Vehicle went in for repair of no power boost to brakes. Dealership replaced brake booster, no change. Dealership replaced vacuum pump, fixed issue. After 64 miles vacuum pump failed, no power brakes. Dealership replaced vacuum pump 2nd time said part was faulty from parts supplier. Problem was resolved. Around 100 miles later vacuum pump has failed for a 3rd time. Awaiting resolution.

The tread on all 4 tires wore down faster than it should have, traction in the rain and snow was terrible, tire rotations were done at home, balancing was done at my local shop in town. I had the LT285/70r17 and replaced them as soon as the recall came out. I had the tires replaced at Moffits Ford in Boone, Iowa. They disposed of them there. I would like to know how to go about reimbursement for these tires I spent so much money on.
The engine/power shut off while I was driving on the interstate (70mph). I had to use the remaining momentum to pull over to safety and get it towed to the dealer. It ended up the battery died, but I wasn’t notified in advance before this incident.
Display screen for the heat and air, radio, backup camera stopped working. Entire unit will need to be replaced per our estimate.
I experienced an extreme coolant leak caused by the coolant inlet tube fasteners backing out and becoming loose. This is consistent with MOPAR recall CSN ZD8 for 2021-2022 Jeep Wrangler. My vin does not seem to be covered by this recall but experienced the same issue. I request that the VINs be extended to include my VIN. While driving on a couple occasions the traction control light kicked in and wouldn’t allow me to turn I had to come to almost a complete stop, I thought it had gone away and a few days later I had a death wobble that occurred on a very busy hwy and had to pull into the middle lane to prevent an accident. I could not let go completely of the wheel but I also couldn’t really control the vehicle I had to stop it. I was not turning when this one happened I was going straight I had already turned and drove straight for a few minutes before it happened. I was able to drive a quarter of a mile to the auto repair shop where it is sitting. He told me himself it is very dangerous to drive it when that occurs.
Ubject: Urgent Safety Concern – Jeep 4xe Battery Recall Repair Failure Hello, A few months ago, my Jeep 4xe was brought in for the battery recall. The dealer informed me that the issue was resolved, but did not provide any clear details on what exactly was done. On [XXX], while leaving the U.S. Bank and making a left turn, my Jeep suddenly stopped in the middle of the road with a warning message: “Hybrid battery failed, cannot maintain speed.” The vehicle then crawled forward at a snail’s pace, even though the engine was still running and my foot was fully on the throttle. Fortunately, there was no speeding car coming from my left—otherwise this could have caused a serious accident, injury, or even death. Eventually, I was able to pull over to the right side, but the Jeep completely stopped again, creating a major traffic backup with constant honking. I was in a panic trying to call for roadside assistance. After about 5–10 minutes, I restarted the Jeep, pressed the brakes, and it finally began moving again. This was an extremely dangerous and life-threatening situation. If it had occurred on the highway, the outcome could have been catastrophic. I am urgently requesting that you contact the dealer immediately to investigate what went wrong with the recall repair, and why the issue was not properly resolved. Please instruct them to take immediate action to permanently fix this problem—whether that requires replacing the faulty battery or addressing any other underlying issue.
Instrument Panel Cluster Failure Vehicle and incident details: Vehicle: Jeep (model year unknown) Date of failure: Evening of April 14, 2025 Symptoms: The instrument panel cluster went completely blank during a 25-mile drive far from home. Functionality lost: The ability to see speed, gas level, headlight status, and all alert lights. Prior warnings: No warning lights or alerts appeared before the failure. Repair status: The vehicle is at an authorized Jeep dealer, which has confirmed the issue is with the instrument panel cluster. Jeep has been notified and is working to replace the parts. Key event timeline: April 14, 2025: Instrument panel fails while driving. April 15, 2025: Car is taken to an authorized Jeep dealer for inspection. Post-inspection: Dealer informs the owner of the instrument panel cluster issue.
Instrument Cluster Panel failure while driving. There was a recall for this part in many other jeeps in 2024, it’s time to throw another recall for this one as well. There are so many failures that the part is on backorder, my Jeep has been sitting at the dealership waiting for this part for 5 months now and there is still no expected date. My Jeep has been sitting on the lot waiting to be fixed for longer than I ever got to drive it after purchasing. Cant take it elsewhere because the odometer doesn’t function.
Started Jeep dash lights did not function. Restarted Jeep and while driving noticed no compass reading & clock was incorrect. Both began to show proper readings in app 2 minutes. Checked all battery connections positive & ground on main battery. Second battery not accessible.Next day started Jeep clock off by several hours again. Corrected itself in a few minutes again. This occurred again a few days later. Fearful of short or battery issue that could shut down vehicle power while in motion or cause fire. Dealer replaced both batteries app 1 year ago & serviced Jeep with multi point inspection app 5 days before issues started.
The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked and occupied at the residence, while attempting to charge the vehicle, the battery failed to charge. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V720000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); however, the recall repair failed to fix the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure occurred after the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 73,000.
On 7/13/25, my 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with approximately 50,000 miles on it spontaneously caught fire as I was driving down the highway. The fire appeared to start in the engine compartment and very quickly moved to the entire front end of the vehicle. I pulled over on the side of the road and managed to safely exit the vehicle without physical injury. In minutes, the entire vehicle was consumed in flames. The fire department arrived within 10 minutes. When I departed the scene of the incident, fire fighters were still spraying water on the vehicle. After leaving the scene, I went to the hospital for psychological injury related to the incident. The investigation into the fire is currently underway. I do not have additional information about the cause or specific location of the fire. The vehicle is currently at a tow yard and is a total loss. It is nearly unrecognizable aside from the frame and a few components in the far rear. I am in the process of documenting all upgrades and modifications. Since it was fully built for off-roading and overlanding, it is a long and challenging task to take inventory of every part. Approximately 3 months before the incident, the vehicle was towed to a local CDJR dealership for a factory recall, where the entire fuel system was replaced. There were no other issues with the vehicle.
I have a 2021 jeep wrangler and the brake hose went on the driver front side. Mopar product ID is 68307451AH. I have called numerous dealerships and Mopar themselves. They informed me this hose is on backorder for over 841 jeeps, and they are unable to get this across the US. Knowing how many jeeps are needing this hose, is it possible to get a recall on it due to the fact it is imperative to fix right away? I've been trying to find a replacement or an alternate but no luck. This is my only mode of transportation and don't want to keep driving my jeep as it continues to veer to the right due to the faulty hose I'm experiencing.
Timing chain tensioner gone bad
It started with the engine sounding louder then normal. Then a bad smell in the cab of the vehicle. Later found out it was a exhaust leak that was getting into the vehicle causing headaches and other symptoms of carbon monoxide. Also note the burn marks around the broken bracket that could cause a fire if not mechanically inclined to notice. Not check engine light for this. But when I spoke to the dealership it wasn't new to them. Apparently this has happened to alot of the ecodiesel jeep and gladiators. A common problem that should be resolved before and life threatening injuries result in loss of consciousness or fire.
From the moment I drove off the lot, I encountered problems. The battery light came on immediately, requiring a replacement within weeks. I returned to the original CarMax location for this service. However, this was only the beginning. Over time, I discovered the following: The driver seatbelt was not functioning properly The right rear passenger seatbelt buckle was completely missing The filters were filthy and had not been cleaned or replaced in well over a year, according to a trusted mechanic The engine may now require replacement at just 38,000 miles When I called CarMax to report the missing seatbelt buckle, I was incorrectly told that my vehicle was not under warranty. This was untrue — I was well within the warranty period at the time. Despite this, I was ignored, and the safety concern received no follow-up or correction. This points to either a falsified or negligent vehicle inspection at the time of sale. Your "125+ point inspection" failed to catch multiple clear safety hazards and wear issues — or worse, they were deliberately overlooked. What’s most disturbing is that I only discovered the missing seatbelt after my sister drove the vehicle with my [XXX] and [XXX] nephews in the backseat. One child had to sit in the middle because the rear right buckle was completely missing. That realization — that I unknowingly placed children at risk in a vehicle that your team labeled "safe" — is devastating. Now I’m being told that the engine may be failing — and it hasn’t
Defrost system comes on randomly for approx 45 seconds after starting the vehicle regardless of whether or not climate control is on, and regardless of outside temperature, engine temperature or other settings in vehicle. After the 45 secs, climate control returns to whichever current setting is and continues to operate normally.
1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The hybrid-electric system, including the high-voltage battery, battery pack control module (BPCM), and associated cooling systems, repeatedly malfunctioned. These failures caused loss of power while driving, electrical odors, and error messages. The vehicle is currently at the dealership for service and is available for inspection upon request. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The vehicle has lost power multiple times while in motion, including on city streets and highways. These unexpected power losses significantly increased the risk of rear-end collisions and limited my ability to safely accelerate or steer in traffic. I have had to take anxiety medication when driving the vehicle due to fear of these events recurring, and I am deeply concerned about the safety of my family, including a newborn passenger. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. The issues have been confirmed by an authorized Jeep dealership on multiple occasions. Despite several recall campaigns and attempted repairs, the same power loss and electrical system problems have recurred. Service advisors and technicians acknowledged the problems and attempted component replacements and reprogramming, but the malfunctions persist. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representative
⸻ Title: Loss of Power While Driving on Freeway – Dangerous Malfunction Similar to Recall 23V-116 Complaint Description: I am reporting a serious and dangerous malfunction with my 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon EcoDiesel. While driving on a high-speed freeway (70–80 MPH), all warning lights on the dashboard illuminated—including the check engine light—and the vehicle suddenly went into limp mode, resulting in a loss of power. This occurred in fast-moving traffic, putting me at immediate risk of a crash. This started happening again every time I got on the freeway for 10 minutes. I’ve owned this Jeep for about a year, have never taken it off-road, and have kept it properly maintained. All electrical components, fuses, and systems have been inspected, and no clear cause has been found. The problem persists and is clearly not due to driver use or negligence. This issue strongly resembles Recall Number 23V-116, which states that affected vehicles may experience a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. That recall was for 2021 Jeep Wrangler vehicles, the same model and year as mine. However, my VIN was not included, despite the fact that I’m experiencing the exact same symptoms described in the recall notice: “A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.” This issue began occurring shortly after that recall was issued, and it has happened multiple times, mostly during highway driving—making the vehicle extremely unsafe. I believe my vehicle should have been inclu
Vehicle check engine light illuminated along with multiple other lights on the dashboard. It had a difficult time accelerating on its own, very sluggish. At the next light the gas pedal was just tapped and the vehicle began to over accelerate increasing to over 30 MPH in a turning lane while crossing an intersection. Avoided a car accident and pulled into the nearest parking lot. That was the second time that type of incident occurred. The first time, the vehicle was self accelerating during 5 o’clock traffic in Los Angeles. We had to constantly press on the brakes only to avoid accidents until we could exit the freeway.
Someone knocked saying the 2021 jeep wrangler 4XE was smoking. The vehicle was filled with smoke. When the back doors were opened, the interior neer the battery was all melted. A couple minutes later the vehicle burst into flames.
While operating the 2021 Jeep Wrangler under normal driving conditions, I experienced repeated overheating issues. A high-pitched noise was consistently heard coming from under the hood during operation. Simultaneously, the engine temperature gauge would spike to high, and the infotainment system displayed an engine overheating warning. When the vehicle is started from a cold start - the high pitch is constant. To prevent damage or risk of fire, I immediately pulled the vehicle over and allowed the engine to cool. Upon restarting, the overheating issue persisted, with the temperature gauge rising and falling erratically—up to four times during a 15-minute drive. I brought the vehicle to an authorized Jeep dealership service center for inspection. The following findings were documented: Coolant System: High-temperature coolant reservoir found completely empty. Low-temperature reservoir found low on coolant. Evidence of coolant leakage at multiple coolant line fittings. Engine Block: External head gasket leak observed. Pressure test confirmed leaks in coolant lines. Internal Engine Inspection: Spark plugs were removed and coolant residue was found in the combustion chambers. Cylinder walls showed damage consistent with overheating. Slightly burned valves noted during inspection. Based on the findings above, the engine has suffered critical failure due to overheating and internal coolant leakage. The combination of external gasket leaks, coolant residue in the cylinders, damaged
Unpredictable complete loss of power steering that will continue until the brakes are applied and speed is reduced to approximately 30 mph and voltage level spikes, as high as 16.3 volts as shown on the instrument panel. It is not temperature related. When disabled it requires two hands and extreme strength to turn, especially when taking an off ramp. Voltage level is typically ranging between 12.7 - 13.7 volts during normal conditions as well as when in no power steering conditions. The first trip 3-4 months ago to the dealership and the only finding was a corroded ground loop which did not solve the issue. After no success begging for a loaner car we left the Jeep 19JUN25 while on vacation for second trip this week. I requested them to contact Stellantis STAR Center and this is the report: 24JUN25 Good morning - our STAR case engineer pointed us in the direction of a similar STAR publication that we had followed the last visit. I did not find any faults within the charging system or any voltage regulators at this point. There were 5 labeled grounds in this publication that were common for building up corrosion. The ground that is on the frame near the driver rear close to the 48v battery had a large amount of corrosion. He cleaned up each ground and applied dielectric grease yesterday, so now I am having him take on a few test drives to see if the issue persists. I have a video of the spike leading to steering reengagement but unable to upload it.
I own a 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Unlimited, which has undergone three manufacturer recalls and two separate service (one handle during a recall visit) visits due to charging failures. The recalls were related to defrost system malfunctions, sudden loss of motor power, and high-voltage battery concerns. Each of these issues was addressed solely through **dealer-installed software updates**—updates that could not be completed over the air. These recalls and service visits highlight a troubling pattern: the vehicle’s core systems—including the BPCM, IDCM, PIM, TCM, and HCP—are deeply interconnected and dependent on one another. So far, my vehicle has required a total of **10 software updates**, with some systems needing multiple revisions. Most recently, Jeep addressed a “not charging” problem by once again performing a software update—this time affecting **five of the seven systems previously updated during recalls**. Despite the problem originating from their software architecture, Jeep charged me **$200 for the update**, even though it stemmed from an issue caused by their failed over-the-air deployment strategy. These recurring failures are not isolated incidents—they represent a systemic flaw within the vehicle’s hybrid management and safety systems. Relying on repeated software patches to resolve critical defects is not only unsustainable—it’s creating **unsafe driving conditions** and placing an unfair burden on the owner.
Coolant, leaking from jeep wrangler overheated, took it to my personal mechanic, who pointed out that there is a known issue and handed me the customer notification ZD8 coolant leakage, which states that the vehicle should be taken to a dealership and that the repair would be covered. I took it to the dealership. I was told that it is not covered and now I'm being charged over $500 for something that is a known issue. I have tried calling mopar.I've tried calling other eight hundred numbers to get someone to explain this to me yet.No one seems to be able to tell me anything.Other than there are no open recalls, which I already know can someone please explain why a known issue is not covered?
Coolant leaking, engine overheating, dealer says not covered issue despite it being a known issue (see customer satisfaction notification zd8 coolant leak. But dealership is going to charge me over five hundred dollars to replace a gasket and use some lock tight on my vehicle. I understand there isnt a RECALL on my vin in particular but I also can read and the narrative in the above mentioned notification matches my vehicle. 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 2.0 turbo engine. So why am I paying out of pocket for a "known" issue?
June 5, 2025 stopped at red light turned green tried to turn left and the jeep flashed the electric red bolt symbol and check engine light came on lost all power would not go when gas pedal was pushed. a/c lost power started blowing hot air and engine turned off. Restarted engine finally got it to go enough to pull out of traffic. Turned off engine opened hood checked battery cables, fuses and all was intact. Date: [XXX] Subject: Immediate Safety Concern – 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe – Acceleration Failure Dear Jeep Customer Care, I am the owner of a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe, VIN [XXX] , with approximately 50,000 miles. I am writing to report a critical and potentially fatal safety defect that occurred multiple times on [XXX], most notably at the intersection of [XXX] and [XXX] in Oregon. On multiple occasions, when attempting to accelerate from a full stop into an intersection with cross traffic traveling at 55 mph or more, the vehicle failed to respond to throttle input. Instead of accelerating, the Jeep simply rolled slowly into the intersection despite my foot fully depressing the accelerator pedal. This placed me at immediate risk of being struck broadside by oncoming vehicles at high speed, which could have resulted in catastrophic injury or death. The check engine light was on since [XXX] and my husband drove the Jeep to Lithia Chrysler Dodge of Bend (Oregon) on June 4th, 2025, 12 pm. They ran a computer test and told my husband that there was a recall on the battery but that we could still drive the car, and it was safe but not to charge the car (we followed instructions). We couldn’t even secure a vehicle appointment until July 2nd, 2025. How do you not prioritize a potentially critical situation? This defect is entirely unacceptable and renders the vehicle unsafe for operation. I will not drive the vehicle further due to the danger involved. Given the severity of
My jeep started leaving me stranded 8 times. The jeep would not start but had warning lights of " service charging system" , with picture of a battery in left of dash, a wrench, engine light, and it won't go into neutral to have it towed. I had it in the shop twice, and they cannot figure out the cause. They did update the computer to cover the recall from automatic combustion. { updated the computer) . It got worse, the car is now cutting off while on. I had it towed to the jeep dealer aging tonight . The dashboard lights do not come onto until after engine failure. This is a hybrid, I was told by Crossroads to keep the vehicle charged but this has not corrected the problem.
Took my vehicle in on 10/16/2023 to the Morgan Hill Jeep store where I bought the vehicle indicating that vehicle was unsafe to drive due to shaky front end suspension. Was told that the tech could not verify my complaint but they replaced the steering damper under a recall. Shortly after, vehicle continued to shake over bumps and uneven pavement to the point that on 06/07/2025 on a 2 hour road trip the shakes became so violent that the car is undriveable. Dropped the vehicle off at the nearest location, Stevens Creek Chrysler Jeep. I have a video taken to show the severity of the issue. Now being told that the repair is not covered under warranty even though it was brought to their attention at 22,778 miles within the warranty period, and various multivehicle inspections were performed during the warranty period after this suggesting no issues. There are many known cases and various lawsuits and extension of warranty periods for this issue for model years previous. I believe my vehicle was built during that period.
Death Wobble/uncontrollable shaking when vehicle hits any kind of inconsistencies in the road, especially on the freeway. Yes it’s available for inspection upon request. I have taken it to the local Jeep dealership mechanics and Les Schwab auto center to have the problem inspected/fixed and both have told me “everything looks fine” but it is absolutely not fine when I have to put my hazards on and pull over to almost a complete stop to get the shaking to stop on the freeway. It’s terrifying. No lights or warnings happen before the incident occurs.
Since we have had the high pressure fuel pump recall completed/replaced, there have been ongoing problems with the cooling system that cause overheating multiple times, on the same grade of road, during subsequent trips. The vehicle alerts and says it has overheated, and is stopped and allowed to cool off. Coolant is indeed low, but there are not any visible leaks and there is no puddling or areas where it appears to be leaking. We have had this issued looked at twice, several repairs completed, hoses replaced, reservoir replaced, and we are still having this issue. This appears to be something exclusive to the diesel motor, as we have friends with the same vehicle with gasoline engine that are not having this concern.
The contact owned a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost automotive power. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was started, however, the vehicle failed to start as intended. The contact drifted the vehicle to the shoulder of the road. The contact stated the rear of the vehicle was filled with smoke. The contact exited the vehicle. The contact stated that within five minutes, the fire was coming from the hood compartment. The vehicle was towed to the local tow yard. The vehicle was condemned as a total loss. The contact referenced an unknown recall repair, which had a similar failure description, however, the contact's VIN was not associated with the unknown recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 28,000.
The gas indicator indicated that I had 35 miles left to empty, it showed an eighth of a tank still available but completely shut down on me on the freeway. The car completely shut down to the point that I was not even able to pop it in neutral to help roll it to a safer place further off the highway. Fine, the gas gauge is wrong, but not being able to put it in neutral for my own safety and the safety of others is unacceptable.
I’m terrified to drive my jeep wrangler because of fire hazard due to high voltage battery. Can I ask the dealer to buy it back?
Purchased this vehicle used from Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Mesa, Arizona. I was told the tires were newer and in great shape they looked to have a good amount of tread on them. However, I had an issue with one tire and the dealership patched it incorrectly making it a safety hazard Therefore they replaced one tire with the plug and when I went to a tire place for pressure issues and TPS sensor they pointed out the tires were over five years old which means these were the original tires that came with the Jeep in 2021. After only owning this vehicle for two months, I now have to replace all four tires Because there is a safety issue with the age and the tread. There was also issues with the steering damper, which they did repair due to wobbling, however there is a slight wobble still because I have one brand new tire from the dealer and three tires that are not new. The dealer refuses to take ownership of the sale of unsafe tires.. dealer offered three month 3000 mile max care warranty and they still won’t address the tire issue.
The video for my backup camera became intermittent, then stopped working. I brought it into the shop. They say the camera is not the problem and that it is either a connection under the dash or a radio problem. The next diagnosis step will take 3 hours and $675 just to take the dash apart. This is a safety issue, a defect in manufacture, and not related to wear and tear. In researching online, this is appears to be a complaint that a number of others have had.
2021-2024 jeeps with 3.6 penstar are being sold with camshafts that go bad at around 60-80k miles. There needs to be an immediate recall. I have mine at just under 70k and recently had to spend 3 grand to get it fixed with a new part all because the warranty is up and there’s no recall out for it. This is absolutely unacceptable.

This is a 2021 Jeep with 23,000 miles on it. We inherited the Jeep after my father in law that passed away a few months ago. My wife was coming from Hampton Virginia going through the [XXX]. She hit a bump in the tunnel at 55 miles in hour and the steering wheel stated to shake. Se managed to slow down and the shaking slowed down to were she could get out of the tunnel. The vehicle was towed home. After reading some articles about this problem "Death Wobble" I contacted the local Jeep dealer on Military Highway in Norfolk Va. The service department told my wife it would be 250.00 to look at the problem and would return the 250.00 it its under warranty. I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding ongoing and unresolved safety and reliability issues with my 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe, purchased from Heritage Jeep in Logan, Utah. Since acquiring the vehicle, I have experienced repeated and severe electrical failures, including: The vehicle failing to start on numerous occasions Complete loss of electrical systems (dash, lights, ignition) Batteries failing to hold or receive charge Multiple warning indicators that do not resolve after service attempts These failures have rendered the vehicle inoperable for over 65 days total since the date of purchase. Despite multiple service visits and numerous documented attempts to address these problems, the dealership—Heritage Jeep in Logan—has not been able to resolve the underlying issue. I have retained all service records, work orders, and correspondence to support these claims. This issue not only causes significant inconvenience, but it raises serious safety concerns, especially when the vehicle becomes unresponsive or loses power without warning. I believe this may reflect a defect in the vehicle’s electrical or hybrid system and warrants investigation to protect other consumers. I am requesting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) open a formal investigation into this vehicle and hold the manufacturer and dealership accountable for the ongoing safety risk and failure to adequately repair or replace the vehicle under warranty. I was also in regular co
I am writing to formally express my frustration and concern regarding an ongoing issue with my 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. For several years, I have experienced severe shaking in my vehicle when driving at speeds between 50-70 mph after hitting a minor bump. The vibrations are so severe that it feels like the vehicle is going to shred itself in half. The issue has gotten worse over the years. Once this occurs, it requires rapid deceleration to 40 mph for the issue to subside. Most concerning is that on [XXX], this shaking occurred twice while driving in heavy traffic on [XXX] with my [XXX] son in the back seat. The severity of the issue poses an undeniable safety risk—not just to me and my passengers, but to others on the road as well. Given Jeep’s reputation for durability and off-road capability, it is deeply disappointing that such a serious issue is not being addressed with more urgency. After the event on [XXX], I initially addressed this issue with a Jeep service center at Dellen Chrysler Jeep and Dodge in Greenfield, IN. I was informed that the problem was related to the steering damper. However, despite recognizing the issue, my vehicle has yet to receive the necessary replacement due to a nationwide shortage of the part more than 2 months later. I implore someone from Dellen, Jeep, and/or NHTSB to do the right thing and properly warn owners about this serious safety issue. As a consumer and Jeep fan, it is unacceptable to me that: 1) A vehicle fails this catastroph
Jeep is saying “service shifter” when we plug it into the diagnostic scanner it says can bus. We’ve replaced the can bus and a month later “service shifter “ light comes back on and again scanner is reading can bus. When this service shifter warning comes on the jeep loses power steering.
Poor workmanship - soft top broken after single use
Transmission refuses to shift. Or will loose power and Have to pull off or just stop on the highway to shut vehicle off and restart to fix the problem. I was on i85 and had to pull off twice and the shoulder is a dangerous area to be on that highway. Also torque converter ticks and I’ve noticed a lot of the 2.0 4 cylinders having the same issues.
My Jeep has been at the dealership since January 8th but the 95B recall and they do not know how to fix it.
Steering damper has been replaced 4 times due to random starting of violent shaking when hitting a bump on the highway. When this shake occurs the vehicle is harder to control and entire vehicle shakes. It was replaced 4 times but they had 6 chances to permanently fix this issue. Some times they chose not to do any work on the car. Being as this makes the vehicle harder to control, hitting another bump while shaking causes dangerous unpredictability when driving. The jeep dealership was able to recreate the shaking before replacing the steering damper each time. The part was inspected and prepped by the mechanic each time before being replaced in my vehicle. There are no indications such as warning lamps or messages prior to it happening it is unpredictable. I was told by the mechanic the last time it was replaced that this is an ongoing issue with 2021 Jeep Wranglers and that Jeep keeps updating the steering damper part but the have yet to be able to fix the issue with all the new updates to the part they are making. The first time it occurred was at about 17K miles and my car is now at 45K miles, so it has been replaced 5 times in the span of 28K miles
Drag link and tie rod links failed under 50,000 miles. This has caused an extremely unsafe driving scenario for both occupants and other drivers. This is a well known issue within the automobile community, condition is nicknamed death wobble. The vehicle has been taken to the dealership for the issue and diagnosed. The manufacture refused any help to remedy the issue knowingly putting my family in danger. No warnings given within the vehicle. Issue arised on the highway traveling at 70MPH shaking the vehicle off the road.
After picking up the 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe from the dealership for repairs to the rotors and struts and bearings, the Wrangler was running roughly. Before I was halfway home, I called the dealer back to explain the engine was running roughly, wasn't able to get over 40mph, and was acting as if it was going to stall or lose power.
