2024 Jeep Wrangler 4Xe complaints

Just leaving the parking garage after work, I was exiting and the my jeep wrangler just turned off. Light flashed service transmission and shift vehicle park. Once I shifted the vehicle to park and tried to start nothing happened. After about 5 mins and blocking all traffic trying to leave the parking garage my jeep started. Not sure what’s up but if this happens at freeway speed it could be dangerous.

1. This vehicle has shut itself off three separate times since Tuesday, 29 January. This happens when using the "E-save" system;i.e. mainly the gasoline engine and the engine has not yet reached full operating temperature. It has happened only while stopped at a traffic light. I will contact my dealership Monday, 5 February. The vehicle is available for inspection. 2. Being stopped at a traffic light with a stalled vehicle immediately irritates the drivers behind or worse a driver approaching from behind with a green light. I could be rear ended. 3. I'm contacting the dealership Monday, 5 February. 4.No. 5.The "Service transmission" alert annunciates. All other normal indicators are still showing the radio continues to play, the turn signals function, etc. 6.The transmission must be placed into Park and the ignition switch shut off. At that time, a normal restart can be performed and the vehicle will continue. 6. The vehicle will restart

On [XXX], my wife was driving down the highway and vehicle started to "buck" and almost stalled out. Check engine light came. She was able to make it to the dealer. Dealer ran the diagnostics and received the P0032, P0171, P2097 and P0300 codes. The dealer found the attached document with basically no repair available. We contacted Jeep customer service and were told that it needs a software update, however, they did not know when it would be available. I was not satisfied with that answer and the case was transferred to Jeep retention. In the meantime, we picked up our Jeep and was advised by the service advisor that this is a known issue and advised us to keep the Star publication in the Jeep so if/when it happens again, they will know what to do. This isn't something we can fix since resetting the fuel system requires their equipment. Jeep retention just reiterated what customer service said. I bought a new jeep wrangler 4xe 2024. I drove the wrangler first day to city , and the dashboard suddenly popped up red little turtle warning light, vehicle started lost power in the middle of the street, it was crawling no more than 5 MPH. I randomly pressed the cruise control ACC couple minute the warning light went off, and I continued to drive on the road, the wrangler dashboard popped up the red turtle warning light again after I got off the bridge, vehicle no power again ,I have to double park on the street , I turn off the engine and turned it back on the red turtle warning light still there, I heard there is a fan on top of the dashboard blew with loud noise , fast speed and then it gradually slowing down, then the warning light went off, so I could continually drove back to office, I luckily I can make it back to office. I don't think it is safe to drive this vehicle, it could be happen if driving on the highway with 55 mph, it could lost power while driving on the highway, it is serious danger.

When driving through the a parking lot on my way to work, my brand new Wrangler with just over 1000 miles stalled/stopped running and lost power steering and wouldn’t restart for about 10 mins. I got a bunch of error messages but I can’t remember them all but one was about servicing the charging station (it wasn’t plugged in) and I had a check engine light stay on after I finally got it to start. It’s currently at the dealership and the tech mentioned that he saw there was a PIM (power inverter module) code that looks to have malfunctioned. They haven’t been able to duplicate the error yet at the dealership. My safety will for sure be at risk if the dealership doesn’t fix it because my car could randomly turn off on the highway and could put me at risk of being hit or if I was crossing traffic and it stalled in the middle of a lane causing me to get or it could leave me stranded in a dangerous area. No one other than the dealership maintenance department a has inspected yet.

The vehicle starts flashing the “D” the vehicle then completely stops. All the lights in the dashboard turn on and it asks to shift to park then the shaft can’t be move. The vehicle turns on, but the shaft can’t be shifted. This has happened to us twice in the middle of a Texas highway and we unfortunately can’t even put it on park to push it out of harms way

At 316 miles I received a notification that there was 0% oil life remaining and the 4xe was also in Fuel and Oil refresh mode and electic mode not working. Vehicle was brought to service at dealership where it was bought and an oil change was performed. Another 300 miles later, the same notification occurred. Jeep is again in Fuel and Oil refresh mode and electric is not working. Dealership was notified and they have not responded this occurred a little over 1 week ago.

Hello, We got a brand new 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Sport S two days ago from Ourisman in Baltimore (I live in New York). Since we got the Jeep, it randomly stops and the car just shuts off in the middle of the road, with the D by the gear shift blinking red. There is plenty of gas and is fully charged. It has happened five times in the two days I've had it. We've called multiple Jeep dealerships, everyone is refusing to even see the car because it was purchased in Baltimore. I've been given the run around with many different phone numbers to call. I am scared to drive it to Baltimore myself, lest it shut down on the highway.

Defective throttle body at 77 miles

When coming to a stop light, vehicle stopped and shut off completely. It would stop for 3-5 minutes in order to be able to restart. This occurrence has happened no less than 6 times since purchase of vehicle (approximately 1 week old). Currently Jeep only has 426 miles. Very concerned about the safety. Luckily the automatic shut off has only happened when at a stop light. No this is not the engine shutting off and restarting after the gas is depressed. The Jeep simply will not move and you have to try and restart multiple, multiple times in order to drive it again. It will take anywhere between 3-5 minutes. Good afternoon. My name is [XXX] . On [XXX], I signed a two year lease on a new 2024 Jeep Wrangler Sahara at Herb Chambers Jeep of Danvers, MA . Two days later on [XXX], the new Wrangler I had only driven 30 miles, stalled at a red light- less than a quarter of a mile from a railroad crossing. The vehicle was undriveable, was not able to be started let alone shifted into neutral. What was seemingly just an inconvenience at the time has raised some major safety concerns as a Jeep driver. My vehicle has been at the dealership for over 3 weeks after the initial day it was towed as it was completely undriveable. The department stated that it may need a new transmission, and this issue needed to be escalated to Jeep Corporation. After communicating with the service department it is my understanding that “if the same code does not arise, the vehicle can be returned to me.” After escalated, I was given the resolution that “it simply was a coding issue and the vehicle could be picked up.” I am highly concerned that a vehicle that has not had any maintenance rendered to it in the weeks (18 business days, which constitutes a Lemon Law in the state of Massachusetts) it has been at the dealership after it was completely stalled, can be returned to me without any answers other than “this happens sometimes.” As I know, since in the shop, only codes have been run and the vehicle has been driven by the foreman mechanic to try to elicit the same code from [XXX]. The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4x4E. The contact stated that his wife noticed a fire at the charger while the vehicle was plugged in and charging. The owners were able to extinguish the fire. There were no reported injuries. The vehicle had not been charged. The fire department was called to the scene. While his wife was driving the vehicle, it overheated. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact called the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,500.

While merging onto the highway the car completely shut down thank god there was an exit and a traffic light and the car would not turn back on. This happened on 12/2/2023 it was towed to the dealership they told us it had a defective main battery and there were two blown fuses but they could not figure out why. Then on Wednesday 12/6/23 they called and said they figured it out and it was fixed. Then 3 days later on 12/9/23 the car shut down again this time it was parked it said it was running but it wasn't it was flashing that the HOOD WAS NOT LATCHED, SERVICE CHARGING SYSTEM. the dealership has had the Jeep since 12/9/23 on 12/14/23 I received a vehicle health report SERVICE BRAKING SYSTEM FAILURE, ABS FAILURE I thought maybe they were working on the car but my husband spoke to the service advisor and told him of the alert I received and he told my husband that, that was odd because the car was not being worked on. It is now 12/27 no phone calls returned and no update on the vehicle

I was driving when the car malfunctioned and gave a transmission error. It said to put the car on park and once I did, it said to have the transmission looked at. I was unable to cost to the side of the road, and my vehicle was in the middle of a busy street. The car lost power, and was unable to come back on, even though some parts were lit up. Once road service arrived, they charged the car and the car started and I was able to park it to have it towed.

On a hybrid mode, drive gear at less than 10mph to park the vehicle. No engine warning lights, and no unusual signs. The car suddenly accelerated as I hit the brakes. At the time of the acceleration, the gasoline engine immediately came on and vehicle only came to stop as I stomped on the brakes for the second time, causing property damage.

On 10/21/2023 I went to turn on my car and shift it to drive when the shifter was unable to move. The shifter was stuck in park and could not move out of any other gear. Check engine light and power steering light were on. Additionally the following message showed up on the dash - "Service Electronic Stability" Several tow truckers were called and the vehicle was unable to be put into neutral even after attempting to use the override cable in the shifter. The vehicle had to be dragged onto a flatbed and was towed to the dealership. Per the dealer it sound like the vehicle need a full transmission replacement and a computer replacement.

Car lost power - Said to press the brake and start button to start car. Was able to cost to the side of the highway on a mountain overpass. Once I was at the side of the road Service Charging System Error was on and I had no power. The vehicle would not start. After a couple of minutes, the vehicle started. The check engine light is on now.
