Shortly after entering the freeway on August 18, 2023, my vehicle experienced a powertrain malfunction and displayed a Service Vehicle Soon warning light along with a vehicle with an exclamation point light and a wrench light. Motive power was reduced. I received a Diagnostic Test Code of P0ADA, indicating that there was a hybrid powertrain fault. The dealer has confirmed the code and is ordering a replacement part.

Began to receive error messages stating "Front Camera Fault" and "Forward Collision Detection Fault". For a while it fixed on its own, then the messages started to become more and more frequent until now the error messages come up every time we turn on the car. With the malfunction that is happening with front camera and collision detection, it prevents cruise control from being used (which is adaptive) and forward collision warnings are not working/inactive. The lack of both of these systems presents a safety issue. The car has been taken to the local Ford dealership which has determined what needs to be replaced (the front camera and cables connecting the camera). However the parts must come from the Ford manufacturer and there is current no ETA that the dealership is being given for the parts to be delivered. When searching online for this issue, there are other owners that have experienced this and there is currently a TSB for this issue (TSB 23-2155).

Driving my Ford Mustang Mach-E has always been a source of joy, but a recent 250-mile road trip unveiled a concerning issue. The dashboard flashed an error message at least 10 times, warning of "Service Front Camera" and "Pre-Collision Assist Unavailable." Each occurrence led to the disengagement of the adaptive cruise control, stripping away my confidence that the car would automatically brake for vehicles ahead. This intermittent malfunction, combined with the unpredictability of its onset, has cast a shadow over my driving experience. It's deeply unsettling to be constantly reminded of potential risks, especially when relying on safety features that once felt so dependable. The trust I had in my car's safety systems is now tinged with apprehension.

I had my 2021 Mustang Mach-E updated with the recall software last year. In July of 2022, my High Voltage Battery Junction Box (HVBJB) still failed, giving me a service vehicle soon and SEVERELY reducing power WHILE driving. I was on the freeway and my car just started reducing speed since I was trying to pass someone and I almost hit them. I received the new HVBJB from my dealer and had been fine since. Then a couple of weeks ago, I received the errors AGAIN with this "new and improved" HVBJB that Ford said is more robust and not supposed to fail. Same thing, on the same freeway I commute (73 toll road in California). I was passing someone and the car hit me with all these errors and SIGNIFICANTLY reduced my power. Like 66% reduction. I had to get back into my lane and was able to get back a safe speed but you basically have no power to pass. This is unacceptable. I received the "new" part and yet get a failure AGAIN? On a normal commute, not at the track, accelerating to show off the EV acceleration, just DRIVING! Please make them fix this for real. My dealer said there was a new bulletin that came out after my first repair that has an updated part number, but it is not a true revised part, meaning the internals are actually differnt, it is more a housekeeping part number update due to something as simple as the sticker being in a different spot, some backend thing, etc. There has been no revision to the components that fail since they "fixed" the part back in 2022.

On Friday 8/18/23 I was driving down a major freeway and my Mach-E jolted violently. I then received a "Stop Safely Now" and "Service Vehicle Soon" message. The vehicle lost all power at this time. Being on a very busy freeway my safety was at risk and I was luckily able to coast over to the right shoulder. The car refused to "start" after pulling over however the 12v battery did work so I was able to use accessories. Once towed to the dealer I was able to confirm a P0AA2 TSB code that indicated that a conductor was stuck open on the high voltage junction box. This was supposed to be fixed by a previous recall software update that FORD uploaded to my car however that was not the case. I am now without a car for 2 weeks but more importantly I am concerned for the safety of other Mach-E drivers as I am reading that this can happen again even after a hardware fix.

Did a DC Fast Charge at Electrify America in Astoria Oregon from 62% to 87%. Used wide open throttle to pass car on mountain climbs about 4 times with in about 30 minutes of charge. When accelerating on to Interstate 5 south received the Service Vehicle Soon warning - Ford App said stop and get car towed. Continued to drive for 22 miles and made it home. Charged car to 85% on Level 2 charger and drove it dealer on Sunday morning, no issues driving. Dealer had the car for one week and replaced the High Voltage Battery Junction Box and so far the car has been fine. Dealer provided a rental car at no cost their service was excellent. However, I thought it would be best to report this incident in light of the recent news.

Windshield loose adhesion from paint separation from primer. The Glass windshield in my car had a small chip occur while driving at 40 mph.. about 60 seconds later a crack appeared about 18 inch long lengthwise across the windshield. after being parked will ordering a new windshield the crack grew to 90 percent the horizontal width of the windshield. Later while having the windshield removed for replacement by the owner New View glass in a cool indoor environment we examined the windshield adhesive and found that the paint was peeling off from the primer where the glass adhesive attaches to the car. The strength of the paint or clear coat bond to the primer or car metal is not sufficient to hold in the glass as a structural part of the car body. I am a car dealer so have more windshields replaced that a normal person. It is very unusual to see this condition. I am aware that some 2021 Mustang mach e had a recall for this condition but this VIN was not included in that recall. Perhaps it should have been. The glue just peels off with the clear or paint

I was driving on the highway (12) in Mandeville, Louisiana and the car (a 2021 all electric Mustang Mach E with only 13k miles) flashed a 'Stop care safely now' sign and then proceeded to power down within 3 seconds of the message. I exited (luckily I was at my exit) and felt the car lose power on the exit ramp. Three signals came up (battery - yet I was at 100% - then a turtle mode and not sure what the third symbol was) and then the car locked up - went into park, would not move or allow me to put into neutral to pull off a very busy highway ramp. I was forced to a dead stop on the ramp (very dangerous). I put on my hazard lights but cars still pilled up all around me, beeping etc. at high rates of speed. I called 911 and the police came out (took about 10 minutes during which time I had to direct traffic around me - again very dangerous) and asked that I move the car but the car would not move or even go into neutral. A DOTD tow truck towed me to a nearby Winn Dixie and then the roadside assistance towed to the Ford Dealer. The Ford Pass app send me the message attached below that said it was forcing a software update and the car would not be able to be used during this update - while the car was in drive and while I was driving it down a four lane highway! Very unsafe considering the car was connected to WIFI at home and that update could have been done at any time - not while driving. There was no notice prior to this that a software update was needed and we have it set

I have been having an intermittent warning error saying my front camera is faulty and my lane assist is no longer operational. The error seemed to come and go with bumps. Here recently it has become permanent around the beginning of April 2023, and I no longer have functionality of many safety features including adaptive cruise control, regular cruise control, lane assist, crash prevention warning, automatic braking, or even regular cruise control (if I try to turn off the adaptive cruise in the settings regular cruise control still does not work), automatic bright lights don't work. I have been trying to get this resolved since I purchased the car but despite a dozen or so trips to the dealership I cannot seem to get it fixed. I've attached a screenshot of some of the dozens (hundreds?) of error messages I have received through the Ford app with the car, which note pre-collision assist is not available. It does not seem safe to have so many safety features non-operational.

I went to start the vehicle and it gave me a red warning "stop safely now". It was already stopped and would not start at all. It had plenty of charge on the battery pack. It's been at the dealer for nearly two weeks and they have had to order the HVJBC, I believe. I am fortunate that it didn't fail while driving or parked in a place which was inaccessible to a tow truck. The forum I read recommended making a report. This seems to be an all to common problem with this car and can lead to sudden acceleration or deceleration while in motion. Had had received an earlier yellow warning for "service vehicle soon" and took it to the dealership and they assured me they had updated all the software (in the hopes of preventing the "stop safely now" problem). Obviously, that didn't work.

I have been trying to get the 2 open recalls on my vehicle done since November 2021. Ford says my dealer is authorized to do the work however my dealer refuses to do the work as Ford will not reimburse the dealer fully as I was told the dealer has to outsource the work. The two other dealers here won’t do my car as I didn’t purchase my car with them. I have been talking to both Ford customer service and my dealer Windward Ford Hawaii and they both blame each other. IFord said the dealer should be able to do the work while the dealer says they can’t until they work out the payment from Ford. I just want the work done so my car is safe. I don’t think I am the only one in Hawaii that hasn’t had this recall work done yet…and it’s not for lack of trying. Ford released an OTA update for the HVB issue Mach-E were having and leaving drivers stranded. I have seen that even with the update many people are still having the cars break down while driving and needing the High Voltage Battery Connector replaced. I am worried that this may happen to my car one day while driving and could cause an accident or death. Is there anyway to force Ford to fix every car that had this issue before we break down? The temporary fix of software is not good. I think FOrd should be forced to recall all Mach-E and replace the connector before there is an accident that leads to deaths on the road.

After latest software updates, the Mustang MachE gets stuck in the guest profile regularly. These profiles are responsible for controlling driver aids, one pedal driving, etc. When stuck, my vehicle removes one pedal driving and the car moves unexpectedly. One pedal driving holds with no break, this is removed and the car creeps when break removed, this nearly caused the car to crash through the garage. This could injure people in parking lots, etc. There are many other driver aids controlled by the profile which could unexpectedly get disabled. I have personally figured out how to reset and recognize this after nearly crashing the car into the garage, but Ford has issued no communications to their customers on how to recognize and revert when this issue occurs. When manufactures issue over the air updates, the need to be responsible for communicating issues and workarounds to their customers directly. The dealers (any my dealer) have been useless about any software bug and just state, wait for ford.

This vehicle has an issue with persisent and now completely locked out safety systems. There's a 40 page forum on MachEForums. Currently at the dealer 2 weeks with no known fix. Adadptive Cruise Control, which isn't concerning, but - Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warnings, Lane Keeping Assistance. I feel unsafe in this vehicle and Ford has no current fix. A serious investigation needs to go into this as I was advised by the Ford BEV team hotline he had just spoken to someone from California who started a buyback for the same reason, and when the dealer couldn't fix it, to call back and advise it's a lemon. The fact Ford themselves suggested this and cannot restore safety systems is beyond scary. Dealer isn't convinced they can fix it and says parts are backordered, meanwhile there's no concise fix. A master tech in the thread has suggested co-axials, while others have had their camera and camera harness replaced. Others like myself are without the loss of a car for weeks while still having to pay for it. Please launch a formal investigation. If it was just adaptive cruise, it wouldn't matter. Normal cruise is knocked out as well as every ADAS feature, due to a 'front camera' / colission avoidance issue. Another tech in the thread suggested the wiring loom was not long enough causing a harsh bend to the coaxial in the bumper. I

* On October 16th, 2022, at about 7:00 pm, I was driving my 2021 Ford Mach-E GT when we began to change lanes (we were in the left lane heading East) as the vehicle in front of us slowed down to make a left-hand turn. There was a car behind us and two vehicles in the right lane (two-lane road in each direction) that were a few car lengths behind us as we began to change into that lane. When I turned on my signal and turned the steering wheel, I pressed the gas pedal to accelerate to get around the car in front of me to keep my distance from the vehicles in the lane I was transitioning into. Unfortunately, when I pressed the gas pedal, we experienced complete vehicle failure. I had no steering, brakes, or acceleration. Within a short time (30-45 minutes), we had no power as the lights on the vehicle, and all electrically powered devices and components were entirely out. This made it very difficult to tow the car as it is all-wheel drive, and we could not put it in Neutral to pull the vehicle. As this happened, five cars were in the area, and several had to swerve and fly off the road onto the dirt shoulder. We barely missed the car in front of us, and the car behind us had to lock up its breaks not to hit us.
