ABS Module. The safety lights are on for the ABS Module. We verified the fuses were all good, and replaced them with new ones, just in case. I took the car to a mechanic who used a handheld computer to reset the warning. The warning lights came back on as soon as I started the engine. My mechanic attempted to order the module, but we are getting that it is on back order. We had been told it would be at the dealership in Oct 16th, but is still not available today Oct 31st. I understand that if for any reason I have to slam on the breaks, there is a chance that my brakes will fail. I entered our VIN but received the message that our Jeep is not listed as on recall. Other 2015 Jeeps are on the list, but ours has failed?? Doesn't seem right. I'm was not looking for free to begin with, but do need to correct this issue. Neither option is to available.

2015 original owner, developed misfire cylinder #4 P0304, replaced coils, plugs, injectors, harness on that side. Misfire still present, noted others have reported issues with cylinder head (valves, cams, rockers). Engine has a slight tick, found no recalls on NHTSA site except for 2014 versions with same engine for this exact issue.

Filed Sep 10, 2024ID

The engine has a known failure causing a cylinder misfire that is resolved by replacing the cylinder heads. This is a known issue to FCA and caused an extension of the powertrain warranty for the 2010-2014 models but does not cover later engines, that are still experiencing the same issues. The covered years needs to be extended to 2018 or beyond and all out-of-pocket repair costs should be refunded to the consumer.

My Jeep has the pentastar 3.6l engine and has recently developed what is known as the “pentastar tick”. This is caused by a design flaw with the valvetrain, specifically the lifters/rocker arms that causes excessive wear which leads to the tick, which may then lead to engine failure and loss of control. This is a very common problem with the 3.6 engine and FCA should be held responsible for the safety recall. FCA has already acknowledged the problem on 2012-2014 engines, and extended the warranty, but not on the later engines. Please look out for the consumer and hold them accountable.

I was driving and all the dash board lights came on and it started warning beepings then it would not go over 35mph The ABS module was affected because it has a defective eyelet in the TIPM Module wiring connector that allows water to seep in I had a level 2 system testing done to find the defect. Jeep is aware of the problem because when I tried to order a new ABS module I was told it was not available because they are re-engineering it.

ABS, Traction Control, and Brake lights have been on for more than a year. I have taken it to Jeep Dealership here in Jacksonville, FL and they have continually tried to order the part from Jeep, but are told that the part is. not available at this time. I called Jeep directly and have been told "Part STOCK is under QUARANTINE pending quality / engineering review and inspection. Working to obtain timing on resolve to predict allocation and shipment to DLR to fulfill No firm ETA to provide at this time. Pending response from SPLR / PKG Working to improve." I have just replaced the Engine oil filter housing on my 2015 jeep wrangler unlimited rubicon for the fourth time the first three replacements were at East hills jeep on Long Island n.y the fourth repair was at Willis ave repair and diagnostic in Albertson N.Y at a cost of $859.33. Ongoing problem with thousands of other jeeps owners reporting the same issue. during the course of these breakdowns, I’ve had to have my vehicle towed to the repair place twice as the oil had drained out of the vehicle causing fatigue and overheating to the engine. I currently has 95,000 miles on my jeep witch is well taken care of and serviced at the East hills jeep dealership. My concern is future damage to my engine due to the extreme temperatures caused by the lack of oil and overheating due to this defect. How is it that the manufacturer is not held responsible for an obvious defect in a crucial engine component causing multiple replacements to thousands of similar vehicles.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The component that failed is the oil filter housing/assembly. It was changed out by the Pep Boys I do not have it on hand but upon research it appears that this is a known issue on the 3.6 and the 3.2 Chrysler Pentastar engines. Mopar made this part out of entirely plastic and it is now failing on a ton of vehicles. The replacement parts are all made out of metal/aluminum. Safety: this not only put myself at a safety risk but also puts other motorists on the road at risk. Not to mention the environmental safety that this can cause. The plastic part contains the oil filter for the engine. After time it warps and fails causing cracks and seal leaks that allows oil to drain out of the engine, onto the transmission manifold and all over the ground/road. There is no warning for this, one day you will walk out and find your vehicle bleeding all of its oil all over the pavement. This could happen to anyone at any time. I would hate to be on a motorcycle driving behind a Chrysler engine when their engine decides to fall apart and slick up the expressway with motor oil. Jeep/Chrysler knows that this is happening, they know it’s a problem because the replacement part is made of metal instead of plastic, and they refuse to do anything about this even under warranty. This is a part that is NEVER supposed to go bad on any cars, this is NOT a wear and tear part. I would like to see them held

Faulty oil cooler. 2 different mechanics reported this as a common problem with 2015 jeep wrangler. Due to the way this model was made, the oil cooler is too close to the hot engine making it faulty. I had a 2015 2 dr Jeep Wrangler Willy's edition. In march 2023, after sitting cold in the driveway for 10+ hours, it spontaneously combusted. It was very obviously an electrical fire based on the smell alone. It appeared that the most damage was in the area of the battery and fuse box. Vehicle was completely totaled and I found many reports online of similar issues, including many wranglers that were completely totaled after the fire. There is no official acknowledgement of this recurring issue. The fire caught so fast, if I had not been parked in the driveway faced away from the house, I might not have a home either. Insurance did not do an investigation into the cause of the fire.

The dealership replaced those items the camshaft exhaust, camshaft intake, arm valve, tappet valve lash, gasket cylinder and gasket intake. As stated by the dealership having to replace the lifters, rockers and cams is a known issue. Most people just trade the truck in. I would like to know if this is a known issue why has there not been a recall for this? Also because of the cams this caused the cylinder misfire in the engine.
