Axels make a clicking noise when making a sharp turn from a stop. Axel failure can lead to catastrophic accident. Dealer inspected and confirmed noise. Dealer advised that Honda is refusing to replace the axel under warranty with the current available part. the noise is evidence of parts of the axel assembly making contact when they are not supposed to which will inevitably lead to failure which makes this a serious safety issue. Honda is supposedly aware of the issue and is working on a fix. This has been a known failure issue since the car was released. Honda has had more than enough time to fix it. It's failure to so so on such a critical part is inexcusable.

The issue appears to involve the steering and/or front drivetrain system. When making any U-turn, particularly at low speeds with the steering wheel turned to full lock, a distinct clicking sound is heard from the front of the vehicle. The sound occurs consistently during tight turning maneuvers.Because U-turns are often performed in intersections or busy roadways, any unexpected mechanical failure could put me, my passengers, and nearby drivers or pedestrians at risk. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer or any other entity. No warning lamps/ messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the start of this issue.
Clicking in both right and left axle CV joint when making sharp turns at low speed. Honda tech states: No visible damage, will not fix. Safe to drive
Service Stabiltrak came up. ABS, All wheel drive, one pedal driving, acceleration it's reduced, traction control is off . Car is not safe to drive because acceleration and braking has been greatly compromised.
Clicking noises when turning. Dealership no longer fixing (fixed passenger side, driver side still unrepaired). Front end collision breaking happening at random, causing unsafe breaking in the middle of the road. Also frequently happening when releasing break at stop light, narrowly avoiding multiple rear end collisions due to breaks being slammed on by vehicle collision system. Now with high voltage battery failure message, blowing cold air out of hvac system and performing at reduced acceleration.
Cv problem clicking sound every time I turn with low speed .
According to my research the part that has failed in the CV joint for my right front wheel. This was made evident to me by an occasional clicking noise when I turn and accelerate. The part is not available for inspection. So far, it has not put myself or others at risk. The problem has not been confirmed by a dealer. Neither the vehicle nor the component has been inspected by those you listed above. There have been no warnings or other symptoms before the CV joint failed and the clicking noise began.
On multiple occasions the alert for either the forward or rear collision warning system will sound with nothing either in front of or behind the vehicle. In these cases, the car automatically braked and brought the car to a stop in the middle of my driving. The component is not available for inspection. This puts myself and others at risk by completely overriding my ability to control the vehicle until I am able to put the car back in gear and begin moving again. It completely immobilizes the car for several seconds. It is also a safety hazard because I have been forced to turn off the automatic braking for both the front and rear collision warning systems. This problem has not been confirmed by the dealer, nor have any of the parts been inspected by those listed above. There were no warnings or messages before the problem began.
This vehicle is experiencing constant malfunctions with the infotainment system. It constantly flickers, freezes, and blacks out completely during normal driving conditions. This is prohibiting use of features controlled by the unit including charge settings and rear camera use. This has been a constant issue with this car and has been checked by Honda Henderson multiple times and all attempts have failed to resolve.
Cv joints clicking when turning right or left. Dealer said it was normal. Battery not charging at superchargers after long distance travel on hwy.
I am submitting this complaint regarding a recurring safety defect in my 2024 Honda Prologue (VIN: [XXX] ), serviced at AutoNation Honda Chandler in Chandler, Arizona. Most recent service reference: Invoice #XXX. The vehicle has experienced a repeated knocking noise coming from the right front wheel area, particularly when turning right or left at low speeds with the steering wheel fully turned. The dealership diagnosed the issue as a failure of the front wheel drive half shaft (outboard passenger axle) and replaced the component. This same part has now failed three times. Despite multiple repairs and part replacements, the problem continues to return. The front axle/half shaft is a critical drivetrain component, and failure of this part can affect steering control and vehicle stability, especially during turning. Between all service visits, my vehicle has been at the dealership for nearly one month in total. Most recently, my third appointment was canceled, and I was informed that there is currently no solution available for this issue. I am extremely concerned about the safety of operating this vehicle due to the repeated failure of the same drivetrain component and the lack of a permanent repair. This ongoing situation has caused significant stress and raises serious safety concerns. I am requesting that this matter be investigated, as it appears to be a recurring defect affecting a critical vehicle component. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT
Loud Clicking sound when the steering wheel is turned to the left. The axles are making a Clicking sound.
DRIVE AXLE MAKE CLICKING SOUNDS WHEN TURNING, POSSIBLE LOCKING UP WHILE DRIVING. INSPECTED BY HONDA. STATED KNOWN PROBLEM WITH NO FIX IN PLACE BY MANUFACTURER.
My honda prologue has just hit the 4000 miles I've own this car for 6 days only driven it for 200 miles and the cv joint is going out it clicks when I turn sharp right and when I reverse.
Took posession of car at 5k miles. No issues. At around 8k started noticing a clicking noise when making turns; especially tighter turns. Finally, took it to dealership today 2/9/2026 and was told nothing they could do and it is not a safety issue according to Honda since there is no visible defect seen. The technician did confirm the noise when doing a test drive while vehicle was being inspected. Was told it is how the CV joints are meshing together when making a turn, and again is not a safety concern.
Knocking sound coming from the front driver or passenger area when making turns. Possibly the shaft assembly/CV axle may be defective.
December 2024 (3405 miles on vehicle): front axles started making clicking noises. Went to dealer and was told that axles were on backorder. March 2025 (5180 miles on vehicle): one axle was replaced. Was told other axle was on backorder. November 2025 (14331 miles on vehicle): went to dealer again to have axles looked at, since Honda had no record of axles being on backorder. Axles ordered again. January 2026 (15146 miles on vehicle): went to dealer for axles replacement. Honda told dealer that axles should not be replaced, as the issue is being investigated by Honda. Vehicle continues to make very loud clicking noises when turning, and excessive clunking when slowing down and turning. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Front axles, yes. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The vehicle drives ok but makes tons of noise and it is very concerning. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Unknown. Vehicle has been at the dealer several times for the same issue. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Clicking and clunking. Noises have remained from 3000 miles on (vehicle now has 16000 miles).
Vehicle makes a loud clicking noise and shake from front left - worse when turning. Dealer advised CV BOOT/Axle issue but will not fix.
When turning right or left during 90-degree turns or U-turns, a loud clicking noise is heard. Already had the front axle replaced during first maintenance and the problem came back within 2 months of normal driving.
CV joints left and right make very loud clicking noise, the service department at the dealer ordered the parts in December of 2025, i have been at the dealer twice and today February 6, they told me that the parts are not expected until the end of March, I do not feel safe driving the car. Also the auto emergency brake does not work properly when backing up, false positive hard brakes happen all the time.
Backup Camera Failure (Occurred at approx. 1,000 miles) Part was on backorder, the rearview camera remained inoperative for approximately 99 days (February 22 through May 31, 2025). This rendered the vehicle non-compliant with federal rearview camera safety requirements. Emergency Braking System Issues (Ongoing) Compounding this, the vehicle’s emergency braking system would activate erratically and without cause, including: •When entering or exiting my driveway •During normal lane changes •When driving near trucks or concrete barriers Because these events occurred repeatedly and unexpectedly, I was forced to disable this safety system to avoid sudden braking events, further compromising vehicle safety. Broken CV Axles (Officially diagnosed at approx. 6,000-7,000 miles) •On May 31, 2025, the vehicle was returned to the dealership for backup camera installation and to revisit the knocking noise, this time properly documented. •That same day, both the left and right CV axles were diagnosed as broken, and I was told the vehicle was not safe to drive. •I had unknowingly been driving in this unsafe condition for almost three months. •The vehicle remained in the dealership’s possession until June 5, 2025 (6 days), Recurrence of Knocking Noise and Third Service Visit (January 10, 2026 – Approx. 15,000 miles) At approximately 15,000 to 16,000 miles, the knocking noise had returned (in both directions of steering) and I brought the vehicle in to be diagnosed •The dealership acknowledge
Clicking/tapping noise heard when turning either left or right.
Cv joints knocking on hard turns
When turning a knocking sound occurs. It sounds like it is coming from the back of the vehicle. It happens when you turn right or left. Concerned that this could lead to a part breaking and causing an accident.
Every time I make a sharp turn left from a stop position and accelerate a bit I hear this loud clicking sound coming from the front end of the vehicle. From what I can see from the research I've done this is a known issue by the manufacturer and I have already schedule a day to go to the dealer to demand a repair since my car is still under warranty. It's worth noting I have only a month with the car but I bought used with almost 16K miles.
High voltage warning light, service vehicle soon light, reduced speed limit, would not charge past 25%, forward looking camera issues warning light would show up randomly Called the local Honda dealer(01/26/26), talked with service manager, He told me to bring the vehicle in immediately. The Honda dealer refused to fix it under warranty since it was in an accident.(Right fender and driver door needed repaired.) The dealer wanted $300 dollars to perform a diagnostic test on vehicle. Dealer found that the HVAC system had failed which also includes the 12 volt charging system to also fail. Dealer wanted an additional $800 for further diagnostic testing. Informed me that the full warranty was void do to it being in a previous accident and I will be responsible for all repairs for this vehicle. Contacted Honda headquarters and filed a complaint thru them. The car was towed to another dealer where they are working on it currently. No new updates as of 02/02/26
Generally loud clanking/popping sounds coming from front axels when making turns
I get a clicking sound everytime I make a right or left turn. The clicking sound has gotten worse since I bought the vehicle new in December 2024. The clicking sound is very loud when I make right or left turns.
Anytime I turn the steering wheel to the left, there is a really loud clanking noise coming from the front left tire. It gets really loud when the car is cold, and only slightly improve when the car is warmed up. I worry that there is a problem with the axle that can be a safety issue. While I am just reporting this today, it has been going on for at least 12 months.
Very loud noises coming from the front wheels, as if something is broken. I've already taken it to the dealership, but they haven't fixed anything. They just say it's normal. I'm afraid of causing a serious accident because I think it's a problem with the front suspension or steering.
At random times, usually when the battery is below 40% I will get warnings that say "reduced acceleration drive with car". I've own the car for a year (brand new) and this has happened at least half a dozen times or more.
Since ~7000 miles, there is loud clicking noise hearable as soon as the wheels are turned either to the very right or left on the car.
Turning at low speed, a low clicking sound comes from the front of the vehicle constantly.
Heard knocking noise when making a right hand turn on a steep embankment. Thought nothing of it but as time went on the noise became more frequent even with the slightest incline. Decided to take it to the dealership to get checked out. Was told there was a known issue with the cv joints and parts would be placed on order. Eight months later and still no fix, I spoke to my service consultant and was told these parts are on back order. Noise is getting worse and happening more often than not when turning. Car is at 11k miles.
When turning right from stand still, hear clicking sounds that appear to be coming from the right side.
When driving, frequent knocking sounds can be heard coming from the engine when at a stop to turn, and accelerate. The electrical system was faulty with the engine electrical system indicating problems- the heater shut off, so we had no heat during a 90-minute road trip. Tire pressure monitor indicates low tirepressure and seems unresponsive. I brought it in for service. The electrical system was fixed, but the tire pressure remained low, was noit addressed and return to me with all tires at 32psi. Maintenance person commented, " Sir, all I do is return the vehicle to you"... Please advise. Thank you 4900
Front axle clicking noise when turning left, most noticeable at low speeds and from a stop. Noise is repeatable and occurs consistently during left turns. Suspected front axle / CV joint defect. Concerned about potential powertrain failure and loss of drive while turning. Vehicle is a 2024 Honda Prologue.
I have just over 8,000 miles, and now when I turn left or right there is clicking sounds coming from the front suspension (left tire area when turning left, right tire area when turning right). I've had the vehicle (bought used) for about 1500 miles now. I don't notice anything other than the clicking sound, but I'm afraid that there might be more wrong with the suspension. I plan on going to the dealer to look at it.
I am reporting a recurring mechanical issue with my 2024 Honda Prologue. When turning the steering wheel at low speeds (specifically during parking maneuvers or U-turns), there is a loud, metallic clicking and popping noise coming from the front axle area. This symptom is consistent with a premature failure of the CV joints or the half-shafts. This issue is creating a safety concern regarding the structural integrity of the drivetrain while operating the vehicle.
Vehicle is unable to charge. Dealer inspection confirmed damage to the charging coupler/receptacle. Charging port shows burn marks and electrical damage. Dealer recommended replacement of the drive motor battery charger receptacle. Vehicle has no diagnostic trouble codes. No accidents, no misuse, no aftermarket equipment. Failure occurred during normal home charging. Honda dealer and Honda USA denied warranty coverage. This defect prevents vehicle operation and presents potential electrical and fire safety risk.
Every day when backing out of the driveway the car activates the rear emergency breaks as it “sees” my neighbors parked truck across the seat. At no point is my car anywhere near th parked truck. Also, the emergency brake activates multiple times.
The backup camera is almost useless at night. Either the backup lights are not bright enough, or the camera is not sensitive enough in low light so that you are essentially blind when reversing at night.
The CV joints began clicking when turning at low speed and were repaired under warranty by the dealer. Dealer warned this is happening with lots of Prologues and might recur. Now approaching 7000 miles and the problem is occurring again, requiring further service. It doesn't appear that the replacement/fix is actually better, so the problem just keeps happening.
The front suspension (CV joint or drive shaft) makes a clicking/popping/knocking noises when turning right and left from a standstill. The car has 15,000 miles. The noise started around 10,000 miles.
Front axel joint needs to be replaced, dealer unable to replace as was told No part exists.
It's a noise coming from the front of both tires; it's a very, very unpleasant noise that's a little frightening because it's in the suspension area of the tires, and it sounds like something could break. The noise is also very loud and quite annoying. It's uncomfortable to drive with that noise all the time; it's constant when turning left or right. I'm trying to figure out if it's a manufacturing defect or something that can be fixed. I've already taken it to the dealership twice to report this problem, and they tell me it's normal, that the car is supposed to make that noise, but I don't think it's normal. I need an answer to my problem before I can talk to my lawyer because I don't think this is normal. It's a new truck; I don't think this is normal.
Problem with the CV joints on the Honda Prologue, clicking noise when you turn the vehicle. Honda replaced the defective part first time this happened but now it's back again, and it's only one year since I leased the car.
The CV joints are clicking on both sides of the vehicle
The cv joints on both sides are clicking
Car is 12 months old and we every turn left or right excel make noise cut cut cut.... Axels are not good and this has been going on the past 3 months

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
