North Carolina, but warranty coverage was denied. The windshield has not been involved in an accident and there are no warning lights, messages, or other vehicle symptoms associated with this issue. The problem appears to be related to the windshield glass itself rather than any electronic system. The issue has been present for an extended period of ownership and is most noticeable during sunny conditions when light strikes the windshield at certain angles. I am filing this complaint because the visibility distortion creates a safety concern and I believe the windshield may have a manufacturing defect.

Multiple recalls on jeep 4xe starting with the hybrid system from charging to the battery. Ultimately not fixable per Stellantis. Now electrical components in steering that present possible fire hazard at anytime. Not to mention the fact that if it can cause a fire, then the steering could fail in some unexpected way while driving, leading/contributing to an accident with serious injury or death. These combined make the car generally unreliable, potentially unsafe, and increase depreciation.

In reference to Recall 21D / NHTSA 26V363, FCA has directed Jeep Wrangler owners not to park inside or near my home due to a fire risk. My local Jeep dealership and FCA have denied to offer a loaner vehicle, and they have denied my request to cover a rental vehicle. This only leaves me with the option to abandon my primary form of transportation, or drive a known fire hazard. I do not have an open space free of other combustible materials available to park my recalled vehicle, and driving the vehicle would create heat and increase the likeliness of a fire. FCA stated I would need to obtain a "Repair Order" from the dealership before they would consider covering a rental vehicle. However, the dealership stated they are not making appointments or taking vehicles under this recall at this time since there is no repair available. I contacted Sandy Sansing CDJR in Milton, FL on 06/11/2026 at approximately 12:47pm CST to inquire about appointment availability and the possibility of a loaner vehicle. I was directed by the service department to contact FCA directly as they did not have any loaner vehicles available. I contacted FCA the first time on 06/11/2026 at approximately 2:43pm CST. I contacted FCA again on 06/11/2026 at approximately 4:13pm CST to open a Star Case. For the answers to the recommended questions, the components involved are the hydraulic steering system components and nobody's safety has been put at risk at this time. Unsure of the part or system that failed, however the auxiliary battery and power distribution system part was replaced previously and did not correct the problem. My safety was at risk when the speed and steering were affected. An independent service center worked on it and reproduced it. The car electronic system went through every warning light system while driving. "Stop/start not ready", "engine light", "airbag light", "service electronic stability control", SERV 4WD, ABS, BRAKE, "service airbag system", tire pressure monitoring, seatbelt light, "speed control messaging unavailable service required", and gas light all came on while driving. Speed was reduced and steering wheel locked up and released several times during the event.

The uconnect system/ networking with sirusxm guardian, SOS mode, wifi all fail. This affects any remote unlock or lock feature, connection with Sos button in event of emergency. This has also affected the ability of vehicle location updates if stolen, health system check complete failure, system health of 4xe battery monitoring and health failure, navigation system as well as mileage updates for the vehicle. Since November I have worked with sirusxm guardian and a Certified Jeep dealor on the issue with no resolution found nor repairs able to be made. Not only is this showing failure through inside of the vehicle, but also through Guardian, the Mopar account page as well as the Jeep app. Mine personally shows last connection over a year ago. When attempts were made to remote throufh Sos by giardian, the system failed on their end. When attempted through the vehicle, it says system failure, no network connections. I have spoke with several Jeep owners who either have or are experiencing the same issues and not only is this a huge safety concern, but could potentially be a large liability if this is not resolved due to a failure of any conjunction in the event of an emergency. I work in the safety and emergency field for 15+ years and this is a highly recommended feature but Jeep is failing to provide a resolution or issue a recall to be investigated; in which if there is a system failure in an emergency and an owner is unable to activate any service, this could potentially be

I have since messaged with others with the exact same issue during these year models that were not listed in the recall and the repairs have cost in excess of $1300. When I bought the car 4/9/2026 I was told there was a recall. I called 2 weeks later to morrow cdj in morrow,ga. They said it would be over a month before I could get a loaner for the mean time. I couldn’t do that. I wouldn’t be able to get to home or take care of my daughter. I asked to be notified when there was a loaner available. 5/14/2026. I was driving with my daughter to the store and I completely loose power in the car. I could barely pull over to the side. AAA couldn’t charge the battery. I called the local jeep dealership. They wouldn’t help tow it to the dealership. They also had no loaners for over a month. And are taking their sweet time even looking at my car. After completely losing power in on going traffic that could have been catostrophic I’m angry. I called customer care for stellantis and they told me I could get my own rental and then submit for a possible reimbursement later but they will not get me a car. I’ve had this car for 5 weeks and now god knows how long I will not have a car. I can’t afford to pay a car note for over 500$ a month and a rental car. I don’t have a second car. Jeep knows this car is unsafe are not doing anything to assure the safety of its consumers. Nor are they trying to make it right. In the right place we could have been in an ugly accident because jeep isnt trying to fix these cars. Am I only entitled to fair treatment if we were not so lucky?

On 12/17/2025, my 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (VIN [XXX] , 15,871 miles) experienced violent front-end oscillation — known as "death wobble" — while my daughter was driving on the highway at approximately 50–55 mph after encountering a road imperfection. The steering wheel and front suspension shook violently side-to-side. Vehicle control was significantly impaired and she had to slow substantially to stop the oscillation. Video of the incident is attached. The vehicle is completely stock: OEM suspension, tires, and wheels, no lift, no aftermarket modifications. I took it the same day to Safford Brown Jeep, an authorized Jeep dealer. They diagnosed the issue and replaced the front suspension steering damper. Repair cost $800 out of pocket. The dealer called it out of warranty because the 3-year basic warranty had elapsed, despite the vehicle having only 15,871 miles — well under the 36,000-mile warranty limit. A safety-critical steering defect at this mileage on a fully stock vehicle is consistent with a manufacturing or design defect, not wear or modification. This is a known, dangerous defect in Jeep solid-front-axle vehicles. NHTSA has received hundreds of complaints on prior Wrangler model years, and Stellantis (FCA) entered a 2023 class-action settlement covering 2018–2020 Wranglers and 2020 Gladiators with an 8-year/90,000-mile steering damper warranty extension. The 2022 model year was excluded despite exhibiting the same defect. I am filing this complaint to document

The vehicle is a Jeep Wrangler 4xe with approximately 43,000 miles experiencing a recurring electrical system malfunction involving the Body Control Module (BCM) and LIN communication network. The vehicle is currently at the dealership and is available for inspection upon request. The failure involves multiple electrical circuits and communication loss between modules, confirmed by dealership diagnostic codes including BCM B1642-15, B1646-15, B16D7-15, B16DF-15, and U1123-00 (lost communication with LIN ECU). This condition presents a safety risk due to intermittent stalling/shutdown while driving, electrical system instability, and failure of critical systems including exterior lighting and HVAC. These issues create unpredictable vehicle operation and reduced safety for occupants and others on the road. The problem has been reproduced and confirmed by the dealership over at least four separate service visits, for which documentation is available. Despite repeated repair attempts, the condition has not been resolved and the same faults continue to return. The vehicle has been inspected multiple times by the dealership. The manufacturer, Stellantis, has been contacted but has declined further escalation or engineering review, citing warranty expiration. Warning indicators, including the check engine light, have repeatedly appeared prior to and immediately after service visits. Additional symptoms include intermittent heater failure while driving, system-wide electrical malfunc

Q1: The steering and front suspension system malfunctioned. The vehicle experiences a severe “death wobble,” violent and uncontrolled shaking/oscillation of the steering wheel and front end after hitting bumps or uneven pavement, especially at higher speeds. The suspected affected components may include the steering linkage, track bar, steering damper/stabilizer, ball joints, tie rods, control arms, bushings, alignment/caster, or other front suspension/steering components. Q2: The defect causes violent steering wheel and front-end shaking while driving, creating a loss of stable steering control. When the wobble occurs, the vehicle becomes difficult to control and I have to slow down significantly to regain control. This creates a serious risk of a crash, especially at highway speeds, in traffic, on curves, or if another driver is nearby. The first time it happened I was on the highway near two tractor trailers who recognized the issue and slow down for me too. The condition puts me, my passengers, other motorists, pedestrians, and anyone near the roadway at risk because the vehicle can suddenly become unstable after normal road bumps or pavement irregularities. Q3: The problem has been brought to an local mechanic 3 times for repair or diagnosis, but the issue has not been resolved. The vehicle continues to experience the same severe steering/front-end wobble after those repair attempts. As of this complaint, the issue has not yet been formally diagnosed or resolved by an au

No injuries occurred to anyone but toxic gas and exploding glass were blast through the neighborhood. If anyone had been any where around the car they would have been seriously injured. The fire department initial assessment was that the EV battery exploded. The battery on my Jeep was replaced along with other recall parts previously by our local jeep dealership. The Jeep was charged approximately 20min before explosion occurred but was unplugged at the time of explosion. My insurance company has possession of the vehicle at this time conducting its investigation. Video was captured of the incident from 2 different cameras. Subject Urgent Complaint – Recall Repair Delay for 2022 Jeep Wrangler I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the handling of a recall repair for my 2022 Jeep Wrangler, specifically involving the electric battery system that powers the vehicle’s electric motor. While I understand the importance of safety recalls, the excessive delay in completing this repair has become unacceptable. My vehicle has been unavailable for an extended period, and I have not received a clear or reliable timeline for when the repair will be completed. This situation has caused significant disruption to my life. As a rideshare driver and professional traveling musician, dependable transportation is critical to my income. The delay has directly impacted my ability to work and earn a living. Furthermore, it has negatively affected my family life and overall quality of life due to limited mobility. I am requesting immediate action to address this matter, including: An expedited resolution and firm completion date for the recall repair A loaner vehicle or reimbursement for alternative transportation during the repair period, Consideration of financial compensation for lost income and inconvenience caused by this delay. I have made every effort to comply with recall procedures, and I expect the same level of responsibility and urgency from Stellantis/Chrysler. I am filing this complaint regarding serious safety and consumer protection concerns involving my 2022 Jeep Wrangler (VIN: [XXX] ), manufactured by Stellantis, as well as issues involving the towing company E&R Towing following my accident. Prior to my accident on November 8, 2025, my vehicle experienced multiple ongoing mechanical issues, including overheating, shaking while driving, and abnormal loud noises. These issues raised serious safety concerns and were not properly resolved. On November 8, 2025, I was involved in a rollover accident. Following the accident, Stellantis initiated an investigation and retained Bosch/Engineering Analysis Associates to extract Event Data Recorder (EDR) data from my vehicle. While presented as an independent inspection, this analysis was conducted by a vendor hired by Stellantis, raising concerns about the objectivity and scope of the findings. Stellantis ultimately denied responsibility, stating that the conditions of the crash did not meet the threshold for airbag deployment. However, this conclusion fails to address the ongoing mechanical and safety issues I experienced prior to the accident, including the possibility of system or sensor malfunction. Additionally, my claim for relief under Illinois Lemon Law was denied without fully considering the pattern of defects and safety concerns. I have also filed a complaint with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Complaint #XXX, regarding safety concerns with this veh

The issues lies in the Hybrid systems electric only function. When climbing grades, the vehicle experiences severe power loss which can be felt by the driver and is displayed by the vehicle on the dashboard information cluster. Power output from the hybrid system drops to or below 50% output even when pressing the accelerator to maximum. This issue occurs almost every time climbing a steep grade regardless of exterior temps. After losing speed and power on a steep grade while working the accelerator to or near maximum application the engine is activated abruptly without warning and without the proper hybrid warm up sequence and causes startling shifting by the powertrain and jerks the vehicle. I do believe the part that is failing on the 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is the “Steering Dampner” and anyone at anytime is MORE than welcome to look at and inspect touched or feel it. This is SAFETY RISK has the entire vehicle starts to shake and wobble uncontrollably and without warning. If not for quick reflexes we would have been in a chain reaction crash. Was able to release gas and coast to under 50mph making lots of people behind me unhappy. The dealer said he repaired dampner when we had 4,000 miles, now again at 16,700 miles it’s back and we almost ended upside down in a river. Either Jeep or NHTSA must need people to die before they can make truly effective repairs or just remove this model form inventory. I believe it has to be more than just a dampner and the front suspension parts should all be looked at. There was ABSOLUTELY no warnings, lights, sounds, or indication that we were almost plunged to our death. Angels had to be riding with us. Let’s get this fixed!! PLEASE 🙏🏻

We took the car in for the death shake and were informed there was a recall on the Jeep (25V741000). The dealership performed the maintenance work. The 12V battery was also inspected and listed as good. Since the repair, the 12V battery has shorted multiple times and finally ceased running yesterday. It has been two weeks since the dealership recall repair. While the recall specifically impacted the HV battery, the 12V is interconnected and the liklihood of that battery being impacted is high. The safety impact is the car temporarily not being able to gain power after stopping at red lights and the battery draining when stopped or turned off. The check engine light appears every time.

Document is identified as: * High Voltage Battery * Reference: 68C/NHTSA 25V-741 * Revision: 7 * Edition: February 2026 * Details: Additional DTC added to the end of Section B. BPCM software update After picking vehicle up from dealership, I proceeded home via a state highway Route 68 (Paris Pike). The roadway is a 4 lane divided highway and has a speed limit of 55mph. I set my vehicle to HYBRID mode and then placed it on cruise control as I had done numerous times over its 25,000 miles. During the drive there were occasional rolling hills and inclines. I gauged the hills to be about a 1% grade on average but never exceeding 2% grade. During these inclines, the gasoline engine engaged and the RPM gauge on the instrument cluster registered 3000RPM. This excessive engine RPM had NEVER occurred before the 68C factory recall procedure. In all other instances of the engine engaging, the RPM would engage at 2000RPM. I contend that the the engagement of the gasoline engine on these small inclines was NOT warranted and that the excessive RPM's of 3000 is not normal and was never experienced prior to the 68C recall fix. I have experienced what is call "death wobble" multipletimes. This is a 2022 with 30k millage. It has been to a service center three times and the drag link with ends has been replaced twice. The problem continues and only happens at highway speed. This issue has put us in what could have been a serious accident with semi-trucks on 50+ mph multiple times. I feel like this is a possible life threatening situation. I have a dash cam video of this happening and have had multiple servers centers inspect it. They have not been able to reproduce the issue, highly intermittent. To have an authorized agent look at it, I will have to pay a $229 diagnostic fee. When this death wobble occurs, there is no warning at all.

We had a recent recall completed for the hybrid battery/charging sytem where a software update was all that was required. Two weeks after a recall for the hybrid battery/charging system was completed, while traveling, we had a loss of power at 70mph in heavy traffic, and our vehicle stopped operating. We were able to limp our vehicle to the right shoulder, and was stranded on the side of I-75 south in GA, approximately 200 miles from home. The dash lights began flashing on and off, the various systems began flasing warnings and there was a burning smell of plastic. We discovered one of the electric lines attached to the fuse block in the engine compartment had melted at the terminal junction on the fuse block. This rendered us incapable of moving our vehicle. We had to call for a tow truck to have the vehicle taken to a shop. Our daughter had to come from 6 hours away to pick us up. Currently, 02/20/26, the shop that has our vehicle, is trying to get a replacement fuse block and determine if this is part of the recall that should have fixed our original recall issue.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
