No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the air bags needed to be replaced however, the dealer stated that the manufacturer ordered them to discontinue the repairs and wanted the contact to speak to them directly. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 94,195.

The fuel injectors failed for the exact same reason as other VINs that Honda issued an extended warranty for. The fuel injectors failed without warning and went into limp mode. The vehicle barely moved in rush hour in an unfamiliar city with very busy traffic. I reached out to Honda and they could not provide an explanation as to why the warranty wasn't extended for the fuel injectors like they were for other VINs. In my opinion, Honda knows there is an issue, but has decided not to do anything about it. Hopefully, NHTSA can help with this potential safety issue. The dealer replaced the fuel injectors due them failing and the injectors are available for inspection.

The vehicle is experiencing a dangerous hesitation during acceleration at low speeds, immediately followed by a sudden, violent forward lunging motion. When attempting to accelerate from a complete stop, or when rolling at low speeds (such as yielding at a roundabout, turning through an intersection, or merging into slow-moving traffic), the vehicle suffers from a distinct **lag or complete failure to accelerate** for several critical seconds. In an attempt to get the vehicle to move out of harm's way, the driver naturally applies more pressure to the gas pedal. The vehicle's transmission then randomly responds after a few seconds with a violent lunge forward, spinning the tires and causing the vehicle to surge unpredictably. This unpredictable behavior creates an immediate and severe safety risk to the occupants of my vehicle and others on the road: 1. Intersection Collisions: The sudden lag leaves the vehicle stranded in oncoming traffic during turns, while the subsequent lunge threatens to overshoot the intended lane. 2. Pedestrian Hazards: The sudden, uncontrollable lunging makes low-speed maneuvers in school zones, crosswalks, and parking lots incredibly hazardous. 3. Drivers behind behind me do not expect a vehicle to suddenly stop accelerating after it has begun to move forward. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership we're we were able to reproduce the issue and Honda would not offer a fix. I thought I was going to get my entire family killed the other day when I p

I keep getting a brake system light come on. Multiple warnings about the adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, collision mitigation, and auto high beam. I used a code reader and it came back with code U3000-49 Multipurpose Camera Unit/Millimeter Wave Radar Internal Electronic Failure. I have seen multiple reports of this online regarding honda vehicles. Honda quotes repairs anywhere between $1500-$2500 to repair this unit. This should not be an issue on a car that is only 6-7 years old, 5-6 years old at the time the issue started. Given the seriousness of this issue and the amount of reports about this same issue online, a recall of this unit needs to be issued.

The vehicle was towed to a local dealer where it remains, where it was diagnosed with a fuel pump failure. The vehicle was not repaired due to the costs. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle was previously repaired at another local dealer under NHTSA Campaign: 21V215000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, it did not prevent a failure from occurring. Upon further investigation, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign:23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. Root problem seems to be the forward looking camera and/or radar, though there are 8-10 codes in total. This one looks like the primary problem: U3000-49 — Multipurpose Camera Unit / Millimeter Wave Radar Internal Electronic Failure As a result, we no longer have safety features such as emergency braking, collision warning, lane departure warning, or lane keeping assistance. Additionally, cruise control is no longer available. The vehicle is still drivable, but without any of the safety features reliant upon the camera and radar. There one one trip in the last few days where everything functioned normally, but on every other trip these warnings have shown up as soon as the vehicle is started. The warnings for all of those systems are displayed in the gage cluster, as well as a “brake system” light being visible. Sometimes, when the vehicle is started, additional warnings are displayed for blind spot indicator and the transmission. There were no symptoms leading up to this. Everything worked and looked normal one morning, then suddenly appeared when the vehicle was started later that evening. We have not yet had the vehicle inspected by anyone as it’s currently a holiday weekend.

Either the ADAS camera or the radar sensor in the van is not functioning properly. The odyssey has know issues like the camera overheating and dies or the radar can be mis aligned by going through a car wash. We do not know which is not working in our van but we are now locked out of basic features on the van. The biggest problem is that cruise control no longer functions. I had previously turned adaptive cruise control (ACC) off and reverted the van to normal cruise control (CC). With the new issue, I al locked out of using CC even though it does not rely on the ADAS camera or the radar sensor.

When picking my child up from school, upon departure, the front end of the vehicle began violently shaking and sounding as if it wanted to shut down, simultaneously, a number of system failure warnings displayed on the dash. I was able to get the vehicle into a parking spot and turn it off. It would not restart. I called a tow truck and had it towed to a local garage as it was not safe to drive even if it did start. Upon the local mechanic pulling codes, they pulled the code P0087 indicating a failure of the fuel system, gasoline: delivery: Fuel pump. This incident put myself, my 3 children in the vehicle as well as other pedestrian children and adult pedestrians at great risk, because if I had lost control and not been able to park safely, the outcome may have been extremely different. The problem has been confirmed by local mechanic and is scheduled with the dealer in 5 days. There were no prior warnings or indications of the failure. Honda issued a recall in 2021 then closed it. It was later expanded by NHTSA in 2024. Then again closed. We never received notification of the recall either time. recall numbers follow: 21V-21520V-314 expanded recall: 23V-858/Honda TSB 24-022 Both, Im told are closed, which is unfathomable to me given the significant and known dangers attributed to this issue.

The vehicle is showing persistent electrical and communication fault codes involving the ECM, ABS, and EPS systems, including P16E2, P16E5, P16E7, P16E8, U0401, and U0416. These codes return immediately, which suggests an active fault rather than a temporary low-voltage condition. The issue appears to involve the battery sensor and/or the related communication network between control modules. Because the faults involve ABS and EPS communication, the concern is that braking-related or steering-assist systems may not be receiving correct data. This creates a potential safety risk because the vehicle may experience intermittent or unreliable control-module communication, which could affect steering assist, braking-related warnings, or overall drivability. The warning lights and diagnostic codes first appeared before the vehicle was put back into normal use and have continued to remain present. The problem has been reproducible because the codes reappear right away after being cleared. No dealer or manufacturer diagnosis has been confirmed yet, so the exact root cause remains unresolved.

Had the airbags deployed directly on them they would have gotten hurt. My family was absolutely terrified and took a long time to calm down. Visibility on the passenger side of the car was completely blocked and it was challenging to drive safely to a safe place where I can pull over. This is the exact failure described in Honda recall campaign UNW, which acknowledges incorrect SRS ECU deployment parameters causing inadvertent curtain airbag deployment from road impacts. I called the Honda recall center and they verbally committed to repairing it completely and told me to bring it to a dealership. I brought the car to Honda Universe at 1085 Ocean Ave, Lakewood NJ, an authorized Honda dealer that said they would not perform the repair unless Honda corporate sends written authorization to pay for it. Primarily all of the damages were on the front driver side, the air bags on both the steering wheel and under the steering wheel deployed but the side curtain airbag didn't not, and honda link also wasn't able to connect to emergency services once a crash was detected. The side curtain air bag not deploying has been pointed out and brought to my attention by almost every single person who has seen my vehicle since the accident. During the accident I swerved to avoid an animal that was running across the road and I over corrected and loss control and in a complete panic it has been assumed by everyone including myself that I accidently pressed the accelerator pedal instead of the brake.

There were no warming lamps, messages, or lights that would have alerted me that something this serious would occur. We have taken our care to Honda for years for regular maintenance. We don't take it to any independent shops. Strictly to Honda for years. The most recent checkup/service was performed on February 11, 2026 where they performed the following services which they had recommended. 1) Oil Change 2)Engine coolant flush with conditioner 3)Transmission fluid change: 4) wheel alignment 5)Fuel tank additive, throttle body service, and injector. I own a 2019 Honda Odyssey Elite with 39,000 miles on it. In January 2026, suddenly I had multiple warning lights on in my minivan related to an ADAS system failure. I replaced the car battery and later determined that the ADAS camera had failed in the car. In reading online, this is a very common issue with Hondas as the cameras are known to overheat and require replacement. Warning lights: Brake System Malfunction, Adaptive Cruise Control Problem, Collision Mitigation System Problem, Lane Keeping Assist Problem, Road Departure Mitigation System Problem, Auto High Beam Problem Before I was able to get it repaired, the van turned off suddenly in traffic twice while my wife was driving the car while also one of my children was inside, creating an unsafe condition that could have created an accident. Luckily my wife was able to get the car safely moved out of traffic and we stopped driving the car at that point. I wound up replacing the camera and and needing to get it recalibrated so that the car could be drivable. This resulted in the van not being operable for nearly a month. For a car that had 39,000 miles on it, this really should be something under a longer warranty as it could have created an unsafe driving condition for my family. Total cost to repair = $1634.22.

Several complaints can be seen across many different Honda forums that indicate several years including 2018 - 2023 of the Honda Odyssey are affected by similar issues when the front multi-purpose camera fails. Many have reported extreme heat when physically inspecting the camera unit. The ZYNQ XA72030 chip manufacturer, AMD, has listed known issues with this particular chip overheating either due to inadequate cooling (this is a passively cooled chip), poor PCB layout, unstable or undersized power supply, all which can result in thermal shutdown. At startup my vehicle dash immediately lit up with several Warning indicating the disablement of multiple systems: LKAS, EBA, ACC, Collision Mitigation, Lane Departure, Automatic High-Beam. In my case, physical inspection revealed the camera outer shell to be extremely hot to the touch necessitating a rag to reduce risk of burn while handling. It's interesting to see that Honda has issues a recall for the back camera which is not tied to many or any other systems at all due to a faulty cable, yet the front facing camera which directly affects Lane Keep Assist, Emergency Brake Assist, Collision Mitigation, Lane Departure Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Automatic High-Beam, has not received a recall despite the many complaints brought forth. It is clearly a defective component that affects many other systems which can lead to potential crashes under the right circumstances. I would urge Honda to issue a recall for all Odysseys ex

I am aware of Case No.XXX (XXX v. American Honda Motor Co.) and Case No. XXX (XXX v. [Incident Description & Manufacturer's Bad Faith] On April 6, 2026, an authorized Honda dealership (McConnell Honda in Montgomery, AL) diagnosed my vehicle (2019 Honda Odyssey EX-L, 143,097 miles) with DTC P219A (Rec replacing fuel injector set and fuel feed pipe at this time), requiring a fuel injector replacement. This exact mechanical failure is documented in Honda’s official Service Bulletin 21-010. The bulletin acknowledges that defective fuel injectors can cause engine misfires, loss of motive power, and engine stalling while driving. These conditions present an immediate and severe safety hazard. Honda established a 150,000-mile warranty extension limit for this defect in TSB 21-010. My vehicle has 143,097 miles and is well within this limit. However, American Honda Corporation has arbitrarily refused to repair the vehicle. Furthermore, on April 21, 2026, the assigned Honda Case Manager left a voicemail officially denying the repair. He explicitly refused my repeated requests to provide this denial in writing. In the voicemail, he falsely stated that my vehicle at 143,000 miles is "well outside the range" for assistance, directly contradicting Honda's own written 150,000-mile bulletin. Please review the attached documents, including the official dealership diagnostic report (DTC P219A), the repair estimate, and a copy of TSB 21-010. Issue: Intermittent infotainment failure – MOST network connection lost I am reporting a recurring electrical failure involving the infotainment system in my 2019 Honda Odyssey. The system intermittently loses all audio and displays a “MOST network connection lost” message. At times, the screen also goes black and reboots. This issue has occurred repeatedly over time, especially after extended driving (e.g., long trips). The audio will stop working completely, and the system may or may not recover after restarting the vehicle. Multiple repair attempts have been made, including replacement rear entertainment system. Despite these repairs, the issue continues to occur. Based on the error message and symptoms, this appears to be a failure within the MOST communication network, potentially involving the amplifier or related components. This creates a significant distraction while driving, as the system becomes nonfunctional and unpredictable. I am unable to access hands free phone capability and navigation features. I am also unable to access the heating and cooling features in the car when the screen is black. This has been happening since about one week after I purchased the vehicle in 2021. I am concerned that this may represent a broader defect affecting multiple vehicles.

On April 13, 2026, I brought my 2019 Honda Odyssey to a Honda dealership in Chicago, IL for a dealer-initiated recall service. The dealer contacted me and asked me to come in. Before the recall service, the vehicle had zero warning lights, zero error codes, and was operating completely normally. Immediately after the recall service was completed, the following warning lights appeared on the dashboard: Brake System warning, Hill Start Assist Problem, VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist) warning, and additional stability/steering system warnings. None of these warnings existed before the service. I returned to the dealership the same day. The service team cleared all error codes. However, within minutes of driving off the lot, all warning lights reappeared. This confirms the issue is persistent and not a one-time post-update self-check. I returned a second time. The service manager stated the warnings were not caused by the recall service and refused to investigate further. The dealer quoted $800 for diagnostic work. I also contacted American Honda by phone and was told they could not intervene. With the Brake System and VSA warnings active, the anti-lock braking system and vehicle stability control may not be functioning properly. Since January 15, 2026, our Honda Odyssey has experienced a persistent and unresolved infotainment system failure affecting critical functions, including the rear-view camera. The issue has been reported across three separate service visits (January 15, March 6, and March 26, 2026), during which attempted repairs—including wiring adjustments, battery replacement, and amplifier replacement—failed to resolve the malfunction. Despite escalating to a regional Honda engineer and multiple dealership interventions, the system remains inoperable, and the defect continues to immediately reoccur after each repair attempt. As of April 12, 2026, the vehicle’s infotainment system and rear-view camera are completely non-functional. The issue has persisted for 87 days, resulting in loss of use of key vehicle functions and raising significant safety concerns due to the inoperability of the federally mandated rearview camera (FMVSS 111). The repeated unsuccessful repair attempts and extended delay have led to the conclusion that the vehicle is currently unsafe to operate and has not been restored to a usable condition within a reasonable timeframe.

My infotainment system has gone completely black, resulting in the loss of several critical functions, including the rearview camera, AC vent direction controls, navigation, and radio. This has made reversing significantly more hazardous, and the lack of proper AC control is especially inconvenient during the summer. The Honda dealer performed a recall-related diagnostic, but it did not resolve the issue. After further inspection, they concluded that the infotainment unit has completely failed. However, they were unable to identify the root cause and recommended a full replacement at a cost of $2,850. I contacted Honda America to request assistance or a goodwill discount, but my request was declined. Due to the high cost, I have not proceeded with the repair. Although my vehicle is not currently on the recall list and has approximately 70,000 miles, there is a known history of infotainment system issues in Honda vehicles. My 2019 Honda Odessey has had transmission issues since the very beginning. I've experienced jerking/shaking, hesitation before accelerating, delayed shifting, sudden loss of power. Fortunately none of this has resulted in any accident or injury. Unfortunately, yesterday (4/4/2026) I got charged $271.34 to have to transmission warning light read only to be told, "we cleared all dtc then test drove the vehicle. No dtc found after we drove the car...if the consumer complain again he will have to replace the transmission." Of course the warning light appeared again today. The dealership seems to be completely unaware of the multitude of transmission issues documented even though this appears to be a known and well documented defect based on the class action lawsuit Browning, et al. v. American Honda Motor Co., Inc., et al. They charge me for the analysis and send me on my way as if they have no idea what is going on with my vehicle. I am the sole owner and have kept the vehicle well maintained at Leith Honda, 3940 Capital Hills Drive, Raleigh, NC 27616 and I have had all manufacturers recalls handled in a timely manner. I'm sure they can provide service records if needed. The bottom line is they are not being fully transparent and I am paying for their lack of transparency and more importantly putting me and my family at risk by not disclosing the potential risk due to the faulty transmission in these vehicles.

On Interstate 65 4/4/2026 during light traffic, after a rain storm, however with no rain currently occuring, our vehicle experienced an event where the collision avoidance system dropped out speed from 70 miles an hour to 35, nearly causing a rear end clission with a vehicle behind us. The dashboard made no indication of any occurance, and the breaking seemed to occur with no indicator of there being anyting in front of us at the time of the incident. This has occured before however after rainstorms, and while attempting to make left hand turns. This however was the first incident in which it clearly caused a near miss collision event.

Both power sliding doors are malfunctioning, with the left side being critical. The dashboard intermittently flashes "Door Open" and "Left Sliding Door Problem" warnings during travel, regardless of speed or road conditions (highway, low-speed, and cornering). A certified Honda technician (Case #16203079) confirmed DTC B2037 is stored for the left sliding door ratchet switch. The diagnostic report explicitly states the rear latch is failed/stuck in the open position, resulting in a half-latched state that "CAN OPEN WHILE DRIVING." The right door also shows intermittent issues with the ratchet switch and pinch sensor. Despite this documented, life-threatening safety defect, American Honda has refused repair assistance. I have video evidence of the warnings flashing while in motion.

I was merging onto I-85 with my sister was in the front passenger seat, and my son was behind me on the driver's side. I heard a very loud bang/pop and looked to my right and immediately saw the curtain airbag deploying on the passenger side. I did not feel anything to indicate I hit something, no noise, no beeping from my vehicle safety features, no shake of the steering wheel to indicate I veered off the road. Nothing of that nature. I was able to get to the shoulder of the highway safely, despite not being able to see out of the passenger side of the vehicle due to the deployed airbags. It was confusing and disorienting because I knew we were not involved in a crash, but the airbags still deployed. I called 911 and started assessing any injuries for my son or my sister. The police arrived a short time later and opened the front passenger door and immediately cut the airbag to assess the situation. The police officer said there was no visible damage to the van and no other vehicle nearby to indicate a collision. I asked if the tire blew and he said no, he couldn't see any damage. This was an incredibly dangerous situation that could have ended with serious injury or worse. We were traveling on an interstate and the airbag deployment could have injured me and prevented me from getting off the road. In addition, the airbag deployed right where my younger son's car seat is. He would have suffered serious injury had he been in the vehicle when this happened. The shop doing the

I am reporting a safety issue involving my 2019 Honda Odyssey transmission. Since early ownership, the vehicle has had ongoing hesitation and delayed response when accelerating, especially during gear shifts. Over time, this condition has worsened and now includes intermittent loss of power when pressing the accelerator, followed by sudden jerking or lurching forward. The most serious incident occurred recently when the vehicle unexpectedly shifted into park while moving in a parking lot, creating a dangerous and unsafe condition. Additionally, there have been multiple instances where the vehicle hesitated in intersections, creating a risk of collision due to lack of response when attempting to accelerate. Honda dealership technicians have acknowledged that these vehicles are known to have rough or problematic shifting, indicating this may be a broader issue. The final issue has resulted in the vehicle being towed to the dealership for a full evaluation.

All Honda Sensing / ADAS safety warnings appear at the same time while driving or shortly after starting the vehicle. When this happens, all driver assistance systems are disabled, including: •Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) •Lane Keeping Assist (LKAS) •Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) •Road Departure Mitigation •Automatic High Beam When the failure occurs, the vehicle displays multiple safety system warnings and the entire driver assistance system shuts down, leaving the vehicle without any ADAS safety features.

NHTSA publishes every complaint as the owner wrote it and investigates only a fraction. Spelling, capitalisation and judgement are the filer’s own. What carries weight is repetition: the same component failing the same way across many filings, and whether the manufacturer eventually opened a recall for it.
