2025 Honda Pilot

Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Acura TLX, 2023-2025 Acura MDX, and 2023-2025 Honda Pilot vehicles. The brake pedal pivot pin was not secured properly, which can cause the pedal to shift out of position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment" and 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems."

Risk. A brake pedal that shifts out of position can prevent the driver from applying the brakes as intended, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and replace the brake pedal assembly as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 29, 2025. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are FLX and XLY.

Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2025 Honda Pilot vehicles. The third-row passenger seat belt assembly may not function, due to incorrect routing that traps the seat belt behind the passenger side panel. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

Risk. A non-functioning seat belt cannot properly restrain the seat occupant, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and repair the seat belt routing as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 24, 2025. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is ZL4.

Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Acura MDX Type-S, 2023-2025 Honda Pilot, and 2021-2025 Acura TLX Type-S vehicles. A software error in the fuel injection electronic control unit (FI-ECU) may cause an engine stall or a loss of power.

Risk. An engine stall or loss of power can increase the risk of a crash or injury.

Remedy. Dealers will reprogram the FI-ECU software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 17, 2025. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are EL1 and AL0.

Defect. Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Passport and 2023-2025 Pilot vehicles. The fuel filler neck tube and fuel filler pipe may separate, allowing fuel to leak.

Risk. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy. Dealers will inspect and repair the fuel filler neck tube and pipe as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 7, 2025. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is OKM.

The seat does not signal that a child is seated in the seat or to put on a seat belt. Shows as if no one is in the passenger right hand seat. Then when my child has the seat belt connected it signals to reconnect multiple times on the dash blinking red and green with sound. Please see picture below. My child is in the right passenger seat with the dealt belt on and shows no one is seated on the dash. When we are turning it blinks red and green.

I have a 2025 Honda Pilot. The air conditioner stopped working late evening on August 26th, 2026. I made an appointment and took it to the Honda dealership service center on August 28th 2026. I was informed of the problem and that the vehicle would be fixed by 9/1/26 or 9/2/26 the latest. I did not hear back from the service center so I repeatedly called Honda service on 9/2/26. I then received a phone call and was told that the repair parts were in back order and that I could pick up my car and drive it without air conditioner as it is not a safety issue. My car sat at Honda service for 6 days and I was never told the parts were in back order. I also spoke to service manager explained that I had recently had knee replacement surgery and still dealing with swelling which worsens in heat. I have now been without air conditioner in my 2025 Honda Pilot since late August. This is unfair and unacceptable. I have bought this to the attention of the corporate offices and yet have not been given any updates. I am still paying for a 2025 vehicle with no working air conditioner. I am concerned of other safety issue and/or the reliability of this vehicle.

Lost power on steering wheel while driving, unable to turn left/right. All of the warning lights related to braking, lane assist, hill descent, adaptive cruise control, trailer stability assist, hill start assist, low speed breaking, auto-high beam, parking sensor detector, etc.. "All wheel drive system problem. Only front wheels may be powered. See your dealer."

The moonroof of my car exploded on my panoramic sunroof. It was a hot summer day and I had the AC on. I opened the panoramic sunshade and as soon as it was fully open the moonroof glass upfront exploded. My family and I were very shaken, showered in glass and I almost swerved into a car that was passing me to the left. My wife had a minor cut on her arm that initially looked worse than it was. My younger son got glass in his mouth and said he swallowed some by mistake. The poor kid was crying for days thinking he was going to die. This was not a busy highway. There was no sign of debris hitting the car / moon roof. Pictures were taken after I cleaned up the broken glass around the rim of the moonroof so I could drive 2.5 miles to get off the highway without more glass falling on us.

On Friday August 21,2026 at approximately 10:00am I departed my house. Approximately 4 minutes later while traveling the engine lost power and began misfiring. Steering and braking capabilities were both reduced. Numerous system failure lights were flashing. The vehicle is currently at the dealership awaiting Honda repair plan.

We bought our 2025 Pilot in XXX. Within the first 500 miles, the steering wheel was locking up when trying to turn left or right. I was very concerned driving it that it could have locked up during driving and caused an accident. It was taken to Honda East in [XXX] where they agreed the steering rack was bad and replaced it. Currently it has 33,000 miles and is making a grinding/growling sound when turning. Took it back to Honda East (same location) on XXX, where they again stated that there is something wrong with the steering rack and it needs to be replaced. I am currently waiting on a new one to be delivered and they told me I would have to bring it back in for repair. I am concerned with the safety of our Pilot and think there needs to be some type of investigation of the Honda steering racks. I presented the vehicle to a Honda service shop for a squeaking noise from the front of the vehicle. The technician diagnosed a 'loose crash bar/reinforcement bar.' The technician tried to tighten the bar but noted it did not tighten enough to stop the movement, and that the bar will need to be replaced to resolve the complaint. When I spoke to the service manager, he indicated that other vehicles had presented with loose crash bars recently and it 'was on their list.' This vehicle is 37,000 miles and has not been in any accidents. It seems unreasonable and a safety concern that a crash bar has loosened after 37,000 miles and cannot be tightened. This suggests a defect in the hardware or torque specifications that could affect how the crash bar performs in an accident.

The contact owned a 2025 Honda Pilot. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked on a neighborhood street, a vehicle crashed into the front driver’s side of the vehicle. The vehicle was driving approximately 60 MPH at the time of the crash and came to a stop upon impact. The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was towed a local law enforcement parking lot. No warning lights were illuminated. A Police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed. The contact and mother were injured. The contact was seated in the driver’s seat and suffered injuries to the left arm, back, and ribs, and the contact’s mother was seated in the rear driver’s side seat and suffered injuries to the left arm and both knees. No injuries were reported outside of the vehicle. Medical Treatment was required for the injuries sustained. The air bag warning light was not illuminated. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 16,000.

The vehicle has suffered a life-threatening, complete loss of power steering while driving under identical, hazardous conditions on two separate occasions. There were no warning lights or inductors prior to either event. 1. The vehicle suffered a complete steering failure while driving over railroad tracks with a child inside the vehicle. A full replacement of the steering gearbox and power steering rack was performed under warranty (Defect Code: 03001 [Binding/Sticking], Symptom Code: 03217 [Not Operating]). This failure occurred only 20 days after receiving routine manufacturer maintenance from a Honda service department. 2. The exact same dangerous defect recurred, causing another complete loss of power steering while driving over railroad tracks with a child in the vehicle. The service department confirmed they successfully duplicated this power steering failure twice during active diagnostics.

The automatic breaking sensor put on my brakes at random times. It happens when going over a small rise in the road and also happened on a 2 Lane road when a semi truck was coming the opposite direction totally within its lane and the sensor for some reason thought maybe the vehicle was in my lane. This caused a sudden breaking and could’ve caused an accident by either me reacting to that breaking or by Vehicle following me hitting my car. This has happened multiple times and is very disconcerting. I took it to the dealer, but they could not find anything wrong with the car.

I was driving and I heard a loud bang and then sounds on the top of my roof. I pulled over and found the sunroof had exploded. There is a large portion that is gone. The glass that is left is spider cracked around where the glass is gone. There are pieces of glass that are angled upwards

My Ac went out and upon taking it to the dealership, it was determined that my clutch and coil are melted into my compressor. They ordered the part but there were over 1,000 other dealerships that put in an order for the same part so I was told it could take over two months to get this sort in. They also said this was highly abnormal and it normal wear and tear so it definitely feels like a malfunction of the equipment Honda has that should be considered a recall.

Driving down country road doing about 45 mph when all of a sudden the brakes slammed on throwing me into the seat belt. There was no vehicle or other obstacle insight. Called dealer to see if there was a safety bulletin on this problem. They said there were no safety bulletins on this. They said to check for bugs on the emblem. No bugs on Honda emblem or in front of the rear view mirror on the windshield. Just glad I was not on the interstate doing 70 mph when this happened. It definitely would have caused a wreck.

The right rear seat safety belt warning keeps going off as if the passenger does not have the seat belt fastened although they do have it fastened.

The seatbelt alarm on the passenger side middle row seat keeps beeping and flashing the seatbelt warning despite the passenger being bucked in. The dealer says the belt is covered under warrant but the buckle is not. The sensor in the buckle is supposedly the issue. Its a system... Am I supposed to tie my kid in with just the strap? The constant alarming while driving is a distraction. Failure to address is going to result in people not buckling into the seat.

1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned and is it available for inspection upon request? The Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor seized completely, causing the A/C compressor clutch to overheat and melt. Yes, the vehicle and the failed components are available for inspection upon request.2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? A completely seized A/C compressor pulley creates a severe mechanical hazard while driving. Because the compressor is driven by the engine's serpentine belt, a locked pulley can cause the belt to melt, snap, or throw off entirely while the vehicle is in motion. If the belt fails, it results in an immediate loss of power steering assist, loss of alternator charging, and engine overheating. This creates an abrupt, catastrophic loss of vehicle control on the road, putting my family and other drivers at extreme risk. Furthermore, dealership staff dangerously misinformed us that the vehicle was "safe to drive" despite this critical failure.3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center?Yes. The problem was officially diagnosed and confirmed by a local authorized Honda dealership service center (8/17/26).4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Yes, the vehicle was inspected, and the failure was documented by an authorized Honda dealership representative. 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of

On 05/01/2026 the battery failed and the car needed to be jumped and immediately driven to a dealership for battery replacement. The battery would not hold a charge. On 8/15/2026 the A/C went out and upon a diagnostic service appointment at the dealership on 8/17/2026 it was determined that the compressor suffered a catastrophic failure and melted.

During a routine trip thru the [XXX]/[XXX] section of [XXX] our 2025 Honda Pilot suddenly lost power steering capability, we could hardly control the vehicle and had to manage an exist to a side street. We received a message on the dash board of a lost of power steering assistance and to notify the dealer. We shut the car off, restarted and gained control of the vehicle less the lane departure feature. At this time we made an appointment with Fred Beans in Abington for service, we have lost confidence in the vehicles safety after this incident. My vehicle since the first week verhicle stops for no reason comes into a sudden dangerous stop the vehicle in the highway turn off and vehicle take off on its own 0 to 40 miles on its own
